Greetings Worlds - How you all doing this fine evening ?!

It's a warm & clear Wednesday here in England..... the fog of the last few days has cleared & the Sun has come out, to make it dry, but just a little cold - as I wished last night (I think)....  I haven't been outside all day - but, it's been good to look out over the fields to the beach !!

As I type, ME & her boyfriend (M) are upstairs - in her room - having a good tidy up....... her stuff was starting to creep out into the landing area, so it needed it !!  J is upstairs as well, on his computer - judging by how slow the Internet is tonight - so, that leaves me here alone, in the living room..... B has gone out to a gym class & won't be back for over an hour or so, by which time, I will be in bed !!

I had a good sleep this afternoon - but, I'm still feeling poorly from the surgery & needed to get some beauty sleep !!  I will feel better in a day or two - once the wounds have healed up a little bit more..... it all takes time, I know, but - it's still a little bit of a pain...... especially the stitches & glue stuff they use !!

Never mind - tomorrow B is taking me back to the hospital, to see my Consultant & hopefully have the implant turned back on.  We had to turn it off a week before the surgery.. so, tomorrow will be an interesting day !!  I won't know for a few days, if the thing is working this time around, but... after the last mess up, here's hoping they put it in the right place this time !!  I will let you know how things go.....

Then - on Friday - the day after tomorrow, I have to go back to the hospital to have my eye looked at by a specialist guy/lady (I'm not 100% who I'm seeing) to see if my right eye has gone completely "Kup-put" or if they can do anything about improving my sight.......

If you have no idea what I'm on about - a few weeks back, B took me to see the optician, as I was having problems with my (said) right eye.  I can't remember the whole thing, but I have a problem with the cornea & that was giving me blurred vision, something like that any ways.. so, that's Friday.  Why I can't time it, to go to the hospital & see both people on the same day, I don't know... but !!  That's the way of the World & our health service I guess !!  No big deal - I will, again, keep you posted !!

Right - if you remember (if you've read my words before) last November, the river wall in town collapsed & closed a load of shops along the whole street.  Well, I'm glad to say - the little record shop along there has finally been allowed to re-open !!  It's a "one man band" of a shop, selling old stuff & what have you...... I don't use it very often, but - as I like the guy who owns it - I will be going in & checking out some of his stock..... maybe buy a few things, to get him back up & running !!  I hope that will be in the next few days or so.... we will have to wait & see how things go I guess !!

Staying with music..... I've been playing Neil Young's 'Living With War' album most of the afternoon.... but, the music of the moment is 'In The Present - Live In Lyon' by "Yes".  It's not really - for me - a true Yes album, with a stand in vocalist & Rick Wakeman's Son on keyboards - more a sort of Yes "tribute band" !!

That's a point - when does a band,stop being a band ?!  I mean this recording had a guy on vocals, from a Yes tribute band, so..... does that count - even if there is only one original member of the band in the line up.

I wonder........ any thoughts anyone ?!

The best Led Zeppelin tribute band was Page & Plant's 1998 World tour......... all they seemed to play were Zeppelin songs - so, why not call it Led Zeppelin ?!  The Who get away with it..... so - why not !!  Comments welcome on the back of a £10 not please to your favourite charity !!

I think Yes (or what ever you call them) have sacked this singer now..... such is life - thank's Ned !!  Onwards !!

I hope - tomorrow - I will have Neil Young's 'Cow Palace' Cd set in the post.  I'm not sure if it's out yet - but, I think it was due to be released on Monday this week..... I do like Mr Young's live stuff, check out his soundtrack music to Jim Jarmusch's 'Dead Man' film !!  Better still - watch the film, it's one of my favourites !! I hope the 'Cow Palace' show will be good - the music 'mag' I read about it in, well... they called it some very impolite names !!  Which probably means I will love it...... when a reviewer calls some thing rubbish, that usually means we will love to death !!

I also hoping some more of B's birthday presents will be here soon........ I'm buying her all 15 seasons of the American show 'E.R.' - a season a time, so.... by the time of her birthday, she should have all of them !!

B is still a little freaked by who I was last week... when I was kept in hospital, due to my lack of breathing !!  Bless her, she was really upset, that last Christmas (2011) was going to be my last & then all this c**p happens... not breathing & what have you.  She really does have the worse part of this deal !!

She is my Wife & Dearest Friend & I love her soooooo much, I hate it when she gets worried !!  But - that's the way things are - all I can do is keep flapping my arms !!

Right - plans for tonight.  There were going to be some friends from Church visiting tonight, but B called that off - mainly as I'm not really "with-it" yet & couldn't face a house full of people here about's.  They know they are always welcome - tonight tho' - I just needed a break, an early night & then bed !!  Besides - I'm still a little bit pissed of with The Church at the moment - so, having visitors around tonight would probably been the best thing not to happen tonight !!

So - with a hectic couple of days ahead of us - I will away..... my thanks to my Russian friend for logging in tonight - it's always great to know my words are been read, even if I don't know who you are !!  I thank you.

Greetings - It's Still Foggy !!

Well "Hello" Everybody - How are your Worlds treating you today ?!

It's another Tuesday here in England & it's still foggy outside !!  Ok - I know it's a little warmer (with the fog) but - I would settle for cold & dry..... at the moment, I can hardly see across the street, let alone over to the beach !!  Oh well...... at least I've stayed in the house all day, so.........

Right - as I type, J is behind me doing some dishes, ME has just come home from Uni placement & B has just gone out to her 'Weight-Watchers' meeting...... so, apart from the cats - who I think are upstairs on the beds - that's the family taken care of.

The music of the moment was Miles Davis's 'Kind Of Blue' album.  I was reading 'Skydog' by Randy Poe - about Duane Allman & as it mentioned Miles Davis.... well, I decided to give it a play !!  I've turned it off for a little while, mainly as 'Pointless' has just started on the BBC.  Older readers will know that it's one of my families favourite TV quiz shows & - nearly - everything stops so they can watch it !!  Sad I know - but, it's all good fun !!

Just staying with ME - she has got the new job she went for !!  It's working in the caring sector & will help for when she graduates as a nurse.  She has handed in her notice at the shop - where she has worked for most of the last 3 years - and starts her new place this weekend.  So - good for her I say !!  It's more money for less hours - so, that can't be bad.... plus she gets fuel money on top !!

Yesterday afternoon, my Jehovah's Witness came for a visit.  He didn't stay very long, as - I quote - I looked "knackered".... which wasn't far from the truth, but it was nice of him to call around.  For once, he didn't try to convert me - it was just a friendly visit, by a friend... I liked that !!  I must of looked bad tho' - for him to say that..... oh well.......

I'm doing quite well at the moment... health wise.  I'm still hurting from last weeks surgery, but.... nothing a few hours in bed today helped !!  I'm just worn out by it all really & the quicker I can "heal" the better I will feel.  I've told ME I'm willing to share the stitches & what have you, but, she is happy to leave them with me !

I have to go back to the hospital on Thursday - I think - and from there things should move on..... we will see how it goes, I guess !!

On wards.......  I was checking the Zeppelin collection earlier & I couldn't find one at all from March 13th !!  So I will skip that tonight..... there will be more, just not tonight !!

On the news earlier - there was something about a guy being sent to America, for running a web site that told people how to get onto other sites, that allowed you to download films.  It was pretty dumb, what he was doing, but - I'm not sure he needed to be extradited to America about it ?!

As far as I can see - he had nothing illegal on his actual web site, but..... I think it's a bit of "overkill" going all thru' the legal system.  I write about my concert collection - but............ I think it's a bit OTT !!  All to do with money I guess !!

Last week - or the week before - there was a guy extradited for selling stuff, used in the guidance systems of missiles (I think that's what it was) & I can see how wrong that was - especially in today's World...... but, he made a load of money out of what he was doing.... I don't think the film guy is in the same league !!  Oh well........

I see my reader in Germany has logged in again today - "Hi".... I hope you are well ?!  It's great to know the same people keep coming back to read more of my words - I thank you for your time folks !!

Right - my plans for tonight.... get into bed & go to sleep.... how is that for a plan ?!  No - I know it's not very exciting, but it's all I've got !!  I could stay here & watch 'Star Trek' on TV - but..... I've already seen today's episode... many, many, many times before - so I'll skip that one tonight !!  I think, bed & sleep is the best plan....as for tomorrow - well, that (as they say) is another day...... so, until next time........

A Foggy Day & A Quite Life !!

Hi Everybody - I hope you are all well !!

It's a Monday lunch time, here in England.... it's very misty outside - not toooooo cold, just a little horrid !! Oh well...... onwards...

I wasn't thinking about posting today... I was thinking about staying warm in my bed !!  But that will be later - for now, I'm sat here typing these words to you & listening to Pink Floyd's 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' Cd.  I know, there are millions of people who feel anything after 'The Final Cut' is not really a Pink Floyd album...... I'm not one of them !!  I enjoyed this album & 'The Division Bell' & all the live stuff they did from the tours that went with them !!  That's just me...... I like a good live album, I really do.... as my long time readers will know !!

Anyhoo, I'm sat here in the living room.... J is upstairs, ME is somewhere between Bristol & Taunton & my lovely Wife is out at a gym class....... she will be home in about an hour I guess.  Which will fine by me, mainly as some guy keeps phoning for her & won't leave me with a message !!  When she gets here, she can call him back....

Earlier - about an hour or so - a guy came to service the boiler, which runs our central heating system.  I wasn't expecting him & when J answered the door, I said he couldn't come in !!  I wasn't being mean or anything - I just felt like c**p & he hadn't made an appointment to visit, so I felt like he should just go away.  It turned out to be a guy I know.... so, I gave in & he did what he had to do.

I explained I had just come out of the hospital & wasn't feeling too special or expecting him... so, he kind of understood my feelings on the subject.  He was lucky anybody was here to let him in at all !!  Maybe next year he'll plan ahead a little & give us a call first !!

I'm still feeling 'poorly' from the surgery last week..... I actually went to bed really early last night - about 6pm,

I just needed to sleep !!  M was here, that's ME's boyfriend & I hope he felt I wasn't being rude... but... I had to sleep for a while !!  It worked anyway - I slept like a log for most of the night !!

I was looking for a Led Zeppelin show from today (March 12th) & found 2 !!  The best of them is from Long Beach 1975.  It's a soundboard recording of the full show & rocks along quite nicely thank you !!  The tracks are:

Right... my plans for the rest of the day... well, no surprises there, I don't have any !!  I am heading back upstairs for a short sleep, but - apart from that - it's going to be a very quiet afternoon really.  It's such a hectic life I have, I can hardly keep pace with everything that is going on around me !!  Until next time...

King William III & 4 Breaths A Minute !!

Hello Everybody - I hope you're all turning nicely on your Internet Wolds ?!

Well, it's a Saturday & I'm sat here on my own some.  The "ladies" of the household have gone out looking at cars  (again) & J is upstairs some place...... leaving me here in the living room, typing these words & listening to UFO's 'Chrysalis Years 1973-1979'.  For a change, I'm blasting it thru' my headphones...... I can play it louder & I hardly use them, so...... may as well give them a blasting !!

Just on the UFO thing - I've put in an order for the second part of their 'Chrysalis Years' collection.... it's not out yet, but it will be good to replace some of the old Lp's while I have the chance !!  Onwards.....

So - how has your week been ?  I learnt 2 things over the last few day.... (1) 310 years ago this week, King William 3rd died & was followed by Queen Anne. (2) If you only breathe at 4 beats a minute, doctors tend to get very excited & concerned !!  I will try & explain......

I went into hospital on Wednesday, for another surgery - this time to try & sort out the blooming implant.  Having been fitted in November, it refused to work & needed to be looked at.  So far, so good......

Now, if you've read my words before, you will know that B & I have this little 'ritual' thing, where she comes up to the theatre with me & we say our "good byes" at the entrance.  Well, that didn't happen this time.  I wasn't due in (theatre) until 4pm - so B went into the town to pay some bills - unfortunately, I was put ahead on the list & it meant B wasn't there... "Boo-Hoo" !!  Never mind - I missed her, but all went well & I had a laugh & joke with the 'pit-crew' - they sent me off to sleep & that was it....... from there it went down hill !!

I came around, about 90 minutes later, in the recovery suite & boy oh boy, did I ever hurt !!  So much so that R (the lady who looks after me, after surgeries) gave me some pain killers....... after that, I don't remember very much at all !!

However, from what I've learnt since, my breathing went all to pot - down to 4 breaths a minute at one time - and various Dr's & staff, went into "panic mode" trying to pull me around.......  B said afterwards, it was the worse I have ever been following surgery & she was really worried, bless her !!

I don't remember anything of it really - the first thing I can bring to mind, was B sat next to me, talking to me ! Oh well - trust me to stir it up a bit !!  I'm seeing the Consultant again, next Thursday, so we'll see how things have gone then !!  The main thing is, I'm home again !!  At least here I can relax, in my own way - even if it means staying in bed for a few days - I would much rather be home !!  Onwards....... ever onwards !!

In the corner, as I type, the TV is on quiet.... it has the DVD of 'Kingdom Of Heaven' playing to it's self.  It's the Ridley Scott film, mostly about the Crusades & what have you.  It's one of those films I can watch over & over...... Check it out - especially the 'extended' version, it makes a little more sense than the general release version !!

Right, my plans for today - and the weekend - are really to rest up & let the new 'wounds' heal a little bit !!  That will mean I miss Church tomorrow, but...... I'm home on condition I rest, so.... that beats being in hospital, even if I do miss Church !!  I know The Lord will be with me here....... as I told a nurse in the hospital, I believe in 2 things.  My Wife & Dearest Friend + The Lord above.

When I said that, she was surprised - mainly, as she put it "it's nice to know someone else believes in God"....it also turned out that she knows one our Church members !!  It's a small World folks !!  Oh well - I must be on my way - I need some beauty sleep !!

I'm getting up early tomorrow !! Ho hum !!

Hi Everybody... How have your days been..... Good I hope !!

Well, it's another Tuesday here in England & I'm completely blown away by the numbers of you who have logged on this past week !!  From America, thru' Europe & Russia... right over as far as Japan & beyond !!  It's amazing... well, to me it is at least & I'm not that easily "blown away" - I'm really not !!  I thank you all for your time & for reading my words !!

Right - it's a Tuesday evening here in England... the Sun has been out all day & it has been a very hectic day all around for your's truly !!  Starting with last evening.... I finished the post off quite quickly yesterday & that was mainly down to a phone call I had reach me.

I had been into the hospital, last Thursday - and I had hoped to have surgery on Friday.  That didn't happen, which we didn't worry to much about......... but, yesterday, I had a call to see if I could go in tomorrow.  So, today - B drove me into Taunton for a quick check up & tomorrow (Wednesday) I'm back in !!  "Yippee" !!

Now, I'm not that excited about having another surgery - but, I hope that - this time - they will get it right & sort out the blooming implant !!  The thing has been in since November (check old posts) & it still isn't working - so, if all goes well it will be fixed in the morning !!  Here's hoping !!

I have to go in at 8am - meaning I have to leave home about 7am - and if all goes well, I will be allowed home tomorrow night !!  Again - here' hoping !!  Anyhooooo - it will be good to get it over with... B thought I would be waiting months !!  I will keep you up to date on how things go !!  I hope all will go well... I'm not looking forward to the pain & the blooming stitches, but.....!!  Onwards.......... ever onwards !!

As I type - J is behind me doing the dishes, ME is sat a little ways away, watching 'Pointless' (her favourite TV programme at the moment)... B has gone out to 'weight-watchers' & will be home in a couple of hours, which leaves me here typing !!  I'm going to have a quiet evening.... just resting up & - as soon as the TV is switched off - the music will be blasting it's way around the homestead !!  That will be in about 40 minutes or so....... again "Yippeeee" !!

I was playing the soundtrack to some of the 'Woodstock' DVD's this afternoon.... that was good, as I had forgotten most of them !!  It wasn't the movie soundtrack, just the 'extra' tracks from the DVD that came out 3 years or so ago..... as I do, I had transferred them over to Cd & that's what I was playing.  There is a good Grateful Dead track on there - 'Turn On Your Love Light' - and it bops along nicely for about 30 minutes !!  I will never get to see any of the band play live, but I really like their live recordings !!  Talking of live recordings.....

I like this show... I always have !!  It still amazes me how people were able to sneak recording gear into the shows & then get an almost complete recording of the entire set !!  Having been to Zeppelin shows, the 'security' was always tight, so...... 2 things about the show.... it was (I think) the 3rd show of the 1973 European tour + it was the first time, I've heard the 5th album called 'Houses Of The Holy'.  Up until then, it was always called 'Led Zeppelin 5'  As always - don't buy bootlegs !!  Onwards & onwards........

Right, my plans tonight.... none at all !!  I have to tidy up this stupid table of mine.... I can hardly see it under the piles of junk !!  I did a 2 Cd set for B, for our anniversary, yesterday & I've not put the various source Cd's away yet !!  I won't have time tonight, but I can put them neatly to one side, if nothing else !!  I won't be doing anything with them tomorrow & that's for sure !!

I used to enjoy doing 'mix-tapes'..... now, it's fun to do Cd's instead !!  I will have to tidy them tho'........

But - even doing that, I will have a bit of an early night........ getting up sooooo early tomorrow, well - I will need my beauty sleep & that's for sure !!  I think B will be getting me out of bed about 6am & I'm not looking forward to that wake up call !!  Oh well....... what will be , will be !!  I'm going to be sleeping well tomorrow & I can't argue about that...........

Greetings !!

Well Hello Everybody - How has your day been so far ?!

Our's has been well good !!  As I type, we are all here & that's unusual in it's self.... but, add to that it's been a bright Spring day + it's our wedding anniversary !!  So all is well with the World !!  Well, our little bit of it at 

least !!

Having said we're all here - B has just gone out for a walk down to the village shops !!  She'll be back soon..... so, ME is here beside me, doing some Uni stuff (B & ME had to go up to Bristol this morning) & J is up in his Hobbit hole of a room !!

More by luck than any plan I made - a book I had ordered, for B, came this morning.... so that's her anniversary pressy !!  It's another cook book... so, the kitchen will be smelling good in a day or 2 as she tries out new recipes !!  Also, by luck - my gift came today as well - the new Bruce Springsteen 'Wrecking Ball' album...... which is the music of the moment !!  Onwards......

A little later, ME is heading into the hospital, to check out a ringing in her ears !!  M, her boyfriend is driving her in - so we're all hopeful that goes off Ok !!  We'll see how she gets on, a little later, I guess !!

Right..... it's March 5th.... so - it has to be a Led Zeppelin show from this day & there is only one that I can pick !!  Why ?  Well - it's from this day in 1971 & the band were in Belfast, for the first & only visit to Northern Ireland..... the tracks are:

Right - our plans today... well, we're going to have a quiet day at home !!  It might be our anniversary, but..... I want a day at home & I think that is what we are going to do !!  Unless B comes up with another idea !!

Greetings !!

Greetings Everybody Out There In Internet Space !!  How are you all doing this fine morning ?!

It's a Saturday & I'm here - feeling slightly worse for wear, but.... still flapping these old arm of mine !!  I might be down, but I'm not out... well, not quite yet at least !!  Onwards, ever onwards.....

I'm sat here alone at the moment... J is stood behind me, getting some lunch.. but, apart from that - well, it's all quiet !!  B & ME have gone out shopping........ for a new car !!  Yep, that's right... our Daughter is in the market for a new set of wheels & she has taken Mum with her to look at various cars around and about.  At the moment, she is thinking about a Fiat 500, but... it will probably be something else next week !!  I've told her, not to sign up for anything until I see what she is thinking about buying !!

Talking of 'seeing'........ my right eye has gone completely off on a tangent - I can not see a blooming thing out of it !!  Honestly, the last couple of days have been really frustrating, as - bit by bit, my World has got blurrier & blurrier !!  Is "blurrier" an actual word ?  It's crazy - to type this - well, to read it back - I have to close my right eye & use the left one on it's own.... how crazy is that ?!

It's been a bummer of a week, health wise & this has just added to the whole thing...... to explain - as best I can !!  I'm going in to see an 'eye doctor' - whatever they call it in a couple of weeks... so, we should have some answers then... I hope !!

Plus as mentioned before - I had to see my Consultant, about the implant, on Thursday.  To start with, I saw a junior Dr who really didn't know me - or my case - and that upset me a bit.... thinking I had to go thru' it 'all' again.  Explaining the problem & what have you.... however, after a few minutes, the Consultant showed up - full of "sorry's" for not being there etc... ...  The upshot of all of it - well, I could of had surgery yesterday,  if all had gone well, but.... !!  The guy couldn't fit me - as his surgery "list" was full & there wasn't enough time to get me in, operated on & what have you... there wasn't just enough room on his schedule.  That was a shame, but - it's going to be done sooner, rather than later & - for us - that's the main thing !! 

He needs to do it quickly, according to him, before everything "heals up" & what have you.... I did get one concession out of him tho' - the implant itself will be fitted in my front or side - rather than, as it is now, in my lower back !!  That means, I hope, I will be able to sit down easier !!  We will see how things go - I'm to wait by the phone & he'll let me know when I can go back in......... great stuff !!

Right, that was Thursday - yesterday - I had to see my local GP, who is quite happy with me at the moment (I'm glad to say) & also another one of my Consultants...... She is very nice, but she wants to keep me on the same pills & potions, at least, until after the implant surgery !!  That was a bit of a let down, as I had hoped to cut back a bit on what I take, but..... it's not to be, well, not for a little while at least !!

So - add into all of that, my right eye going blurry, everything is "coming up roses" as they say...... it's all good, just very frustrating !!  Onwards.....

I see on the news, there has been some bad tornado damage & loss of life in America..... our prayers are with you all.  Looking at the pictures, it makes what I'm having to put up with seem very small !!

I'm not 'allowed' out at the moment, sooooo we won't be at Church tomorrow.  It comes to something when my Dr's make it a sort of rule to stay in the house & rest !!  I think I'm Ok to go out - but, if I want the surgery, I have to make sure I'm well enough to have it !! 

 I'll e-mail Bishop after I finish this, to let him know I've not run away or anything !!  I am a little upset - with the Church - at the moment... mainly over the whole going to Temple thing.... but, if it's not to be, it's not to

be !!

The music of the moment - and for the last hour - is Gov't Mules 'The Deep End' 3 Cd set.  I rarely play their studio stuff, but I enjoy this set.... so, why not !!  By putting the Cd's on 'shuffle'... well, it breaks it up a bit !!

I don't have Led Zeppelin concerts from March 3rd, but.... I do have one, I like, from March 4th & as I will not be on the computer tomorrow, I thought I would jump ahead a day.  So, on March 4th 1975, the band were in Dallas, Texas for the first of a 2 night stop over..  I have several Cd's from this show, but the best one is the following set:

This is one of those bootlegs that has been around - almost since 'day one' - by which I mean, it was one of the easiest to get, even years & years ago !!  It came out as single Lp, then a 2 Lp set... a single Cd, a 2 Cd & finally as a complete 3 Cd set of the show.  I've had nearly all of the above at some point or another - it really was sooooo easy to find.... there was even copies of it in regular 'record shops' - honestly, there were so many copies of it about !!  It's a sound board recording & is very good on the ears.... but, as always - don't buy bootlegs !!  Buy the official stuff......

While I was looking at the shows (from above) I found a Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris Cd that I had lost !!  I know, how can a person lose a Cd ? - well, quite easily really..... especially when it's in a box of Led Zeppelin shows !!  I did wonder where I had put it....... to the point where I bought another copy to replace the thing !!  Oh well...... I must have a better look in the other boxes, The Lord knows what else might be 'lost' in those as well !!  Ho-hum...........

So - today's plans..... as usual, I have none at all !!  I know I have to rest up, but... I guess I'll just sit here & listen to music or watch a film - that sounds like a plan to me folks !!  As for the rest of the weekend.... more of the above I guess !!  It's such a hard life, but.... somebody had got to do it !!  I don't mind now - knowing that the surgery is going to happen..... it's was the not knowing that was the worry !!

I was going to mention - it's been really great weather here in England these past few days !!  It was the first day of Spring on Saint David's Day (March 1st) & so far at least, the weather, in our little corner of England, has been really good..... I think it's going back to rain over the coming days, but......  It's nice to see the Sun shine over the fields & stuff !!

It's our wedding anniversary on Monday - so, I hope the weather will stay good for that..... we're not thinking about doing anything special, but it would be nice to have a bit of sunshine !!  Anyhoo, I must away & try & read this back, before posting it !!  So, with 'Blind Man In The Dark' playing in the background, I will away.... my thanks to you all for reading.... especially my Russian reader who logged in today !!  Until next time...
