Anyhoo... "hello" to my Russian reader, who logged in a short while ago - it's great to know you are there !! At some point, let me know what you are listening to..... I'm always interested in other people's music taste !!
At the moment, I'm playing an old Roger Water's concert... I can't remember the exact date of the thing, but.... I sat by my old radio, back in 1986, listening to it.... feeling very tired !! It was a Friday - April 25th (I believe) and I had had a really shit week !! But - knowing this was actually coming on the radio, late, I managed to stay awake, just long enough to make a tape of it !!

I've just looked up the date & it - the concert - was recorded on March 28th 1985...... over a year before I actually made the tape !! I will always remember listening to it, back in 1986 & how tired I was that night.... oh well !!
It's been a fantastic week, for music... I've had sooooo much new stuff reach me - so, to all of you, around the World, I thank you for your time & gifts !! I'll get around to listening to everything over the coming weeks...... I can't get over the Dream Theater box set + the the Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here' re-mastered Cd..... "Wow" !!
Plus, to everything I've already written about, I've had some more Emerson, Lake & Palmer Cd's and some Jimi Hendrix live recordings - which, as yet, I've not got around to even opening !! There is so, so very much going on, I can't keep up with everything that has arrived !! Again - I thank you !!
Enough about music... "The Family" !!
As I type, B is upstairs in J's old room... which she is using as a bit of a space, to do her crafts & stuff - she is busy making Christmas cards, something she always leaves to the last minute !! As for ME - well, she has gone to her new place of work, today... some sort of "induction" training day. I think she starts there, full time, in a week or two !! Which just leaves J - who might still hate my guts... I don't know (it's up to him).... but, he is still over in Wales, at Uni....... so, that's the family !!
It's been a funny sort of week.... I felt like crap, on Monday... when I had to go down to the hospital, in Exeter - and today, after feeling a bit rough, this morning.... well, now (3.20 pm) I feel "Ok" !! A very strange week, health wise !!*
A short while ago, I had to go down to my local surgery - to have my dressings changed.... from what the nurse said, the wound is healing up really nicely !! I'm not 100% sure, why I need another surgery.... especially with a skin graft..... if it's getting better ?! It's taken a while - but, I'll have to wait & see how things go !!
I'm just glad things are getting along.... it's been a very long 6 months, in more ways than one !! Thank's J - for kicking it off with a great start..... oh well, moving on !!
I've just spoken to my Consultant's secretary - about seeing the guy. I completely messed up !! I got the appointment date all wrong & B has had to 'phone back & double check what was happening - I tell you, I can't sort bugger all out these days, with-out completely getting it wrong !!
Back to music - I'm trying to sort Cd's, into cases.... which is a never ending job..... but, it's brilliant in a way, because I'm finding stuff, that - basically - I had forgotten about !! For example - a lovely bit of a Nightwish concert, from last year !! I don't remember much about it - but, I'm listening to it now... well good !!
So - that's the music of the moment.... Hopefully, maybe tomorrow, I'll have some new things reach me, in the post !! I'm expecting the latest Rush 3 Cd live set + the soundtrack recording from season one of the 'Vikings' TV show..... I loved watching the DVD's.... and hopefully the s/t will be here soon !! Oh - also, the soundtrack of 'Blade Runner' will be here soon as well.... that's a 3 Cd set, as well.
I've been playing all of the 5 DVD's of 'Blade Runner' - from a fantastic box set - and the music has really got a "hook" into me !! I hope that will arrive next week, at some point - it's all great stuff !! As I've said, many times before - too much music & too few brain cells to listen to it all with !!
Right - I must be on my ways... things to do & everything !! I thank you, as always, for taking the time to read my words & logging in....... until next time...

Pink Floyd, Dream Theater & a Scary Drive Home
Well Hello World's !!
I hope you are doing Ok ? It's been a very weird & wonderful week - for all of us really... not just me !! Hence, I'm sorry to say, I've not been writing this past few days - go on, shoot me !!
First "The Family"
As I type, I'm down here, on my ownsome... ME has had a day off, after doing another night shift. so she has headed into town... and I quote, "to catch up on a few things"... J is still over in Wales, at Uni - and My Wife & Dearest Friend, B.... well, poor B - she is in bed !!
To explain - as best as I can..,... B has had an ongoing hip problem, lots of pain & stuff - for which she has has physio & stuff. But, today - she had to go into the local (town) hospital, to have some kind of injection - I don't know exactly what it's called - actually into the hip bones... which, if all goes well, will help her. That was this morning.....
Now then - I knew it was going to hurt - having had similar injections, myself, into my lower back..... however - when I offered to drive home & B said "please" - well, I knew she was hurting !!
So - for, I think, the first time in over a year, I got behind the wheel & drove !! It's kind of weird really.... trying to drive, with no feeling in my right leg & little to no feeling in my left leg !! Add to that, of course, the load of metal work - which now makes up the biggest part of my spine.... and you have an interesting combination.... !!
Anyhoo - I took my time & got us home, pretty much in one piece.... and after a bit of a rest, we went up to have a little sleep.... and, that's where I've left B - in bed, in the warm, resting her aches & pains !! Most certainly the best place she can be - it's better than sitting down here and thinking about it..... at least, where she is, it's a lot more comfy !!
I mentioned it had been a strange week - well, I'll go back to Sunday.... I can't remember the last time I posted, so - if I'm repeating myself.... sorry !!
On Sunday, I had to go into town - to the same hospital, as today - to have my dressing changed. When we got there, I thought we would be hours... there were about 30+ people, all in the waiting area & I honestly thought it was going to be a very long afternoon !! As it turned out, I was wrong.... I'm glad to say !!
Most of those there, well - I had to go to a different waiting room & there were only two of us there !! I was number 2 - and as two nurses came in - I went straight in & got myself sorted !! It was kind of good tho' - to see the faces of those waiting.... in the other room. We arrive after them - go thru' to the other place, get sorted & then come out - past all of the people, who probably had been waiting, for more than, a little while !! You could almost see their thoughts "Why has he been seen ahead of me - I was here first" !! type of stuff !!
That was Sunday..... on Monday, I felt like shit... I really did !! If ever there was a day, to stay in bed & say "Go away World" - that was it.... I felt like crap... with what I thought was the start of a cold. That was bad - as I had to be in Exeter, for 2pm - to have my "pre-op".... ready for the plastic surgery, on my back wound.
Going down, well - at one point, I nearly had to have B turn around... I felt that bad - but, I sort of got past the worst of it & we landed up, eventually (after a few wrong turns) at the hospital. I had been there, back in 1995 - but, to be honest - I don't remember much about the place. I certainly do not remember it being sooooo chaotic - it was crazy, it really was !!
As it was - I saw a lovely lady, by the name of Jo - and after about an hour, a few tests & what have you - we were on our ways home again. I still have to wait for a date, for actually going into the hospital - but, with everything out of the ways now... all I can do is sit back & wait !! Hopefully, it can be done before Christmas - it would be a bummer to have to wait until the New Year... especially, if you're a long time reader, you will know... all of this, about my going into hospital, started (this time) back in November, last year !!
I jokingly said to a guy - last December, that it would be a year, before I was finished... and, as it's turned out... well - it seems like, my little joke, backfired on me... just a little bit !!
The trip home, was a bit of a nasty one... again, I felt bad... and actually did get B to stop for a while, so I could get out of the car, to get a bit of air !! The weather didn't help - nasty rain & mist - not good, for driving on the motorway !!
Nevermind - I went to bed, as soon as we got home... and, by yesterday - the following day - I felt pretty good !! Whatever I had, it seemed to go right past me, inside 24 hours 7 that was it... I'm glad to say !! Sooooo good, that I went, with B, into town & we had a little pop around - going into the bank and that sort of stuff..... which, in a way, brings us right back to today !! As I said earlier - a weird kind of week.... I'm just going upstairs, to check on B....
Ok - she seems happy - tho' she is not used to me looking after her..... oh well !!
On the music front, this week has been a pretty good one !!
I'm not sure which day it actually reached me, but the new version of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' album arrived & I've been playing Cd 2, as I've been typing these words.... mainly to here the official live stuff, from Wembley 1974 - that's 39 years ago - "Wow" - why they've not released it before, well - I don't know.... it's been available, on bootleg, for years...... nevermind !! It's pretty good tho' - great to hear it....
Plus - today... when we got home this morning, there was a "big" parcel waiting for me.... containing the new Dream Theater deluxe 'Live At Luna Park' set !! I think, altho' I've not opened it yet, it has 3 live Cd's - 2 DVD's + the 'Blue-Ray' versions of the same stuff.... which, in a way, is a bit naff, as we don't (as yet) have a Blue-Ray player !!
When I broke into the actual parcel, I thought I had been sent the wrong thing... as it's about the size of a 12 inch Lp, well - a little smaller. But, it's really looks good - I will have to decide if I'm going to open it, or wait until Christmas - as it's suppose to be a gift, for under the tree !! Time will tell on that one, I guess !!
Oh well - it's been a good week, for music, if not for our health !! Life will sort itself out - after all, it's been "Ok" up until now......

Early 'phone calls & Jefferson Airplane !!
Greetings World's !!
I hope your bit of the Universe is treating you well - it's bloody cold, here in the South-West corner of England.... not that cold, but too cold for my liking !! As if to prove my point - all of the cats are in, at the moment. Two are up on the beds & one is up on the landing... which leaves young Archie, here behind me, in the kitchen - filling his face !!
Over the last couple of months - the "tabby's" in particular - have come around to accepting Archie.... the old one, Smudge - well, he had very little choice in the matter !! Archie decided, from day one, that baiting the hairy black thing (AKA Smudge) was going to be fun.... and so, it all went from there really.
Mind you - with the weather turning colder, I think the "tabby's" decided "What the f**k" and decided they could do better, inside... where it's warm.... and just gave up worrying about the "newby" !! Mind you - they are more than capable of knocking Archie clean off of his feet, if they wanted to..... so.....
Anyways - enough of the cats.... The Family !!
Well, it's just B & myself home today. ME has gone into town, to meet up with M & she will be back a bit later...... she isn't working tonight, so... she can have a bit of a break !! With J up in West Wales - that's about it, for the family !!
Tho' - I was thinking, earlier, about my ex-Brother-in-law (my Sister's first husband)...... The reason for this mad bit of recollection ? Well - I was playing some old live stuff, by Cream.... and I remembered when they broke up, first time around - how he couldn't understand, why there was sooooo much fuss being made about it. There were news reports & - eventually - a documentary, on the BBC.... with bits of their "Farewell Cream" show, at the Royal Albert Hall, in London.
He could get his head around the fact that, despite not being on Top of the Pops, or forever on Radio One.... why they were so popular !! Well - I've no idea where my ex-Brother-in-law is now (even if he is still alive).... but, the fact that people like me, are still playing their music, all these years later, goes to show, what the fuss really was about !!
I was actually doing the dishes, on my purpose built chair - honestly - and listening to Cream's two live albums - that came out, way back when.... I was using the Mini Egg - so, I can't remember what year they really came out, but the tracks are:

Ok - that's about it, for today at least....... I've done next to nothing today really..... oh, I forgot !!
I mentioned our neighbour (P) and how B has been helping look after his dog, Murphy..... well, this morning, before 8.30, the phone rang.... as we were still in bed, I didn't go out of my way to rush to answer it !! When I eventually did get around to picking up the message, it was P - asking us to let Murphy out, at some point, this morning !! Come on - that's taking the piss - if you've got a dog, work out what you're going to do with it - don't go 'phoning your neighbours up, at that time of the morning, to sort the poor mutt
out !! Honestly - I was not a happy person, when I finally heard the message...... give me a break P !!

Fleetwood Mac - Live 1977 & other stuff.
Well "Hello" World's !!
I hope you are all doing Ok ? It's another Friday, here in England.... it's been raining off & on, all thru' the morning - but, at the moment, it seems to have dried up a wee bit !! B has just taken Murphy out for a quick walk - so, it can't be that wet !!
I wasn't too happy, with B, for taking the Murph out..... mainly as the more she did - the less P (his owner) did !! So - B would take him out, during the day... then - well, that was it !! Even if P came home from work early, he would just let poor old Murphy sit there..... with no attempt to walk him, himself !! It got really stupid - Murphy seemed to think he was our dog...... with B as his main owner !!
So - a while back, I asked B to "slow down" a bit on the walking stuff.... to try & make his owner (P) do the work himself. But, it became obvious, that B was missing her walks - so, I kind of gave in & said for her to carry on !! She didn't have to listen to me.... but, we're not the dogs owner & I didn't see why we should be responsible for looking after him !!
I think what was really getting to me.... P was relying on B to look after Murphy, on weekends - while he went off to different places..... that was a bit too much for me !! If you're going to own a dog - you have to take responsibility for the thing !!
When his Wife left him - we did agree to help with Murphy.... which was all w could do, while he was sorting out the next step - what he was going to do next. Well - that was over a year ago...... I think we've done our bit !! He has sorted out what he's doing..... so........
P is now talking about moving over to New Zealand... I think his Daughter lives out there. The first thing B said to me was "We're not having the dog" !! It's funny, but - I hadn't even considered that part of it, at all !! Oh well..... moving along.....
The family......
B, as mentioned, is out walking the dog.... ME is in bed - she is doing another night shift, so is trying to get some sleep in..... and J is still over in Wales, at Uni. That just leaves me, here, with the oldest of our 4 cats. I think he is hoping I'm going to give him some "cat treats" - but, he's out of luck.... well, for now, at least !!
This morning, I had another visit to the Dr's surgery - to have my dressing changed.... bummer !! Tho' - having said that - the lady I see, on Fridays, is really good.... and doesn't hurt me too much !! One of them, well.... she just rips the old stuff off.... which is kind of nasty !! Today's went pretty well tho'.... even if I did come back & go back to sleep, for a few hours !!
By the sound of things - B has returned from her walk..... yep.... it has just started to rain, so she has headed home, I'm glad to say !!
As for the music of the moment... well, it's a bit of a mixture. I was playing Pink Floyd's 'Winter Tour '74' bootleg..... which I found last night, in with a load of other stuff - including the music of the moment, which is Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' album. Well - it's the "bonus" live Cd - which came with the 2013 re-release !! There are sooooo versions of this album out....... but, I wanted to here the live disc, so.......
Inside of the Cd "jacket sleeve" there is a fantastic picture of the band, on stage, in front of a massive stadium audience.... it's quite impressive !! Well, I've decided to get it framed and I'm going to have put up, on one of the walls. I think it's a fantastic bit of art work...... so, why not !!
Just going back to Pink Floyd..... I was listening to there live show, from The Oakland Coliseum in May 1977. I do have a Cd set of the concert - but, I found it on YouTube...... and it was fantastic to hear it again !! The tracks are:

Anyhoo..... the tracks look familiar - so, if I've repeated myself, I'm sorry !! Sooooo much music & so little memory to store it on - oh well...... what can I say ?!
Oh - as always - don't buy bootlegs.... buy the official stuff !! Which reminds me.... the postman has been & gone, with-out leaving me any Cd's.... that's a bummer !! There are at least 3 different albums, in the postal system & on their ways to me..... come on Mr Postman, I want my next music fix !! Nevermind - maybe tomorrow.....
There is a record fair, tomorrow, in Exeter.... which, if things were different, I would like to go to.... but, as things are..... !! I would be too tired, to do the 100 mile round trip, tomorrow & then again, on Monday - when - as you might know - I have to go down to the hospital, for my pre-op !! Two 100 mile round trips, in a couple of days - well..... that would be too much for me, as things are right now.
It's Ok tho'.... there is nothing I really want - but, it would be nice to have met up with some of my old friends !! Maybe another time - I'll have to see how things go, I guess......
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day.... for once, I actually have some - plans that is !! I have started sorting out the Cd's (at last) and am now onto my 3rd shelf !! That might sound good.... but, there are another 18 to go, after that.... so, I have my work cut out, for me !!
On the upside - I am finding lots of Cd's that I had forgotten about..... stuff that came just before I went into hospital, last May. So - it's been a bit of fun going thru' them - and trying to remember where, and why, I got them !! Ain't life good.... well, I think so.......
So, for now.... I will away. I thank you all for logging in & reading my words.... it's great to know you are there, someplace, in the Universe, reading my wondrings..... until next time...

I hope you are all doing Ok ? It's another Friday, here in England.... it's been raining off & on, all thru' the morning - but, at the moment, it seems to have dried up a wee bit !! B has just taken Murphy out for a quick walk - so, it can't be that wet !!
I wasn't too happy, with B, for taking the Murph out..... mainly as the more she did - the less P (his owner) did !! So - B would take him out, during the day... then - well, that was it !! Even if P came home from work early, he would just let poor old Murphy sit there..... with no attempt to walk him, himself !! It got really stupid - Murphy seemed to think he was our dog...... with B as his main owner !!
So - a while back, I asked B to "slow down" a bit on the walking stuff.... to try & make his owner (P) do the work himself. But, it became obvious, that B was missing her walks - so, I kind of gave in & said for her to carry on !! She didn't have to listen to me.... but, we're not the dogs owner & I didn't see why we should be responsible for looking after him !!
I think what was really getting to me.... P was relying on B to look after Murphy, on weekends - while he went off to different places..... that was a bit too much for me !! If you're going to own a dog - you have to take responsibility for the thing !!
When his Wife left him - we did agree to help with Murphy.... which was all w could do, while he was sorting out the next step - what he was going to do next. Well - that was over a year ago...... I think we've done our bit !! He has sorted out what he's doing..... so........
P is now talking about moving over to New Zealand... I think his Daughter lives out there. The first thing B said to me was "We're not having the dog" !! It's funny, but - I hadn't even considered that part of it, at all !! Oh well..... moving along.....
The family......
B, as mentioned, is out walking the dog.... ME is in bed - she is doing another night shift, so is trying to get some sleep in..... and J is still over in Wales, at Uni. That just leaves me, here, with the oldest of our 4 cats. I think he is hoping I'm going to give him some "cat treats" - but, he's out of luck.... well, for now, at least !!
This morning, I had another visit to the Dr's surgery - to have my dressing changed.... bummer !! Tho' - having said that - the lady I see, on Fridays, is really good.... and doesn't hurt me too much !! One of them, well.... she just rips the old stuff off.... which is kind of nasty !! Today's went pretty well tho'.... even if I did come back & go back to sleep, for a few hours !!
By the sound of things - B has returned from her walk..... yep.... it has just started to rain, so she has headed home, I'm glad to say !!
As for the music of the moment... well, it's a bit of a mixture. I was playing Pink Floyd's 'Winter Tour '74' bootleg..... which I found last night, in with a load of other stuff - including the music of the moment, which is Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours' album. Well - it's the "bonus" live Cd - which came with the 2013 re-release !! There are sooooo versions of this album out....... but, I wanted to here the live disc, so.......
Inside of the Cd "jacket sleeve" there is a fantastic picture of the band, on stage, in front of a massive stadium audience.... it's quite impressive !! 'Echoes' and some lost Cd's.. Ho-hum
Hi World's !!
I've had a series of e-mails this past week, from a friend who lives down in the wilds of Devon...... concerning some Cd's that I seemed to have sent him, some time in the past. No big deal about that - I'm often sending people old Cd's..... especially ones I no longer want !!
Anyways - it seems that my friend can no longer find the Cd's & is trying to remember what it was, actually on the things..... and, because of that, he has been asking for my help - to try & identify them !!
So - here I am.... having had not the best year...... and here is my friend, trying to task my brain & complete lack of memory, in order to work out what he is missing !! How the heck am I suppose to know what I sent him ?! I've sent out dozens of discs, over the last few years - I can't remember what I sent him... I really can't !!
As I e-mailed him a while ago.... it's a bit like the old Monty Python saying "My brain hurts" !! Oh well - he'll have to try and sort it out himself..... I can't really do anything, from this end of the Universe !! I suspect, deep down, he has given the Cd's to someone else - or worse still, sold them to someone else - and he's hoping I'll be able to replace them !! No way my friend........ time will tell, I guess !!
Right - enough of my moaning... well, for now at least !! The family !!
As I type, ME is in bed, trying to get a bit of sleep, ahead of a night shift, this evening. I've got the music down a snotch or two - in order to try & not wake her up..... hopefully !! Mind you - the NFH has still got the builders, next door & they are not exactly the quietest people on the planet !!
As for My Wife & Dearest Friend.. well, she has gone into town, to meet up with some friend, or another. I really don't remember who it is..... I had forgotten she was even going out....... until she reminded me !! Never mind - my life goes on.... even if I am "home alone" for want of a better word or two !!
To be fair - B did offer to stay home... as I've not been in the best of health, these past few days.... but, it seems a shame to cancel a meeting, especially as she was all ready to go !! I don't mind - I'm quite happy sat here.... typing these words !!
As for the 4th member of the family... our Son, J... well, he seems to be doing Ok - B spoke with him a couple of days ago & he is in good spirits - well, as far as I know !! It seems that life at Uni is agreeing with him.....
As for me... well, I did a bit of a tidy up, before writing these words. The kitchen needed a quick make over - just last nights dishes + I just had a little go around here, in our living room. Nothing too exciting - just a little move around & vacuum !! Oh well..... B will no doubt do some more to it, when she gets home later !!
I was thinking about doing some of the Cd's - just the few hundred that are behind me.... but, after a quick start, I decided to give up on that little plan & write these words instead !! Once again - I've not had the best of nights, sleep wise - so, sitting, listening to music & typing these words, seemed like a brilliant idea !!
As for the music of the moment - I'm listening to part of David Gilmour's 'Royal Albert Hall' concert, from May 2006 (I think)....... I'm playing the second half of the show.... mainly as I wasn't a great fan of his 'On An Island' Cd & that takes up the biggest part of Cd 1 !! Oh well..... at this very moment, 'Echoes' is just starting..... so, that will keep me going for 20 minutes or so !!
Hopefully, in the next few days - or weeks - I will have some more Gov't Mule live stuff... along with a solo set by Warren Haynes !! The latter is an acoustic show he did, a while back... so, I'm looking forward to giving that a play !! Plus - as I've no doubt mentioned many times before - the re-issue of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' Cd should reach me soon.... I really want to hear the first part of the live stuff, that is on Cd 2 !!
It was recorded in 1974 - nearly 40 years ago - shit.... I really am getting too old for this crap !! Nevermind - it's all good & despite having had the complete show, on bootleg, for many, many years now - it's always great to get the official versions of the stuff !!
As I always tell you guys - don't buy bootlegs... buy the official stuff instead !! Support the bands as much as you can..... I know they say "we don't do it for the money" kind of stuff, but - unless you buy the official Cd's....... well - they have to eat !! Ok - enough of my preaching....
On the wall, out to the front of our house, B has left one of my "yellow" waste bins. It's the sort of thing, that you see in the hospitals - I've used it, to get rid of my dressings & the such like. Anyhoo - it's outside... waiting for collection & the NFH + her builders are really fascinated by it !! They keep trying to open it & take a look inside - the little buggers !!
She'll be asking B why we're leaving "Medical Waste" outside..... oh well, if they haven't anything better to do, than look at my old waste dressings... it's a sad life !! Onwards - ever onwards...
Ok - my plans for today.... well, none at all really !! I was going to do these Cd's - but, as I said before - I can't be bothered !! They are not going anywhere & it's the sort of thing I can do, later, when B & I are here together.

Got to get it behind me... plus Pink Floyd
Hi World's !!
This is just like the old days - I'm using the little computer, the one I used when I was stuck in the hospital, to write these few words to you all !! The main reason - well, the only reason for doing this really - is that my computer is doing other things at the moment & - rather than wait an hour, for it to finish - I saw this one & decided to use
it !!
So - it's a Wednesday, here in England & the music of the moment is a version of Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side Of The Moon' - this one having been recorded at the Nassau Coliseum, in the USA. It's not too bad really.... an audience tape - but, very clear !!
As always - don't buy bootlegs.... buy the official stuff instead !! Which brings me to why I'm writing about music first - instead of my loving family !! Well - at some point, this week - Pink Floyd are releasing a fraction more of their November 1974 Wembley concert !!
A while back - the band released a live version of 'Dark Side Of The Moon' - as a "bonus" Cd, along with a re-mashed studio version of the same. That was quite a ways back...... anyhoo, they are now re-hashing the 'Wish You Were Here' album.... with a "bonus" disc... featuring this time, some of the first half of the set !!
I think tracks are: 'Raving & Drooling' - 'You Got To Be Crazy' and a part of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'... There are some other things on there, as well - but, as yet, I don't really know what !! I will tell you more about it, as & when it gets here....... hopefully by the start of next week !!
All we need now, is 'Echoes' and the complete set will have been released officially..... about bloody time !!
Ok - that's enough about music - well, for now.......

Well - once again.... I'm home alone !! ME has taken B shopping, so.... with J at Uni.... that means I'm on my own some !! Never mind - I'm sure I will survive...... playing music & making my plans for World peace etc etc !! Oh well..... I'm not sure when they will be home - but, what the heck..... my life will go on, no matter what !!
B took me down to the Dr's surgery, this morning..... it was time to get my dressings changed (again) - so, the nurse lady did it for me. I did ask, whether I could actually do away, with not wearing the dressing at all !! She didn't think that was a great idea !! Never mind - it would be nice to forget about the bloody things, all together !!
This coming Monday - as I've mentioned before - I have to go down to Exeter, to have my "pre-op" - which, I hope, will mean I can get the skin graft sorted out, sooner, rather than later !! Time will tell on that one - but.... I really need to get all of this behind me soon...... I am really getting fed up with the whole bloody thing !!
This whole bloody year has been a bummer..... so, the sooner I can get my back finished with, the better !! I need to move my life along & I can't do that, until my back is completely healed up & I no longer need to go to & fro the hospital every few weeks !! Once all of this is behind me.... well...... we'll see how things go !!
Oh well - I'm going to close off, for now. I've not been feeling too special, over the couple of days, so I'm going to head for bed & get a bit more sleep....... I need more sleep - it seems like a plan to me...

I didn't really chicken out....
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of this fine Universe treating you today ?! It's a very wet & windy day - here in the South-West of England... and I mean wet !! But - it comes & goes, in massive showers.... then goes away for a while - leaving rainbows & bright sunlight !! All very weird...
As I type - B is behind me, in the kitchen - attempting, with Archie's help, to do a bit of baking...... tho' I've just been told, he has gone walk-a-bout - so, we'll see him later I guess. He doesn't go very far - mind you.. he's only 5 or 6 months old, so he's not going to stray too far.... well, I hope not !!
To try & explain Archie is simple... he's totally mad !! He runs around like a complete idiot - then crashes out for a while. Sometimes, if he allows it... it's got to be on his terms..... I can pick him up & make a fuss of him, but - most times - he's happy just running around, finding new things to play with !!
I've just a couple of seconds "out" to open the door, for one of of other cats, Merry..... he's about 6 years old & is very, very laid back !! Oh well - enough about the cats - back to the family.....
B, as mentioned, is behind me..... ME has gone into town, to spend the night with her boyfriend, M..... It's carnival night & she enjoys going to see the procession. It helps that M's place... well, it's only a stone's throw the road - so, they get a great view !!
She did a night shift, last night - so... I hope... she will get a bit of sleep this afternoon, just to try & catch up a bit !! It helped that we were going into town, to do some shopping and we were able to drop her off !! It's crazy trying to park in town - mainly as sooooo many people visit the town, especially for the carnival !!
So - that's the family... except for our Son, J - who is still in Wales, at Uni..... I hope he's doing well - we miss him around the place !!
As I said - we went into town, to do a bit of shopping... just a few bits of foodstuff, nothing too exciting..... but, that's it really, as far as my going anywhere !! No massive trips - just a quick run around the supermarket !!
I did enjoy it tho'.... mainly as ME pushed my chair for me !! For those of you, new to my writing's (where have you been ?)... well, I have a wheelchair, for doing the long distances, such as going around town & everything. Anyhoo - my back is really hurting today and I'm struggling a bit - mainly around the wound area.... so, ME pushed my chair, to save me hurting myself anymore than I already have !!
Staying on that subject - my back.... I had a letter, today, from the hospital & I have to go there, for a pre-op, on Monday November 11th !! "Yippeeee !!" !! Ok - I know, it's only a pre-op appointment, but it does mean things are moving along & - hopefully - it won't be overly long, before I actually go in & have the surgery !!
For those of you, who have no clue about what I'm sooooo excited about.... I have a nasty wound on my back, which unfortunately needs a skin-graft, in order to close it off.... and that's what the pre-op is all about !! If all goes well, I might - just might - get it all finished up with by the new year & that would be fantastic !!
Last December, when I was in hospital - a guy asked me how long it would be, before I was all fixed up. I jokingly said "December 2013" - never really expecting to actually be still going thru' all of this, for so long !! It's just the way things have worked out - it's nobody's fault - shit happens & 2013 has been my turn !!
At least I have a date - so, things are definitely moving along & that's brilliant....... now, we just have to find the hospital (again) and sort everything out !! By "again"... well, when we lived in Devon, I was in the same hospital (in Exeter) for 2 weeks.... back in 1995. Long story - but, I was poorly & as that was the nearest hospital, to where we lived, at the time.... that's where I landed up. Now - 18 years later, I'm going back there.... should be fun !! I don't actually remember much about the place.... so...... time will tell !!
Moving onto music...
As I've been typing, I've been listening to a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young concert, from September 14th 1974. It's from a concert they did, at the old Wembley Stadium. It's not the greatest of things, sound wise - but, at over 3 hours in length.... well, it's worth a
listen !! It's actually on 'YouTube'... so... you can actually log in & watch the thing. The tracks are:

I remember when this concert happened - I didn't go.... mainly (I think) because I had been up to see the Allman's a couple of months earlier & - also - I wasn't too keen on driving to the old stadium !! This was pre "Sat Navs" & - to be honest.... I didn't know how to get to the place !! Oh well.....
As always, don't buy bootlegs..... this is on the web, so you can watch it - but, don't pay for boots.... give the bands some support & buy the official stuff !!
And - talking of buying official stuff.... in the post yesterday, the Korpiklaani Cd arrived !! I think I probably mentioned I was waiting for it..... anyhow, it's here now & hopefully I'll give it a good listen, over the coming days. It's a 2 Cd set & looks brilliant - in a sort of metallic sheen case... very smooth looking !! I'll let you know more about it, just as soon as I get to play it thru' !!
Ok - so, what else is new....... well, I was suppose to have a flu jab, this morning - but, I kind of chickened out !! To explain.....
I was all set to have the jab - I was actually in the surgery, with B - sat there ready to go in & get it done. But - I decided against it.... manly as, everytime I have the jab - I come down with a nasty bug of some sort or another !!
So - as the letter, about going to the hospital, came this morning & I certainly do not want to be poorly, when I'm suppose to visit the pre-op..... just incase it delays the surgery.... well, I decided to give it a miss !! I didn't really "chicken out" - I just decided to avoid it this time around !! Oh well....
Right - I better be on my ways... it's getting a bit late now & I've a few things to do. I promised B that I would clean up the dishes, after she was doing all those lovely cakes.... ho-hum !!

How is your bit of this fine Universe treating you today ?! It's a very wet & windy day - here in the South-West of England... and I mean wet !! But - it comes & goes, in massive showers.... then goes away for a while - leaving rainbows & bright sunlight !! All very weird...
As I type - B is behind me, in the kitchen - attempting, with Archie's help, to do a bit of baking...... tho' I've just been told, he has gone walk-a-bout - so, we'll see him later I guess. He doesn't go very far - mind you.. he's only 5 or 6 months old, so he's not going to stray too far.... well, I hope not !!
To try & explain Archie is simple... he's totally mad !! He runs around like a complete idiot - then crashes out for a while. Sometimes, if he allows it... it's got to be on his terms..... I can pick him up & make a fuss of him, but - most times - he's happy just running around, finding new things to play with !!
I've just a couple of seconds "out" to open the door, for one of of other cats, Merry..... he's about 6 years old & is very, very laid back !! Oh well - enough about the cats - back to the family.....
B, as mentioned, is behind me..... ME has gone into town, to spend the night with her boyfriend, M..... It's carnival night & she enjoys going to see the procession. It helps that M's place... well, it's only a stone's throw the road - so, they get a great view !!
She did a night shift, last night - so... I hope... she will get a bit of sleep this afternoon, just to try & catch up a bit !! It helped that we were going into town, to do some shopping and we were able to drop her off !! It's crazy trying to park in town - mainly as sooooo many people visit the town, especially for the carnival !!
So - that's the family... except for our Son, J - who is still in Wales, at Uni..... I hope he's doing well - we miss him around the place !!
