Greetings from a very, very wet England !!
Last week (I think) we were classed as being in a drought, here in our part of the World...... today, we have floods all over the area !! How mad is that !!
B took me down to the village a short while ago & the village stream is bursting it's bank & flooding the
road !! I had to go down for a haircut, or else I would of stayed in the warm !!
We have a little stream, which runs thru' the village - it's nothing special, but... today it's way over it's usual limits. Mind you - I think it's been raining solid since Saturday... so, all the water from the hills (behind us) is flowing our way !!
By rain, I mean, it has been hammering down for hour after hour..... our garden is like a paddy field, it really is. the ground has been so dry - the water is just running off the top !! Oh well......
Because of the storms - which is the only way I can describe yesterday's deluge - we stayed home from Church yesterday. There was no way I was going out in that - it was just too much !! So - we stayed home & made the best of it here. I was worried about B driving in the weather, plus I didn't feel like I wanted to risk getting wet thru' & catching some kind of bug !! Maybe next week......
Talking of B... she has gone into town. She dropped me off here, at home, and then headed into the town, to pay some bills, do some shopping, visit the gym & meet her cousin. I think she could of done with-out the latter bit... but !!
They meet up from time to time..... B gets a little fed up with it all tho'. The cousin & her husband have been
going thru' a rough patch for several years now - maybe one or two - and when B meets up with her... well, that's all she hears about !! Never mind..... life goes on & on I guess !!
As for the rest of the family.... J is upstairs, keeping an eye on me & making sure I'm "Ok"... as for ME - she is on Uni placement today. M (her boyfriend) came over last night & that cheered her up a bit. She has put so much work in over the last months - doing her Uni work & everything - now it's mostly all over, well..... I think she needs to have a break. It's been a hectic year for her - University, work & now a new job & new car...... it's taken a toll on her !!
So - that's the family..... the music of the moment is Black Sabbath's 2 Cd 'Best Of' set. I've put it on shuffle & so it's playing all out of order.... it's a shame they haven't got more of their later stuff on it !! It's pretty good tho'....
I have another Zeppelin concert... I'm sorry it's another 1977 show... but, at the moment, it's all I've got from this time of the year. So, on April 30th 1977, the band played the 'Pontiac Silverdome' in Pontiac, Michigan USA. At the time, this show broke the record for any single group, as far as an audience was concerned. With 76,229 people showing up - with at least one person bringing a tape recorder with them. I have it on 3 Cd's & it's the usual set list for the '77 tour.

I understand there is a 'new' Zeppelin recording coming out soon.... another soundboard recording from the 1975 concerts in Vancouver. I hope to have a copy soon & will let you know how good or bad it is !!
My plans for today are pretty simple really...... stay in the house & keep warm and dry !! There is no way I'm going back out side today - going down to the village was bad enough !! I am not going anywhere else - not unless I have to, for some reason unknown !! It's warm in here & that's good enough for me !!
I think it's going to be a quiet week really. I know I have to see one of my Consultants on Thursday, so that's Ok - she is pretty good & I get on well with her !! Apart from that - there is little else happening. I hope also (if B will take me) there is a record fair in Exeter, on Saturday... so, maybe I will try & get to that. If nothing else, I can meet up with a few old friends & have a 'natter' with them. We didn't go to the last fair, as it was ME's 21st birthday & we stayed home for that. hopefully, it won't be raining soooo hard next weekend !! I'm not going down, if it's wet & horrid !!

Greetings !!
Hi & Hello Worlds....
I hope you are all doing well today ?! It's a Saturday, here in old England...... and for want of a better word (or words) - I will can today 'Destroyer Day' !!
It's been a quiet & surprising day today !! Being Saturday - we slept in for a while.... tho' some one (we don't know who) telephoned just after 8am, so.... that woke us a little too early for my liking !! Anyhoo - as I type, B is here doing some house work, J is upstairs - having helped me take all the bed sheets off. As for ME, well - she will be home in a short while, having spent the night at M's (her boyfriends)..... We have sent a text, to "warn" her...
As I mentioned - it's been a surprising day. A little while ago, the NFH knocked on our door & asked permission to come onto our little driveway !! Shock, horror & disbelief !! They are cutting down a big hedge, that marks our border, but is on their side, on their land. She wanted permission, to stand on our drive - and remove stuff........ that must of taken a lot of "humble pie" !!
For the last year, all we've had from her is abuse & 4 letter words !! To actually, walk up our path & ask - well, I'm very surprised !! B answered the door and said "yes" - on condition they cleared everything away & didn't leave any rubbish behind....... I think that's fair !!
So - that's part 1 of the 'Destroyer Day'. They are destroying a really nice hedge - to put a fence, never mind.
Part 2 of 'Destroyer Day' is my writing about 2 shows, that Led Zeppelin did in Cleveland, America - on April 27th & April 28th 1977.... both of which came out on bootlegs called 'Destroyer'. Possibly 2 of the most famous bootlegs, amongst many others, that came out back in the 1970's & 1980's.
The tracks from both shows are more or less the same - it just depends which Cd's you listen to:

I've had these shows, more or less since they first appeared on Lp's, all those years ago. I first had a 4 Lp set, from the 28th & that - to me - is the 'Destroyer' set !! It was, despite what others say - the first one to hit the streets. The show from the 27th, is probably more popular - as, it came out on a soundboard tape... the second show is an audience recording. The 27th show has come out as a 3 Lp set, a 2Cd set & also a 3 Cd set......... I've only ever had the 28th show on 3 Cd's, apart from the original 4 Lp set..
Like the Dallas show, from March 4th 1975, it has been put out over & over...... so, it's quite easy to find, if you get chance to hear it !! I'm not sure how many different copies I've got of these shows - but, they are all good !! I'm lucky enough to have been given a spool tape of this show, and that is brilliant !! I won't tell who I got it from, but it was gift from a very well known guitarist.... that copy is well good & the most complete copy of the 27th show I've ever heard !!
I keep getting asked "Where can I get" such & such bootleg.... well, just look & you will find !! Whatever you do, don't buy bootlegs... buy the official stuff !! There is plenty of live stuff out, by various bands - buy their official stuff...... !! More another time.....
The music of the moment is - or are - the first 4 Procol Harum albums. They have come out on 2 Cd's & I've put them in the machine on shuffle. One of my favourite tracks (by them) 'A Salty Dog' is playing as I type.... a great song !! Onwards, ever onwards !!
We're not going very far today.... we went shopping, in town, yesterday & basically got all we needed at that time. I know we missed a few things, but they can wait until Monday now !! I can't be fussed to go back out again, today - I struggled enough yesterday !! I hate crowds & being the last weekend of the month (pay day for lots of people) the shops were very hectic !! Maybe B will pop out later, I don't really know - but, I'm staying here in the house !!
I hope we will be able to head to Church, in the morning. Health wise - I've had 2 good nights sleep, so if things stay like this, we will able to go. I'm looking forward to it, but - if I can't make it..... well, we'll see.
We had a visitor, yesterday, from the lady who lives across the road. I think she wanted to know why the police lady had been here the other night !! It's Ok - she is a very nice lady & was the first person to speak to me, when we got here, back in 1998 !!
As she is a little slow in walking - she needs help to go too far - B walked back across the road with her, when she left. She told B, she didn't realise how ill I actually am....... but, not to worry, I know they will be there for B - that makes me feel better in myself !!
Ok - the plans for today... I don't have any !! So, I will away & find something to do !! My thanks to all my readers, especially my Russian reader who has logged on today.... until next time...

Life Is Good !!
Well "Hello" Worlds - How you are doing this fine morning ?!
I've just come back from my Dr's (here in the village) and all seems to be going "Ok" !! Things will never be perfect, but - for now, things are going in the right direction !! I'm even coming off some more of my pills & potions !! Not much - but, it all helps !!
I'm here typing this on my own - at the moment.... B has just gone out to go 'home teaching' with a lady from Church, ME is at Uni placement & - as yet - I don't think J is out of bed !! Mind you - the Cd player has just been turned on, so that should wake him up a bit !!
The music of the moment is another 'live' Zeppelin concert.... which I will write about either tomorrow, or the day after..... I'll see how things goes !! Onwards......
The 'big' news of the day.... is (drum roll) we are in the right, as far as the NFH is concerned !! I will explain..
Last night, our local police lady came around & we talked about what has been happening here - in particular, how we felt we were being treated by the NFH. Luckily, we were all here - so, each of us were able to tell her, from our own prospective, what it's been like. The police lady was not a happy bunny !!
When she heard about Sunday & how our friend had been threatened/treated/shouted at - well.... she was even more amazed !! We showed her where we park the two cars - and as expected, we are within the law, to park them there.... no matter what our neighbour thinks !! So - that was good.... plus, we have a little no parking sign & we can put that up, to kind of ask people not to block the entrance area !!
As I said to her - we can't enforce where people park, but by putting up the sign, we have shown that we don't want them blocking the area. We've done our bit, to stop people blocking her entrance - beyond that, we can do no more !! She thought that was a good idea.....
She also gave us her personal card - so that if the NFH does start threatening or shouting at us, or people who are here to visit us, we can call her number & she will get some one out here to deal with the problem !!
One thing ME was happy about - if the NFH has a go at her & she feels threatened by her, we can call the police emergency number 999 and get immediate help !! That's a big help to ME - being only 4 feet 11 inches tall (or there about) the NFH is very intimidating to her - so, it's great to know we have 'back up' !!
It's crazy really - the lady thinks she owns the place.... we know she doesn't !! It's our "World" not her own private domain !! She has to accept that we live in the Close as well !!
When we came back from the Dr's just now - our other neighbour was just getting into his car... as we parked, he smiled and said "back a bit".... knowing full well what we have had to put up with !! Onwards !!
J has made an appearance - I knew the music would wake him up !!
ME is getting a little fed up with some of her Uni 'friends'....... they keep asking her the answers to various questions - I'm guessing to do with their own work. They know that she (ME) has finished and handed in all her papers now & they keep pestering her, for help, to finish their own work !! She is getting a little mad about it all. As ME says, she had to work it all out for herself, they must do the same !!
Mind you - now she has done all of work.... she is wondering what to do with herself in the evenings !! She has worked long & hard, to finish all of her assignments... now, with no more to do - she has the evenings spare !! Good for her, I say.... she has done really well !! I think M (her boyfriend) is coming over tonight - so, that will cheer her up a bit !!
I was looking for another Led Zeppelin concert, for today.... the only one I found easily, is another Winterland, San Francisco, 1969 show.... so, that's the one for today. The tracks are:

In a way, this is 2 concerts, on one night..... it's just 2 sets they did - with a break in the middle. It is a good show tho' !! As always, don't buy bootlegs !! More another day...
One big bit of good news.... we heard yesterday, from Lady V, that the tea bags had reached Atlanta !! We were really getting worried about them - if they had got lost in the post, or had attracted too much notice with the customs officials. After all, sending a couple hundred tea bags in the post - well, it must of looked interesting if they X-rayed the parcel !! Never mind - they got there & that's the main thing.
So - sit back Lady V - have a rest, put your feet up and have a brew !! We hope J & your good self got the photo's & the Cd........ they were in there some place !!
My plans for today... well, there is a TV programme on I want to record, I still have a book to try & read thru'.... but, all in all - it's going to be a quiet day in the homestead !! Not only quiet, but also a little more relaxed - especially now we know the NFH is completely out of order !! Life is good... until next time...

Lynyrd Skynyrd
Hello Everybody - How has your morning been ?!
It's another wet & windy day here in England..... not very nice at all really !! I'm staying in the house today, so.. the weather can go & do what it wants really !!
As I type, B is across the road - with the neighbour I mentioned a few times before. She came into our home, for the first time, a few weeks back - since then, B has been going there. It's nice to have a new 'friend' !!
At some point, this afternoon/evening, the police are coming over !! Mainly to discuss the problems we're having with the NFH !! That should be fun - if nothing else, we can find out for certain, if we are right or wrong - as far as the parking goes, that is !!
It's a lady police person, who is coming to see us. Speaking to her on the telephone (last night)... well, she suggested we sat down (with our NFH) and try & sort something out !! I can see where she is coming from, but - for me at least - it's gone beyond all that !!
Having a shout at me is one thing, having a shout (at 8.30am) at B is out of order.... add to that, having a go at ME & her boyfriend - well, that is completely out of order !! But, having a shout at our friend on Sunday - well, as far as I'm concerned - she has lost the plot a bit !! C (our friend) didn't deserve that - all he did was come & check up on me, to see how I was getting along.... he didn't deserve her mouth & posturing !! As I say, she has lost the plot !! We will see what the police lady has to say !!
All I really need to know, is about the parking situation. We have it in writing, from the highways department, that we are right - but, I need to hear it from the police.... just to confirm it all !!
I also have a plastic 'No Parking' sign, which if it's allowed, I can put up to try & stop people blocking her driveway, when they visit us. I know I can't put it on our outside wall, as it's a public road - but, I should be able to put it on a post, in our driveway - just to "ask" people not to block the entrance to her house. Mind you - it's never stopped her 'friends' blocking our little entrance - so, why I'm bothering is beyond me !
I'll see what the lady says & 'report' back to you, my readers... when I get chance. Onwards.....

B's popular today !! Not only has she gone across the road, to visit - but, she has just had a phone call, from a lady in Church.... B is to phone her back, when she gets back ....... such a hectic 'social life' Ho-hum.

It was a 2 hour tape & all 3 of the albums fitted onto it....... I used to play it in my first (or second) car. It came to my mind, mainly as, for some reason, the tape went missing from my car & I never found it again !!
Ok - I had the 3 Lp's... but I couldn't play them in the car... so, the tape was the next best thing !! I always thought, one of the German lads (who I was working with at the time) had it... but, it was only a tape & not worth worrying about !! I don't think I ever made another copy of the thing....... ah, for the days of tapes - 8 track & cassettes !! "Those were the days".......
I must get them onto the thing we have now, so we can blast them in this car - I don't think B will mind too much.... we will see !! It's got a beat, and you can dance to it... after all !! Now, where have I heard that before ?!
Right, I must away....... I've no big plans to do anything... but, I must away anyhoo !! I will be back another time... until then....

It's another wet & windy day here in England..... not very nice at all really !! I'm staying in the house today, so.. the weather can go & do what it wants really !!
As I type, B is across the road - with the neighbour I mentioned a few times before. She came into our home, for the first time, a few weeks back - since then, B has been going there. It's nice to have a new 'friend' !!
At some point, this afternoon/evening, the police are coming over !! Mainly to discuss the problems we're having with the NFH !! That should be fun - if nothing else, we can find out for certain, if we are right or wrong - as far as the parking goes, that is !!
It's a lady police person, who is coming to see us. Speaking to her on the telephone (last night)... well, she suggested we sat down (with our NFH) and try & sort something out !! I can see where she is coming from, but - for me at least - it's gone beyond all that !!
Having a shout at me is one thing, having a shout (at 8.30am) at B is out of order.... add to that, having a go at ME & her boyfriend - well, that is completely out of order !! But, having a shout at our friend on Sunday - well, as far as I'm concerned - she has lost the plot a bit !! C (our friend) didn't deserve that - all he did was come & check up on me, to see how I was getting along.... he didn't deserve her mouth & posturing !! As I say, she has lost the plot !! We will see what the police lady has to say !!
All I really need to know, is about the parking situation. We have it in writing, from the highways department, that we are right - but, I need to hear it from the police.... just to confirm it all !!
I also have a plastic 'No Parking' sign, which if it's allowed, I can put up to try & stop people blocking her driveway, when they visit us. I know I can't put it on our outside wall, as it's a public road - but, I should be able to put it on a post, in our driveway - just to "ask" people not to block the entrance to her house. Mind you - it's never stopped her 'friends' blocking our little entrance - so, why I'm bothering is beyond me !
I'll see what the lady says & 'report' back to you, my readers... when I get chance. Onwards.....

The music of the moment is the first 3 Lynyrd Skynyrd albums. I've put them all in one of the Cd decks & set the thing to shuffle.... it's a good listen, while I'm typing !! It's quite funny - if it's a fast 'tune' - I type faster !! I make more mistakes - but..... !!

B's popular today !! Not only has she gone across the road, to visit - but, she has just had a phone call, from a lady in Church.... B is to phone her back, when she gets back ....... such a hectic 'social life' Ho-hum.
I was thinking about something - as the music played. I know, it's dangerous, me thinking and what have you !! But, I remember having a cassette of these 3 Skynyrd albums. The day has lacked a little something.....
Greetings Worlds !!
How are you doing this fine day ?! It's been quite dry, here in England - it has been raining off & on... but, it's been far better than yesterday. But, the day has lacked a little something.....
....... something like excitement !! After all the fun and games, yesterday, with the neighbour - today has been some what of a let down really !! Oh well - never mind !!
All of the family were out today - leaving me here for a lot of the day, on my own. Never mind - the guys are here with me at the moment, tho' B has gone to a weight-watchers meeting. She'll be home a little later on !!
As it is - I've been playing music most of the day.... trying to sort out some of the Lp's I'm recording for the friends at Church. I am really all behind with them at the moment - I'm trying to remember what I've done & what is left to do !! I have 4 Cd's with classical music on them - from the Lp's - but, trying to remember which Lp's.... well, that's another story !! It'll all work out !!
I found another Zeppelin concert & - guess what - it's not from 1977 !! It's a single Cd from the Fillmore West, San Francisco in 1969. The tracks are:
1) As Long As I have You
2) Fresh Garbage
3) Cat's Squirrel
4) Killing Floor
5) White Summer - Black Mountain Side
6) Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You
7) Pat's Delight
This Cd is one of the earliest bootleg Cd's I ever had...... I've had the thing for years !! As always, don't buy bootlegs - get the official stuff instead !!
There is no music on at the moment, it's 'Pointless' time on TV !! - but, when that finishes, I'll get back to listening to the Cd's. I might be able to sort out which Lp's they are from !! That won't be for at least 30 minutes tho'..... ho-hum !!
As it's been a quiet day - I've very little to write about..... a short conversation, with our elderly neighbour, hardly counts as Earth shattering - but, maybe a quiet day, is what was needed after yesterday !! I'm still waiting for the police to get here - surely they will come out & put the World to rights.... maybe even telling our NFH that she is way out of line & what have you !! Oh well - life will go on & on & on !!
My plan - for tonight - is just to kick back & rest up !! I have to see my Dr. again on Thursday morning, so, the last thing I want him to say to me is "you look tired" or something along those lines !! I need my beauty sleep !! So - until next time....

The NFH & The Exciting Weekend !!
Greetings Worlds Of Internet Space !!
I really hope it's dry where ever you are today - it's very wet & cold here in England !! I've just had to go out side to help B - the car wouldn't start.... mainly as it hasn't been started for a few days & the damp has got in under the engine. It's all good now - she is on her ways !!
Today - April 23rd - is Saint George's & 'Independence Day'. If you check my previous years post, for this day, you will see - in the main - I do not write too much. I 'celebrate' Independence Day' very quietly.... not this year tho' !! It's been such an exciting weekend - I couldn't resist writing about it !!
In a nutshell, our "neighbour from hell" (NFH) seems to have lost the plot completely !! Yesterday - she "took on" our friend C - who happens to be over 6 feet tall - about how he was parked.... with a hedge cutter (thing) in her hand. I can only guess it was meant to be used in/as a threat. C is not easily intimidated & just stood his ground !! Good for him, I say !!
Earlier in the day - for whatever reason, best known only to her - she was out in the street, taking photograph's of our cars !! Why, I have no idea..... I'm guessing it has something to do with how ME is parking her car, behind us.
I have a large 'disabled' parking bay & ME puts her car at the back end of that.... mainly as it won't fit up our little drive. Her old car used to, but the new one is simply too big to fit !! So, we think, the NFH took photo's to send off to somebody, in some form of complaint..... we really don't know !!
What we do know, however, is that according to the current laws of the land - ME is within her rights to park there & the NFH is completely out of order !! We have had an e-mail from one of our friends, who is B's cousin' and works in the Highways Dept, this morning. Officially, we are well within our rights to park as we are - so the NFH can go & take as many photo's as she likes !! Ho-hum........
As this has "upset" me a bit - I've been in contact with our local police people & have asked them to come out & pay a visit....... that way, I hope, we can confirm what we're doing is 'right' and let things go at that.
To be honest - if ME had gone out & had been approached by the NFH, with a hedge cutter - I would have called 999 and got the police out here right away...... They is no way my 4 feet 11 inch Daughter is going to be 'threatened' like that !! As I wrote above - C is way over 6 feet & just took it as a big load of b*lls**t - he does not "suffer fools gladly" !!
Oh well - it's all been a little bit of excitement.... I will now wait for the police to come out (I've told them it's not urgent) at some point & we will see how things go, from there !! Time will tell, I guess... onwards !!
Right - it's a Monday... it pouring with rain, J is upstairs, ME is on Uni placement and B - as mentioned - has gone out. She is going into the bank, then on to the shops for a top up of foodstuffs, followed by a quick trip into the gym. I'm guessing she will be home about 3pm or so - it depends on how things go, I guess. never mind - I'll see her when she gets back later !!
The weekend wasn't so good for me..... I wasn't very well on Thursday night & that followed thru' until Saturday. I did go into ASDA with B, on Saturday... but I did struggle a bit with the number of people that were there. Anyhoo - it all went reasonably well & we decided on Saturday evening to try & go to Church Sunday.
That went out the window, however, when C showed up just as we were getting ready to go out. We didn't feel we could just walk out on him, he only visits every couple of months now... so - we decided we would stay home and 'entertain' for the day. With the NFH, it certainly was that - entertaining !!
B has just phoned, the car has made it into town, with no problems... so, I'm guessing it really was just cold & damp. I've suggested, if it plays up any more (on the way home) she should pop in the garage & get some new plugs put in. She'll see how it goes I guess !!

A friend is coming down to help her go thru' stuff - but, that won't help if things can't be found !! As always, don't buy bootlegs - buy & enjoy the official stuff !!
The Allman Brothers played the Fair Oak 'Wanee' festival (I'm not exactly sure what it's called) over the weekend.... as I have all the shows that they have played there over the last few years, I will be sticking an order in for those !! If you are reading these words Lady V - we hope the days were not too long & the music was good !! Onwards.......
As it's wet outside - our 3 cats are leaving 'muddy' paw prints all over the place !! It's the little girl, who seems to be the main culprit !! She is now on our bed (on a cat cover) purring her head off !! But, between the front door & the bed, there is a trail of prints !! I don't think I need to DNA them - she is guilty & she knows it !! Oh well - it could be worse - we might have 4 cats, instead of the 3 !!
I'm still not 100% happy with the way Google has done this 'new' Blogger page !! It's Ok - just sooooo much more complicated than the old one. Well, to me it is - but, what do I know - I'm just an old idiot, who gets confused over switching the computer on !!
I know my posts are being published & I thank my Russian reader for logging on today !! "Hello" to you, I thank you for your time !! I think I would of understood the changes better, had I known they were going to happen..... are you listening Google ?! Never mind - onwards, ever onwards !!
Anyhoo - the plans for today are quite simple.... stay in the house, listen to Cd's & try & read a book. I know, "that means reading" - but.... I don't think there is very much on the TV today - no films or anything, so...... it's the best of a bad lot really !!

Google - Why Change Things !!
Well Hello Worlds !!
For some reason - best known to them & only them - Google have messed around with the blog page !! This is not good !! Should someone from Google read these words of mine - please change it back !!
Anyhoo - it's a Friday here in England and it's been a funny sort of day really. Bright sunshine, followed by rain. B took me into town earlier & it wasn't a very nice experience - too many people & not enough manners between them !!
Talking of B - she has gone down to the Dr's to pick up some of my med's & from there she is heading towards the gym, for her Friday class....... I'm not sure what time she will be back, but the guys are here to look after me, if I need help... so.....
ME is sat on the couch, watching her computer ( plus the TV ) & J is behind me in the kitchen, doing the supper dishes.... He seems to do them most nights - but, he is here most of the day, where as ME is out at Uni placement or working.... so....
The music of the moment is Within Temptation's 'The Unforgiving' Cd which came out last year...... I was looking for something to blast thru' the speakers & this fitted the bill quite nicely !! I play their older stuff a lot... I must play this more - Sharon den Adel's vocals are way good !! It's hard to believe it's nearly 5 years since we saw them live !! It would be good to see them again - but, that's no going to happen !!
I found another Zeppelin concert.... so, if you want - you can skip the next bit !! It's another Cincinnati concert, from April 20th 1977.... the second night they played there, the tracks are:

Between you & your friends, music will come your way......... as well as lasting friendships !! More another time...... just don't buy bootlegs !!
I've mentioned the neighbour from hell (more than once) on these pages of mine... Well, ME's new car will not fit up our little driveway - so, she has no choice but to park it outside, on the road. Today, B parked our car in front of ME's.... which closed the amount of space there is for everybody else to use. Don't get me wrong - there is still lots of room.... just not so much.
So, with that in mind - we have been expecting a bang at the door "demanding" we move the car.... but, so far, it hasn't happened !! The 'NFH' managed to get her car out... so, if she can do it once, she can do it again !! We are parking with-in the confines that the police set (on their last visit) and that's all we can do really. It might sound like we're being mean - but.... we pay our road tax & have every right to park outside of our home !! We will see what happens tomorrow - I'm still expecting a bang at the door !! "Ho-hum "
ME has to be at work for 7.30am in the morning - so, she will be away bright & early !! Bless her... she really does do a lot of hours !! It's better for her tho' - since she finished her work at Uni !! She still has 9 or 10 weeks to go, on this placement - but she will finish on July 6th and the years will be behind her !!
Right, the music has changes - it's now a Zeppelin Cd blasting away..... which I will write about at a later date (October). It's pretty good tho' !!
Last night was not a very good one for me - sooner or later I will have to go back to my Dr and get it sorted out. Trying to sleep is now getting beyond a joke - even full of pills & potions...... The downside is, I'm tired out all of today !! Never mind - B & the kids look after me & with their love & God's help....

ME is sat on the couch, watching her computer ( plus the TV ) & J is behind me in the kitchen, doing the supper dishes.... He seems to do them most nights - but, he is here most of the day, where as ME is out at Uni placement or working.... so....
The music of the moment is Within Temptation's 'The Unforgiving' Cd which came out last year...... I was looking for something to blast thru' the speakers & this fitted the bill quite nicely !! I play their older stuff a lot... I must play this more - Sharon den Adel's vocals are way good !! It's hard to believe it's nearly 5 years since we saw them live !! It would be good to see them again - but, that's no going to happen !!
I found another Zeppelin concert.... so, if you want - you can skip the next bit !! It's another Cincinnati concert, from April 20th 1977.... the second night they played there, the tracks are:

Between you & your friends, music will come your way......... as well as lasting friendships !! More another time...... just don't buy bootlegs !!
I've mentioned the neighbour from hell (more than once) on these pages of mine... Well, ME's new car will not fit up our little driveway - so, she has no choice but to park it outside, on the road. Today, B parked our car in front of ME's.... which closed the amount of space there is for everybody else to use. Don't get me wrong - there is still lots of room.... just not so much.
So, with that in mind - we have been expecting a bang at the door "demanding" we move the car.... but, so far, it hasn't happened !! The 'NFH' managed to get her car out... so, if she can do it once, she can do it again !! We are parking with-in the confines that the police set (on their last visit) and that's all we can do really. It might sound like we're being mean - but.... we pay our road tax & have every right to park outside of our home !! We will see what happens tomorrow - I'm still expecting a bang at the door !! "Ho-hum "
ME has to be at work for 7.30am in the morning - so, she will be away bright & early !! Bless her... she really does do a lot of hours !! It's better for her tho' - since she finished her work at Uni !! She still has 9 or 10 weeks to go, on this placement - but she will finish on July 6th and the years will be behind her !!
Right, the music has changes - it's now a Zeppelin Cd blasting away..... which I will write about at a later date (October). It's pretty good tho' !!
Last night was not a very good one for me - sooner or later I will have to go back to my Dr and get it sorted out. Trying to sleep is now getting beyond a joke - even full of pills & potions...... The downside is, I'm tired out all of today !! Never mind - B & the kids look after me & with their love & God's help....
I'll keep going !!

Bruce Springsteen, Deep Purple & Eric Clapton......
Hi Worlds - How are you all doing tonight ?!
It's another (very) wet day here in England.... thunder & everything !! It's very weird really - the Government says we are in a "drought area" & yet today the water has been running off of the fields & down the storm drains !! I guess it depends how you (they) define a drought !! Oh well......
I'm down here alone again tonight.... J is upstairs, if I need help - but, the ladies of the house have both gone to the gym. I could get a complex here if I wasn't already poorly !! Never mind - as long as they are happy, that's the main thing !!
It does mean however, I get to play whatever I want on the Cd front.... and loud at that !! The music of the moment is the Allman's 'Atlanta International Festival' 2 Cd set..... which leads on to another thought. The music on these Cd's represents the first tracks I ever heard by the band !!
I had a 3 Lp set - way back in 1971 - which had 'Statesboro' Blues' & a very edited version of 'Whipping Post' on Lp1........ the 2nd & 3rd Lps were from the 1970 Isle Of Wight festival. Anyhoo - many years (40) I'm still playing the same stuff over.... just a little bit better quality, on the sound... nothing else !! Oh well - I mention this, only in passing really..... because.....

We had 3 Cd's and no player to listen to them on !! So, as a little wedding present, I bought B a Cd player & we've not stopped since !! That was when Cd players cost an arm & a leg... not only that - they did nothing else, but play Cd's - nothing elaborate, just a basic player !! They & we have certainly moved on since then !! I'm not sure how many Cd players we've had since then - but, it's one heck of a lot & that's for sure !!
B was out at a neighbours for a couple of hours earlier and the Zeppelin was blasting away !! It was the same concert I had trouble with the other night - I just wanted to make sure I had a good copy !! I also found another concert - so, from April 19th 1977, I have the following tracks from Cincinnati, America. It's only the first part of the concert:

It's the same story, really - plane takes off, plane disappears & everybody has a story as to why !! I'm only on the first couple of chapters, so.... it'll take a while to get thru' it - but, I'm guessing it'll all be guess work, as to what really happened !!
I might have started a trend at the library....... the first Earhart book I have is on reserve now... that means, after years being stuck on the shelves in the reserve store, someone (other than my good self) wants to read it. It is coming up to the 75th anniversary of her disappearance, so maybe there is a little bit of interest in the subject ?! Oh well..... "The means reading" - as the in-house joke goes !! Never mind......
I see my American & Russian readers have logged in (again) today.... "Greetings" to you all !! I hope you are all well & I thank you for your time....... there is something you must check out !!
Go on "YouTube" and type in something like "prom night footloose" or words to that effect. You should find a bunch of students outside, waiting for their prom to start. One by one, they go into a 'Footloose' dance routine !! It's really worth a look - I think so any ways !! It's all good fun, at least !!
Earlier today, we went into town. We had to pay some bills & J had a visit to the dentist.... well, he did have. When he actually got there, the thing was cancelled !! I knew he wasn't looking forward to going - but, to find that it was cancelled, when he got there... well, that was a bit of a bummer !! He has a new time in May - so - hopefully that will come together for him.
Our bills got paid & we did a little bit of shopping.... so, we were Ok.... it all cost money tho' - I'm just glad we took J into town... if he had caught the bus, it would of taken him an hour to get there, all for nothing !!
Right - my plans for tonight, when I stop typing that is... well, I'm heading for my bed. It is a little early, but I'm bushed !! The trip out this morning was a little too much for me..... it's all good tho' !! Until next time - I thank you for reading !!

£1,000 on electricity !! It's not all my fault !!
Greetings Worlds Of Internet Space !!
It's a dreary wet & windy evening here in England - it's been pouring with rain nearly all day !! Never mind - I'm in the house & keeping dry so, I ain't complaining too much !!
I spent quite a bit of the day sorting out DVD's - putting them into some kind of order... they were really messed up !! Now, they are in an A-Z type of thing.... as best I can figure at least !! I had 4 or 5 boxes here & put them into those.... not the pre-recorded stuff - just odds & ends we've taken off the TV over the last few years. If I had to sort all of the discs out, I would be doing it for months on end !! As it was, I found loads of stuff I had forgotten about - forgotten we had recorded & what have you...... I'm not sure we'll ever watch some of it ever again - but, it's there "for the looking" !!
Right - as I type... the ladies of the house have gone out. B has gone to a gym class & she is going to drop ME off at her boyfriends house on the way..... I'm guessing she will pick her up on the way home. M (the boyfriend) is still having car problems, so ME has gone to see him...... tho' - there is a live football match on tonight, so I'm not 100% sure he will want the company !!
So - with the ladies out, that leaves J & I here alone with the cats.... who hate the wet even more than I do !! J is upstairs... having eaten supper & done the dishes... so, I'm here in the living room on my own !! Never mind - the music is nice & loud, so that's not so bad !!
As I type, I'm playing Gov't Mule's 'The Deep End' Cd's...... I'm only on Vol. 1 at the moment... but, the night is young !! I like the 'Mule's' live stuff and have to remind myself from time to time, that I have some studio albums as well !! Oh well - I'm enjoying it & I highly recommend any of their stuff, so check them out !! Even B likes Warren Haynes vocals & that is saying a lot - for my Wife to admit she likes the music I play !!
We have been watching the birds (in the garden) today... we think they have chicks somewhere. Every now & again, they come into the garden, take some food from the feeders we have out and then fly off with a big mouth full of stuff !! We're guessing that they are taking it to feed their babies.... either that, or they are going to be very fat by the end of the month !!
We know when there are chicks in the garden, the Mum's & dad's help them with the food.... picking up scraps & feeding them to the young ones. A guy in Church, a while back, said he didn't have any birds in his garden.... he should come here & see our lot !! Oh well........ It's nice to see them tho' - B has spent many a year, feeding them & getting them used to us.......
The music of the day has been very off the wall - from Deep Purple 1970 concerts, thru' to the Mule I'm playing now.... it's great to have a good listen to various things, with-out thinking too hard about it !!
I found a Zeppelin concert from today... April 18th - this time from Phoenix, Arizona in 1970...... I seem to have a lot of the 1970 American tour, anyhoo... the tracks are:

3) Heartbreaker

I'm pretty certain it's not a complete concert.... I'm also pretty certain that I've never played it before !! It's here in the collection, but - judging by the dust on the cover & the fact I didn't know I had a copy.. well !! I honestly do not remember playing it at all - oh well, it's all good !! Somebody must of given it to me at some point & - with my brain (or lack of)... well, I've forgotten about it !! As always - don't buy bootlegs... buy the official stuff instead !! It's usually far better quality...... well, sometimes at least.......
I think tomorrow, B is taking J in to town, to have a visit to the dentist...... so, I might go along for the ride. As you know - if you are a long time reader of my words ("Hello" to my Russian & German & American readers again today) I do not mind going to the dentist - it offers me no fear at all !! But, tomorrow, J is having a couple of his teeth 'filled' and as he hasn't had that done for years, it will be interesting how he "takes" it !! I'm surprised he went in the first place - but, I'm guessing - he figured he better get them (his teeth) looked at before he got too old to care about them !!
While he is in the office - we might go shopping & pay some bills - you know, the stuff we seem to do every time we go into the blooming town !! We had our electric statement in the post today - we've spent exactly £1,000 on electric, since our last statement !! £1,000 - where did that go ?!! Never mind - it has to be paid, we can't live in the dark all the time !! Besides - I am not going to miss out on playing Cd's & stuff, just because the cost of electric has gone up - again !!
I just went upstairs, to see which cats are in.... our oldest is stretched out across the landing - above where the heating pipes on thru' the floor & one of the babies is on our bed. The other baby, I've just let in the front door - she is a bit wet, but not so bad !!
The weather is easing - from the window (upstairs) I can see across to Wales & also that the tide has come back in........ on 'our' little bit of sand. We call it that - but, we hardly ever go there now-a-days, mainly as I can't walk so far as I could !! It's only about a 15 minute drive - but, it's no so much fun now....... maybe, when the summer weather finally reaches us, we'll go down then !!
We keep thinking about going out for a few days or a week, in one of our tents......... just to something different !! Apart from our trips to Exeter & Birmingham, we really went no where last year !! Anyhoo - we will see how the "Sun Gods" treat us & maybe get the tent out for a few days or so !! We will wait & see - I won't be going to any concerts this year..... the Gregg Allman concert, well - that is about it for me folks !!
I see the Allman's have just done another Beacon run in New York & last weekend (I think) they did the Wanee Festival in Florida - so, maybe - just maybe - my Wife & Dearest Friend, might allow me to have them..... tho' - I very much doubt it !! She knows I would love them - but, this year, with surgeries twice since November.... well - not only do I need to get my health back together, but.... well... we will see how things go !! Don't put my order to one side, just yet Lady V...... I need to get past B first !! Ho-hum !!
Oh well, I better be away now..... I'm typed out..... mainly I guess, as I've not taken my 7pm meds !! It's now 30 minute late & hence I'm not really with it any more - bummer.... I will away & be back another time, until then....

It's A Hard Life Pt 2
Ho - hum and greetings (again) Worlds....
My thanks to my American, English & German friends who have logged on since I wrote this morning !! It's still a bright day here in this part of England - it actually rained like crazy earlier, but now..... well, it's gone back to being bright & sunny !!
Anyhoo - I'm back again. Why ? Well - it's been a funny sort of day !! I did go back to bed earlier, as predicted, but after a brief sleep I was woken by the hail stones banging off the window... it really was pelting it down !! So, that spoilt my beauty sleep & I decided to get up & play some more music.... bad mistake !!
Having nothing really 'special' to play - I dug out a Zeppelin bootleg (from under the bed)... that's where a lot of our Cd's live..... and put it into one of the Cd players. It didn't work !! Shock, horror & disbelief !! One of my Cd's didn't play ?! What is the World coming too !! So, after a few choice words of encouragement - I tried the same discs in the other machines..... it still didn't work !! Why ???? What had I done to deserve this injustice ?! I will never know - I'm guessing I did something wrong in a previous life.....
..... but, there is a light at the end of the tunnel !! Being a very sad Led Zeppelin collector, I have various copies of some of the shows & - this show - is one I have over & over, in different forms and sorts. So - I can breathe easy - well, I think I can.
ME is sat watching TV ('Pointless' is on again) - so, when the TV finishes, the music will be switched back on & hopefully the Cd's I have in the machine will play !! If not - I think a hammer will be needed to bring things back to some kind of normality !! I will know the answer to this problem in just over 20 minutes.... I bet you are happy (for me) knowing this !! Never mind............ life will go on !!
It does beg the question - why won't the Cd's play ? They has no visible scratches or marks... so, that's a puzzle. I keep all my/our collection in 'safe' conditions.... but, this one has some how got to this point in it's life. I won't thro' it away - maybe (one day) I will have another Cd player & - hopefully - that might play it !! Time will tell....... !!
Right - so what else is new ?! Nothing really..... B is out to a 'Weight-Watchers' meeting, J is behind me doing the dishes & ME is over to my left watching the afore mentioned 'Pointless' - which is coming to an end very soon..... about 5 minutes or so. Then it's music time again !!
Just with 'Pointless' - one of the answers featured the poet Coleridge, who stayed here in the village many moons ago & wrote a couple of his more famous works, while he was here..... one of which was brought way back to life, by Iron Maiden. Well, not really - but.... they did use some of his words.... !! Oh well...
The Cd player is on and this copy of the bootleg seems to be Ok !! "Yippppeeeee !!" The light at the end of the tunnel is truly on and working very brightly !! I really would of been gutted if it hadn't worked !! I am now a happy camper !! I'll be writing about this show in a week or so.... so.... I'll leave it until then to mention the details. Onwards.......
My plans for tonight are non--existent, again...... I need to sit down & sort out a bunch of DVD's that are here in various boxes. They are all mixed up & need to be put in some kind of order - or at least marked in some way, so I know what is on what disc & so on !! I keep meaning to do it - but, something always comes along & I forget to do it !!
The guys have both gone upstairs now - so, the TV is on quiet in the corner of the room...... playing the film of 'Jabberwocky'. If you've never seen it before - it's a sort of 'Monty Python' film.... that type of humour at least. It stars Michel Palin & was done by Terry Gilliam. Check it out - especially the end bit - with Michel Palin bringing the head of the Jabberwocky back to the city, to the sound of 'Pictures At An Exhibition' blasting away in the background !! Well good........
Just watching it - so many of the actors who were in it have now died !! I won't list them - but..... so many !!
I guess the film is so old now that a few of them were bound to pass away !! They were 'old' when they made the film... 25 years later, well - if they are not dead, they must be very old indeed !!
I think I mentioned a book by Fred Goerner, called 'The Search For Amelia Earhart' that I was reading...... well, I finished it a day or two back & it's all very strange !! I don't recommend it... but, if he is correct in his statements - well, Ms Earhart was working for the US government & was captured by the Japanese before World War 2.
He claims that (the American) Admiral Nimitz told him...".....Earhart & her navigator did go down in the Marshalls (islands) and were picked up by the Japanese". If this statement is true - where is the evidence to support it ?! Oh well - it sold books I guess.......... I'm waiting on another book - on the same subject - to see what other ideas are put forward. I'll let you know !!
Anyhoo - I best away now..... the Zeppelin Cd's are playing nicely in the background & all is well with my little world again....... well, until next time !!

My thanks to my American, English & German friends who have logged on since I wrote this morning !! It's still a bright day here in this part of England - it actually rained like crazy earlier, but now..... well, it's gone back to being bright & sunny !!
Anyhoo - I'm back again. Why ? Well - it's been a funny sort of day !! I did go back to bed earlier, as predicted, but after a brief sleep I was woken by the hail stones banging off the window... it really was pelting it down !! So, that spoilt my beauty sleep & I decided to get up & play some more music.... bad mistake !!
Having nothing really 'special' to play - I dug out a Zeppelin bootleg (from under the bed)... that's where a lot of our Cd's live..... and put it into one of the Cd players. It didn't work !! Shock, horror & disbelief !! One of my Cd's didn't play ?! What is the World coming too !! So, after a few choice words of encouragement - I tried the same discs in the other machines..... it still didn't work !! Why ???? What had I done to deserve this injustice ?! I will never know - I'm guessing I did something wrong in a previous life.....
..... but, there is a light at the end of the tunnel !! Being a very sad Led Zeppelin collector, I have various copies of some of the shows & - this show - is one I have over & over, in different forms and sorts. So - I can breathe easy - well, I think I can.
ME is sat watching TV ('Pointless' is on again) - so, when the TV finishes, the music will be switched back on & hopefully the Cd's I have in the machine will play !! If not - I think a hammer will be needed to bring things back to some kind of normality !! I will know the answer to this problem in just over 20 minutes.... I bet you are happy (for me) knowing this !! Never mind............ life will go on !!
It does beg the question - why won't the Cd's play ? They has no visible scratches or marks... so, that's a puzzle. I keep all my/our collection in 'safe' conditions.... but, this one has some how got to this point in it's life. I won't thro' it away - maybe (one day) I will have another Cd player & - hopefully - that might play it !! Time will tell....... !!
Right - so what else is new ?! Nothing really..... B is out to a 'Weight-Watchers' meeting, J is behind me doing the dishes & ME is over to my left watching the afore mentioned 'Pointless' - which is coming to an end very soon..... about 5 minutes or so. Then it's music time again !!
Just with 'Pointless' - one of the answers featured the poet Coleridge, who stayed here in the village many moons ago & wrote a couple of his more famous works, while he was here..... one of which was brought way back to life, by Iron Maiden. Well, not really - but.... they did use some of his words.... !! Oh well...

It's a hard life.......
Well Hello There Worlds !!
How are you are doing this fine Tuesday morning ?! Here in England, the Sun is out, there are a few white clouds about & just an odd bit of blue trying to get thru' - it's blooming cold tho'...... not that I've been outside yet !! But, I've just waved B off to the gym & as she opened the front door - the cold air really blasted into the house !!
She has only just left - so, she will be home in a few hours I guess...... as for the rest of the family. J is here keeping an eye on me, making sure I don't do anything stupid !! ME is out at Uni placement - but, I think she will be home in a few hours (or less) as she is heading back towards town, to see somebody & then an early trip home.
Her new car seems to be going well - she had to go up the motorway, yesterday, to hand in her final work & she seemed to enjoy the drive !! I think her fuel meter was a bit scary - the way it went from full, downwards.... but, she has to expect that !! After all, it's a lot newer than her old car & it will all take a bit of getting used to !!
As for her boyfriends car.... he bought a 'Mini' a few days before ME bought hers..... now, his is back in the garage with a gearbox problem - not good !! I hope it will all get sorted for him.... he has paid a lot of money for the thing & it's a shame it's gone & picked up a fault !! It's under guarantee - for the first 3 months - but, it not so good at the moment !!
I've just sat, with J, watching the 'Discovery' - the space shuttle - leave Florida on it's journey to Virginia.... oh well, as followers of the space programmes it was worth watching !! Onwards.....
The music of the moment is the soundtrack album to the 'Gettysburg' film. The Cd reached me (from America) yesterday. It's been a good listen really - matching the music to the film..... After that finishes, I have Iced Earth's 'Live In Athens' ready to play !! You really do get a variety of music in this place & that's for sure !!
Last Friday night - there was a 4 hour mish-mash of programmes on, covering 'Southern rock'. I had great hopes of seeing some great bands - but, in the end... well, a part from a very few moments of pure class, it was a little bit of a let down really !! Ok - they showed the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert, from 1975 -and a few clips of Allman Brother's 'stuff'....... but, nothing that stood out !! I think we nearly all own a copy of the Skynyrd show (it came out on the 'Gimme Back My Bullets' deluxe Cd)... so, it would of been nice to see something else by them !! Never mind - we did get to see another clip of Gregg Allman & Cher !! All was not lost..... but it could of been better !!
On Saturday - I wasn't feeling too brilliant & by Sunday morning, I was well poorly - again !! In the end B just gave me some med's & I think I stayed in bed for most of the day.... so, once again, we missed Church. B wants me to go back to the Dr's - to check out the pains I'm getting.... but, there is very little he can do for me, other than put me on more pills & stuff !! Never mind - the morphine works - so.......
I mentioned a problem with one of The Church members and how I didn't know if to let the Bishop know of the problem. Well, in the end, I decided he should know what might be happening & wrote to him - giving him a little for warning.
He thanked me for the "heads up" - but, as it was about things happening outside of the Church (altho' a Church member is involved) he would stay out of it, for now. That's Ok with me - I've done the right thing & I have nothing to be sorry for !! We will see what happens next really........
Anyway's - that was my weekend - I still feel a little out of it today..... but I will be fine really. B did take me into town yesterday, to buy a few things - which meant, I got to check out the new wheels on my chair !! They are sooooo much quieter than my old set !! I can now sneak up on people with-out them knowing I'm rattling behind them !! The big plus is that I have 'my' chair back !! It is so much more comfortable than the 'loaner' I had for a couple of weeks !! I look forward to using it again - but I'm not sure if that will be this week or not - I'll see how I am I guess !!

I'm hoping the tea bags we sent to America have made it Ok...... they should be there by now - as long as somebody didn't take a fancy to a cup of tea at the customs department !! With the Easter weekend being in the middle - I'm not sure how long stuff will have taken to reach their destination !! We will see how things go.
I must say a big thank you to my Russian reader, for logging in over the past week. I thank you & the many others of you who read my words for your time. It's great to know you are 'out there' !!
Ok - my plans for today are quite simple.... I'm going back to bed !! Yep - it's a hard life, but I need to rest this old shell of mine & then, hopefully, tonight I will feel better for it !! As for the rest of the week - I'm not sure what we are doing really...... which is probably for the best !! If I don't know what I'm doing - I won't have time to worry about it !!

The Right Thing To Do......
Greetings Worlds.....
It's been a good day here in England !! ME has picked up her 'new' car, I've (at last) got new wheels for my chair and I've printed out one copy of ME's last big work of her Uni years !! All 51 pages of it !! Now she has to read it thru' (again) so I can print off the final copy...... she has to hand that in (for binding) on Monday. All is well with the World.......
B & ME have gone out for a drive - got to put the new car thru' it's paces for Mum - and then off to pick up some stuff at ASDA...... it seems to go on & on today !!
Anyhoo - that leaves my good self & J home........ the music of the moment is 'Yesshows' by Yes.... it's an old live album they did moons ago.... I thought I would give it a quick play thru' - even if 2 of the tracks are about 30 minutes long !!
Staying with music - tonight, there is 4 hours of 'Southern Rock' on the BBC !! As a big Allman Brothers fan, I will not be missing that !! It will also have stuff by Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band... all kinds of stuff !!
If I stay awake for all of it - well, that's doubtful... but, I'm sure the DVD recorder will get used !! I will let you know how it goes !!
I was looking for a Zeppelin concert for today.... couldn't find one, so I've settled for a show from Ottawa, April 14th 1970. Ok - it's a day early..... but.... the tracks are:

6) Thank You
7) Whole Lotta Love
It's nowhere near the complete show.... I even forgot I had a copy... but, it's all good for the collection !! As always, don't buy bootlegs !! Onwards.....
It's been a really warm day here, so I opened up the doors - mainly to let some air into the house.... but, somebody has lit a bonfire & the smell of burning plastic is really thick in the air...... it's horrible & illegal !! I guess they think - as we live in the country - they can get away with it !! Oh well.......

Being the weekend (almost) - we are thinking about Church on Sunday..... and if we will be able to go or not. It depends on my health really. But, there is a problem brewing and I'm thinking I better inform the Bishop, before the "fit hits the sham" !! It concerns one of the Congregation & something he does in his spare time - none of my business really, but - somehow B & I have become involved !! So - I have to decide, if to tell the Bishop... or to leave things alone & hope it all blows thru' !! Not an easy decision really !! I will have to think about it & see what I decide....... To tell him, would be the right thing to do - but, I'm not sure if it's my place. Oh well..... again, I will let you know how things go !!

Amelia Earhart
Greetings Worlds - Are you turning nicely ?!
Ok - it's a Thursday morning here in England - the Sun is out, the sky is blue etc etc ... all is well with this little part of England. Well, sort of - I've been in bed most of the last couple of days... nothing too major, I needed to 'get away' for a while & the bed won !!
So - why Australia ?! Why not ?! It's just me having a bit of fun really !! Hee-hee. No really, Australia is one country that I have not had any 'log ins' from.... so, I decided to drop a hint, to see if anybody caught on & said "Hello" - so far... I've had no takers... never mind !!
The music of the moment is the Allman's 'A & R Studio's' show I got a few weeks back..... I had two copies of the same Cd & found this one earlier today... so, I decided to unwrap it & give it a play !! It might be from 1971, but - it's well good !! If you get chance, pick up a copy !!
So - that's the music of the moment.... I don't have any Zeppelin concerts from April 12th - there will be more, just none from today. As for the family.....
... well, B has just gone down to the Dr's surgery, for a meeting. She belongs to a group, which works out different things for the practice. Anyhoo, she won't be home for a couple of hours or so.... J is upstairs working on his computer & ME is upstairs, getting very excited !!
The reason for the latter is quite simple - she gets her new car tomorrow !! All this week, we have had to live with a sort of 'count down' of the days !! That's not exactly true - we have a had a countdown of the nights !!
Every day - we have heard X number of "sleeps to I get my car". This morning, there is only one sleep to go.
It's all good fun & I know how excited she is about it all..... it's her second car & the newest one she has ever had !! Bless her !!
The guys at our local garage have given it a check over & they say it's in good order....... so, here's hoping it will last her a goodly while !! A little later, B & her are going to give Chester (her old cars name) a good clean thru..... it needs it - if nothing else, to get all the Cd's out of the thing !! How they survive in that mess, I've no idea !!
Talking of Chester (the car) - ME has started parking it on the road, instead of in the drive way. By 'drive way' - I mean the little bit of a path we have, that leads to the garage. The new car probably won't fit (up the path) - so, to get the neighbours used to another car being on the road, Chester has spent the last few nights nose to nose with our wreck !!
If nothing else, it's given 'the neighbour from hell' something different to moan about !! Last night, she was pacing out in the road - you could see her measuring how far ME's car was from her path !! She can't really moan - it's no closer than our car used to be - Chester has just taken our place in the street & we've moved back a bit more into our parking bay. It's all good fun really - it really is.....
Tomorrow there will be a black car there & Chester will have gone to his 'new' home.... wherever that might turn out to be !! It'll be 'sad' to see her first car go - but, the new one will be much better for her.
The music has just changed to 'One World, One Voice'..... It came out years ago & it's about 50 minutes long, with different people taking sections of of the music...... it's quite good, tho' I would like a better copy of it - mine is well old & scratched !! I have looked for copies, but I've only ever found one & I'm playing that as I type !!
I mentioned 'tomorrow' - well, also (apart from changing cars) ME has to print out her final chunk of work for Uni....... as it's expected to be about 60 pages long, I've put new ink in the printer & found all the white paper I have !! It would be a bummer to start printing & have to stop - to go into town - and buy fresh ink !! I just hope we have enough paper - she is talking about doing two copies !! That will be interesting...... it'll take all day - my printer is not that fast, when it comes to lots of work !! It's fine for what I do..... but......
B & I were talking earlier.... hopefully the 'Tea bag' package will reach America this week !! Lady V is heading down to Florida, to the Wanee concerts, so it might reach her while they are away.... but, as long as it gets there safely, we don't mind !! We actually posted it a week ago today - so, by now, it's probably two thirds of the way across the big pond !! The pigeon we used wasn't very strong, so it'll need to rest part ways !!
Talking of flying pigeons - I'm reading an old book at the moment, about Amelia Earhart... the lady who set loads of flying records & then 'vanished' somewhere over the Pacific in 1937.... which I think is just coming up on 75 years ago. I got this book out of our library store - I'm probably the first person to have it in years !

Ok - it's a Thursday morning here in England - the Sun is out, the sky is blue etc etc ... all is well with this little part of England. Well, sort of - I've been in bed most of the last couple of days... nothing too major, I needed to 'get away' for a while & the bed won !!
So - why Australia ?! Why not ?! It's just me having a bit of fun really !! Hee-hee. No really, Australia is one country that I have not had any 'log ins' from.... so, I decided to drop a hint, to see if anybody caught on & said "Hello" - so far... I've had no takers... never mind !!
The music of the moment is the Allman's 'A & R Studio's' show I got a few weeks back..... I had two copies of the same Cd & found this one earlier today... so, I decided to unwrap it & give it a play !! It might be from 1971, but - it's well good !! If you get chance, pick up a copy !!
So - that's the music of the moment.... I don't have any Zeppelin concerts from April 12th - there will be more, just none from today. As for the family.....
... well, B has just gone down to the Dr's surgery, for a meeting. She belongs to a group, which works out different things for the practice. Anyhoo, she won't be home for a couple of hours or so.... J is upstairs working on his computer & ME is upstairs, getting very excited !!
The reason for the latter is quite simple - she gets her new car tomorrow !! All this week, we have had to live with a sort of 'count down' of the days !! That's not exactly true - we have a had a countdown of the nights !!
Every day - we have heard X number of "sleeps to I get my car". This morning, there is only one sleep to go.
It's all good fun & I know how excited she is about it all..... it's her second car & the newest one she has ever had !! Bless her !!
The guys at our local garage have given it a check over & they say it's in good order....... so, here's hoping it will last her a goodly while !! A little later, B & her are going to give Chester (her old cars name) a good clean thru..... it needs it - if nothing else, to get all the Cd's out of the thing !! How they survive in that mess, I've no idea !!
Talking of Chester (the car) - ME has started parking it on the road, instead of in the drive way. By 'drive way' - I mean the little bit of a path we have, that leads to the garage. The new car probably won't fit (up the path) - so, to get the neighbours used to another car being on the road, Chester has spent the last few nights nose to nose with our wreck !!
If nothing else, it's given 'the neighbour from hell' something different to moan about !! Last night, she was pacing out in the road - you could see her measuring how far ME's car was from her path !! She can't really moan - it's no closer than our car used to be - Chester has just taken our place in the street & we've moved back a bit more into our parking bay. It's all good fun really - it really is.....
Tomorrow there will be a black car there & Chester will have gone to his 'new' home.... wherever that might turn out to be !! It'll be 'sad' to see her first car go - but, the new one will be much better for her.
The music has just changed to 'One World, One Voice'..... It came out years ago & it's about 50 minutes long, with different people taking sections of of the music...... it's quite good, tho' I would like a better copy of it - mine is well old & scratched !! I have looked for copies, but I've only ever found one & I'm playing that as I type !!
I mentioned 'tomorrow' - well, also (apart from changing cars) ME has to print out her final chunk of work for Uni....... as it's expected to be about 60 pages long, I've put new ink in the printer & found all the white paper I have !! It would be a bummer to start printing & have to stop - to go into town - and buy fresh ink !! I just hope we have enough paper - she is talking about doing two copies !! That will be interesting...... it'll take all day - my printer is not that fast, when it comes to lots of work !! It's fine for what I do..... but......
B & I were talking earlier.... hopefully the 'Tea bag' package will reach America this week !! Lady V is heading down to Florida, to the Wanee concerts, so it might reach her while they are away.... but, as long as it gets there safely, we don't mind !! We actually posted it a week ago today - so, by now, it's probably two thirds of the way across the big pond !! The pigeon we used wasn't very strong, so it'll need to rest part ways !!
Talking of flying pigeons - I'm reading an old book at the moment, about Amelia Earhart... the lady who set loads of flying records & then 'vanished' somewhere over the Pacific in 1937.... which I think is just coming up on 75 years ago. I got this book out of our library store - I'm probably the first person to have it in years !

Australia.
Hi Everybody - I hope your Easter weekend has gone well ?
It's Easter Monday & I'm here on my ownsome - well, the 'kids' are upstairs - but, as I type I'm sat here on my own. B went to pick up some foodstuffs a little while ago & has phoned to say she is going into the gym for a short 'work-out'....... bless her !!
So - that leaves me here.... the music of the moment is Joe Bonamassa & Beth Hart's 'Don't Explain' Cd. It came out in 2011 & I don't think I've played it all the way thru' before !! Anyhoo - I'm giving that a go today.
It's been a good weekend so far..... On Saturday, our Daughter ME bought a 'new' car & will collect that on Friday. It's not brand new, but a 2008 'Clio' - which she has fallen in love with.... so, who am I to argue about her choice ? It's her money & she has done well to get this far !! I took a look at it & it seems like a good little car.... it's the same type of car she learnt to drive in, so......... we'll see how it goes I guess !!
J went away for a couple of days - we picked him up from the train station yesterday afternoon.... seems like he had a good time of it. We were on our way home from Church & called around by the train station - so, it was no big deal to collect him.
Church was good - it's the first time I've been in a number of weeks..... so, I'm glad to be fit enough to go back. I had to sit outside for a short while, during the service, as I "over heated" to quote myself !! We went back in for the close tho'. It was good to go back ......

Happy Easter
Greetings Worlds - How are you all doing today !!
It's Good Friday - For many millions of us, around the World, it's a very special day......... I'm sat here on my own today, the house is empty (apart from at least one cat) and out side, the Sun is bright, the sky is - sort of blueish - and it's a little cold. So - that's the weather forecast !! Onwards....
So - as I'm on my own, how do I spend the day ? Simple, play music (loudly) and kick back & have a rest...... it's the best way (for me at least) to spend a day on my own !! By music - I mean of course something a little 'rocking' & by that - as B isn't here to moan at me - I mean Led Zeppelin !! I could be playing almost anything, from A-Z.... but, before she went out, B found a 5 Cd set called 'Through The Years' & that's exactly what it's doing.....
Taking me, back thru' many years of collecting Led Zeppelin concerts..... I'm not going to list all the tracks (there are 46 of them) - but, it's a well good set !! Starting with a 1956 Jimmy page track, right thru' to their last concert, in Berlin in 1980.
I started playing it at 8.30 this morning & - so far - I'm only up to disc 3 (1975)... there is still about 2 hours to listen to !! Some people - B included - would have given up by now (B probably would of put a bullet into the Cd player).... but, not me...... I'm too old and ugly !! Oh well.......
Right - as mentioned, B is out. She & ME have gone up to visit her Dad & Aunty today. It's her Dad's birthday on Monday (I think) so she has taken up a gift for him. It's a good 45 miles away - so, as it's quite close, she will also visit Aunty G & put some flowers on her Mum's grave. She likes to visit (the grave) when she can - but, with me being poorly & the distance involved - well, it's not so often as she would like.
As for J - the other member of the family - he has gone up to Bath, to stay with some friends of his for a couple of days...... B took him to the train station on her way out this morning. I think he will be back tomorrow or Sunday - some time - I'm not sure what his plans are really. We have told him to give us a call if he gets stranded any where.... we can then go & fetch him !! There won't be much in the way of public transport over the weekend, so......
Earlier this morning - well early - one of our neighbours came over...... she has had a letter from, or at least to do with, "the neighbour from hell" as she has become affectionately called by most of us !! Anyhoo - this letter was sent via their 'person'.... the one they are using to fight the extension. It's a 3 paragraph letter, made up of 3 sentences & it's the sort of thing a spoilt brat would write !! A very young spoilt brat at that - it's really "evil"...... it's been many a year since I've seen somebody put words like that into a letter !!
If anything - the letter will play against them.......I hope !! We will see how things pan out, but it's going back to the 'plans people' & it will be up to them if they give the go ahead on the extension or not !! If nothing else - it will delay things & that's got to be good !! Honestly.... it's a really nasty letter !! Oh well.... onwards !!

ME has been at a Uni placement, as part of her course.... anyhoo, her mentor mentioned that she had read a blog, about a guy, his family & his music. Yep - it was me, sooooo - at least I know one of my English readers, even if we've never met !! It's a small World folks !! Oh yes - I found out my reader (I mentioned it a few days back) is from Latvia..... so, if you read these words "Hello" !! It's amazing so many of you around the World take the time to log on, over & over !! I thank you..........
Time to have a moan - a public service announcement, if you like !! I ordered a DVD for B - it's another 'ER' season. So, I ordered it & as I wanted her to have it before Easter's holiday - I paid extra, to have it sent "over night". It's thru' Play.com & they claim stuff will reach you by 3pm the following day..... it didn't !! In fact, it will - according to Play, not reach me until tomorrow, Saturday !!
So, my 'public service announcement' is - don't waste your money ordering from Play.com & using their overnight service...... it doesn't work !! In fact - I would say it's a bit of a rip off !! Each to their own - but, I won't be using it again !!
As I've been typing - as usual - the TV has been on silent in the corner. The film 'King Of Kings' has been on, which is normal for Easter in England.... anyhoo, I just wanted to say, I think it's Jeffrey Hunter's best acting role ever !! It's one of those films I could watch over & over and see something new every time I see it.... it's a great film !!
I've just spoken with B - they are heading towards her Dad's place now...... not sure how long they will be, from there - but... they will be home, when they get here I guess !! It's been a very quiet day - with no one in the house but me & the cat !! It's surprising how much I've missed everybody !! Oh well....
...... I better be on my way !! I've nothing better to do, but my fingers are given up on me !! So, until next time... the Zeppelin Cd's have just reached 1979 & 'Ten Years Gone'.... one of the best tracks they ever did, until next time, thank you for reading.....

A special greeting to my Russian reader - I hope you are well & I thank you for logging in 'today' (or whatever time it was, with you, when you read my words)..... I know there is a big time difference between us.
Anyhoo - it's a Thursday evening.... it's a little warmer today - still wet & cloudy.... but, a little warmer at least !! B & I spent a lot of time in town today.... and, as mentioned before (I think) - I have a rental wheelchair at the moment & it's crap !! Really hard work trying to get myself around !! I am use to me own 'wheels' - so that is probably the problem, I just need to adjust.
Having said that - B has made comment about how heavy the chair is, compared to mine. Oh well, I hope I will have mine back next week - but, with the Easter weekend, that will delay things a while !! We will see how things go !!
It has been a good day tho'.... we posted off the package to Lady V, in America !! It was meant to have been sent on Monday, but (as I wrote before) my chair fell apart, so we didn't get to do it until
today !!
I really hope it makes it Ok - I'm a little concerned about a box of 'tea bags' might attract some over zealous customs search !! I hope it should reach Atlanta early next week - here's hoping anyway !! It has been fun tho' - looking at various brands & deciding which one to send !! Great fun..........

But, back to yesterday....... I didn't post anything, mainly as I was sooooooo excited about leaving the hospital on Monday - and not having to go back for 6 weeks - I forgot all about having another appointment, with another Consultant, yesterday !! So - that threw me out, a little.... never mind, there was some good news.
For the first time in forever, my pills have been reduced & (at last) I don't have to take so many. Ok - it's only one less pill - but, it's a start & that's brilliant as far as I'm concerned !! If all goes well, as the year goes on - I can come off a few more !! We will see how my body reacts..... all in good time !!
Anyway - I was a little 'out of it' yesterday.... so, I decided not to post... but, I'm back today !! Oh well !!
Today - well, we were at the post office at 9am (posting off the package) and then we hoped to go straight into town, pay some bills & do a little shopping. Things didn't as we hoped & we landed up coming back to the house, until about 11.30. i won't bother you with the details, but - "the best made plans" & all that !!
So - it meant we didn't reach town until way after 12 noon..... & made it to ASDA a bit later....... and heck, it was crowded out !! I know it's Easter & there are a couple of days when the shops will close - well, only on Sunday - but, to see the crowds, you would think everything was shutting for the whole week !! It was bad - I really hated it - too many people !!
But - we did our shopping, came home with a car full of food, which might last a few days (we hope) & then I sat back & had a rest. B went across the road - to visit the lady who came here a few days ago - and now, the ladies of our house, have headed off, back into town.....
ME is going to visit her boyfriend for the night & B to get a hair cut. She goes to a ladies house & has it done there........ it's the same lady who has cut her hair for several years. The only difference now - since having her children - she works out of her own home, instead of a shop !! Never mind - B will be home in an hour or two I guess... I'm not sure exactly when.
J is upstairs & keeping an eye on me - to make sure I don't come to harm - which leaves me here typing these words...... nice & quiet !! Well - unless you don't count the music !! At the moment, I'm playing a 2011 concert by Deep Purple, from the 'Montreux Jazz Festival'. I picked up a copy yesterday - it's pretty good, tho' some of the 'orchestration' is a little too much for me !! It's all music tho'.... soooooooo........

If all goes well, we will be at Church on Sunday.... I know it's 3 days away.... but, I'm thinking a head & I forgot today was a Thursday !! It feels like a Friday or Saturday to me....... mainly as we went shopping today !! It's thrown my body clock all out of kilter !! Never mind...... at least it's a plan & I hardly ever have one !!
Still - for now I will away & watch the 'news' on the good all BBC........ We had a load of riots here last year & today some girl was found guilty of taking part. Ok - so, lots of people took part - the difference is - this girl is the Daughter of a millionaire - not the average "jobless idiot" who the Government would have you believe were behind all the trouble !! It just goes to show - deep down, money doesn't count for much if your children don't act as they should.........!! If you understand what I mean ?! Oh well........

Staying Warm In The Homestead !!
Greetings Worlds Of Internet Space !!
The music of the moment is a copy of Bob Harris's '40th Anniversary' show that was broadcast - I think - last August.... not 100% sure about that.... but, it's all good music !!
There was one big problem yesterday..... my wheelchair fell apart - with me in it !! I will explain - or try to !!
We left the hospital & had the plan of going into Taunton (where the hospital is) to sort out the parcel for Lady V, in America. So we parked the car & headed towards the shops & - got about 100 yards !! The left wheel, for want of a better word - 'fell' apart !! I was left on a pavement - stuck !! We had no choice, but to go back to the car & head for home..... bit of a bummer really !!
So - that has delayed things a bit.... but, if you read these words Lady V.... you're not forgotten, honestly !! I will get to town at some point & post the parcel off - as soon as I can...... I promise !! I hope you will like it, when it actually reaches you....... it's been fun putting it together !!
Any ways - because the wheelchair fell apart.... I've had to get a 'rental' for a couple of days/weeks - I'm not sure how long it will take to get it fixed....... we will see how things go !! It will be interesting using a different set of wheels....... oh well !!
It's another Tuesday here in England & the weather has changed from the bright, warm sunshine we had last week !! It's now overcast & cold !! Not that cold - I have a jumper on, just to keep the chill off.... oh well !!

It should do - she seem to be getting on well with her 'mentor'. We'll see how things have gone - when she gets home tonight.

It's been a busy week, so far...... Yesterday, I had to go back to the hospital... to see my Consultant. It seems to have gone well !! It's really good - because I didn't have any sort of appointment - I just had to show up, say "Hello" & meet the guy. Now, that is the best way to be looked after !!
Anyhoo - I seem to be getting better - the implant is (sort of) working & the wounds are in the process of healing & I hope, will get better over the coming weeks. There is a very small chance of 'rejection' - that is to say, my body will reject the implant.... but, as long as I keep taking the pills, things should be good !!
I don't have to go back for another 6 weeks - unless there is a problem - so.... things are moving forward !! That is a big deal for me, it's the first time in over a year That I've not had a weekly 'hospital' visit in the

Well, we have lived here over 13 years - I mention that, because this morning one of the neighbours came over for a drink...... it's the first time she had ever been thru' our door !! It's amazing how people have taken to us - since we stood up for ourselves & told the 'n f h' where she could go !! We've gained a whole new raft of friends.... well, at least a bit more understanding !! It's nice to be noticed after all these years !!
She really came over, to ask B for some help - which is nice - & B agreed..... They will sort it out as & when it's needed. It'll give B something else to do - rather than just worry about how I am & everything !! Something to do - outside of the 'home'.......
I'm enjoying playing this old Bob Harris recording.... it's full of different music - so far, from Wishbone Ash to Richard Thompson sessions, recorded over many years. I'm glad I stuck the recorder going - it's over 3 hours long & well worth a listen, over & over !! He has just moved onto Walter Trout - certainly got a variety of stuff !!

This past weekend was our General Conference & I managed to watch most of the broadcasts. I will have to see the late 'shows' again - as it was way past my bed time, when it was 'live' here in England !! It is always wonderful - to hear & see our Church leaders. I may not be overly happy with our Congregation, but I still enjoy the Church..... it's not for everyone, but......... !!
I've reached the part of the Bob Harris show recording, where he spends about an hour, talking with Robert Plant..... somewhere I still have a copy of the 'Electric Prom' show he did last summer. It was broadcast on the BBC - I must try & find it !! I remember I didn't enjoy the concert that much - but, I'll listen to it again at some point..... maybe it's improved with age ?! Ho-hum........
