Hi again everybody.... many greetings to you all !!
It's another Tuesday !! Yet another week has gone by - today is chocolate & TV magazine day... the day that, by tradition, over the last couple of years has kept my addled brain together. If it's chocolate & TV mag day - it has to be a Tuesday !! It all helps me remember things......
Oh well... moving along...
I'm home alone - for a while at least. B has gone down to the village, to attend one of the Dr's surgery meetings, that come along - about once a month. I'm not 100% sure what they talk about - but, everything seems to be put into the mix.... to try to help the surgery !!
One way that they could help, is by telling the Dr's to knock on the doors - before they go charging in to the treatment rooms !! In the last week, alone, I've been down there & had 2 of the Dr's just walk into the room.... it really pisses me off !!
Ok - I know it shouldn't bother me...... but, I'm sat there, with my shirt off with the nurse treating my wound - fixing new dressings to it - and suddenly a Dr comes thru' the door !! I really hate that !!
It's bad enough, having the bloody dressings changed, as it is.... with the pain & everything, without a Dr coming into the room & ignoring my privacy !! The nurse should lock the doors - but, sometimes, they forget.... nevermind !!
So - that's where B is, at the moment..... leaving me here, listening to some Gov't Mule & waiting for a repair man, to get out here & fix our washing machine - once again, it has broken down !! That makes it 5 times in less than 3 years !! Luckily, we have a repair insurance going, to cover breakdowns - sooooo, that covers the worst of it !!
Sooner - or later - they will just scrap the old thing & give us a replacement.... again, that's part of the insurance cover - I doubt if it will come to that...... it would be good, if it did - but.... I can't see it happening !!
Going back to music... I'm playing the official version, of the bands New Orleans concert, from May 3rd 2003. It came out as 'The Deepest End' 2 Cd + DVD set..... normally, I play the soundtrack of the DVD - it's longer & contains a slightly different set, but - the tracks, on the Cd's are:

Just a while ago - before playing this Cd - I was listening to Jack White's 2014 album 'Lazaretto' - it's one of the many Cd's I've been & collected (in one way or another) over the last couple of weeks.... mostly since coming out of hospital.....
I still have a soft spot, for The White Stripes - but this new album is growing on me... bit by little bit. If you get chance, give it a listen..... it's all music & that can't be too bad, can it ?!

Ok - my plans, for this fine day... well, none at all really !! I have several things, that really & truly, I should be getting on with - but, I really don't feel that well enough, to even make a start - let alone finish the things, if I actually got around to starting them, in the first place !! I'm not sure if that makes any sense.... but, I kind of know what I mean !!
I want to pull the music tower out... the stack of various components, that make up the various bits I listen music thru' - (a) to rewire the speakers (b) to give everything a dust down (c) to remove the Pioneer deck (d) replace that deck, with the new TEAC one..... and lastly (e) wire in the very old speakers, that I've had for many, many, many Moons - to really give the room a new sound !!
Ok - it'll be the same... as the old sound - but, I hope..... and it's a kind of "leap in the dark" kind of hope.... that by adding the old speakers, the room will sound a little better !! Heck - if it's worse, I won't use the old speakers.... but..... I'll see how things go !!
Each of the old speakers have a 12 inch bass speaker + various other things - so, if nothing else.... I'll give the room a bit of a shake up, when I play the beginning of 'Dark Side Of The Moon' !! Always a favourite....... ho-hum....
Right - I must be on my ways.... the washing machine man has yet to get here - but, I want to get on with some other stuff, while I'm waiting for him...

Crosby, Stills & Nash '2012'... well good !!
Greetings World's !!
It's a Monday afternoon, here in the wilds of England's South-West corner !! B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - is behind me, in our kitchen, making some fresh cakes..... for once, we actually ran out !! Oh well.... fresh supplies will be available shortly !!
As for the rest of the family.... well, there are no cats around - for the moment - so, with no one else living here - that's just about it !! It's just the two of us.... life is good !!
I did intend to write, over the weekend - but...... I just didn't get around to it, sorry about that !! I know several of you have logged in. I will try & do better, over the coming month of October. September hasn't been the best of months..... sooooo - I will try & do more, depending how things go.
Looking back, over the past month, I really hoped - I really thought - that with the surgery, on the 8th, things would get better..... well, better than they ("things") have been. However - I'm still living with a hole, in my back - it's just in a different place... that's all !!
On Friday - I went down, to the local surgery, to have my dressings changed. The plan from there, was to go the whole weekend - without a dressings change - and return to the surgery, this morning. Unfortunately - the best laid plans........ you know what I mean ?!
By yesterday - I was really feeling "poorly".... not sick, just fed up with the dressing. When B said it was starting to get a bit nasty.... not her exact words.... I asked her, to take me to the local hospital - to get the district nurse to give it the once over, dressings wise. I'm glad I did...
Luckily - the nurse that I saw, was one of the lovely ladies, who have been coming out to the house, over the last few months....... well, since last August (2013) when I came out of hospital.
The first thing, that I heard her say was ".. it's not going to heal".... or "work" - I can't honestly remember !! It seems, that before she said this - she looked at B & shook her head - so, I'm guessing things are not going so well ?!
Today - this morning - I went back, to the local surgery and saw the nurse here. I think - only think, mind you..... that general consensus is, I have a big flap of muscle - which has been moved over, to cover the old hole...... unfortunately - it's not exactly attached, to the skin underneath..... leaving another hole - which, as I've said before...... is kind of replacing the old one !! Great stuff !!
I can't tell you, just how I feel.... it's not only the pain... it's the fact that, after 16 months - I'm still having to live, like this !! Ok - I knew what I was getting into..... I just wasn't expecting to looked like a "Ninja Turtle"... with a great heap of dressings, over the top of my back !! Oh well..... onto other stuff !!
As mentioned, on Friday, I have been given a shed load of music - over the last few weeks, or so..... having said that - I picked up 2 "new" things today, when B & I went into town !! Maybe I should listen to all the old stuff - but..... it's all good !!
The music, of the moment, is a double Cd + DVD set by Crosby, Stills & Nash.... called simply '2012' - which, if you think about it, goes nicely along with the set that Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young brought out, just a while ago, called '1974' !!

Hopefully, in the next few days, I will have copy of the new Dream Theater DVD 'Breaking The Fourth Wall'. I think it only came out, today..... but, it should be good - having been recorded with an orchestra & choir !! I think it's going to be, about, 2 hours long..... I'll let you know, when I get it !!
There is also a new studio album, by Joe Bonamassa - which is called 'Different Shades Of Blue' - and - hopefully, I'll pick up a copy of that, as soon as I can..... being "officially bankrupt" I have to watch my cash situation... but, I can still treat myself, from time to time... maybe not just as often, as I used to !!
On Wednesday, I have to go back down to Exeter, to see the surgeon.... I might get chance, to go into one of the Cd shops, there & see what I can find - it'll depend how things go !! I'll see how the cash flow goes.....
I have some other stuff, coming in the post..... some really old !! It includes Ten Year After's very first album - I had it on Lp... now, thanks to the bonus points scheme, with Play.... I'm getting it for free !! Great stuff.... it only took me a few years, to work out how to use the points - but..... it's meant I've had a couple of albums, for free !! I'll let you know, when things get here !!
I was going to mention Saturday.... I was going to post something then - however, the Missionaries showed up, minutes after I switched the computer on !! To be honest - B or myself, were really "up" for having visitors..... I felt like crap & B (bless her) wasn't feeling too good.... but, you can't really turn the guys away !! Well - you can.... but, that's just a bit rude..... if you know what I mean !!
They said they could only stay a "little while" - but, it was 2 hours later, before they left !! By that time - well, both of us needed a break !! Nevermind.... that's part of the reason it's taken me 3 days, to get back to the computer !! It's all good, I guess..... it just delayed me, a couple of days.... !!
Talking about delays....
I still have a heap of Cd's, on the table - here in front of my good self !! I keep meaning to sort stuff out... I just never get around to it !! The pile just seems to get bigger & bigger.... taking over the whole table !! Also - I still have to decide, while to put the new Cd recorder !! It came a few weeks ago - and, as yet, it is still here, beside me.
I think - only think, mind you - that it's going to "replace" my old Pioneer deck.... which, if my plan works out, will then go under my computer screen. I can still use it - but, it will sit nicely (I hope) on the table - where I can plug my headphones in - and used independently, from the main system...... I just need my back wound to heal a bit more, before I'll feel "well enough" to move stuff around !! Oh well - that's just one of the long term plans, that I must get around to doing...... not today tho' !!
Today... well - I don't really have any plans.... other than to sit back & listen to the rest of this CS & N album - I'm on Cd 2 now.... so far, so good..... I must away !!

A bit of back ache & lots of music.... !!
Greeting's World's !!
After nearly 3 weeks away from these pages - it feels a bit strange & in the same instant, great to be back !! Oh well.... I know what I mean !!
Ok - it's a Friday afternoon, here in England's South West corner....... just about 4pm - give or take a few minutes. As I type - I'm home alone.... no, that's a lie - I can see Archie has made an appearance, along with Smudge - so, that's our oldest & youngest cats accounted for. Where the others are - I have no idea where they are !! I'm sure they will show up, especially around feeding time.
As for the human parts of the family...
Well, My Wife & Dearest Friend, B has just gone walkabout - into the village. She is heading down to a ladies house, to drop off a card & then over to the doctor's surgery.... to pick up some more of my medications !!
Actually - she has taken the car.... so, there is very little "walk-a-bout" involved !! It would not have been a lot of fun - dragging all of my stuff, back up the road...... We live, at the top end of the village, sooooo - it would of taken a bit of effort - so, I'm glad she has taken the old
banger !!
As for the other 2 members of our little tribe...
ME - our Daughter - and her partner - M - are doing Ok !! They have had their house now, for a few months..... living together seems to be going well !! Bless them both...... I might get to see them, over the weekend - I'm not really sure what their work plans are !!
So - that just leaves me...... well - in a weird sort of way !!
Where do I start ?!
If you have read my words before - you will know, that on September 8th, I went back into the hospital - in Exeter - to have surgery number 9 or 10.... depending on where you start..... on my back. I can't say it's been a lot of fun !! To explain.... sort of.......
I had to be back, into the hospital, for 7.30am.... that was Ok - even tho' it meant leaving here, really early in the morning, to get there, on time !! Anyhoo - we made it.... and, after a couple of hours, I kissed B "goodbye" and I went into theater.
I'm not sure, just how long I was actually there - but, the first thing I can really remember, was being back on one of the wards - feeling very stiff & sore..... oh - and having to stay on my side - so I didn't hurt myself......
It turned out - we know now - that I had between 40 & 50 stitches, in my back & I was having to stay in one position - so as not to pull any of them out !! Great stuff.......
Of course - after a few hours, nature took it's course.... and I was in real need of the bathroom !! So - I got up & walked the few feet to use the loo !! I don't think the nurses were too happy with me - back, as I tried to explain to them - this wasn't exactly new to me...... being stuck in hospital & doing what I was told .... so, they sort of "gave up" and let me get on with it.... in my own little way !!
Mind you - they did have chance to change all of my bed linen..... so, they were happy about that - it really did need to be changed !! I'm not sure how long I had been on the same sheet - but, I had obviously "leaked" over it... hence, they needed to change it !!
After that - I went & did what I was told.... and stayed my side - falling asleep, with my iPod (Mini Egg) playing loudly away to me..... thankfully - I was well medicated up, so.... I slept pretty well !!
I say "thankfully" - mainly as I was starting to hurt..... so, I wanted to sleep, just to get away from the pain !! If in doubt - go to sleep.... it's better (sometimes) to sleep it off, rather than put a shed load of pain killers in my mouth !!
However - once again... I missed the following morning's breakfast !! I've been in that hospital 3 times - since December 2013 - and I've hardly ever been awake, when they come around with the food !! Nevermind...... as it turned out, there was bugger all, on the menu, that I could eat anyways !!
B came to see me, later in the day... and took me for an excursion, in my wheelchair. I didn't go very far - just outside, to get some air & into the hospital shop, to pick up a magazine & some other stuff. It was really nice - just to get away from things, for a while !!
That was the Tuesday - she stayed home, on the Wednesday........ mainly as it was a 100 mile round trip, so.... she came back, on the Thursday - as it turned out, in time to collect me !! Yep - after 3 days, I was ready to come home - that felt really good !! As much as I appreciate, what the Dr's do for me.... there is nothing like getting home.... it didn't last !!
By the following Wednesday - I had been back, into hospital, 4 times !! Things didn't go exactly the ways we wanted it to - sooooo, I had to return, to get it all checked over. It has worked out, pretty much, Ok...... and, now, after 16 days - or whatever it's been - things have settle down !!
Sure - I still have a blooming hole, in my back - but.... it's not too bad !! Ok - I lie... it hurts like hell - but, I will get thru' it all...... I have my family & some great music.... so, life is pretty good !!
I've been having the dressings changed, almost, every day.... so, things have been kept together, by the local surgery & the district nurses - so, life is good !! If all goes well, by next Wednesday..... when I have to go back to the hospital, things will be even better.... so....... I will let you know, just how things have gone !!
As for why it's taken sooooo long, to put finger to keyboard....... well, I've not been firing on all thrusters, so... in a nut shell, I've not felt too much like writing anything !! Take last Sunday, for example....
I was really feeling like crap & B called the Dr's..... who, in turn, wanted me to head back to the hospital !! I told B - all I wanted to do, was to sleep..... so, I stayed home, in bed & by yesterday - well.... I'm back again & fighting semi-fit - so, life goes on !!
As for the music of the moment.... I'm playing an old live album, recorded in 1995, by Rainbow... Ritchie Blackmore's band. It's been one of many Cd's, that I've been given, over recent weeks..... it's pretty good !! The tracks are:

I had to be back, into the hospital, for 7.30am.... that was Ok - even tho' it meant leaving here, really early in the morning, to get there, on time !! Anyhoo - we made it.... and, after a couple of hours, I kissed B "goodbye" and I went into theater.
I'm not sure, just how long I was actually there - but, the first thing I can really remember, was being back on one of the wards - feeling very stiff & sore..... oh - and having to stay on my side - so I didn't hurt myself......
It turned out - we know now - that I had between 40 & 50 stitches, in my back & I was having to stay in one position - so as not to pull any of them out !! Great stuff.......
Of course - after a few hours, nature took it's course.... and I was in real need of the bathroom !! So - I got up & walked the few feet to use the loo !! I don't think the nurses were too happy with me - back, as I tried to explain to them - this wasn't exactly new to me...... being stuck in hospital & doing what I was told .... so, they sort of "gave up" and let me get on with it.... in my own little way !!
Mind you - they did have chance to change all of my bed linen..... so, they were happy about that - it really did need to be changed !! I'm not sure how long I had been on the same sheet - but, I had obviously "leaked" over it... hence, they needed to change it !!
After that - I went & did what I was told.... and stayed my side - falling asleep, with my iPod (Mini Egg) playing loudly away to me..... thankfully - I was well medicated up, so.... I slept pretty well !!
I say "thankfully" - mainly as I was starting to hurt..... so, I wanted to sleep, just to get away from the pain !! If in doubt - go to sleep.... it's better (sometimes) to sleep it off, rather than put a shed load of pain killers in my mouth !!
However - once again... I missed the following morning's breakfast !! I've been in that hospital 3 times - since December 2013 - and I've hardly ever been awake, when they come around with the food !! Nevermind...... as it turned out, there was bugger all, on the menu, that I could eat anyways !!
B came to see me, later in the day... and took me for an excursion, in my wheelchair. I didn't go very far - just outside, to get some air & into the hospital shop, to pick up a magazine & some other stuff. It was really nice - just to get away from things, for a while !!
That was the Tuesday - she stayed home, on the Wednesday........ mainly as it was a 100 mile round trip, so.... she came back, on the Thursday - as it turned out, in time to collect me !! Yep - after 3 days, I was ready to come home - that felt really good !! As much as I appreciate, what the Dr's do for me.... there is nothing like getting home.... it didn't last !!
By the following Wednesday - I had been back, into hospital, 4 times !! Things didn't go exactly the ways we wanted it to - sooooo, I had to return, to get it all checked over. It has worked out, pretty much, Ok...... and, now, after 16 days - or whatever it's been - things have settle down !!
Sure - I still have a blooming hole, in my back - but.... it's not too bad !! Ok - I lie... it hurts like hell - but, I will get thru' it all...... I have my family & some great music.... so, life is pretty good !!
I've been having the dressings changed, almost, every day.... so, things have been kept together, by the local surgery & the district nurses - so, life is good !! If all goes well, by next Wednesday..... when I have to go back to the hospital, things will be even better.... so....... I will let you know, just how things have gone !!
As for why it's taken sooooo long, to put finger to keyboard....... well, I've not been firing on all thrusters, so... in a nut shell, I've not felt too much like writing anything !! Take last Sunday, for example....
I was really feeling like crap & B called the Dr's..... who, in turn, wanted me to head back to the hospital !! I told B - all I wanted to do, was to sleep..... so, I stayed home, in bed & by yesterday - well.... I'm back again & fighting semi-fit - so, life goes on !!
As for the music of the moment.... I'm playing an old live album, recorded in 1995, by Rainbow... Ritchie Blackmore's band. It's been one of many Cd's, that I've been given, over recent weeks..... it's pretty good !! The tracks are:

I've had a load of Cd's - given to me, over the last few weeks..... too many to write about now, but over the next few weeks, I'll get around to them all !! Most of them are really good !!

'He Was A Friend Of Mine' - The Byrds......
Well "Greetings " World's !!
It's a very warm Sunday - here in the wilds of England....... it's not that wild really..... we live a little bit, out in the country - but - wild, it's not that bad !! Moving on...
I don't like to write on Sundays.... but, The Lord will have to forgive me.... for today - mainly as tomorrow is surgery time again !! Sooooo - it might be a while, before I write anything..... hence I'm spending a few minutes, today, just catching up - before.... well, incase, I don't get chance to put finger to keyboard for a while !!
As for the family.... My Wife & Dearest Friend.... B, is up in her "craft cave" doing a few odds & ends. Since she has had her own room - her own space, to do her cards & things, she has really got into the
groove !! I've never seen her have sooooo many cards, done this early for Christmas !!
The M & M's are coming around later - for a bit of a meal - as it might be a few days, before we can get together again..... B has decided to feed them up !! No - I'm only joking - but, it will be great to see them again !!
Going back, to this morning.... the nurse came around & changed my dressings - possibly for one of the last times !! She has removed the "Vac-pump" style dressings - so, I will go into the hospital, with just a regular dressing on my back.
I think the local nurses are afraid that I might lose their pump, in Exeter.... so, they've removed it today !! Bless them..... I will miss Hawking - he has been with me, for a few months now.... it's great, not to have the thing attached to my every move..... but, I will miss having him around !!
As for the music of the moment - I'm playing an old vinyl double alum, by the Byrds. It's called 'The Byrds Collection' - from which, I guess, you can work out it's a greatest hits, type of thing !! The tracks are:

Earlier, I was playing the 'Back To Front' DVD - I mentioned it yesterday - by Peter Gabriel.... My plan was to just put the s/t onto a couple of Cd's - but, something went wrong & it didn't work out !! I had hoped to put the s/t - onto the Mini Egg.... but, I forgot what I was doing & the Cd just didn't record the whole thing !! It was my fault - I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing, so, no soundtrack to listen to !! I'll get around to it - when I get out of hospital - sometime !!
Ok - my plans for today...
Well, it all revolves around getting ready for tomorrow..... I have to get my bag packed, get everything I think I might need & then sort it thru' - probably a couple of times - before having a bit of an early night !!
I'm not sleeping that well, at the moment - too much going around & around in my head..... mostly about tomorrow !! It might be surgery number 9 or 10.... but, I still get a little "uptight" about it all !! Mainly as this is the 3rd attempt to get it right.... maybe 3rd time lucky !! Who knows !!
I am going upstairs, as soon as I finish these words... I want to chill out, just for a while, at least !! So - I will thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... I'm not 100% sure when I will be back to these pages.... but... until then.....

Peter Gabriel.... 'Back To Front'... Well good !!
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you - this fine & Sunny Saturday afternoon ?! Of course - where you live.... it might already be Sunday morning....... or - possibly - Friday night !! No - that's too much to take on board, for my little brain....... Ho-hum...
It's a nice day, outside - well, I'm guessing it is !! I have only been awake, for just over 2 hours...... and I have no idea, what it is really like, out thru' the homestead doors !! I might pop my noggin, outside - but, not just yet....... nothing else to do mind..... I just don't feel like going outside !!
Ok - first off - "The Family" !!
As I type - B is attacking the front lawn.... giving it a good cut - in the hope it won't need doing, for a while at least !! I said she didn't have to bother.... but.... !! She wants to get it done.... it's dry, sooooo I don't blame her for that !!
In a while, I'm going to re-wire some of her gardening kit. The last time, that she used it, she got a whole 240 volts thru' her body !! It was my fault - I shouldn't let her re-join 2 wires, that she had cut thru', by accident !!
Today - I'm going to give it a good going over...... I can't let her shock herself to death !! Bless her - she means too much to me, to let her electrocute herself....... again !! Once was bad enough !!
As for the rest of the family - over to my left, Archie (our kitten) is trying to ignore my loud music.... and sleeping. Why is it, that cats are always trying to sleep ?! Bless them..... I've not seen any of the other cats... so far, at least !! Come feeding time - they will all be about, trying to get our attention !!
The human members of the family... the M & M's..... are coming over, tomorrow. To explain...
As long time readers will know - on Monday - I am going back into hospital, for my next surgery. So - tomorrow, the guys are coming around to have a meal with us........ I'll avoid the "Last Supper" puns.... but, you get the idea !! I might not be home again, for a while..... so, it's a family get together !!
I have to report, to the hospital, at 7.30am...... sooooo that means, I have to be up a few hours before - to get myself all ready & on the
road !! It's all but 50 miles, down to the hospital, in Exeter... so - with traffic, that could take about an hour........ hence, I have to be on the ball and ready to go !!
I know that I'm repeating myself..... but, since May 28th - last year - I've had 8 operations, on my back. This one - on Monday - will be number 9 !! I am really getting fed up, with all of this !! I just want it finished & done with, now...... in one way or another !!
If my back wound cannot be fixed - well, it's not like the guys haven't tried !! I will let you all know, how things turn out !! But, if there is a gap, in my posts...... just remember these words....
"If you're falling a long way, you may as well try to fly !!"
Moving on.... to "The Music In My Life"...
As I type - the big hi-fi unit is out of commission !! It's been playing up, for a while....... to explain..
The speakers are either side of the room - along the longest wall. If you sit, in my favourite chair - you get, for me, a perfect sound..... from both Bose. Unfortunately - the speaker cables/wires... I'm not sure what you want to call them.... well, they are old !! Sooooo - on Friday morning, I lost all sound, out of the right hand unit...... mainly (I hope) because the speaker cable has come adrift, from the back of the amp. It's not the first time this has happened - but, it's a pain in the butt, pulling everything out & re-attaching the blooming thing !!
Long story, made - kind of - short.... I've bought some cheap replacement cables..... and, in a while, I'll try & wire those.... at least one of them...... into the old Pioneer amp !! It will take me a while - mainly as my back will not let me work too well, lifting everything out - so that I can put the new cable(s) in place !!
I'll do that later...
In the meantime - I'm listening to the Mini Egg (my iPod thingy) thru' Black Betty (my iPod docking port) I've had it set up, beside me, for a while..... today, well.... it's come in use !!
It's a 100 watt outfit - so, I can really give the village a bit of music, to moan about... but, I like it !! It will really get a heck of use, when I start work, either here - in the house - or out in the garage - on the next model railway !! As yet - I've not decided where to go with it.....
But - I have to get my back working first...... so..... it won't be for a while & that's a fact !!
I'm thinking about using the back room, upstairs...... It's quite big & as B has moved into the front bedroom, to do all of her craft stuff - I might as well use the rear bedroom !! As long as I'm paying the government's "bedroom tax"..... £50+ per month - I might just as well put that money, to good use & build my next layout in the warm - by using that room !!
Ok - I know.... it's not called a "bedroom tax" - but, we have 2 spare rooms........ for which, we are supposed to pay just over £100 per month !! If we didn't have those rooms.... we wouldn't pay the extra - so - two extra bedrooms = £100.... hence, it's a "bedroom tax" in everything but name !!

Hollywood Undead & going broke.... Ho-hum !!
Well "Greetings" World's !!
It's been a few days, since I last posted anything - once again... sorry about that !! I think it was Saturday, when I last put finger to keyboard, oh well !!
Today is a very cold - for early September - Thursday.... and, I'm home alone !!
B has gone up to Wells, to see her Dad - and also a quick visit, to see her Auntie G !! There was a chance, that I was going to go... but, to be honest - I felt like crap, when she left home... so, I stayed in bed !! That was a couple of hours ago...... I still feel like crap - but, I'm trying to get myself going...... hence, I'm typing these words to you !!
The music of the moment, is..... 'Game Of Thrones - Season 4'..... well, the soundtrack Cd !! As yet, I've not seen any of season 4..... but, hopefully, it will be available, to buy on DVD, by Christmas - so.......... Santa, put a copy under the tree for me !!
I'm not going to list all of the tracks - but, some of them look
interesting !! Also - having read all of the books, so far published, I recognized quite a few of the names !! It's going to be good, to watch the DVD - whenever I get a copy ?!
Anyhoo - where have a I been, since Saturday........ nowhere really !!
Yesterday, we spent some time, over at the M & M's house, trying to do a bit of painting...... I didn't do very much, I'm sorry to say !!
My main task, was to go up the ladder & paint the high bits of the landing area...... the problem was, the first coat of paint dried, into the wall, really quickly - then the second coat, well - just didn't dry at all !! Sooooo - my plans to do all 3 coats, all in one afternoon, just didn't work !!
I couldn't see - because of the wet areas, which parts I had already done & which parts needed another coat !! Bit of a bummer really !! Anyhoo - I will go back, at some point - if need be & have another go.
It won't be for a while, at least - as, on Monday, I'm back into hospital !! I would put a "Yippee" in there - but, I'm too knackered to care about it all.....
I have to report, to the hospital, at 7.30am & - I hope - by lunchtime, I will be in the theater, or better still... back on the ward, in the recovery area !! Long time readers will know, this is surgery number 9 or 10 - depending when you start counting, so.... I'm getting really used to it all now !!
I'm told, I will be stuck, in hospital, for up to 5 days - but, if I can get out, after one night... I will do my best !! I'm pretty good at escaping hospital - so, hopefully, I will be home, in under a week !! Time will tell, I guess.....
The big bummer, really... is not knowing just how long & just how much stuff, to take with me. If I get out, the following day - I only need a few things - but, if I'm stuck in there, for any number of days... well, I need to take more items !! It's the not knowing, that is the bummer part of it - nevermind !!
Going back to music - I treated myself to some second hand albums, care of our local "old" record shop..... if I remember them all, they are:
Dire Straits - 'Dire Straits' + 'Brothers In Arms' + 'Communique'
Aerosmith - 'Oh Yeah - Ultimate Aerosmith'
Hollywood Undead - 'Desperate Measures'
Velvet Underground - 'The Velvet Underground'
Iggy Pop - 'Power & Freedom'
Cheap Trick - 'At Budokan'
Jon Anderson - 'Animation' + Song Of Seven'
Jan Akkerman - Tabernakel'
Lou Reed - 'Lou Reed'
Little Steven - 'Voice Of America'
Bo Hanson - 'Magician's Hat'
The Byrds - 'Collection'
Faces - 'A Nod's As Good As A Wink'
Edgar Broughton Band - 'Oora'
I know for a fact, that I already own a few of these - either on tape or Cd.... but....."why did I buy them ?" - well, because I wanted them, I guess.... no other reason than that !!
Talking of going bankrupt - which kind of leads on, from buying stuff....
On Tuesday, I had a 'phone call, from a lovely lady - who quizzed me, about why I had "officially" (love that word !!) gone broke..... at the end of our conversation, she assured me, that was everything taken care of & that is that !!
I will remain "Officially Bankrupt" for 12 months - after that, if I'm still alive (I guess) I am allowed to do what I want..... until then, if my circumstances change, I have to notify them.... otherwise, I'm free to get on with my life !!
The whole thing - the whole going broke thingy - has been far less of an experience, then I expected !! Mind you - never having been here "here" before.... I didn't know what to expect !!
But - everybody has been sooooo very nice, about it all !! I guess, they've worked out, that I didn't do this deliberately & so, they've treated me really nicely !! From going to court, right thru' to the 'phone call, this week - it's been quite an eye opener !! I expected it to be far worse.....
One thing, that I was concerned about......
I've been buying stuff, for the house, for sooooo many years now, I didn't want to lose anything. It turns out - unless you have some really expensive stuff - which, believe me, we don't - you get to keep it all...... I half expected to lose it, to go towards my debts !! But - it won't - so.... that was a great relief !!
Sure - I did buy myself a new bit of kit, to record my tapes, over to Cd...... but, it turns out, that was "Ok" - so, I didn't need to worry about any of that..... !!
I do not recommend, that any of you go the same way, that I've gone...... but, I also don't recommend any of you spend 14 months, having surgery after surgery.... it's amazing how things turn out !!
Ok - 'Game Of Thrones' is just about finished, so I will think about getting some dishes washed & a few other things, that I ought to do.... preferably, before B gets home !!
So, with Hollywood Undead blasting out of the Bose - I will thank you all, for logging in & reading my words..... "HI" to you, over in Germany.... it's good to know you are all out there.... until next time...
