Greetings World's !!
It's a very warm Tuesday, here in Middle Earths South-West corner..... or I should say, England's South-West corner.... I found out, a little while back, that this part of the World - from 1000 - 1500 AD was known as 'Middle Earth'... which is kind of fitting really !! Oh well.... !!
Sooooo - first off, I'm sorry I've not posted anything, since last Thursday !! Sorry about that.. poor health & lack of time, well... it's all conspired to keep me away from the keyboard.
For whatever reason - I've struggled to get myself together.... sooooo - stick with me & I'll try & get myself into "posting" mode & write more often. It might happen... depending how I am, I guess !!
As for today - I'm home alone...
B & ME have gone up towards Street, to meet up with B's Cousin..... they get together, from time to time. I think ME went along, for the "retail therapy" type of thing - our Daughter sure loves to go shopping.
I'm not 100% sure when they will get home... some time down the road, I guess. When they get here... I guess that's the easiest way to look at it !!
The M & M's were here, on Saturday... I'll tell you more, about that visit, in a few weeks.... not yet tho' - I'm not allowed !! Just remind me, about it - in about a month or so.
Going back a few days - to Friday.....
B & I headed down to the little port of Watchet..... it's about 10-15 miles from here. I've always liked it - mainly as it has a steam train, running right thru' the centre of the town !!
Anyhoo - B has always wanted an old fashion sewing machine... an old Singer. Well.... long story, made short... I found out, about one, being for sale, in an antiques place, sooooo we went along, to try & find it !!
As it turned out - we found the shop - and now B is the happy owner of a 1910 Singer sewing machine !! She is well happy with it.... I'm glad I found it !! Considering it's age - it works really smooth... amazing really, for something over 100 years old !! Hell - I'm not that fit - and I ain't nowhere near as old - I just feel it !!
From there - we headed back, towards Taunton..... and as I wasn't feeling up to going to the record fair, on the Saturday, B let me loose in HMV !! A very silly thing to do.... but !!
I had a great 30 minutes - going up & down the rows... coming home, with the following !!

When my late Brother-In-Law was here... he said that the only way to enjoy 'Pretty Woman' was to hear it loud. I told him, that we had heard it, thru' the PA system, at a Rolling Stones concert - and asked if that was loud enough ?! He guessed it was !!
I must point a nod, to Chris Squire, who passed away on June 27th from a form of Leukemia. He had to be one of those "underrated" bass players, that people tend to forget about, when giving their favourites list. I'm not really sure, just how old he was.... but, it's a sad loss to the whole music World !!
Add to his loss... the people killed, in Tunisia. I personally feel that IS can kiss my hairy butt hole, before I would feel like giving into them !! But - shooting innocent people, on a beach !! The guy must of felt really brave.... the fucking jerk !!
Right - I must go..... I have a bed, all set up & waiting for me to return.....

Yoda lives !!
Hi again everyone !!
It's another Thursday, here in England... I guess where you live & when you read these words, it could be any day of the week. Of course, for those of you reading, in your own little Universe, it could even be another year or two, before you find this dribble !! Nevermind...
I'm home alone, at the moment.... B is helping ME with a little bit of decorating. I spoke with her, only a few minutes back & they're waiting for something to dry, while watching a problem, from last night's TV.
It's about some really vicious cats - and their dumb owners !! Never show a cat, that you're afraid of it - you have too much skin to give away...
Right - going back, to yesterday...
The man came, to service the stairlift chair thingy, that I have. He was really brilliant !! Not only did he arrive, pretty much, on time - he was helpful, by telling me about what he was doing & stuff like that. It did cost the best part of £100 - so, I guess I won't be eating quite so much, over the coming weeks, to pay for it !! Ho-hum... only joking....
.... I ate two days ago, sooooo - that will last me, into next week !! I've actually eaten two big (for me) meals this past week... so, I'm going to be living off of that, for at least a day or so.
B has just 'phoned. She was going to the bank, today... however, she has left the wallet, here on the table - sooooo, she is going to have to come home & collect it, before doing the whole cash/bank thingy - oops.
I'm guessing, that she is a little mad about that !! It's only a short trip, back from town - but, it would of been better, if she had taken the wallet with her !! As I said "oops !!"
As usual - the TV news is playing silently, over to my left. They're talking about child poverty... and how, children being raised in a home, which has an income, of below a certain percentage of the National Living Wage (or something) are considered to being raised in poverty !!
For crying out loud Mr Government man - get your ass, out of the South-East & look at the way the farm workers etc etc are being paid !! Honestly - there are workers, in this area, who would give their back teeth, for just a few £'s a week more, to live off.... bloody politicians !!

A few days back - maybe last week, I can't honestly remember - the M & M's put together a DVD called 'The Other One'.... it's about Bob Weir & is really a good bit of TV !! I do not often, get to watch stuff like that - but, thank's to M... !!
I taken a short to long break, as B & ME came over, to collect the wallet... and have some lunch. Poor B had paint all over her butt, where she had gone up against a wall of wet stuff !! Oh well - they've gone now... sooooo, the music is back up to just below deafening & I'm wondering what to do next ?!
I must crack on & sort out some more of the Cd's.... I've sorted out the stack, that was on the table - but there are still a few shelves left, that need to be gone thru' !! I will get it all done, at some point - it's just taking a while, that's all.
I think I'm up to & past the 3000 mark.... sooooo - with all of the Zeppelin & Allman Brothers still to do, I will certainly go beyond the 4000 !! We actually started with just 3 albums... and that was it...
We had bought the first of the many Cd players - and then worked out, we didn't have anything to play on it !! So - with a mate, I went into Taunton & came home with:

Deep Purple 'The Best Of'
& Bruce Springsteen's 'Tunnel Of Love'
From there - well... it all went down hill !! My own fault - as most of the time, I'm trying to pick up Cd replacements, to the old vinyl albums.... a never ending task !! Oh well..... life goes on & so must I.

".....and so my watch begins..."
Greetings !!
It's the middle of the night - well, actually, it's a little after 10am.... it just feels really dumb & early !! But - today is, kind of, a special day !! My stairlift thingy is due to have it's first service, in 2 years !!
Sooooo - because I'm expecting a man, in a van, to come.... I'm up bright & early, in order to be "eyes wide open" when he gets here.... I want to see what he does, then next time, I can do it all myself !! Today's visit - well, that's going to cost me about £75.... so, I don't want to be doing this too often !!
Of course - if you go back a few weeks or so, you will read about how I was waiting for the same guy, to get here.... for a whole day !! In the end - well, I told the office he was too late & he would have to re-book. I don't mind, if I set up a visit, if the guy is an hour late - but, last time !!
As for the family...
Well, B is upstairs, doing a bit of housework..... not quite exactly sure where - I mean which room she is in ?! Heck - there are only 4... sooooo - she won't be overly long, I guess.
Oh staying with the family - today is the first day, that we start buying our Daughter's little car.... if she still wants to sell it, that is !! ME wants to change hers, next year... and B really wants to buy her old one, so today is the start of all of that.
There is no way, that I'm paying out for it, in one hit - so... my plan is to give ME so much per month, then - when she is ready, we'll take her car on. It is a nice car.... and our old banger won't last too many more years. It's now in it's 20's - and it has served us well.... I just don't think it's going to last much longer !!
I see, that the Queen is in Germany, as I type !! Bless her cotton socks !! It's going to be a real bummer, when Charles takes over, him & his carthorse !! Why can't we skip a generation or two & go straight to baby George ?! At least the kid has charisma..... something Charles will never have !! Oh well - that's going to get me a slagging !!

Well - as you all know, I've been going thru' the Cd's... trying to label them all up, incase my next flying visit to the hospital, results in a slow drive to Lyme Regis !! One of the Cd's is an orchestrated Pink Floyd greatest hits type thing. It's kind of weird... but, very soothing, given how early it is !!

Right - I must go.... for now, at least. I've nothing to do, but... I may as well, spend the rest of the day, not doing it !!

Go 'Interstellar' Life is good !! Ho-hum
Hi everybody !!
Have you all missed me ? Why not !! I'm sorry, it's been another 6 days, since I last posted anything... once again, the old health has taken control, bit of a bummer really.
I don't rightly know, where things went wrong this time. I just remember feeling like total crap, from about Friday onwards !! Tho' - Friday was a bit of fun..... to explain.
I am supposed to go down to the Dr's 3 times a week... the dreaded dressings change. But - last week, my Dr. was keen to see me, as my infection levels had gone skyrocketing again. Sooooo - while B was visiting the surgery, on the Thursday - she asked for an appointment, for me to see my Dr. on the Friday.
The receptionist, basically told B to go away - as the appointments, for the Friday had to be booked, via a 'phone call, on the Friday !! This really pissed me off - the Dr wanted to see me - yet the receptionist, for the 2nd time, with-in a week, had refused to give me an appointment !!
The previous week - I had a blood test - on the Wednesday - and that was followed, by a 'phone call, on the Thursday, from the same receptionist, saying the Dr wanted to see me. I asked, as I was going to be in the surgery, on the Friday anyways, if I could have an appointment at the same time.
Believe it, or not - the lady, with no medical training, was telling me, unless it was an emergency, I couldn't see the Dr !! Get this - she 'phones me, to tell me that the Dr needs to see me - and then asked me if it was an emergency !!
Honestly - I have had enough of the place anyways - going down there, week after week, for the best part of 2 years... with-out a bloody a receptionist pissing me off !!
I got my own back tho'...
On the actual Friday (last week) I got hold of the practice manager & complained... followed, by having the nurse lock the Dr out of the treatment room !! They always lock the door anyways - but when the Dr came to see me, I told him to go away.... if he wants to see me, he can make an appointment, when it's convenient to me !!
So far, this week - I have cancelled yesterdays & tomorrows appointments, due to poor health....... I don't care anymore - my back is still an open wound - but... !! I have had enough - to the point, where I am seriously thinking about other options !!
This Dr's is handy, but.... I've become to old & ugly over the years, to put up with a little 2nd World War Guard, dictating when I will see a Dr !! Fuck 'em all I say..... !!

As I type - I'm home alone. B has gone down to a meeting - actually to do with the Dr's Surgery !! She goes, about once a month - so, today should be an interesting time for her !! She'll be back in about 2 hours or so... depending on how things go, I guess.
As for the other members of the Clan...
Well, I'm very pleased to say the M & M's were here on Sunday, for a visit during Father's Day. It was really great to see them.... I love my kids - I really do - sooooo to see the guys on Sunday, well.... If I tell you that neither of my Sons, sent any kind of wishes......!!
To be fair - my oldest has had very little to do with me, anyhoo - so not hearing from him, well, that was a given anyways. As for J - he has his life & that's all there is to it really.
I was thinking, as far as J is concerned, "that's strike 2" but, I shouldn't think like that !! I guess it depends when "strike 3" happens..... moving on - or back, to Sunday.
B gave me a really funny book....'A Travel Guide To The Seven Kingdoms Of Westeros' - it's really brilliant !! If - like me, you enjoy 'Game Of Thrones' - it's a perfect companion !! B - bless you & thank you !!
The M & M's gave me a fantastic remote control car, which climbs walls, windows & stuff like that.... there are sooooo many places, that I want to try it out..... it's brilliant, in the bedroom - it fly's around the big wall, like it's a Bee on heat !! Thank you guys !!
As for the music of the moment - I'm still on a Nightwish 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' kick... today, I'm playing the vinyl album. It would be so much easier, to play the Cd - but !! The album has grown & grown on me... go & get yourself a copy !!
I'm not going to write out another track listing, I've done that already - so, go & check out an earlier post...... Hopefully, after they finish their tour, they might get around to releasing another 'live' Cd !! That would be good....
I'm not going to mention any names... but.....
B & I have been cracking up, at a guy who has appeared on one of the many 'Facebook' pages, trying to sell his various collections of toys. The guy is about 40 (I guess) and, he really has no clue, as to what
he's doing !!
One minute, he wants someone to help him, to loan a van... the next, he wants that person to drive the van. He has a hall, in the town where he lives, now the hall is 5 miles from the town !! Also - now... he wants the person, to drive him, to & fro' the hall...3 times a week !! It is sooooo funny.... it's really kind of sad, how he thinks people are going to fall for this !!
It's easy for me to say... I've done the whole college thing, just a few years back... but, this is crazy !! You don't tell people, just how much you paid for a toy, then expect them to pay 4 times that amount !! Crazy - crazy - CRAZY ..... but, very funny !!
Right - the last side of the album is playing now, so I better think about packing this away, for today & getting on with my various bit & bobs. Having been sat here, collecting dust, for over a week... I really must do these Cd's on the computer table !!

I was thinking, as far as J is concerned, "that's strike 2" but, I shouldn't think like that !! I guess it depends when "strike 3" happens..... moving on - or back, to Sunday.
B gave me a really funny book....'A Travel Guide To The Seven Kingdoms Of Westeros' - it's really brilliant !! If - like me, you enjoy 'Game Of Thrones' - it's a perfect companion !! B - bless you & thank you !!
The M & M's gave me a fantastic remote control car, which climbs walls, windows & stuff like that.... there are sooooo many places, that I want to try it out..... it's brilliant, in the bedroom - it fly's around the big wall, like it's a Bee on heat !! Thank you guys !!
As for the music of the moment - I'm still on a Nightwish 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' kick... today, I'm playing the vinyl album. It would be so much easier, to play the Cd - but !! The album has grown & grown on me... go & get yourself a copy !!
I'm not going to write out another track listing, I've done that already - so, go & check out an earlier post...... Hopefully, after they finish their tour, they might get around to releasing another 'live' Cd !! That would be good....
I'm not going to mention any names... but.....
B & I have been cracking up, at a guy who has appeared on one of the many 'Facebook' pages, trying to sell his various collections of toys. The guy is about 40 (I guess) and, he really has no clue, as to what
he's doing !!
One minute, he wants someone to help him, to loan a van... the next, he wants that person to drive the van. He has a hall, in the town where he lives, now the hall is 5 miles from the town !! Also - now... he wants the person, to drive him, to & fro' the hall...3 times a week !! It is sooooo funny.... it's really kind of sad, how he thinks people are going to fall for this !!
It's easy for me to say... I've done the whole college thing, just a few years back... but, this is crazy !! You don't tell people, just how much you paid for a toy, then expect them to pay 4 times that amount !! Crazy - crazy - CRAZY ..... but, very funny !!
Right - the last side of the album is playing now, so I better think about packing this away, for today & getting on with my various bit & bobs. Having been sat here, collecting dust, for over a week... I really must do these Cd's on the computer table !!

"It's all makes perfect sense"...... Ho-hum.
Hi Again World's !!
I've just worked out - it's been 6 days, since I last put finger to keypad.... sorry about that !! The last time I posted, I knew it was going to be a couple of days - I didn't expect 6 tho' !!
I have a good excuse tho' - I have spend most of the last few days, stuck in bed, or very close to it. I have picked up another infection & it has knocked me completely sideways. Of course - being poorly is one thing.... But - we have had a very, very hot week, here in England's South-West corner & feeling like crap - well, I could of used a little bit of cool air, just to make things feel a little more comfortable !!
Anyhoo - enough of how crap I feel..... 'The Family' !!
Yesterday afternoon, our Daughter ME came over for a visit...... thankfully, she is on a few days break !! I often worry about her - even tho' she is all grown up - about how much work she does & the hours she & her partner M, put in. When they have time off, at least they re-charge the old batteries a bit !!
So - while she was here, the 2 ladies in my life ME & My Wife & Dearest Friend... B.... decided they would have a bit of a shopping trip - one of my Daughter's favourite was of slowing down... so to speak !!
With all of that, in mind - B left here around 9 this morning & the 2 of them are heading up to Bristol. I was offered the chance of going - but, to be honest, the thought of going around the shops, today, after feeling poorly all thru' the week...... well, it wasn't something that appealed !!
I don't mind, it means, after writing these few words - I can sit down & watch the last episode of Season 5 of 'Game Of Thrones' !! Ok - I have watched it a couple of times, already.... but, that's beside the point !! It's been a great Season, even if there were a few plot changes & twists, but... !!
As for the music of the moment....

The Who.. 'Monterey Pop Festival 1967'
Hi again World's !!
I've only just realised, that I've not written anything since Monday !! It's time to take me out-back & give me a good whacking.... well, maybe not !!
Sooooo - it's another Friday & I've just come back, from having the last of this weeks torture sessions.... better known as a dressings change !! I suppose, if I was really sad enough, I could work out exactly how many times, I've had the bloody (literally) things changed !! I mean - it's been a n average of 3 times a week - for the last 2 years..... go figure, there is a number in there some place !!
Nevermind....
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend, B is behind me, in the kitchen, doing some dishes. In a while, she is going to start baking again - sooooo, she is starting with a clean slate & getting everything put away, ready for the new dishes, when the baking has been done.
I think there are going to be some small fruit cakes, followed by some cookies, of some description. The last ones - well, they were really good... so, hopefully, this new batch will come up, to the same high standard !! B's baking is always great..... I have to admit !!
Oh - talking about cooking...
In the week, we decided to have some sausages.... a new brand, to us at least. They were really awful - we couldn't eat them, they were that bad !! I said to B - we should send off a complaint... but, there is very little to gain, from doing all of that. We will know, next time, to buy something we know about !!
Going back, to the family..
In a while, our Daughter ME is coming over, for a while..... she has a day off, today & has decided to come & see us !! She came over on Tuesday, but it's always great to see her !! My little ray of Sunlight !!
As for the music of the moment - I'm playing Cd 3 of the Monterey Pop 1967 box set. It's meant to be a complete set - by the various groups - but, I don't think all of the Jefferson Airplane tracks are on the thing.
I can only work, from the old film - which I've not watched, in far too many Moons.... but, I think there is at least one track absent, nevermind. The tracks, by JA, are:
1) Somebody To Love
2) The Other Side Of Me
3) White Rabbit
4) High Flyin' Bird
5) She Has Funny Cars
Towards the end of the Cd - there are a few tracks, from The Who's set... those are:
1) Substitute
2) Summertime Blues
3) Picture Of Lily
4) A Quick One, While He's Away
5) Happy Jack
6) My Generation
Eric Burdon, does the intro - which is kind of weird. I mean, The Who were a far bigger band, as far as this country was concerned.... yet, in America, Mr Burdon was the better known act !! Oh well..... times have moved on & that's for sure !!
Right, my plans, for today.....
Well, I'm still working my ways, thru' all of the Cd's..... I've done a shed load of them, already... but, there are still several 100's still to do !! It's all good - they will get looked at, in one way or another, over the coming weeks !!
For now tho' - as it feels like my back is going to break open & cause all kinds of problems, I will go up & lay on the bed, for a while. If nothing else - just laying, flat out - it helps to ease the pain, as I say, for a while at least !!
Plus - the morphine, that I've just taken, will help !! At life grand.... oh, that reminds me !!
On Tuesday, I went & saw my Dr. - as the back was hurting sooooo much.... well, more than normal. On Wednesday, I had a blood test done, to check my infection levels. They should be down, to below 20.... but - and this is the kicker - even tho' I've been on anti bio-tics, over the last few weeks, the levels have gone up, to over 100 again !! Great stuff !!
It's Ok - as B says... just because it's gone up, it doesn't have to mean, that my back wound has got worse. It could well be something else - I'm not sure what, but.... !! Time will tell, I guess !!
I must go.... 'Happy Jack' is playing.... how The Who went from playing overblown "pop" tunes, like this, to filling out stadiums, in the 1970's - well.... it's beyond me !! I must go....

Status Quo & other naked thoughts.. Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
It's a very warm Monday - here in England's South-West corner.... looking out thru' the living room window, the sky is blue & the beach - way over - in the distance, looks really great, with the Sun reflecting off the sand.... a great day to be alive !!
If I could only stop my blooming back, from hurting as bad as it does, at the moment... well, that's another thing !! I had my dressings changed, this morning... well, it's still hurting & there is nothing I can do, about that !! Other than take some more morphine.... there is only sooooo much I can take, in one "hit" with-out going completely flaky !! Nevermind...........
As I type, B is behind me, in the kitchen, cooking up some cookies - chocolate chip, I think.... so, in a short while, the whole house will smell of that fresh baked smell !!
I think she is cutting back, on the amount of chips, she is putting in. The recipe' calls for 400 gm - which, even by our standards, is a bit too much !! Oh well.... I will let you know, how things turn out - I love the taste of fresh backed stuff !!
As for the rest of the family...
The M & M's were here, over the weekend - Saturday afternoon, I think. I honestly can't remember !! They stayed for an hour or so - as always, it's great to see them. When they get home, today - they will find a little surprise, on their door-mat. I'm not going to say, exactly what.... it will be a little surprise !!
As for J - well, that's all quiet, on the Western Wales front... to use a play on a film's name !! I can't keep on, e-mailing him... I've not got the fight in me, anymore - I've given up. What happened last week, well - that was one step too far, for me, at least.

When I had my first car - with a really crap stereo, which I put in.... well, I bought loads of pre-recorded cassettes. I mentioned before, about buying the first 3 albums, by Queen....... well, I also bought practically every album, I could find, by the mighty Quo !!
I would play the tapes to death - not just in the car, but on the Sony tape deck, that I bought along, with my first really expensive hi/fi set up. The old Wharfedale speakers - well, they are still here, blasting out, between the Bose !!
I kept them safe - incase J wanted them, one day.... yep..... !! It might happen, one day - it's got to be when he wants them, I guess !! They do give out a really great bass tho' - thru' their 12 inch speakers !!
Moving on......
I spoke with my friend, a little while back. Hopefully my little 'phone calls cheer him up, just a bit !! For once - I really do know, how he is feeling, having been thru' the same sort of thing, many, many Moons ago..... keep smiling my friend !!
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day.... bugger all really !!
I do have a couple (5) piles of Cd's to work my ways thru' - but, I can't be dealing with them, tonight !! Tomorrow, morning, B has a friend coming over, to have a chatter & put the World to rights. So - while they are having a natter, I'll either stay in bed, or i will start on the Cd's. Time will tell, on that one.....
For now tho' - I will be on my ways. As always, I thank you for logging in & for reading my words !! I still think you should find something better, to do with your time.... no, I'm only joking !! I must go - I think I've said that already... until next time...

The Mini Egg & Black Betty.. Ho-hum !!
Hail & Greetings !!
It's a warm - actually hot !! - Friday, here in England.... B has just dropped me off, at the front door & she is now heading towards town. On a Friday - over the past few weeks, she has been attending a carer's meeting..... to learn new stuff & have a chat about this that & the other.
So - apart from the odd cat, I'm home alone !! The music is turned down to deafening & I'm sat here, with the windows drawn. Two reasons for that:
A) To try & keep the Sun out - with the curtains across, the living room stays cooler &
B) One of our neighbours - quite a nice one, I must add - has a tendency, to look out of her bedroom window, across the yard & into our house !! That's no biggy - but, I could do with out her, looking in on me, today !!
I have just come back, from the Dr's surgery..... I can not fully explain, what is going on.... but, my wound seems to be really playing up. It's not massively bad - but, it's not healing up, as well as we had hoped - leaving me, in just a bit of pain again !!
All the way, down to the Dr's - I told B, that I hoped there would be no one new, changing the dressings - I couldn't really face, having someone, who doesn't know me (or me them) looking at my back today. Thankfully, it was the usual Friday nurse - so that was a relief !!
Because things have got slightly worse, she has recommended, that I have the dressings changed, every day !! That is something I'm not too keen on, but - we'll see how things go, from Monday onwards. It's bad enough, having the wound cleaned, 3 times a week.... I'm not really sure, that I want to go thru' it all, every day of the week !!
Heck - 2 years ago, now... I was stuck in the hospital, having things done to me, every hour - or so it seemed - sooooo, having the dressings changed every day, shouldn't be too much of a problem. I just have to load up with pain-killers, before I let anyone touch it !! Ah - just like the old days !! Moving on...
We had a bit of sad news, yesterday....
A guy, who I've known, for many, many Moons 'phoned up...... his Wife has walked out, on him, after a shed load of years - he is completely devastated !!
Having gone thru' a very similar experience, myself - well.... I know the feelings, that he is having to deal with. Bless him.... I'm going to call him again, in a few days - to make sure he is Ok. He lives about 40+ miles away - but, we've both told him, if he needs to - he can come & stay with us, for a while - until he feels a bit better.
Right.... the family...
Well, I've already mentioned, that My Wife & Dearest Friend has gone into town.... as for the rest of the clan - well, ME is probably working & J... well, he could be anywhere !! He upset me, a lot, last week... so, I'm trying not to let him get to me, for now at least !! Time will tell, on that one... I guess..... !!
As for the music of the moment...
I was going to put the Nightwish Lp, back on the deck... mainly to play 'The Greatest Show On Earth' which takes up the whole of Side 4 of the 2 Lp set. It's a great piece of music - on Cd... well good - on Lp..... even better !!
Professor Richard Dawkins does the spoken parts & with the whole orchestration & choir, well - as I said a few seconds ago - well good !! Tuomas Holopainen's lyrics are brilliant, for example:

Anyhoo - I'm not playing the album.... I'm listening to the Mini Egg (iPod) thru' Black Betty (iPod station).... with the intention of playing as much of 'Project 87' as I can !! With my friend's Wife walking out - it brought back some memories & 'Project 87' has been dug out of it's semi-retirement, just to give it a bit of a blasting !!
Right - I think, when B gets home... a little later, we're both going into town, to do some shopping. It might get left, until tomorrow. After coming home, from the surgery, feeling like crap - well.... the pain has eased a bit, so a trip out might be good. I'll see how things go, as I say, a little latter.
For now tho' - I must do some dishes !! Sooooo - as always, I thank you for logging in & reading my words. I might write some more, over the weekend - but that will depend on how thing go, I guess.... until next time...

It's a warm - actually hot !! - Friday, here in England.... B has just dropped me off, at the front door & she is now heading towards town. On a Friday - over the past few weeks, she has been attending a carer's meeting..... to learn new stuff & have a chat about this that & the other.
So - apart from the odd cat, I'm home alone !! The music is turned down to deafening & I'm sat here, with the windows drawn. Two reasons for that:
A) To try & keep the Sun out - with the curtains across, the living room stays cooler &
B) One of our neighbours - quite a nice one, I must add - has a tendency, to look out of her bedroom window, across the yard & into our house !! That's no biggy - but, I could do with out her, looking in on me, today !!
I have just come back, from the Dr's surgery..... I can not fully explain, what is going on.... but, my wound seems to be really playing up. It's not massively bad - but, it's not healing up, as well as we had hoped - leaving me, in just a bit of pain again !!
All the way, down to the Dr's - I told B, that I hoped there would be no one new, changing the dressings - I couldn't really face, having someone, who doesn't know me (or me them) looking at my back today. Thankfully, it was the usual Friday nurse - so that was a relief !!
Because things have got slightly worse, she has recommended, that I have the dressings changed, every day !! That is something I'm not too keen on, but - we'll see how things go, from Monday onwards. It's bad enough, having the wound cleaned, 3 times a week.... I'm not really sure, that I want to go thru' it all, every day of the week !!
Heck - 2 years ago, now... I was stuck in the hospital, having things done to me, every hour - or so it seemed - sooooo, having the dressings changed every day, shouldn't be too much of a problem. I just have to load up with pain-killers, before I let anyone touch it !! Ah - just like the old days !! Moving on...
We had a bit of sad news, yesterday....
A guy, who I've known, for many, many Moons 'phoned up...... his Wife has walked out, on him, after a shed load of years - he is completely devastated !!
Having gone thru' a very similar experience, myself - well.... I know the feelings, that he is having to deal with. Bless him.... I'm going to call him again, in a few days - to make sure he is Ok. He lives about 40+ miles away - but, we've both told him, if he needs to - he can come & stay with us, for a while - until he feels a bit better.

'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' on vinyl !!
Hi World's !!
It's a Wednesday, here in England's South-West corner.... I've only been awake, fro an hour - sooooo, I'm not firing on all thrusters, as Dr McCoy would say !! Nether mind - I didn't have the best of nights, not getting to sleep, until gone 1am this morning !! Mind you - as I haven't posted anything, since last week, well, I've had a shit few days really !!
To be honest - to use another "Star Trek" phrase.... "I've come millions of miles - sorry thousands of miles, to get here", this morning... so, I better get on with it & tell you about the last few days !! Where to begin....
Actually - it's not been that hard... it just feels like it !! I have struggled, with the shit, that our Son J wrote, last week..... it really has got to me !! I'm sick & I know, that I shouldn't let things play on my mind.... but, what can I say - he's my Son, I love all of my children & I worry about them !!
Ok - one of my Sons is thousands of miles away & I've had next to no contact, with him, over the last 30 years..... but, he is still my Son & I love him, just not in a way that I can quantify !!
Then there is ME - our beautiful & special Daughter. I love her & her partner M.... in more ways than they will ever know !! That just leaves our Son - J.... and, I can not stop loving him, even tho' some times, I wish I could.
Maybe, one day - if he reads these words - or if he reaches my age, he will look back & think a little kinder, on his old man. It's pretty doubtful..... but, by then, I will be long dead & dusted.... sooooo, I will never truly know, how things will turn out.
That was a very "dark" way, to start off a post !! I best move on, to B - My Wife & Dearest Friend !!
As I type, she is behind me... having spent a fair portion, of the morning, baking in the kitchen. The whole house smells of fresh baked cakes !! Now - she is sat, over to my left, waiting for the oven timer, to go off & welcome a new batched of warm, fresh baking !!
Of course, she has been up & out of bed, for a while now - not like me, who really is a lazy toad, in the mornings !! As I said, above - I have only been awake for an hour. I wish things were different, in the mornings !! However, the pills, that I take - in the wee hours, knock me sideways & until I can get off of those, well..... I'll just have to live with being tardy. Oh well......
Our NFH - well... we've been coming up, with a few comments, over the last few days !!
She is having some solar panels, put up on the roof & we think it's keep her waterbed warm, or to keep an electric fence, between her Husband herself.... for his own safety, at least !! Honestly - our neighbours comments, well - they have been far, far worse !!
I know solar is a re-new-able source, but, they really look bad !! I'm all for keeping the Earth.... but, come on - these panels look really bad !! Not as bad, as the NFH - but.... nothing could look that bad !!

Well, I'm very, very happy to announce, that the Nightwish album 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' has reached me, in the shape of a 2 Lp picture disc..... as I type - I'm playing the whole of Side 4 'The Greatest Show On Earth'. It not only looks good - it sounds brilliant !!
The tracks, well - they are the same, as the Cd version, but, here they are anyhoo. Starting with Side A:

Of course - I'm bias...having fallen in love with Nightwish, just around the time of their 'Once' album.....
........ from there, well, I bought everything I could lay my hands on. It didn't matter who was singing, they really have never let me down, with each album.... they still amaze !!
Also - slightly more amazing.... is the fact, that B didn't quite knock my head off, when she saw I had also ordered the 2 singles, on Cd !! Having bought them, a week or two back, on 10 inch coloured vinyl. This ways, I don't run the risk of messing up the coloured discs. The tracks are the same.... sooooo - why not !! It all adds to the collection..... !!
Bless her - B knows I love my music... so, she lets me get away with a one heck of a lot !! The only time, that she said "No" - well, that was some back, when i was offered a 20 disc Cd collection by Page & Plant...... mind you, it was £450 !!
Nevermind.....
As mentioned before - I'm gradually going thru' all of the Cd's - trying to put them, into some kind of order. It's been a long time coming - having started the list, oh - at least 5 years ago !! It has been an eye opener tho' !!
For example - last night, I found out, I had 15 or 16 David Bowie Cd's !! I knew I had the odd one or two.... but, not 15 or 16 !! Plus - I found 2 Lou Reed Cd's.... collecting dust and - much to my surprise, a 2 Cd live set, by Lindisfarne !! I didn't realise, that I even had any Cd's by Lindisfarne, let alone a live set !! Ah - the magic of clearing the shelves & going thru' everything....
To be honest - being so sick, just before Easter, was a "wake up" call. had I died then, nobody hetre, would of known what was on the shelves.... this way, if I get that sick again, there will be a list, for B to work thru' !! I hope it will help.... ?!
Right - my plans for the rest of the day.....
I have to go down to the local Dr's surgery, very soon, to have my dressings changed again !! It really has got quite painful - well, on Monday it was !! There are times, that I think it will soon be all over & done with - then, out of the blue, things start to hurt & I take a backward step !! Nevermind - it will give me something to look forward to - after 2 years of this, I really am getting pissed off, with the whole thing !!
Oh well.... must go..... things to do, even if it all come down, to watching last Monday's episode of 'Game Of Thrones'. It had one of the best battle scenes, I have ever seen on the programme !! Maybe, just maybe, I will list up a few more Cd's..... I will decided later on... must go.
