Hi again everybody !!
It's a very warm Saturday, here in England...... altho' it's overcast & the Sun is in hiding, it's still one of the warmest days of the month, sooooo far that is !! The grockles, are all heading home - the kids all go back to school, this coming week...... so the South-West of England will no longer be full & over crowded !! Life is good.....
Many years ago - before the motorways came this far South-West... the roads used to be full to over capacity & the traffic to used to jam right up, for mile after mile. People who live around here, will probably remember those days.
Anyways - for fun, one day - somebody put a sign up, beside the road..... "Sorry - South-West Full". It was a really well written sign, almost like an official thingy !! I don't know, exactly what happened - if people turned around, but it made the TV news that night !! Oh - the fun we had !!
Right - it's a Saturday !! B is behind me, in the kitchen, munching a small bit of 'Ginger Cake' - which she made a short while ago....... it's still warm & the smell is brilliant !! A short while back, she took a piece over to one of our neighbours, along with a packet of plums, from our tree. Some years, we hardly have any plums - then, this year, we have loads of them !! Oh well...... we will no doubt have some fresh plum jam, very soon !!
A little earlier, we started on sorting out the loft & managed to tidy up a number of bags.... mostly soft toys, that belong to our Daughter, ME. At some point, they will go from here, over to the M & M's house..... maybe they can put them in their loft.
It's amazing really.... just by going up & clearing the bags, around the loft entrance, we've really sorted out a big space already !! That was our plan, at least - that's what we hoped would happen !! There are sooooo many bags & boxes, up there, that just need to be sorted & tidied away....... in order to make a whole bit more room & what have you !!
By the time, that we've worked our ways, from the entrance, a ways to the back of the loft, hopefully, there will be less clutter & more sense to everything !! B pointed out, there are bags of curtains & cloth, all of which is not being used, at all - so, they might as well be thrown away..... time will tell on that one, I guess !!
Oh well..... we only did a small bit, today.... but, it's all going to help, in the long run !! Even if it takes a few weeks to go through everything !!
Now - I'm sat here, listening to music & B has gone upstairs, to do some work, in her craft room..... I think we've both had enough of the loft, for today at least !!
As I type - I'm listening to the soundtrack Cd of season 5 of 'Game Of Thrones' - it's really good - especially the 2 tracks that cover the 'Hardholm' section of the episodes !! Well good..... try & get yourself a copy, if you can.... it goes well, with the other 4 soundtracks, of the previous seasons !!
I won't bother listing the tracks - mainly as I want to give you the tracks, that are on a DVD, that came - either yesterday or the day before..... I can't remember. Anyhoo - it's the DVD of the Allman Brothers '40th Anniversary Concert' from March 26th 2009.... it's well good !!

The Dentist 2015 Pt. 1 Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
How are you all spinning this fine day ?! I hope your bit of the Universe is treating you well.... not too hot, not too cold - right there in your own little Goldilocks zone. It's pretty good here, where I am....
I've only just woken up - after, what for me was a late night !! The pills I'm on at the moment, do not love , me & they have a tendency, to make me feel like crap - hence, I was awake, quite late last night. Nevermind.....
It's another Thursday, here in England's South-West corner...... looking out of the window, it's quite bright, tho' the Sun is tucked up, behind some cloud cover..... it's all good. Considering the rain, that we've had recently - it's quite warm today.... makes a change I
guess !!
Right - it's mid-morning, here.... and I'm home alone. B has gone into town, for one of her carer's meetings. They happen once a month, sooooo - she needs to go really. Besides, in a couple of weeks, she is going on a trip, with the group & today, she had to pay her share of the travelling cost !! It's only £10 - so no biggy there !!
She will be home, in about an hour or so...... in the meantime, I've got a bit of led Zeppelin blasting out of the Bose !! It's the bonus disc, that came with the remastered Cd's - the latest ones..... that Mr Page seems sooooo very happy with.
They're a bit of a con really..... most of the stuff, has been available, on bootleg, for years - the rest.... well, it's just studio run thru's & hardly worth the Cd that they are printed on !! It's all good - just a bit of a let down....
However - in the post yesterday, I received a copy of the soundtrack, to Season 5 of 'Game Of Thrones' !! The tracks are:

Right, back to yesterday.... we went to the dentist, again !! For me - it was the first time, this year.... mainly as I've been stuck in hospital, for a couple of my appointments & had to miss them !! It's all good tho' - I can now sit back & await my course of treatment, which starts next week..... !!
Poor B tho' !! My Wife & Dearest Friend hates the dentist & I held onto her, while the guy was doing her treatment.... bless her !! I guess we're chalk & cheese - she hates going, I don't mind..... as I told the guy, yesterday, I've had far worse done to me, over the last couple of years !!
My treatment starts next Friday... so, that should be fun.... I will keep you posted !! I just want to get it over with, before going back into hospital again..... that would be good, to get it all done, in the next week or two.... time will tell, I guess.
The village has had a bit of really bad news !! The main employer, a dairy place, at the bottom end of the place... well, it's lost it's main contract & is stopping production, next January !! That will put a few - about 70 - jobs at risk & upset a fair few families here & about !!
It won't directly have a big knock on, for B & myself.... but, a few neighbours will certainly suffer !! Hopefully, it will not be too bad for them all - tho'.... having up to 70 people, out of work, in a village this size, in one go..... that's not so good !!
Right - I better go..... I need a bit more beauty sleep..... I really am knackered this morning.... not so good !! B will be home soon, sooooo that will wake me up !!

'JCS' and other old stuff....
Greetings World's !!
How are you all getting along - this very wet & horrid Tuesday !! Here in England's South-West corner, it's really nasty outside !!
Unfortunately - I have to go out, to the local Dr's surgery, this afternoon - in itself, not something I'm looking forward to.... but, in the rain as well !! Not so good !!
Anyhoo - that's later....
As I type - I'm coming to the end of the Allman Brothers 2014 box set. It's taken a few days - to play them all, all the ways thru'.... but, I've enjoyed it. To me - some of my least favourite of the band's "studio" tracks, have taken on a brand new appreciation - listening to them live !! More of that later....
As I type - B is sat to my left, watching a "crafting" programme, on TV. It's not something she usually enjoys - but, for once, I've got her to sit down & just enjoy the show, for what it is !! I think, we both agree - the stuff they try & sell, is very expensive.... but !!
I'm not sure how long she will put up with it - she finds the presenters, a bit of a joke..... mostly interested in selling their goods, rather than just showing things, how to do things, just for the sake of it. Oh well - nevermind.... life goes on !!
Actually - staying with the above - the programme has been on for less than 15 minutes & already, they've plugged to death, at least, 5 different products !! As I say - lets sell the stuff & bugger the rest of the show.....
As for buying stuff & going back to last night.....
B & I decided we would go to a different supermarket, to pick up a few things.... big mistake !! We came out, after picking up what we wanted & it came to £48 !! That's probably the reason we don't go there very often - way too expensive !!
I know, where we normally go, is not the best in the World - but, at least it's not that bad, cost wise.... too expensive & that's a fact !!
That was last night.... this morning, the postman has been & gone.... nothing for us today !! I had hoped to get a couple of Cd's.... but, nevermind - maybe tomorrow. I've a couple of Allman Brothers DVD's in the pipeline + a couple of Cd's.....
.. one of which, is the soundtrack to 'Game Of Thrones - Season 5' !! I'm really hoping that will be worthwhile.... the first 4 seasons, were really good - music wise, sooooo here's hoping for the latest Cd !! If nothing else, it'll be worth having in the collection....
I didn't get around to posting yesterday..... and staying with the whole "soundtrack" theme. In the post yesterday, I - at last - managed to get a copy of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' !!
Ok - I already have 3 copies - but, the one that came yesterday, is the original version !! I bought it, many, many years ago.... mainly as it has Ian Gillan on vocals, in the part of Jesus !!
Since selling most of the Lp collection - as you may already know, if you've read my words before - I've gradually picked up, lots of, the albums on Cd..... so, this is another one !! I know, I will never replace all of the Lp's actually onto Cd, but, it's fun finding the various things.
Of course - B is not completely understanding, when it comes to some of the replacements. I don't mean, she minds what I buy - but, she can't understand quite why I want the "deluxe" versions of various Cd's !! As I say - she has never stopped me buying anything..... well, once she did...... but, it's understanding exactly "why" I want certain Cd's !!
She did stop me getting a Page & Plant bootleg once..... but, it was £450 !! I didn't really want the thing (honestly).... but, her face, when I said how much it was !! There was a very firm "No" !!
That's life !! I think the most expensive album, that I bought, was £250 - that was about enough...... for me, as well as My Wife & Dearest Friend !!
Staying with yesterday....
I had a 'Battle Of Waterloo' medal reach me !! Ok - it's not for everybody.... but, it's all part of the collection, for my relations, down the years, whoever they might be !!
It's made of bronze, weighs an ounce & is numbered, as part of a limited edition. I know - there are 37,500 in the collection - but this one is numbered at around the 11,000 mark. I'm not too worried about that - it's just a nice thing, to hand down to someone.
Having been raised, in the shadow of Wellington Monument, here in the South-West of England..... and it's 200 years, since the battle, it was nice to get one of the medals !! Oh well..... !!
Staying with "older" things.....
Yesterday, I went thru' my older posts...... that was kind of weird, especially seeing how my writing style has changed, over the last 5 years !! From just saying what i was listening to & what the family were doing - all thru' the emotions, that I've felt, going thru' the various surgeries !! As I say - it was very weird !!
Right I must go - I have a few hings I want to do, before heading down to the Dr's...... nothing too brilliant, but !! Sooooo - as always, I thank you for taking the time, to log in & read my words.... as I've said, many times, over the last 5+ years... it's good to know you are "out there" . Grateful Dead & Gregg Allman... ho-hum...
Greetings !!
It's a really warm Saturday, here in England..... after several weeks of "not so nice" weather - the grockles seem to be heading towards home. The East bound road, this morning was full of them... all long faces & children, wondering why they have to go back to school
soon !!
Of course - they're not all tourist !! In among them, were people like us.... local loony tunes, realising that we should of given it a miss today & headed in to town, maybe later - or even Monday.......... nevermind !!
How is your part of the Universe treating you, this fine day.... which ever Universe you live in !! Some people theorise, that what we write here today, will one day, be read, listened to or puzzled over, in some distant place - millions of miles away from here !! Can you imagine - a being a couple of Sagan's away, reading my words ?! No neither can I..... but...... the Voyagers are on their ways - so.... why not ?!
Ok - enough of the madness... well, some of it at least..... !! As I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B.... well, she is upstairs, stitching together another bear, that she is making. It's a really furry thing - I know this, because, when she cut out the various bits for it - the living room grew a black/grey covering of fur, that stayed on the carpet, from the cloth that B was using !! The cats have been rolling around in it - they're really mad !!
Our oldest moggy, the ever present Smudge, is sat a short ways to my left.... he is getting to the point, where he always wants to be around us now. Sometimes, he can be a real pain.... but, what can you do ?! He's old & just likes to be with us - sooooo...... !!
It would be great, if we could teach them, to fetch & carry.... my back feels like crap, this past couple of days - so it would be good, if when I need something, they would go & get it for me !! That's as likely to happen, as these words being read by some form of alien life !!
Of course - I should say my back has felt like crap, this past couple of days + I mean alien life forms, not already on planet Earth....... you know who you are !!
I'm not really sure what the rest of the family are doing today.... I think B said she had missed a text from M..... not quite sure if I got that right or no. Heck - I'm still getting my head around what a text is, let alone what they say !!
I'm only joking.... I am an old Luddite... but, not actually owning a mobile 'phone, things like texts are a World away from where I am now !! Moving on....

I've been watching the F1 qualifying.... JB is at the back of the grid again !! It must be pretty frustrating for the team - 2 former World Champions and they can't get their cars anywhere near to the front of the grid !! How long this will go on, I've no idea - but, once I saw what was happening - the TV went onto silent & the music went up to 11 !! Oh well....
As mentioned above - we went into town earlier... mainly to get some good boxes, for all of the junk, in the spare room, that I have to dispose of. I'm keeping a "tab" on how much all of this is costing me.... I'm a tight sod, when I want to be.... !!
Besides - as I have sooooo much to get rid of, why shouldn't I keep an eye on how much this is costing ?! It's Ok, to say "get rid of it".... but, that all comes with a cost & hence, I'm keeping a "tab" - just to make sure I know, how much it's costing !! Today's boxes came to just shy of £30 - not the cheapest hobby in the World.... but... that's life !!

It's a really warm Saturday, here in England..... after several weeks of "not so nice" weather - the grockles seem to be heading towards home. The East bound road, this morning was full of them... all long faces & children, wondering why they have to go back to school
soon !!
Of course - they're not all tourist !! In among them, were people like us.... local loony tunes, realising that we should of given it a miss today & headed in to town, maybe later - or even Monday.......... nevermind !!
How is your part of the Universe treating you, this fine day.... which ever Universe you live in !! Some people theorise, that what we write here today, will one day, be read, listened to or puzzled over, in some distant place - millions of miles away from here !! Can you imagine - a being a couple of Sagan's away, reading my words ?! No neither can I..... but...... the Voyagers are on their ways - so.... why not ?!
Ok - enough of the madness... well, some of it at least..... !! As I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B.... well, she is upstairs, stitching together another bear, that she is making. It's a really furry thing - I know this, because, when she cut out the various bits for it - the living room grew a black/grey covering of fur, that stayed on the carpet, from the cloth that B was using !! The cats have been rolling around in it - they're really mad !!
Our oldest moggy, the ever present Smudge, is sat a short ways to my left.... he is getting to the point, where he always wants to be around us now. Sometimes, he can be a real pain.... but, what can you do ?! He's old & just likes to be with us - sooooo...... !!
It would be great, if we could teach them, to fetch & carry.... my back feels like crap, this past couple of days - so it would be good, if when I need something, they would go & get it for me !! That's as likely to happen, as these words being read by some form of alien life !!
Of course - I should say my back has felt like crap, this past couple of days + I mean alien life forms, not already on planet Earth....... you know who you are !!
I'm not really sure what the rest of the family are doing today.... I think B said she had missed a text from M..... not quite sure if I got that right or no. Heck - I'm still getting my head around what a text is, let alone what they say !!
I'm only joking.... I am an old Luddite... but, not actually owning a mobile 'phone, things like texts are a World away from where I am now !! Moving on....

It must be pretty frustrating for the team - 2 former World Champions and they can't get their cars anywhere near to the front of the grid !! How long this will go on, I've no idea - but, once I saw what was happening - the TV went onto silent & the music went up to 11 !! Oh well....

'Get Up, Stand Up' & a bad memory !!
Greetings World's !!
How are you all doing this fine - humid day ?! It's the end of another working week - here in England's South-West corner.... the roads are crowded & I am happy, just to be, here in the old homestead - well away from it all !!
As I type - I'm home alone.... B has gone over to the M & M's house. Bless them - they've had our ladder, for about a year & a bit.... but, I need it back now, mainly as I need to get some of my boxes, up into our loft.
Actually - the plan first, is to empty the loft right out. There are things, up there, that don't belong anymore & I want to have a good clear out, before putting anything else up there !! I don't think the M & M's will be overly happy with me, by the time I'm done.....
As I say, there are things up there, that shouldn't be up there & have been up there for a goodly number of years, a lot of which, are things that belong to ME & - as they now have some place to store things, themselves, well.... I'll be sending them some odds & ends, over the coming weeks !!
Sooooo - with stuff I'm throwing away & stuff I'm sending over to the M & M's...... well, the loft is in for a bit of a surprise !! The last time, that it was emptied right out, we had the whole level insulated, since then, things have just gone up & have been left to collect dust !! Oh well.....
I hope, if all goes well, I'll have the whole job done, before having to go back to the hospital !! That's my aim, it's just going to take a bit of time & sorting out...... I'm looking forward to the "challenge" !! It'll be a toss up - either I win, or the many spiders, that live up there, will simply take over & I'll be lost for all time.... well, until someone comes up the ladder, to see where I've got to !! Ho-hum...
I didn't bother to post anything yesterday...... mainly as I couldn't be fussed to put finger to keyboard !! We had a late night on Wednesday - doing the shopping & that tuckered me out, as far as the day went, plus - last night - B & I went over to Taunton, to pick up some stuff from a shop, that sells the stuff she uses for making bags & stuff like that.
Time we got back & sorted ourselves out - well.... I was really bushed & just wanted to get some sleep. Hence - I didn't write anything !! I hope I can be forgiven !! Also - I had some great news !!
I really thought - by today - I would be in the hospital, after Monday's blood test !! My infection levels had shot up & I honestly thought, after Wednesday's blood test.... assuming they would go up even higher, that I would booked in & be stuck on a drip !!
However - the levels all went down !! Sooooo - I kind of got a let off, which was great..... I had to wait until my local Dr 'phoned, at lunchtime - and when he told me the news, I was well over the Moon. I have no explanation, as to why they went up - or for that matter, why they came down again - but, getting to stay at home, was a great bonus !! Life is good.... and that's the truth !!
Right - as mentioned - B is out for a couple of hours.... which means the amp is turned down to deafening & the music is well loud !! I'm sorry to say, I'm playing another Allman Brothers concert.... so, I probably won't bother you with another list of tracks.......
Just to say, it's well good + until this morning, I don't think I had taken notice of the band, doing a very quick reference, to a Dylan cover !! If only I could remember what it was - this sentence would make a bit of sense... maybe it will come back to me !! Oh I remember - it was just a couple of licks from 'Get Up, Stand Up, !! I knew it might come back to me !!
Anyhoo - that's been my day.... I must think about doing some other stuff now. I might even attack the kitchen, to put some dishes away & stuff like that !! Yeah - I know..... what can I say...... !!

Pink Floyd 'Earls Court 20-10-94'
Hail & Greetings World's !!
It's another mid-week Wednesday, I'm home alone & the music is up to about 12....... 11 was sooooo quiet, I had to go one higher !! Oh well.... it's a good job, that I do not wear my headphones, while I'm home - I think I would be well deaf by now !!
Anyways... as I say, I'm home alone & after a morning of writing e-mails, I decided to put finger to keyboard & tell you of the events, of the last few hours. First tho' - the family....
As I say - I'm home alone... B has gone on another road trip, this time with a neighbour & a lady from the village. They've gone up to where B's Dad lives - to visit the street market there & have a bit of a day out.
Ok - I know B went there yesterday, to tell her Dad the news about the M & M's..... but, this trip was worked out a while back, sooooo - she's gone there twice in 2 days !! Oh well...... !! I don't mind - I'm still "firing on all thrusters"....
As I wrote yesterday, I wasn't feeling too special..... well, that's hung over to today, bit of a bummer really !! Last night, I was sitting, watching TV - 'The Big Bang Theory' - and, almost as soon as I thought it, at just after 8pm, my Consultant 'phoned.
He had the results, from Monday's blood test.... to say the least, he's a bit concerned !! He wants me, if I feel worse than I do now, to call his office & go straight into the hospital.... another bummer, or at least I think so !!
Anyways - that was last night.... This morning, while I was at our local surgery to have my dressings changed, the nurse took another blood sample - if that one shows another increase in my infection levels, I will have little choice, than to actually go into the hospital. Not something I really want to do - but.... it's really my only option, at this stage.
To be honest - we knew I was going back, into hospital, sometime soon, to have another surgery..... but, I was hoping to stay out of the place, for a while at least. Once again, time will tell !!
Anyways - onto the music of the moment !!
I've been playing Allman Brothers concerts, all thru' the morning.... it's now, about 4pm & I'm a little OD'd on the guys. So - I dug out Pink Floyd's Earls Court from October 20th 1994.
It's the one that was on their 'Pulse' DVD - not the official Cd release, the DVD soundtrack..... I've not played it, for a while - so it's made a bit of a change !! The tracks are:

And Then They Were Three... (sorry guys !!)
Greeting's !!
It's a very bright & Sunny Tuesday, here in England........ I can't quite see the beach today, but once the haze lifts, it should be Ok. I will probably stay in the house today - I do not really feel like heading outside !!
To be honest - I am not feeling 100%..... plus, I'm playing a brilliant Allman's concert (more of which later) & that's helping me pass a few hours away !! I'm home alone - sooooo...... the amp is turned right up to 11 & the neighbours are enjoying the beat, as much as I am !!
First off - the family section of this page....
As I type, B & our daughter ME are visiting B's Dad & her Auntie..... to spread the news, which I've been keeping to myself, or trying desperately to keep to myself, these past few weeks.
Our fantastic Daughter & Her brilliant Partner, are expecting their first baby, sometime next February. So - the M & M's are going to become three !! I'll have to think up a new name for them !!
Yesterday, we saw their first scan pictures and..... well - we're going to be Grand Parents !! It's fantastic news & we're sooooo very happy for them both, it's really fantastic news !! Bless them both.... all 3 of them...... !!
So - that's why I'm home alone, at the moment..... as I say, they are spreading the news !! They should be home - I'm not 100% sure when tho'.

Bryan Cranston rocks, not in 'Godzilla' tho' !!
Greetings World's !!
I was not going to post anything today...... but - I've been playing some Cd's & it's got me to wondering, about "things" that have happened in the past & how those "things" have stayed with me, over the years. First tho' the family.
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend, B - well.... she was here, baking some fresh cakes - the smell is brilliant - and now, she has gone upstairs, to try & find her floor. By that - I mean she has gone into her "Craft Cave" and is trying desperately, to tidy things away !!
I've told her, to take over my room... once I've finished boxing stuff up & put the shelves, up onto the wall - but, so far, she is staying put. My room, well, it's twice as big as her's - especially once everything has been put, or thrown, away....... but... !!
As for the rest of the family - well, that's the same as yesterday's post.... but, I'm sure we'll get to see them sooner, rather than later. I'm not sure what shifts, our Daughter, ME is working this week, but - we'll see them, when they have time & can make it over here. I'm pretty sure, that we will see them, this coming week.... Oh well.
Right, back to the above.... and the stuff, that has stayed in my mind, memories, that - for better or worse - I can not really forget about. I'm not going to go thru' them all - just a couple, that have stayed with me & I've thought about, this past few days.
Going back, to the last time, we went into town...... I had a copy of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'One More From The Road' playing in the car. It took me back, to that day, in 1977 - when, as I was driving home from work, I heard on the news, that the band had been in a plane crash & several of the guys had died.
It wasn't just that... but, that night, John Peel started his Friday night show, with 'Free Bird' and I just broke down & really wept !! I know, it's really dumb - but, that band meant sooooo much to me, their plane crash really got to me.... especially with JP playing 'Free Bird' the way he did.
Staying with John Peel..... as you all probably know, he passed away, several years ago now. Well, on the day of his funeral - which I honestly had plans to attend - I was back in the hospital, having one of my many scans.
This particular day - well, this Doctor took B & myself, into a little room & told us, that I was probably going to die, by that night, sometime !! The scan had thrown something up & the Dr. was convinced that I was on my way out !! Boy - was he ever wrong !! But - the 2 things, came to mind.....Oh well, life is good & I'm still here !!
Sooooo - that's just a couple of the things, that have gone thru' my mind, over the last couple of days... nothing too special, but - had I not played that Skynyrd album, well - they just came back, to my old & knackered out mind !!

As I type, over on the right, I have the TV silently playing the 'Godzilla' DVD. It's the one that came out, just a couple of years back & has Bryan Cranston, as the main star..... it's really crap !! It was knocked down, price wise, in the supermarket & that's the only reason I bought it. But, it's really bad !! Nevermind..... I'll chalk it up, to one of my many mistakes !!
As for the music of the moment - well, that's another Allman Brothers concert. This one is from their Wanee Music Festival shows & was recorded on April 11th 2014.... the music tracks are:

I was not going to post anything today...... but - I've been playing some Cd's & it's got me to wondering, about "things" that have happened in the past & how those "things" have stayed with me, over the years. First tho' the family.
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend, B - well.... she was here, baking some fresh cakes - the smell is brilliant - and now, she has gone upstairs, to try & find her floor. By that - I mean she has gone into her "Craft Cave" and is trying desperately, to tidy things away !!
I've told her, to take over my room... once I've finished boxing stuff up & put the shelves, up onto the wall - but, so far, she is staying put. My room, well, it's twice as big as her's - especially once everything has been put, or thrown, away....... but... !!
As for the rest of the family - well, that's the same as yesterday's post.... but, I'm sure we'll get to see them sooner, rather than later. I'm not sure what shifts, our Daughter, ME is working this week, but - we'll see them, when they have time & can make it over here. I'm pretty sure, that we will see them, this coming week.... Oh well.
Right, back to the above.... and the stuff, that has stayed in my mind, memories, that - for better or worse - I can not really forget about. I'm not going to go thru' them all - just a couple, that have stayed with me & I've thought about, this past few days.
Going back, to the last time, we went into town...... I had a copy of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'One More From The Road' playing in the car. It took me back, to that day, in 1977 - when, as I was driving home from work, I heard on the news, that the band had been in a plane crash & several of the guys had died.
It wasn't just that... but, that night, John Peel started his Friday night show, with 'Free Bird' and I just broke down & really wept !! I know, it's really dumb - but, that band meant sooooo much to me, their plane crash really got to me.... especially with JP playing 'Free Bird' the way he did.
Staying with John Peel..... as you all probably know, he passed away, several years ago now. Well, on the day of his funeral - which I honestly had plans to attend - I was back in the hospital, having one of my many scans.
This particular day - well, this Doctor took B & myself, into a little room & told us, that I was probably going to die, by that night, sometime !! The scan had thrown something up & the Dr. was convinced that I was on my way out !! Boy - was he ever wrong !! But - the 2 things, came to mind.....Oh well, life is good & I'm still here !!

Gregg Allman 'Back To Macon, GA' !!
Hi again World's !!
It's a Friday afternoon, here in England's South-West corner & it's pretty wet & horrid outside !! Mind you - according to the BBC weather guys - the rain was meant to get to us, yesterday... sooooo - as usual, they got that wrong !! Nevermind.....
I've been away, from my ol' computer keyboard, for a couple of days...... sorry about that. The last time, that I posted anything, was on Monday - I've not been tardy, I've just haven't felt much like putting finger to keys, over the past few days. I hope I can be forgiven ?!
First tho' - before boring you all to death.... 'My Family'
As I type, B is here, upstairs, doing a bit of housework. I had great plans, on helping her - by doing the dishes, in the kitchen, but... that all fell apart !! I had to be up early, to get down the Dr's for 8am. That & feeling a bit under the weather - well, I'll just say, I fell asleep & B did everything herself !! Bless her !!
As for the other members. ME was here, for a quick visit, on Tuesday afternoon - I think she has been working pretty much everyday since then. I'm not really sure.... it was great to see her again tho'. I've not seen M, for a few days - with him working hard & your's truly, being going from here to there & back again, it's been a hectic kind of week. To explain !!
On Wednesday, I had to go into the Taunton hospital, to meet up with the Consultant - the guy who has done most of the various surgeries on my back, over the last 2+ years. For once, he was pretty much on time !!
Anyhoo - the bottom line is this. I have to have the metalwork, that he put in, back in May 2013, removed.
I think we've all agreed, that the main reason, that I've been getting all of these infections, over the last 2 & a bit years.... well, it's down to the metal, causing this, that & the other, to get infected - sooooo, it has to come out. He actually said, that as things stand, it's possible, one day - well, that an infection is likely to kill me off.......It's Ok.... we all have to die, at some point, me - I'm going a little sooner than others - but, it's not the best news I wanted... !!
Nevermind, the metalwork is coming out & that's going to happen some time, in the next few months. First of all, I have to get back to being a little healthier, than I am, at the moment & then we can get things over & done with.
It seems only a short while ago, when the Consultant said "I can fix this". That was December 2012.... I was sooooo happy, after all these years, of having my back, the way it was, it felt really brilliant, to hear those words !! Nevermind - we gave it a go & now it's all coming out !! "Such Is Life" as Mr Kelly so famously said.....
Right - that was Wednesday....
Yesterday, I had to go back to the hospital, to have another MRI !! I sent an e-mail, to a great guy, yesterday - that I might be glowing in the dark, after all the scans I've had, this year alone !! I was going to check, last night... however, I had other things on my mind !! Maybe I'll look tonight..... time will tell...
Sooooo - that's how things stand, at the moment...... 10 surgeries down & number 11 in the pipeline. I'm not going to complain - mainly as there are so many people worse off than me. "Life Is Good" & I really do mean that - besides.... there is always next year !!

As I type, I'm half watching & more than listening to a fantastic Gregg Allman DVD 'Back To Macon, GA' - it came this morning it's really, really great !! It was recorded on January 14th 2014 & the music tracks are:

Staying with music - my friend, who I mentioned above... well, he sent me 2 albums yesterday !! One of them is Gregg Allman's '74' bootleg.... a double Lp set - which I've not seen for a goodly number of years. I know a bit of history, about this album.... how it went from America, landed up in Bermuda & eventually into the hands of my friend !!
He also sent me a boot, by The Yardbirds' - from a radio broadcast in 1965. I know nothing about this album, but - I will enjoy playing it, alongside the GA Lp's !! I'm glad I bought a new stylus, for my record deck, a little while back.... I would never have enjoyed the Lp's that I have & the ones I've bought more recently !!
I've also - if the music wasn't enough - been lucky & found 2 books, in the cheap sections of the hospital & Dr's bring & buy book stores. One, in particular, is all about the American West.... so, that's right up my alley, given how much I love reading about history !! Lots of photo's & background stories..... especially a bit about the 'Mountain Men'. Well good......
The 2nd book is an old 'encyclopedia' type thing, from 1973..... it's so far out of date, as to be funny !! I liked the bit, about the fact, that by the 1990's we would be sending people to Mars, on a regular basis & we would have whole colonies on the Moon !! As I say, really dated !! Oh well - a bit like me really !!
Right - I must go....

A change of directions & thoughts.....
Well "Hello" everybody !!
I hope you're all doing well, in which ever Universe you live in !! Here on my little bit of Heaven - well... it's another Monday & I'm home alone, again. It's no biggy - I'll explain later....
First - I have to go back, to yesterday....
It was a bit of a bummer really !! Not just for the 2 of us... but, also for some people, who were involved in a multi-car accident, on the motorway. To explain...
I had to go into Taunton, for another MRI.... and, being me, when B asked which way I wanted to go, I elected the motorway. I'm not a great lover of the back roads, that lead over the hills & into Taunton.
Sooooo - we loaded the car up with fuel & headed towards the motorway slip road. From what we could see, the traffic was moving Ok - so, we didn't have any reason to expect any problems. We got that wrong - we really did !!
We had only gone a few hundred meters, when bit by bit, the traffic ground to a halt. We had only gone, just a few meters, past the entry slip road & we were well & truly stuck !! By stuck - I mean, really bogged down & going nowhere.... I do not know, how long we stayed there - but, after the first hour, it became clear, I wasn't going to make it to the hospital, on time.
As for the people around us, well, some got out, to stretch their legs, some went up the slope, to spend a penny..... others, like us, just turned the music up & just chilled out. There wasn't much more we could do.
The people, in the car immediately behind us - well, it looked like they were heading towards a wedding, judging by their clothes & stuff. We heard one of the men, on the 'phone, explaining they wouldn't make it on time........ hopefully, the guy talking wasn't the groom !!
Another car, to our right - well, we did feel sorry for the lady. She was on her own, except for a very small baby & a dog. She had to take care of the little one.... and he or she looked really young !! Bless them. I really did feel sorry for them........ being stuck, in the middle lane of the motorway & no ways out of it !!
Anyhoo - we finally got to where the accident had happened.... just a few meters from the Taunton junction !! Just a few more meters, further along & the traffic would of been able to get off the motorway & onwards, using another route.
Oh well - from what I've seen, on the 'net' - nobody was too seriously injured, so that was a blessing..... A car can be replaced, a person can not !!
We didn't make it, to the hospital - but, we sent an e-mail, to explain why..... hopefully, being stuck on the motorway, for the best part of the afternoon, will be a good enough excuse !! Time will tell.......
I'll see the Consultant, on Wednesday afternoon - sooooo, I'll explain to him,. why I missed the MRI. I guess, if it's that important, he'll send me for another one.... again, time will tell.
Right - all of that was yesterday.... today, as I said above - I'm home alone.
Today is the day, that B was invited to Taunton, to meet up with our Son, J. As mentioned before - many times - he hates my guts and, he didn't want me at today's get together !! Oh well..... his choice....
B has taken some stuff, that he asked for.... not all of it, mainly as we couldn't find everything !! When I actually get into his old room, I'll box everything up & find a home for it all.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it all - J has made it very clear, in various ways, that he is not coming back here... sooooo, I guess I'll just put it away, someplace & that's about it !! If he can't be bothered to come here, when he's only 10 miles away... well, why should I give a f**k !!
All I know is - I'm going to have another room, to spread out into... so, that's not so bad !! What the heck, I'm going to do with the bloody enormous bed, that is in there, well.... that's going to be another "time will tell" I guess !!
So - as I'm on my own, I'm giving the old speakers a chance to blow any cobwebs off & into thin air..... I have the volume down, to just below deafening & it's really a great day to be "home alone" !! No - that's a lie... it's not a great day, to be alone.
It's my way of coping - the way I have always coped !! Whenever there has been something negative, in my life - I have always turned to music. It might sound dumb - but, as I was not invited to meet up with my Son & his girlfriend (I think ?) - well, I've turned to my "default" setting & turned the music up loud !!
Nevermind.... today is a turning point, it really is. From here on in, I will re-set my thoughts, concerning J & move on with my life !! He knows where I am, if he needs anything.... but - from this day forward, I'm changing the ways I think, about my Son !! Life is good & it will go on & on....... just in a different way !!
As for the music !!
Well - I've taken the plunge & I'm giving my 'Stoned Mule' album a listen !! As I've played it - I've put each side of the 2 Lp's onto a Cd. I don't want to scratch it, if I can help it - sooooo.... instead of playing the vinyl, I'm going to play the Cd copy !! At some point - I'm hoping to buy a copy of the album, actually on Cd... but, until then - the copy I'm making for myself, today, will do !!
I have to be honest - having not played the thing before, I've been really impressed with it !! It's full of Rolling Stones covers, as the title suggests - but, each one has a definite Gov't Mule touch to it. In a nut shell, it's really good..... and, in many ways, being here, on my own, has given me the chance, to give it a really good listen !!
I'm not going to give you a track listing - mainly as I wrote all of them down, a day or two ago !! I will say this tho' - if you get the chance to hear the album, go out & give it all of your attention..... it's really, really good !!
Right - my plans for the rest of the day... well, I'm going to listen to some music - followed by some more music !! In a way, it's just the ways I spend my normal days..... sitting back & listening to album after album !! Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to do it all, with-out the back pain that goes along with my day to day living !! That would be good !!

At some point - I'm hoping to buy a copy of the album, actually on Cd... but, until then - the copy I'm making for myself, today, will do !!
I have to be honest - having not played the thing before, I've been really impressed with it !! It's full of Rolling Stones covers, as the title suggests - but, each one has a definite Gov't Mule touch to it. In a nut shell, it's really good..... and, in many ways, being here, on my own, has given me the chance, to give it a really good listen !!
I'm not going to give you a track listing - mainly as I wrote all of them down, a day or two ago !! I will say this tho' - if you get the chance to hear the album, go out & give it all of your attention..... it's really, really good !!
Right - my plans for the rest of the day... well, I'm going to listen to some music - followed by some more music !! In a way, it's just the ways I spend my normal days..... sitting back & listening to album after album !! Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to do it all, with-out the back pain that goes along with my day to day living !! That would be good !!

Allman Brothers & Project '87 Ho-hum..
Greetings World's !!
How is your part of this fine World treating you today ?! It's bright & very Sunny here in England's South-West corner..... quite warm as well.... maybe this is the long lost Summer, that we've dreamed of - I doubt it !! If we get a week of dry weather, we'll be lucky...... nevermind - it's all good !!
As I type, B is out front, mowing the lawn...... I think the idea is, to attack the lawns, before they get drenched again. I don't think, that we've had much rain, over the last few days, sooooo - B is cutting it back, while we have a dry spell.
Anyhoo - enough of the weather & dry grass.......
I've only been up & out of bed, for a few hours. I really did not sleep very well, last night !! In the end, we both came down, to the living room & had a couple of hot drinks.
For me - well.... I rarely drink anything hot, but last night's hot chocolate - well, it went down really well !! I think B had some of the de-caff tea, that she drinks... 'Red Bush'... or whatever it's called. It looks pretty 'orrid - I hate to think what it taste like !! Anyways - the knock on effect was, I didn't get up very early !!
We did have to go, into town - but, as B was waiting for a package, in the post - well, we had decided to wait, until that had got here, before leaving home.... so, as it turned out, my staying in bed was no biggy. The postman came - with the stuff & all worked out well...... I'm still blooming knackered tho' - I hope it's not the start of another bug !! Time will tell......
As it was, we headed into town & did our bit of shopping... the supermarket wasn't too crowded today - that was a surprise, I expected more people to be about. I was not surprised, to see lots of grockles, in the car park and in the store, buying supplies for their holidays !!
This time of year, we are always inundated with holiday makers, come rain or shine...... I don't mind, tho' sometimes, we all find some of them to be a bit arrogant. Mind you - they treat us like jerks - sooooo, I guess the feelings are mutual !!
When I was in hospital - just before Easter - there was a guy, who liked our area so much, he had moved down here, with his Wife. He loved our accents.... tho' - his Wife had left him, after a couple of years of being here !! That must be a bit harsh... moving to another area, only to have your partner walk off..... oh well !!
As mentioned before - I'm going back to the hospital, tomorrow afternoon, for another MRI. B has told me, what time I have to be there, but.... I can't remember !! I know it's sometime, in the afternoon - sooooo, at least I get to sleep in, again !! Once more, into the tunnel, dear friends... once more !!
Then, on Monday.... I'm having another blood test, so everything will be ready, for when I see the Consultant, on Wednesday. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say !! Will he want to open me up again ? Who knows ?! Life is good, that's all I know...... and I'm glad of it !!
Just staying with the family, for a moment.... I've not seen anybody - so, the guys are probably doing Ok..... I'm sure they will let me know, as & when.. bless them !!
Sooooo - that just leaves the music of the moment !!

It was recorded at the Beacon Theatre, in New York. I've listed all of the tracks, on a previous post, so go & check that out, if you feel the need. It's a fantastic show....... very emotional !!
Staying with music tho'......
When I was last in hospital, I started listening to what I've always called 'Project '87'. It started off, on 42 cassettes & then I moved them over to 56 Cd's. Those were then put over to the Mini Egg (iPod) & I decided to play it, all the ways thru' - from Cd 1 - to Cd 56.......
I started on July 16th & I finished, playing all the tracks back, a little while ago !! Sooooo - that's about 3 weeks & 3 days, to play back all the 449 tracks....... give or take a couple, which I couldn't bring myself to listen to !!
It might seem a very long time, to play back just 449 tracks.... but, some of them were complete albums & some of the tracks were things by groups, who love to extend things !! Nevermind - I've enjoyed listening to it...... it's been a bit of fun !!
So - I must think about closing this down, for today..... I'm not going to list any album tracks, as I said above - the Allman's concert is listed some other place.... you can find it there, if you so wish.
Right - I must go.... As always, I thank you for logging in & reading my words - where ever you might be living..... until next time...

Gov't Mule's - 'Stoned Side Of The Mule'
Greetings again World's !!
How is your Universe treating you all today ?! Here it's a bright Sunny day - with just a chance of a deliver van reaching me.... well, it beats meatballs !! Nevermind - I'll explain later....
As I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B has gone down the road, to drop off a birthday card, to the guy next door. He's 87 today..... and, thankfully, as deaf as a post !! I do not mean that, in a nasty way, I honestly don't !! It just means because they - his Wife is deaf as well - that they do not hear the music, that I blast out !! Bless them....... you couldn't wish for better neighbours - better than the NFH, who lives on the other side of us !!
Going back to yesterday, ME spent a bit of time here.... as always, it was brilliant to have her company !! I gave her a box of chocolates, to make her smile a bit. She had someone, was suppose to give her some chocolates, at work & hadn't. Sooooo - I bought her some, to make her day. Bless her - she's beautiful & always brings a little happiness into my life !!
At some point - she's going to bring her bedroom furniture back over to here. When she moved out - she took her bed & the furniture.... now, tho' - the bed has gone up into their loft & the furniture is coming back to live here. All very complicated - but, I understand the reasons why..... so, I'll put it in the spare room & work around it, once it's there !! No biggy.....
I'll put it up against one of the walls - there is going to be plenty of room for it, once I've cleared everything else out of the place !! Plus - there will be added space, in the drawers.... so, that's going to be a bonus - it's all going to help & that's a fact !!
Right - what did I mean, about the "chance of a delivery van" ?! Well - if all goes to plan, I should receive the 2 Lp set of Gov't Mule's 'Stoned Mule' today. B ordered it - yesterday - with an overnight delivery, sooooo - it should be here, sometime, today !!
I can't remember, if I mentioned this before.... but... I got fed up, of not being able to find the Cd version, of the album, so I ordered the vinyl version, from 'Play.Com' or whatever they call themselves !!
Unfortunately - after taking my cash - and waiting 3 days - they e-mailed me, to say they couldn't send the album !! There was no reason, as to why - they just said, they couldn't send the album & they would refund my cash.....
So - I've re-ordered the thing, from 'Amazon' - and hopefully, it will get here, today !! Oh - 'Play' have still not sent my cash back.... sooooo - they better do that soon !!
I can't quite understand, why someone would advertise something for sale - then tell people, that they can't fulfill their end of the bargain & actually send the thing, that they've not only advertised, but for which they've taken the cash !! "Wow" - sorry, that was a long sentence.... nevermind - I'm like that !!
Hopefully, the album will get here soon - I have to go down, to the local surgery, for my dreaded dressings change, again. It's the 3rd and last one of the week, plus - I have to have another blood test, such fun......

The night before last, the Consultant 'phoned here, to let me know how pleased he was, that my various blood infection levels were low.
I told him, that I would see him, next Wednesday & then, on the Thursday, he could remove the metalwork..... he had a good laugh at that !! He's a great guy.... even if he has been opening me up, for most of the last 26 months !!

Led Zeppelin's 'Presence'..... Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you ? It's a Wednesday, here in England - not too warm outside.... but, I'm in the homestead, typing these words to you & I'm a happy Pilgrim !!
I've just come home, from another trip to the local surgery - it being a Wednesday, I've had my dressings changed again. We have a new-ish nurse, at the surgery & she is quite nice..... tho' am little slow & methodical !! To start with - last month, when she started, it was a little bit of a problem.... she would take forever to do the things - but, now... well, she has either sped up, or I've got used to her !!
Nevermind... I'm home now......
As for the family..... Well, B is upstairs, in her "Craft Cave" doing some kind of bag thingy - I've learnt, when she says "I'm going to do... " whatever it is - I just nod in agreement & let her get on with it. She always shows me the end product - sooooo, it all makes sense in the end !!
As for the rest of the Clan.... as I mentioned before, the M & M's were here over the weekend, but I think they're both working this week..... We will see them soon, I'm certain of that. Bless them....
That just leaves the cats...
Archie is asleep, on this really warm blanket, he has found, in the hall way. It's on a chair & he has taken up residence on the thing, day & night !! As for the rest of them... well.... I know Merry is up on our bed, but I'm not 100% sure where the other two are ?! I'm sure they will be here, when their stomachs need more food !! Oh well...
While we were at the surgery, B reminded me that I'm due another MRI scan, on Sunday !! I'm not sure how many I've had, in the last few months, but... it's been at least 3, so far this year !! I don't mind - it's a little bit of a pain, laying on my back, while they stick me into the "tunnel" - but, apart from that, it's Ok.
We knew one guy, who wouldn't go into the scanner, unless he was knocked out !! He couldn't bring himself, to go into the "tunnel" as he hated being in such a close, confined space..... I don't really think about it too much.
The more you worry about being stuck in the thing, the worse it seems to get !! For me - yep, it's another scan, but - the sooner it's done, the better !! I did forget, that i was due another one.... oh well. I will have to see the Consultant, shortly afterwards - next Wednesday, I believe - sooooo, he'll decided what to do after that, I guess. It's his call......
I hope for one of two outcomes really. He either decides to take the metalwork out of my back, or he decides against it. I don't really want to come out, of the meeting, not really knowing what his long term plans are. I do not really want to have to go back, in a few months & go thru' it all again !! Either the metalwork comes out, or it stays in.... one or the other !!
Ok - I do not really want another operation, but... I hate all of this not knowing what is going to happen !! When - as I've written before - I was last in hospital, he was all set to take it out.... then he changed his mind, at the last minute, because he decided I was too sick..... Oh well... I'll see how things pan out I guess. I will let you know, how things go......

A little earlier.... I was trying to listen to Led Zeppelin's 'Presence' re-issue.... actually, the bonus Cd. I gave up - I just find all of this re-issue stuff, well - a bit of a joke really !! It's Ok - I know I paid for the album.... but, it is kind of crap !! Nevermind - I hope the 'Coda' tracks will be better.... they can't be much worse really !!
Right my plans for today....
We ll, I'm going to play some more Allman's concerts - plus, I have a few more Cd's to list & put away. I've got behind, with all of that really..... it's Ok - it will all get done, eventually. Maybe not all today - but, over the coming weeks... as long as I can keep breathing, that is - mainly as I keep getting new albums, all of the time & I just seem to get behind, as to listing them !!
Once I get some shelves up, in the spare room - my little "Man Cave" if I dare call it that ? - things will be easier. I hope..... !! Time will tell on that one, I guess..... depends on how quickly I can turn the old bedroom, into my own little bit of a store room !! I'm not holding my breath.....

How is your bit of the Universe treating you ? It's a Wednesday, here in England - not too warm outside.... but, I'm in the homestead, typing these words to you & I'm a happy Pilgrim !!
I've just come home, from another trip to the local surgery - it being a Wednesday, I've had my dressings changed again. We have a new-ish nurse, at the surgery & she is quite nice..... tho' am little slow & methodical !! To start with - last month, when she started, it was a little bit of a problem.... she would take forever to do the things - but, now... well, she has either sped up, or I've got used to her !!
Nevermind... I'm home now......
As for the family..... Well, B is upstairs, in her "Craft Cave" doing some kind of bag thingy - I've learnt, when she says "I'm going to do... " whatever it is - I just nod in agreement & let her get on with it. She always shows me the end product - sooooo, it all makes sense in the end !!
As for the rest of the Clan.... as I mentioned before, the M & M's were here over the weekend, but I think they're both working this week..... We will see them soon, I'm certain of that. Bless them....
That just leaves the cats...
Archie is asleep, on this really warm blanket, he has found, in the hall way. It's on a chair & he has taken up residence on the thing, day & night !! As for the rest of them... well.... I know Merry is up on our bed, but I'm not 100% sure where the other two are ?! I'm sure they will be here, when their stomachs need more food !! Oh well...
While we were at the surgery, B reminded me that I'm due another MRI scan, on Sunday !! I'm not sure how many I've had, in the last few months, but... it's been at least 3, so far this year !! I don't mind - it's a little bit of a pain, laying on my back, while they stick me into the "tunnel" - but, apart from that, it's Ok.
We knew one guy, who wouldn't go into the scanner, unless he was knocked out !! He couldn't bring himself, to go into the "tunnel" as he hated being in such a close, confined space..... I don't really think about it too much.
The more you worry about being stuck in the thing, the worse it seems to get !! For me - yep, it's another scan, but - the sooner it's done, the better !! I did forget, that i was due another one.... oh well. I will have to see the Consultant, shortly afterwards - next Wednesday, I believe - sooooo, he'll decided what to do after that, I guess. It's his call......
I hope for one of two outcomes really. He either decides to take the metalwork out of my back, or he decides against it. I don't really want to come out, of the meeting, not really knowing what his long term plans are. I do not really want to have to go back, in a few months & go thru' it all again !! Either the metalwork comes out, or it stays in.... one or the other !!
Ok - I do not really want another operation, but... I hate all of this not knowing what is going to happen !! When - as I've written before - I was last in hospital, he was all set to take it out.... then he changed his mind, at the last minute, because he decided I was too sick..... Oh well... I'll see how things pan out I guess. I will let you know, how things go......

Ok - I know it's only a 2 Cd show - but, the tracks played are really good !! I've taken the time - over the last few weeks, to actually listen, to the concerts, from 2014 & they are all leaving me wanted more. Great concerts, from a great band !!
A little earlier.... I was trying to listen to Led Zeppelin's 'Presence' re-issue.... actually, the bonus Cd. I gave up - I just find all of this re-issue stuff, well - a bit of a joke really !! It's Ok - I know I paid for the album.... but, it is kind of crap !! Nevermind - I hope the 'Coda' tracks will be better.... they can't be much worse really !!
Right my plans for today....
We ll, I'm going to play some more Allman's concerts - plus, I have a few more Cd's to list & put away. I've got behind, with all of that really..... it's Ok - it will all get done, eventually. Maybe not all today - but, over the coming weeks... as long as I can keep breathing, that is - mainly as I keep getting new albums, all of the time & I just seem to get behind, as to listing them !!
Once I get some shelves up, in the spare room - my little "Man Cave" if I dare call it that ? - things will be easier. I hope..... !! Time will tell on that one, I guess..... depends on how quickly I can turn the old bedroom, into my own little bit of a store room !! I'm not holding my breath.....
So, for today - with 'Whipping Post' coming to an end... I will be on my ways. I thank you all, for taking the time, to log in & read my words..... until next time...

'Amused To Death' Ho-hum !!
Hi !!
It's a really warm & bright Monday afternoon, here in England's South-West corner. B & I have just returned from town and it was pretty good, just going around in the Sunshine !! Ok - I was in my wheelchair.... but - it was still a good !!
B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - is sat over to my left, reading J's lovely e-mails........ more of which later. As we've just got home, I've made her a drink of the tea stuff, that she drinks & we're both kind of chilling out. I don't think either of us have much in the pipeline, to do this afternoon..... sooooo - it's going to be a quiet one.
As for the rest of the family.....
The M & M's were here, on Saturday. They stayed for a bite to eat - it was, as always, great to see them !! Hopefully it won't be too many days, before we see them again, I love them both - they're such a great couple !!
As for our Son J.... well, that's a completely different story !!
B has just showed me a message, that he put on 'Facebook'. He claims, that I'm only asking about his stuff - that is still in his bedroom - to use it as a leaver, to get him to come here !! I'm sorry - J... you are sooooo very far from the truth, it's not worth my time, trying to explain it to you !!
To be honest - I'm so pissed off, with him, that I don't really think I can keep asking him questions any more. I just wanted to know, what he intended to do with his things, which are still loitering in his room. To that end - I sent him the price list of two self storage units.
I'm really past caring now - his room is going to be turned into something we can use & that's an end to it. I'm sooooo pissed, being called this that & the other - well...... no more !! I've had enough !!

As I type - I'm listening to the re-release of Roger Waters 'Amused To Death'. It came last week & this is the first time I've played it, from start to finish.... it's well good - so much better than the old mix, on the original release !! The tracks are:

I can remember buying a copy of this, when it first came out - I thought it was good then.... this re-release is far better !! I could of bought it, this time, on vinyl - but, I settled for the Cd version. Mind you - I had a bundle of things on order, at the same time... so, I had to buy the "cheapest" version I could find at the time !! Go & find yourself a copy....
Talking of vinyl - I have finally succumbed to the temptation & ordered myself a copy of Gov't Mule's 'Stoned Mule'. I have been looking for a Cd copy of it - but, as I can't locate one, I've ordered up the Lp version !! I have no clue, as to how good it's going to be - but.... it'll be here, sometime over the coming days (weeks !!) sooooo - it's going to be interesting !!
Right - my plans for the rest of the day.... none at all really !! I have some more Allman Brothers concerts, to listen to, but I'm not sure if that's going to be today - maybe later, time will tell on that one. Apart from that - well..... I have a few things in mind, but - I'll see how things go.
I have been measuring up the walls in the spare room, for some shelves - that looks like it's all coming together. I know what I'm going to use - the brackets & wood.... it's just a case of putting it all together !! It's been a while, since I've put any - shelves - up.... it's going to be fun, in a very strange kind of way.
I'm not 100% sure how much it's all going to cost - but, what the heck...... it's all going to be worth while, in the long run. At least, I'll get all of the Cd's - from under our bed, up where I can see to play them !! That was B's idea - and a good one it was !!
I must go - time for pills & cake !! I'm not joking.... there is cake !! As always - I thank you for logging in & reading my words.... until next time...
