Bermuda Backlash & Gov't Mule !!

Greetings Worlds !!

A big "Hello" to my readers in Russia & China... I thank you for logging in today !!  Plus all of the rest of you - from all around the World.... It's great to know you're there & taking the time to read my words !!

Ok - it's Friday, here in England... and as I type, I'm more or less on my own.  J - our Son - is upstairs, but B.... my Wife & Dearest Friend has just gone across the road, to help a neighbour.  So - that just leaves ME - our Daughter - who is having a day off from work & has just gone into town, to meet up with M (her boyfriend0 on his lunch break.

So - that's all of the family...... oh, I forgot... we have a new
member !!  As I wrote, yesterday, the guys all went into town, to have a look at the fair.  Well, they came home with a goldfish - so, the fish.... now known as Colin... is the latest member of the family !!  I'm not 100% sure what the 3 cats make of this newcomer.... but......

Anyhoo - it's not the first fish we've had from the fair... and usually, they don't live too long, but... he/she/it has it's bowl to swim around in & seems to be settling in quite well..... oh well !!

I was going to have my mate over this morning.... but, after a really bad night, I asked him to cancel..... which he did.  That was nice of him.... what was even nicer... well, altho' I wasn't well enough for a visit - he still looked in & dropped off a bunch of Cd's for me to listen to !!  More music... "Yippeee !!".

So - I now have some new concerts by Springsteen & Neil Young, in the collection.... all from their most recent tours !!  Great stuff... tho' - as yet - I've not given them a listen !!

I've been on a bit of a Gov't Mule blitz this morning.... playing stuff from their 'Deepest End' & 'The Deep End' Cd's.... I don't play the studio stuff enough - it's really good.... tho' it took 'The Deepest End' collection, for me to really understand the band !!  That took too many years - but, I'm now hooked on them !!

The music of the moment is Blackmore's Knight 'Live In Paris' set from a few years or more back....  We were watching a Deep purple video & the band were really moaning about Ritchie Blackmore... but, I've always enjoyed his music - no matter how he is personally !!  He actually comes from not too far from here... so, maybe I'm a little bias !!

As mentioned - I had a not so good night... I got really fed up with it all & by 2.30 this morning, I had had enough !!  Luckily the Dr's have given me some stuff, to help me sleep & that really is a blessing on nights like that !!

Never mind.... there are always other people worse off....

Going back a few hours.... last evening, 2 of the Missionaries came around for a visit.  Including one we had never met before.....  He is from New Zealand & seemed a great guy, very down to Earth & not too far up in the clouds !!  I'm not sure if we'll see him again - this isn't really his area - but, they are always welcome to drop in !!

Nothing was really said, about going to The Temple.... so, in a way, that was a bit of a relief !! But, I'm sure it will come up again at some point !! Ho-hum.......

As I type - I'm making a DVD copy of 'Almost An Angel'... a great Paul Hogan film, from quite a few years ago & one of my favourites by
him !!  Hopefully, at some point, I will find it on DVD - but, for now - I will make do with this copy.... It is very funny tho' & always makes me smile !!

Altho' there are some great covers on the discs I have... there were (so I'm told) even better things on the encores - unfortunately, as yet, I don't have those !!  Maybe another time....  As always - don't by bootlegs... buy all of the official stuff instead !!  More another time...

As some of you will know, I have had connections with Bermuda... many, many Moons ago.  Well - I've been catching up on what has been happening over there, from The Royal Gazette newspaper - it's amazing how things have gone !!

When I used to visit, it always seemed a great place, for a holiday - not so much to live..... I always got a little "rock happy" after a few weeks.... it is a small place !!  Anyhoo - now, from what I'm reading, there is a really nasty side to the place..... it's hard to comprehend really !!

I've been gob-smacked to read about, how they are holding food collections... not for any "Third World Country"... but, for the people who live on the islands & can't afford enough food !!  That's just crazy !! But.... and I don't mean this to sound too "nasty"... but, many of the people I know in Bermuda, seemed to think they were immune to what happened in the rest of the World..... in many ways, I'm quite pleased that - either the World has caught up with the place.... or, that Bermuda has realised it's own limitations !!

Ok - my plans for the rest of the day.... none at all !!  I'm going to rest up & give it a bit of down time !!  I'm just going to kick back & rest up a wee bit !!  B should be home in a little while - so, I guess she might have some plans - but, as yet, I don't really know what they are !!

Anyhoo - I will away & wait for "The Bermuda Backlash" to hit me.... I'm sure it will.... but, for now - as always, I thank you for logging in & taking the time to read my words.... until next time...
