Bonzo's Birthday Party & other stuff....

greetings World's !!

It's a very warm - but windy - day, here in the wilds of England's South-West..... somewhere around 6pm (I think) and life has been pretty good, well - so far today !!

As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is up in her "craft cave" - probably doing some more cards... for birthday's & Christmas. It seems to have worked out quite well.... putting all (or most) of her crafty stuff, in ME's (our Daughter) old bedroom. It is just a box room - about enough room to put a bed & a couple bits of furniture - so, it has done well......

We put an old kitchen table, up against the window - and B seems to have really got the card making bug, back between her teeth !! I'm just glad, that it's all worked out..... I was a bit concerned - incase there wasn't enough room, or not enough daylight - but... it all seems Ok !!

Talking about ME... she was here earlier. We met up, in town & she drove back here, just for a few hours. It is one of her day's off - so, it was really good to see her & spend some time together !!

Mind you - I wasn't much company. My ol' back has been giving me a few problems, today.... so, I did spend some time, just up on the bed, upstairs !! I needed to take some of the weight off - so, the bed was the best place to be !!

Earlier, 2 of the nurses came around.... one of my regular's + her boss. The latter wanted to check up on my back wound. I'm not sure when she saw it last - but, she was pretty surprised by how it's healing..... I'm glad to say !!

I don't know that she has much choice in the matter - but, she
"agree" - ed that the vac-pump dressing should stay on, until the surgery in September. I was prepared for a "fight" - if she wanted to change things.... but, that didn't happen - I'm glad to say !! I don't think she had any choice, but... I didn't know.... oh well...

As I type - B has moved down & is watching some TV...... a Canadian border security programme. I don't know, exactly, what it's called - but, we watch it from time to time. It's kind of fun.....

I do have, or had, a Son - from my first marriage & he lives out in Canada, some place..... I have no contact with him, so I really don't know where he's living !! It's Ok - what I don't know, doesn't really hurt me....... having not seen him, for more than a few hours, in the last 28 years !! Nevermind........ my life goes on & on & on......

Oh - I didn't mention our Son - J..... well, I don't really have anything to say about him.... sooooo, - again - moving right along....

The music of the moment, is the Allman's playing 'Done Somebody Wrong' - taken from the 6 Cd 'Fillmore East' box set, that I got recently.... well good !! It's great to hear all the old shows, having had the original album, on a double Lp set...... many years ago !! I really don't know, why I sold it.... apart from money, of course !!

As you might have guessed - I was playing the Led Zeppelin bootleg 'Bonzo's Birthday Party' - just a short while ago..... that was another 2 Lp set.

To be honest - I didn't sell that one.... I gave it to my ex's Brother, way, way back - when I first met him. I was playing a Cd - taken from the old Lp's - the tracks are:

The concert is from Zeppelins 1973 American tour & - for it's time - was a real treat to the ears !! I remember my copy.... it was on see thru' green vinyl & - when I first got it, played like a dream !! Of course - since then, the band have released an official Cd of the tour, in the shape of 'The Song Remains The Same' - but, I still have a taste for this old
boot !!

As always - don't buy bootlegs.... buy the official stuff instead !! But, if you get the chance - to hear any of the old bootlegs, have a good listen & remember how old they are & how they were recorded !! It's amazing that so many of them were actually done..... given the type of recording equipment, that was available at the time !!

Right - my plans, for tonight..... none at all !! I need to get myself cleaned up, before heading for bed.... but, that won't take too long. I'll just run a bath & sit back & enjoy the warm water......
