12 months gone....

Hi again everybody !!

It's a Thursday, here in England's South-West corner & the weather is dry & cold. We've just got home from town & it was really windy, sooooo. added it to the cold - it wasn't too special out there.... Nevermind.... it's been better than having it rain, all the time !!

As for the family.... B is sat, right up close to the fire. Yesterday, we bought a whole bundle of coal & logs - so that's going to heat the house up !! Plus - it's nice to have an open fire, to give a centre point to then living room !! Hot & pretty as well.... can't be too bad.....

I think, tomorrow, ME is coming over to see us. As mentioned before, I love it when our Daughter comes around to say "Hello" !! I know both of the M & M's have been working hard, since Christmas, but it'll be good to see her again...

Going back to the 2 of us, we've been busy, today. We went to one of our favourite electrical stores & bought the dryer, I mentioned a day or 2 back. Ok - it cost a little more, than we expected at £240 - but, it's got a good warranty + it gets delivered for free. Some shops charge for that privilege, sooooo - all in all - it wasn't too bad  a price.

Add to the above, we had to buy some ink, for the printer & do some grocery shopping - so we've been going around like mad things. I also made a trip to the local 2nd hand record shop..... I didn't find too many things today - but, I came out of there with another Zeppelin bootleg (which I didn't pay for !!) and a 2 Cd set of Bruce Dickinson's.

I also came home, with 4 Patti Smith albums....

'Horses'
'Trampin'
'Land'
& 'Outside Society'

None of these I've heard before.... I know - I'm probably the only person on Earth, who hasn't heard 'Horses'..... but, the price was right & I couldn't resist them !!

Staying with albums.....

Yesterday, a friend of mine came over to see me.... he lives abroad & I only see him once in a while, so it was great to catch up, especially as he brought me a bundle of Cd's to keep !! Where I start with those, I have no clue, but they were....

Grateful Dead's complete 'Fare Thee Well' 12 Cd set, from last summer's concerts in America.... it's going to take quite a while to listen to those !!

I also have, from him, a couple or 3 boots.... 2 from Zeppelin, recorded in America & Japan + a brilliant Gov't Mule set, from London, last year !! I'm really going to enjoy going thru' all of them, I know, it's going to take a while..... but it's going to be fun !!

Plus - in the post today, I've had 2 Allman Brother's live sets..... one from 1972 & one from 1979. Sooooo - add all of them together & I've got weeks of fine listening ahead of me !! B will no doubt enjoy some of them - but, I suspect I'll have the odd moan. As I said, when I started this blog, all these years ago...... I wanted some one, other than B, to ask me what I hell I was playing !!

This post has nearly been all about music - sorry about that..... but, I do love my music & to get sooooo many albums, in just a short space of time... it's all a bit overwhelming, even by my standards !! Nevermind..... life, our lives, keep on going & that's a fact !!

Right, my plans for the rest of the day... Well, I'm still going thru' all of the Cd's, that are already here + we have to make a space for the new dryer. That won't take too long, just got to move the old one out & that will give us the room.... no biggy.

As for tomorrow.... I have to go back to the Dr's surgery, to once again have my dressings changed. There are only 2 nurses, who I see, at the surgery, but the nicer of the 2 is working tomorrow.... She always has a smile on her face & makes, the whole process, a little less painful. It still hurts like mad, but..... after all this time.

Before I go - remember it's been a year ago - the first anniversary of the attack  on "Charlie Hebdo"... 12 months since those bastards shot those people, at the magazine. If you feel brave enough, come & see me..... I'll give you your 72 virgins & all the crap that you think you'll get, by doing a jihad !! Lets see how quick you want to try it on, with someone who has nothing, but will give you plenty !!
