'Illumination Theory' !! Ho-hum...

Greetings World's !!

It's a not so warm Monday - here in England's South-West corner. B & I went into town, a while back & - to be honest - I was not the warmest person on the planet & that's for sure !! Nevermind - we've been home for a couple of hours now & I'm starting to warm up a bit..... it helps having the heating on !!

As it was a Monday - I had to go down, to the local surgery & have my dressings changed..... you might have heard the screaming, if you were in the area !! No - really, it's not that bad, well... compared to how things used to be, it's a bit of a picnic now !!

I said, to B, as we left.... it was all done & dusted, in under 10 minutes - maybe a fraction longer. Compared to the 90 minute marathon's, that it used to take - well, as I say..... a bit of a "picnic" !!

It's 2 weeks, to the day - that I have to go in, for my next surgery.... 2 weeks !! "Wow" !! I'm not really sure, how I feel about it... the next surgery, that is. We did the math & it's the 10th operation, since May 28th 2013..... sooooo, if it's possible - I really am getting a bit used to it all now, it's almost becoming routine !!

I had a bit of a joke, with the nurse, this morning. She has done most of the dressings, on Mondays & Wednesdays, since I've been home.... so, I asked her, what she was going to do, with her spare time, if I land up not having to go & see her, after the next surgery !!

As she said - someone would come along & spoil her freedom !! Oh well.... 14 days & counting..... !!

I really want it, done & over with, now... I'm getting fed up - very fed up - with it all now... routine or not, it's been a very long 21 months !!

Anyhoo - after visiting the nurse, B & I headed into town..... once again, to money into the bank & to pick up some odds & ends. I even remembered to pick up some screws, to fix the curtains, in J's old room.

A while back, the curtains fell down, here in the living room, when the rail broke away, from it's fixings. As a very temporary fix, we used the rail, in J's room. That was some weeks ago.... today, I actually remembered to get the fixings, to put J's curtains, back into place !!

It will, at least mean, that Sun won't be so bright, in that room - it's always very warm there, as the Sun goes around, in the afternoon !! I will go up, and sort things out - but not quite yet....

Mainly, because, as I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is in bed, hopefully asleep !! Ok - it's the middle of the day.... but B has a nasty bug, at the moment & she needs to sleep it off, just for a while, at least. I'll wake her up, in a few hours.....

Because she is asleep - I've only got the music of the moment, on really quietly...

I'm playing the 12 inch picture disc, of Dream Theater's 'Illumination Theory'. As I must of mentioned before... B bought the disc, for me, as Christmas pressy - it's well good !! Ok - it's exactly the same (I think) as the Cd version... but, I just have a thing, for playing old vinyl recordings, now & again !!

The music is only on one side of the disc - but, that's Ok by me..... it's a bit special, that's all. 22 minutes of great entertainment !!

Tomorrow - if all goes to plan - another batch of Cd's, from the Allman Brothers 2014 box set, will reach me !! I had a letter thingy, on Saturday, to say it would be delivered on Tuesday - sooooo, that's tomorrow sorted !!

To be honest - I'm a little pissed, at the postal service.... !! Once again, I've had to pay, just to get the Cd's thru' our system - a total of just over £20 !!

Come on guys, I've already paid the American postage, surely that's enough ?! I guess not - there is always somebody wanting to take their pickings !!

As I say, they're coming tomorrow, at some point..... so, that's going to be fun !!

I have to go out, for an hour, in the morning - so, hopefully, they will not get here, during my absence !! B will be home, for most of the hour.... so, I think we'll have it covered !! Heck - after paying that extra cash - they should let me know, exactly, when they are going to get to me !! Nevermind.... !!

Going back, to the weekend - we watched the last of 'The Hobbit' movies !! It's really, really good - so, if you get the chance, give it a look !! I am complete nerd, when it comes to 'Lord Of The Rings'... with the books & movies, sooooo - this last one 'The Battle Of The Five Armies' - was going to be a hit. with me, no matter what !!

As I've done before - I will probably put the sound tracks, onto Cd.... so that I can listen to them, thru' my iPod thingy. Ok - I know, I'm a sad git.... but, I enjoy that type of thing !! Listening to all the music & words - I can get my head, right into the whole film & enjoy it that way.

Believe me - it has kept me from going completely mad, on more than one occasion - having being stuck in one or other of the hospitals !! Oh well..... it keeps me off the streets, even if not entirely sane !!

Just before I sign off, for today - and staying with music...

As long time readers will know, I do not have the greatest of memories !! So, it might not come, as any surprise...... but, after spending many hours, recording some "mix-tape" Cd's - in the hope of putting them, onto my iPod - I can not find the discs !! I've recorded them - and put them down, someplace... now tho' - I can't find them, for love or money... I have no idea, where I put them !! Oh well... my life goes on...
