Old videos & lots of music....

Greetings Worlds !!

Well - it's a Wednesday, here in England....... it's not overly warm outside, but... as I'm staying in the house, I'm not too worry about that !!

I'm home alone at the moment... all of the family have just left, for a quick trip into town.  J has a meeting to attend and B was going to take him in.... but, ME (who is on a day off) decided she wanted her car cleaned, so she's driving & heading towards the car wash.

It's been a quiet day, so far... I've been watching old videos of music things, transferring them over to DVD.  It's been fun - watching 'Monterey Pop'... the 1967 "festival".  It was worth it - just for the few minutes that Canned Heat were on stage !!  They all looked like extra's from 'Revenge of the Nerds' or something !!  it was good to see the original drummer, Frank Cook, really going for it.... it's a shame that most, if not all of them, are dead now.

That was followed by 30 minutes of Neil Young, 'live' at the BBC in 1971 (I think)..... where are those people now ?!  The ones in the audience, at the festival & the Neil Young concert ?!  Oh well...

The music of the moment is Tom Petty's 4 Cd 'Anthology' live set.... I found I had 2 copies of it... so, I'm playing one of them now.  Can't really think why I picked up 2 copies !!  No brain, I guess !!

Later on, tonight... we're having visitors from The Church.... that should be interesting !!  I'm not feeling 100% today - so, in some ways, I wish they were not coming over... but.... Tomorrow, the Missionaries are coming as well - so, we'll see where we go from there.  It's all connected to our proposed visit to The Temple.... but... we'll see how that turns out !!

I mentioned the 'Saga of the Right Black Hand'... well, it's still black & hurts like hell !!  B is concerned that it seems to have a life of it's own & that the Dr's don't seem too worried about it.  Me - I'm just fed up with it !!  It now stretches from my finger tips, almost up to my
elbow !!  As I say - hurts like hell !!

The first copy I had of this show - well, it sounded really bad !!  But - thankfully, this second copy is from a different, much clearer tape.... so, all was not lost !!  It's really good... especially the early versions of 'The Song Remains The Same' !!  As always, don't buy bootlegs - buy the official stuff instead !!

Ok - my plans for today... none at all really !!  I'm just going to rest up & take it easy for the next few hours. with the visits, tonight & tomorrow + a trip to see the guy at the clinic, well... I need to get my beauty sleep in !!
