Rush, more Rush.... and even more Rush !!

Hi Everybody !!

It's a wet & cold day, here in England...... I must admit, I've not been out of the house at all - but, the rain is just pelting down, so.... I'm probably in the right place !!

The music of the moment is another Rush concert.... and as I type, they are playing a version of the Rolling Stones 'Paint It Black'.... not too bad at all !!  Now, they've gone into 'The Spirit Of Radio'... no, not too bad at all !!

I'm having a bit of a Rush day.... playing loads of their old concerts.... I've enjoyed every minute of it !!  But, as I say, I've been playing the Cd's for most of the day, sooooo it's nearly time to give the amp a rest !!

As for the family..... B is behind me, making some icing stuff, for the Christmas cake, J is upstairs - not sure what it is, that he is doing - and ME is out at work.  She didn't start until 2pm, so she had a chance of some extra sleep this morning !!  Bless her - she travels so very far, but.... that's what she wants to do & as long as she is happy, I don't mind !!  I do worry about her, out on the roads.... but........... !!

I mentioned a while back, that - along with J - I had bought a new disc drive. for my computer.  Well, I tried earlier to use it, to copy a DVD that I had done, from the old videos.  Well, I failed miserably !!  There is something, actually on the disc, but what it is, I've no idea !!  I'll settle for just making Cd's of tapes - rather than trying to do DVD's !! Oh well.......

I've turned the music off now & the news is on the TV.  They are talking about how many immigrants have come into the country & how "we" (Joe Public) are not helping the immigrants settle into our communities.  As a member of 'Joe Public' - you know, the average idiot on the streets - I take a different view on it.

In my limited experience, a lot of our immigrant families... the ones in our little area of the World..... tend to gather together, not really wanting to integrate into the rest of the 'Joe Public' - but quite happy to stay as they are !!

Oh well..... that's going to get me into trouble, with the 'Thought Police'.  For the record... I actually like the people who have moved here from Eastern Europe.  The few I have come into contact with, have been very polite & friendly !!  I know I'm not in the majority, but.... I can only say what I have personally found !!  Oh well.........

Right... onto other things !!

B & I have been talking, a little, about the proposed surgery on my back, which should happen, about May, next year.  We, I think, have accepted it will be a very dangerous surgery.... but, we have also agreed - I think - that it will make such a difference to our lives, beyond anything we can put down in a blog !!

We also know, that given the difficultly of the surgery, it might not happen.... if the Consultant decides it's not worth the risk !!  Time will tell, but.... if they decide not to carry out the whole thing, well, I've lost nothing - other than a bit of hope !!  I will let you know how things go !!

As for now, I must be on my ways...... I thank you all for logging in today & over the last couple of years !!  I know I've not written too much over this past 2 months, but... well, I thank you are for reading my words !!  So - I will away.... until next time....
