As for Sister H - ah............. thank you for your e-mail - I'll be writing soon !! Ok... onwards & upwards -or downwards ?!
It's a Friday night & I'm sat here typing - our Daughter ME has just come home & has sorted out her supper... B has just gone out. Somehow, the two of them passed in the village - ME came in one way & B went out the other.... so, they didn't see each other. Never mind... Our Son J has just gone upstairs (after his supper) - so.... that just leaves me.
I'm "happy" !! I saw my Dr this morning & he seems relative "happy" with me.... so, that's Ok, I guess !! I'm still taking load of pills.... but.....We're counting down the weeks & days, until my next surgery - so, we're working on - once I've had that - I should feel a lot better !! We'll see how things go. I'm not looking forward to the various "bits & bobs" - but, it should make life a lot better !! Time will tell......
It's been a sort of weird day. I went with B into town this morning & all was going well - until we went to ASDA, to do a bit of shopping. We always park - if we can - in the disabled section of the car park. No big deal - or so I thought !!
When we came out to the car - I couldn't get to my door, of our car - as the guy in the next bay, was parked with his door open. I didn't worry, I left my wheelchair at the back of the car & worked my way to the side..... I got into the car & closed the door, while B sorted everything out.
I heard the guy say something & B answer him.... the guy asked who the wheelchair was for !! He must of seen me come out & get to the car - yet he suggested we were only parking in the bay to get out of parking fees & using my chair as a 'prop'.... the idiot !! When B told me, I was sooooo angry - but, by then, the guy had gone !! I hope I see him again, I'll run over his feet - after all, if I'm not disabled, I won't be able to use my chair properly - so...... Honestly, I couldn't believe it !! Oh well - it's a life I guess !!
I was playing some music - it was Heaven's 'Brass Rock 1' album. It came out in 1971 & I've had the Lp's & now I have the Cd... it's pretty good & - if I'm lucky - I might play it again, after ME has gone upstairs !!At the moment, I'm having to put up with 'Judge Judy' - no big deal, I've sort of 'switched off' to it.... ME has had a very hectic week - so......
I mentioned that B was sick last night - she slept like a log !! I think she is still a little under the weather - but, she wanted to go to the gym, for a class. I did suggest she went tomorrow & rested tonight.... but, not my B !! Hopefully she'll be a little better in the morning !! I think we have to go back into town - so... we'll see how things go !!
As for my plans - well.... I don't (again) really have any. I hope I'll be well enough to go to Church on Sunday...... All will depend on how things go tomorrow I guess !! At the moment, I'm Ok - so..... we'll see.
We did hear from a lady in the Church today, asking how we were & if we needed anything. That was nice - tho' it's taken 3 or 4 weeks for it to happen !! Never mind... each to their own I guess. I would of liked to have heard from someone before now - but...... each to their own !!
As for this evening - well... there will be some music & I'll be getting myself ready for bed. In the meantime, it will be a "quiet night in"....... listening to Judge Judy - which has just finished !! Yippeeeeee - now for some 'musak'......
I am now playing a concert from 1970 by Ten Years After. I've just worked out, it's nearly 42 years old !! heck - I remember when it first came out on bootleg !! This is - the one I'm playing - the official Cd's that came out a while back........... not sure exactly sure when. It's good tho'........
I've not had any new Cd's from anyone today - tho' I did get a copy of 'Man Of La Mancha' . It's the "new Broadway cast" version... I already have the "original Broadway cast" version & I wanted to check how good (or bad) this one is against it !! This 'new' one has the brilliant Brian Stokes Mitchell in the lead role, so it can't be all that bad !! I'll give it a good play over the coming weeks & see what it sounds like !! I'll keep you posted.......
....... & talking of posted. I had an e-mail this morning from my friend who has sent the latest Led Zeppelin bootleg my way, via a guy in the village. The e-mail was a big "sorry" that I've not had the discs yet & something about somebody forgetting to do something & so on & so on........ I was promised this recording weeks ago - nearly months ago now - "sorry's" don' t really count anymore !! Honestly - the guy wonders why I don't loan him Cd's & then this kind of stuff happens over & over.... maybe he should look in the mirror from time to time !! Who knows - I might get the recordings before the new year !! We'll see.... but, I'm not holding my breath !!
Enough moaning... it's time to turn the music "down to deafening" & enjoy the rest of the evening...... so, until next time - thank you for reading... my friends in India, its good to know you're there !!
