Gov't Mule 'The Deepest End'

Greetings World's !!

It's another Friday - here in England....... and, it's going to be an interesting day !! More of that later... first, the family !!

I'm home alone, at the moment... save for the 3 cats. There might be a 4th one hiding some place, but... I've not seen her anyplace !! Two of the boys were asleep on the bed, when I woke this morning... and the 3rd was on my stairlift seat !! Oh well - as I've said before - it's nice to know that they let us live here with them !!

Anyways - back to the rest of the family..... The ladies of the house, well - ME wanted to go shopping & B got taken along, for the ride !! They've only just left - so.... I guess they will be back in about an hour..... or so !!

With J away - with his friends - before returning to Uni... well, that leaves me here..... as I said, on my own - playing a Gov't Mule album....... and, that's who I'm going to list, today. I mentioned that I was going to write about albums that had an effect on me, and an album by the Mule.... well, I'll try & explain !!

Long term readers will know, that I have a "love" for Allman Brothers albums - especially their 'Instant Live' sets........ well, I knew that Warren Haynes (of the Allman's) had a side project, another band - who he played with - called Gov't Mule.... but, I couldn't get my head around their Cd's.... no matter how hard I tried !!

Then one day, B took me to a record fair & I found a 3 disc set, by the Mule, for £4.99....... so, as the money was right, I went for it - to say the least, it hit all the right buttons with me & since then, I've bought s further 10 or more albums by them !!

The album I bought was called 'The Deepest End' and - I'm guessing I've written about it before... but, the tracks are:

Now then... with the Cd's lasting 2 hours 34 minutes & the DVD lasting 3 hours 6 minutes.... and all of the different songs & guest artist who come on stage - this was the album that converted me to the Mule !! Try and check it out... it's really good - go on, order yourself up a copy !!

I'll write about more albums... as the year goes on.... especially ones that changed my life, in one way or another !! Moving on......

Oh - just one more "musically related" thing....... In the post, this morning, B's last Christmas pressy got here !! Finally - I had all but give up on the thing.... it had taken so long to get here !! I'll let you know what she thinks about it, the next time I write....

I mentioned earlier, that today is going to be an interesting day. Well - in a few hours, I have to go back to the hospital, to see the guys who did the plastic surgery on my back !! I only want to know 2 things -

(1) Why did the skin graft fail & (2) What do they plan on doing next.... after all, I still have a hole in my back, which hurts like hell..... and - I think - I should get some answers to the above questions !!

I'll let you know how I get on..... it's going to be interesting & that's for sure !! For now tho' - I must be on my ways... things to do & stuff....... so...... until next time...

Bye Bye
