More Transatlantic.... Ho-hum....

Greetings World's !!

I's another Friday & the end of another week - here in old England... well, the end of the old "working week" - if you know what I mean !! I'm home alone, at the moment... I'm thinking about heading back to bed, in a little while - not yet tho' !!

I was going to write & tell you that B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - had just left here - heading towards her Dad's house, in the fair city of Wells.... about 40+ miles from here - however, just before I had the chance... B was on the 'phone !!

She had only gone a few miles, when her mobile went off, sooooo - she called me, incase I had a problem !! That was nice - but, as I'm fine - and we have no clue, who called her 'phone - she has headed back on the road, so - I'm still home alone !!

The reason, for her trip... to her Dad's.....

Well, it's the anniversary of her Mum's death - so, she is heading towards her Dad's, followed by a trip to the cemetery, to put some flowers on the grave. I guess she will also take her Dad shopping as well.... he's not so good on his feet, these days - so, she'll drive him over to the supermarket.

There is also the small job of collecting her "rocking chair" !! That's going to be fun..... it's big & how she is going to get it, in our old car - well.... that's not going to be easy !! Hopefully, he hasn't changed his mind, about selling the thing !! To explain....

B has wanted the chair, for a goodly number of years - hoping, if things turned out well, her Dad would give it to her, before he died..... sounds morbid, doesn't it !! Anyhoo - she wanted the thing.... and, as you may have read before - in an earlier post - he decided he was going to sell the thing !!

Now then - if he sold it - B would not of got her wish, of owning the chair...... so, I 'phoned him up & asked/told him that I would like to buy it from him - before he sold it to someone else !!

So, today - if things work out - B is going to collect the chair & bring it home.... hopefully, it will all work out & by this evening, the chair will be here, in our living room & B will - at last - have her chair !! Time will tell, I guess.....

Going back, to yesterday afternoon.... I had a visit, from a nice pair of ladies, who came to see if they could help me, with anything in the house..... and beyond, really !! The main thing, that I really wanted, were a new pair of walking aids..... and, it seems, that I should be getting those, sometime in the next week or so !!

When I left the hospital - last year - I really wanted to avoid the type of sticks, that I now need.... but, as I keep making a complete idiot of myself, on the sticks, I have at the moment - the newer sticks, I hope, will help me to stay upright !!

Hopefully, I should be able to use them easier - but, I won't know, until I have them !! I will keep you posted, on how things go - and how often I fall over..... falling over my own feet !! Ho-hum.

Last night, B & I went shopping.... and, on the way home, we made a really big mistake !! We picked up a "take-a-way" from a guy who comes around to the village, on a Thursday afternoon/evening selling fish & chips.

We've been tempted before - but, last night, we decided to buy some, as we came by, on our ways back to the house. They were  complete crap !! Honestly, some of the worst I've ever had the misfortune to
eat !! The chips were full of grease - as for the fish... I thought cod was meant to be white.... not pink !! Never again.... !!

Anyways - that was yesterday.... this morning, I had another trip to the local Dr's - once again, to have my dressings changed !! It never seems to get any easier... pain wise !! Nevermind - the job is done now - so, hopefully, the dressing will stay on, until Monday - when it's due to come off again. Such fun - I can hardly wait..... I must be mad !!

Yesterday - I was playing a live set, by Transatlantic..... 'Live In Europe'. Well - that set was recorded 13 years ago.... today, I'm playing the set that the band have just released. It was recorded in Tilburg - in the Netherlands.... as was the 2001 set - so, they must enjoy the place !! I might have already told you, about the tracks, on this new release - if so, skip ahead !!

Ok - my plans for the rest of the day...... none at all really !! I think the new Elder is coming over, at some point - one of the guys has gone up to London, sooooo - we have a newby Elder !! I hope - well, I would kind of like to get a bit of a rest, before they get here........ if nothing else, to get over last nights fish & chips !!
