Greetings World's !!
It's a wet & blowey Friday, here in England. Looking out thru' the window, the trees are going this way & that... with the birds doing their very best, to keep up with the breeze !! Some of them - well, they are just going backwards, more than forward !!
Ok - first up - it wasn't until earlier, that I realised I hadn't posted anything, since Tuesday !! Sorry about that.... I've had a funny couple of days & things got a little bit behind. I have no real excuse - well... that's a lie !!
To explain....
Earlier, this week.... our Son J - well, it's hard to explain really, other than to say, we're both pretty pissed off with his attitude. He keeps writing these various things - on "Facebook" (I believe) about how things are sooooo bad, as far as money is concerned.... how he's having to live off just small amounts of cash, each week.
A month or so back, I e-mailed him, to see if he was coming home, for the Summer - if so, B would drive up & collect him, from Wales. He replied, about starting a year, in Newbury.... which, we assumed, with out further information, that meant he wouldn't have time, to come this way.
Anyhoo - B was getting worried & upset about some of the stuff, he was writing on "social media" - so, I mailed him again, to see if he needed some cash... to help him out & how, if he wanted, he could still come here & how it wouldn't cost him anything !!
Then, we get this reply, about how he couldn't afford to come home - well, here at least - and how he was having to leave stuff, with friends & so on & on & on !! Sooooo - I mailed him again, pointing out, that he was saying all this, about not being to afford stuff - when, in fact, he didn't have to worry about it !!
Honestly - I know he hates my guts - but, he is writing shit, which is un-needed & quite honestly, is upsetting B, more & more !! It's got to me, as well..... it really has.
My health is crap, at the moment & - I'm trying to be "Mr Nice Guy" - only to have my words & his words, thrown back in my face. I've really got to the point now, where I've had enough.... I'm struggling here, on a day to day basis - I don't need shit like this, piled up on top, of everything else, that is going on !!
That's the main reason, that I didn't write anything, on Wednesday.... I had my brain all messed up, thinking about J's e-mail & the stuff he has written. I couldn't sit here & think about anything other, than the crap J had said !!
I know - he's playing "mind games" or whatever you want to call it.... but, I am really, really pissed off with it all now. I've told J, I won't be e-mailing him again...... I have had enough, I really have. To screw around with me, in this week, of all weeks - well..... fuck it all !!
Sooooo - that's the main reason, for not posting anything, over the last couple of days. It's not an excuse - but, it's all I've got !!
Moving on - to the rest of the family...
As I type, B is upstairs, doing a bit of housework.... every now & again, I hear the vacuum cleaner, sucking the carpets off of the bedroom
floors !! It's a good cleaner - just crap carpets !! One day, we'll consider paying out, for new ones.... that will depend on a number of things, mainly, how long I intend staying here !! Time will definitely tell, on that one !!
As for our Daughter, the blond bombshell..... maybe, I should say the un-exploded bomb, ME - well, she is coming over later in the day. Her partner - M - was/is going out for the evening, so ME is coming here for supper. As always - it will be brilliant to see her !!
It was M's birthday, yesterday... so, I think, he is having an evening out with some friends. Have a good one M - now get back to work !!
So - apart from the 4 cats - that's about it, as far as the family members go !! Bless them all...... I love all of them, but..... !!
As for the music of the moment....
I'm playing the 2012 album, by Black Country Communion - 'Afterglow'. It's the first time, that I've actually heard it..... I only picked it up, on Wednesday. So far, so good.... I enjoyed their 'live' album, sooooo - it's pretty good, to hear the studio versions !!

As for Jason Bonham's drum work.... not only, is he a nice guy to talk to, he is one great drummer !! Buy anything, that contains his work & you'll come away happy !! 'Cry Freedom' is well good....
Add to the above... I also picked up copies of Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' - with the extra 3rd disc. The Beach Boys 2 Cd set 'Live - 50th Anniversary Tour'.... I saw it, so thought "Why not ?!" Status Quo's 'Acoustic - Stripped Bare' set & The Doobie Brother's 'Southbound'.... + The Flying Burrito Brothers 2 Lp's one 1 Cd set 'The Gilded Palace Of Sin' & 'Burrito Deluxe' !!
I've always had a soft spot, for the Burrito's - ever since I bought their 'Last Of The Red Hot Burrito's' live album, many many Moons ago !!
There used to be, this really good record shop, in Taunton, (Bath Place Records) run by a guy called Chris.... if you wanted it, he would know where to find it !! I bought way too many albums from that guy - who, I guess, is dead by now ?! Oh well...... moving on...
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day...
Well, at some point, a guy is coming over, to give my stairlift chair a service. B & the guys, had it put in, in 2013 - while I was getting over the hardest part of my surgeries. I didn't really want one - a chair - but, it has payed for itself, over & over again !!
The warranty expires, in a few days.... sooooo - I decided, it was about time, to get it fixed up !! It will still cost over £70, but... at least, if it's fixed now, the warranty will pay for it - well, I hope so, at least !!
Add to that - I'm still working my ways thru' the Cd's - getting them sorted out, into a kind of order & listing them up. That ways, should I pop my clogs (rewind to just before Easter) the guys will have something to work with !!
For now tho' - I must go.... it's time for some morphine & a cookie to help it go down !! I understand, why it taste sooooo bad - to stop people just drinking it in the gallons.... but, come on guys, you could make it taste a little better !!
I must go..... I see, from an e-mail, that my Nightwish stuff has been posted !! It won't get here, until next week (I guess) but, it will give me something to look forward too !! I really am hoping the double Lp picture discs will look as good as they do, in the magazine !!
I will let you know, just as soon as I get them, out of the packaging..... until then, I thank you all, for taking the time, to log in & read my words... until next time..

'Game Of Thrones' & Led Zeppelin...
Greetings World's !!
A big "Hi !" to my German reader.... it's good to know you are logging in, as it is, with all of you... those who find this blog, by accident - or on purpose. Thank's for taking the time !!
I wasn't going to post anything, today... instead, I was going to clear the computer table, of all of the various Cd's that have found their way here & were literally taking the table over, as they piled up, one on top of the other !!
My plan, quite simply, was to sit here - no matter how long it took - and work thru' them all !! So - that's what i did !! For the last few hours - I have done one Cd after another... and, much to my surprise, I've completely cleared all of them !! I can't really believe it.... I can see the table top !! It's amazing !!
As I've done that... I decided to log in & see what was happening, in my little Universe - all I can say is "Nothing much !" Now I've cleared all of the Cd's - I'm at a bit of a loss, as to what to do next !! It's Ok... I have plenty to do.... even if I don't actually do it all now !!
It's a Tuesday, here in England... the Sun is bright, the sky is, a kind of, blue & the music is blasting it's way out of the Bose !! I'm home alone, as I type these words - sooooo, the music is just turned down to deafening & I'm letting the village know I'm here !!
As I hit the keys, I'm listening to a Led Zeppelin collection, that I found a short while back. I'm not going to give you all a track listing, mainly as there are 50 of them & I honestly can't remember what's on the Cd's !!
There are 4 discs, in total.... and I put the 50 tracks on, from a magazine poll, that was done some years back. Readers were asked, to send in their personal top Zeppelin tracks & the magazine printed up the results.
I've just heard 'The Song Remains The Same' & that's being followed, un-surprisingly, by 'The Rain Song'. Beyond that, I don't know what is coming next........ other than the Cd has just jammed !!
That's a bit of a bummer - so, that disc can go into the bin !! I'm trying a 2nd Cd now... 'Dancing Days' is playing, not one of my favourite tracks - tho' it came over well, on Zep's 1972 tour. Oh well.... hopefully this one won't jam !!
I can't remember how long ago, I actually recorded these Cd's... I'm guessing it's "old age" that has got the better of them, hence the skips. Oh well - I'll see how far this Cd plays.... ?!
As mentioned, I'm home alone.... B has gone over to the M & M's house, to help with their back garden. ME was here, last night & we talked it over.... so, B went over today, to try & help.
There is a load of gravel, over the garden, so the plan was/is to move it, to the outside edge & pile it up, in a kind of border. Hopefully it will work....
The 2nd Cd has just decided to play up... so, that's another one for the bin !! I'll try & do a new copy, if I can work out a track listing & go from there. For 2 Cd's to play up... well, it's probably my recording, rather than anything. Plus - as I said above - I suspect there is a bit of an "age" problem, with the discs.
Right - as I've finished doing the Cd's - on the table - I'm going to sit down & watch last nights episode of 'Game Of Thrones'. Ok - I've already watched it, but - it was a good episode & I can watch 'Thrones' over & over !!
Last nights was a great one !! Cersei finally got a bit of a bit of what she deserved.... and, good old Sam got it on with Gilly.... well, more the other way around, but... !! It was a great bit of TV - well, I think so, at least !!
So - that's a bit of a plan.... watch TV & - maybe - try & do a track listing, of these Cd's. If 2 have skipped, there is a great chance they all will !! Nevermind... it's all good !! Life is good....
I must go....

Darwen, Lancashire... 1976. Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
I've taken a couple of days off... for some reason, I never got around to posting anything, over the last couple of days. Sorry about that !!
Anyways - it's a very bright Monday "Bank Holiday" here in England. There is not a lot of blue sky, out thru' the windows, but... it's really a warm day. B & I went into town, just a short trip... and it was really great, to drive along, with the windows down & an old Dio concert, blasting out thru' the speakers !!
As for now - B has gone upstairs, to attack a bit of housework. I've tried to get her, to give up on it, for today.... but, no - she wants to get it done, sooooo....
To be honest - I didn't really wake up, until Noon !! I'm still finding, that my morning pills & potions, are knocking me sideways. It's been that way, for a long time now, which is not too good.
It's Ok - if I wake up, in the wee hours & take them then - but, if I land up, taking them too late, I'm right back to sleep !! Bit of a bummer
really !!
B said that I took a sleeping tablet, at 1am.... but, I've checked the box & it doesn't look like I took anything extra. I might be wrong, but... there are 6 missing & that works out right. I'm probably wrong - but, I don't remember taking anything in the night !! Oh well... moving on !!
Last night, we sat down & watched the first of the 'Die Hard' films.... It's been a while, since we had seen any of them, infact - according to the box, the film came out in 1988 !! I didn't realise, just how old it was !!
B bought me a box set of Blue-ray editions of the 5 movies.... sooooo - we're going to have plenty to watch, over the coming nights !! I know, that I've seen the 1st two & probably the 3rd one, as well... I can't really remember !! It makes no difference, we will sit & watch them all.... it's was a lovely gift !!
This coming week - if all goes well - I'm treating myself to a double, picture disc Lp set Of the last Nightwish album !! I saw it on the same web site, that I bought the 10 inch coloured vinyl singles, sooooo - I'm going to treat myself to the album !!
Ok - I have the album, 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' already, on Cd.... but, I can't pretend, that the picture discs haven't put a hook in me !! I'll see how things go, later in the week..... time will tell, as I often write !!
At the moment, I'm playing the 1974 'Live' album, by Barclay James Harvest. I bought it, some time back, at our local 2nd hand record shop. I've not been in there, for a while.... so, maybe the guy who owns it, might have some "new" stock in, by now.
I don't like going in, too often, because it's not always the case, there is anything "new" to buy. I sometimes come home, with a few gems... but, not always. I'll see how I feel, later in the week & I'll, maybe, pay him a visit.

It was a very bright & warm August day.... and, considering, just how many times, I've been back to Darwen - it's the only time, that I've made the climb !!
Oh well.... if you're in that area & - for some reason - you're reading my words... give the folly a wave, I doubt if I'll ever visit again, so say "Hi" for me !!
Right - I must go.... I've very little to do, but.... I need to crack on with it !! To my immediate left, I have 4 heaps of Cd's. My plan today, was to sort thru' them & put them back on the shelves... it might happen, but.. it's unlikely !!
Our prayers are with the people, in America, suffering from the floods...

David Gilmour... & other stuff !!
Hi & Greetings !!
I hope your part of the Universe is treating you well - blue skies & warm weather ? Of course - if you live somewhere completely different - you might be glad, just to see the rain..... and things !!
It's a Friday, I think, here in England.... I just went outside & it's kind of warm... with a nasty wind. Sooooo - as I'm feeling a little "poorly" - I've decided to start the fire off, just to warm myself up. It might be, the back end of May - but, there is nothing like a warm, log & coal fire, to make a house a home !!
As I type - I'm home alone.... B has been in town, for most of the day. She has just 'phoned, to say she is leaving the M & M's house & heading towards the supermarket. To be honest, when she left here, this morning, I didn't know she intended going around, to visit our lovely Daughter.... but, it's no biggy. I was just surprised, when I woke up, at 3.30 - to find she wasn't home !! Oh well...
I had to get up, anyhow..... our blessed Archie, was poorly & I had to clean up his bit of puke. Poor little mite. All he did, was make these little "meep" sounds, that he comes out with, when he's not too happy with himself !!
It's Ok now... the mess is clear & he's gone outside. Not - of course - to be woken up, but he had to wake up, just a bit, to head on, to the big "out-doors" !! Moving on....
I don't think, that I posted anything, yesterday - I can't really remember !! Anyhoo... if I didn't... sorry about that. I know, it was a busy day - so, I'm guessing I didn't get around to it.
We did have a very quick visit, from the Elders. I don't really know why, they come here.... other, of course, to get some of B's fantastic cooking !! They left here, with a great chunk of cake, so... that should feed them, for a few minutes !!
I might go to Church, on Sunday.... it's nearly 2 years, since my last visit !! If you go back, to 2013 - you will read, just how pissed off, I
was !! I went to Church, expecting to be allowed to speak... to bear my Testimony & take part in the service.... only to find myself, shut in the Bishop's office, for over 90 minutes !!
That was Sunday 26th May 2013..... The following day, I went into the hospital, for my back surgery. As it was - I didn't come home for 3 months. One surgery turned into 6 & I spent the biggest part of the Summer, in pain & staring out of hospital windows !!
It was & remains, one of the darkest parts of my life...... you kind of remember the times, when you get shit on & plan to do this, that & the other.... only to find, that your life has taken a curve ball & knocked you sideways !!
Oh well.... that was 2 years ago.... I didn't expect, after all this time, to be sat here, in this room, typing on this computer..... still having to visit the nurses, every other day - just to get my dressings changed.
I would not change things - the back surgery, that is.... I'm pleased, that I had it done - altho' it has taken sooooo long, to get better & stop hurting !!
I saw the nurse, this morning. The wound is still open.... so, there is that to deal with, but - it's Ok. I'm getting very used to the pain now !! It's amazing, what you get used to.... even the bad bits !!
Going back, to yesterday....
I spent a very long while, sorting out some Cd's.... trying to get thru' the 50+ Pink Floyd albums, that are on the various shelves !! I think I've done all of them - tho' I'm missing one Cd, from their 1977 American tour !! I know it's here, someplace... I just don't know exactly where !!
It's dumb, I know... to be missing one Cd & even worse still, to know there is a Cd missing !! Nevermind... it is either lost, or it will turn up - that;s about it really.... no biggy !!

To be honest, when she left here, this morning, I didn't know she intended going around, to visit our lovely Daughter.... but, it's no biggy. I was just surprised, when I woke up, at 3.30 - to find she wasn't home !! Oh well...
I had to get up, anyhow..... our blessed Archie, was poorly & I had to clean up his bit of puke. Poor little mite. All he did, was make these little "meep" sounds, that he comes out with, when he's not too happy with himself !!
It's Ok now... the mess is clear & he's gone outside. Not - of course - to be woken up, but he had to wake up, just a bit, to head on, to the big "out-doors" !! Moving on....
I don't think, that I posted anything, yesterday - I can't really remember !! Anyhoo... if I didn't... sorry about that. I know, it was a busy day - so, I'm guessing I didn't get around to it.
We did have a very quick visit, from the Elders. I don't really know why, they come here.... other, of course, to get some of B's fantastic cooking !! They left here, with a great chunk of cake, so... that should feed them, for a few minutes !!
I might go to Church, on Sunday.... it's nearly 2 years, since my last visit !! If you go back, to 2013 - you will read, just how pissed off, I
was !! I went to Church, expecting to be allowed to speak... to bear my Testimony & take part in the service.... only to find myself, shut in the Bishop's office, for over 90 minutes !!
That was Sunday 26th May 2013..... The following day, I went into the hospital, for my back surgery. As it was - I didn't come home for 3 months. One surgery turned into 6 & I spent the biggest part of the Summer, in pain & staring out of hospital windows !!
It was & remains, one of the darkest parts of my life...... you kind of remember the times, when you get shit on & plan to do this, that & the other.... only to find, that your life has taken a curve ball & knocked you sideways !!
Oh well.... that was 2 years ago.... I didn't expect, after all this time, to be sat here, in this room, typing on this computer..... still having to visit the nurses, every other day - just to get my dressings changed.
I would not change things - the back surgery, that is.... I'm pleased, that I had it done - altho' it has taken sooooo long, to get better & stop hurting !!
I saw the nurse, this morning. The wound is still open.... so, there is that to deal with, but - it's Ok. I'm getting very used to the pain now !! It's amazing, what you get used to.... even the bad bits !!
Going back, to yesterday....
I spent a very long while, sorting out some Cd's.... trying to get thru' the 50+ Pink Floyd albums, that are on the various shelves !! I think I've done all of them - tho' I'm missing one Cd, from their 1977 American tour !! I know it's here, someplace... I just don't know exactly where !!
It's dumb, I know... to be missing one Cd & even worse still, to know there is a Cd missing !! Nevermind... it is either lost, or it will turn up - that;s about it really.... no biggy !!

J. Geils Band... Ho-hum....
Hi again World's !!
I wasn't sure, if I was going to write anything, on this fine bright Wednesday...... well, it's bright, here in England's South-West !! B & I went to take some stuff, to the re-cycling "dump" & then on, to the supermarket....
From there, my plan was to come home & sort out some more Cd's... to carry on, with the list that I started 10 years ago !! I kid you not !! My plan, in 2005, was to list all of the albums & try to keep them in order... yep, that didn't happen !!
From what I remember - I've made a couple more attempts, to complete the list, over the last 10 years... all of which have fallen by the wayside. Nevermind - each time, that I get back onto the computer, I add a few more albums... sooooo - I am gaining, little, by little, each time.
But !! If I tell you, I have just piled up 200 more Cd's, in front of me, on the computer table.. well, maybe you will get some clue, as to the hole I've dug for myself !! It's all good... and it takes my mind off the pain !! That is always a bonus !!
Before heading to the "dump" - B took me down, to the local Dr's, to have my dressings changed again, such fun, I wish you could all join in. Anyhoo... the nurse I saw today - well, she has not seen me, since last Wednesday. Because of this - these few days, she was really surprised, that the wound has got deeper !!
She was surprised !! Not so surprised, as I was - when she was sticking all of this junk, into the wound - to pack it out !! Honestly - I don't mind... I just wish it wasn't so bloody painful !! Hopefully, it will gradually come back, together again ?! I had hoped, by the 28th, it was going to be all closed over & done with !! That ain't going to happen, which is a shame..... but - Life is good !!
Going back to B... she has gone on a visiting trip, to a couple of the ladies, in the village, that she has become friends with. I'm not really sure, what time she will be back - it depends how the nattering goes, I guess !!
As for the other members, of the clan... last night, the M & M's came over !! That really cheered me up !! I love the guys, I really do !! It's always great to see them again & again !! I think ME is working a long shift, today - followed by a few days break..... get some rest

I've decided to listen to 'Blow Your face Out' by the J. Geils Band.... it came out, I think, in 1976..... I found a 2nd hand copy, in a record shop in Redruth - down there in Cornwall !! I kept it, right up to I found the Cd version !! The tracks are:

I really became hooked onto the band, after hearing the odd tracks, on various albums - compilation thingy's. Then I bought their 'Full House' live set... and it all just went up & up, as far as my love of their music !!
Thankfully, I got to see the guys (only once) on stage - when they supported the Rolling Stones, at the old Wembley Stadium, in London. There are 2 things, apart from seeing the band, in person, that I will always remember on that day....
The turf. on the football pitch, was covered by wooden boards - I guess to protect it from the people watching the bands, on stage. However - someone had left the centre spot uncovered !! It meant, idiots like me, could actually stand, on the spot & look around, at the stadium.... it was really big - or, at least, it seemed like it !!
The 2nd thing - well... it was kind of weird really. I was wearing this coat, with the Bermuda crest on it.... and when J. Geils had finished, I said to the ex... something like "Come on - lets go".. Then, a guy sat close by said something like "You came all this way, just to see the band ?!" - I'm guessing he thought we had traveled the 3,000 miles, from Bermuda !! He just went "Wow !!" when I said "yes" !!
Ah !! One of the many things that have happened, when I've seen bands & can remember what happened !! Even if I've forgotten who & why, I went to see various groups... there are still things, that jump back at me !!
Right my plans, for the rest of the day... well, looking at the various Cd's in front of me... I better try & sort these out, into some kind of order, at least !! It's my fault, for moving them, to the table in the first place !!

'Merchants Of Cool'.. Bad Co. Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
I don't think I wrote anything, yesterday.... I'm not sure why ?! I think, that one thing lead to another & it all got pushed under the carpet...... nevermind !! It's another Tuesday - here in England.... and, apart from being a little on the cold side, it's really bright & Sunny. Ok - I've not been outside - but, it looks really good, out thru' the living room windows !!
One of our, better, neighbours has been here, for a good hour - mainly for a hot drink & a bit of a "natter" !! I think she just enjoys. coming into the house & sitting here, with B.... just for the company.... bless her. Anyways - she has now left, B is behind me, in the kitchen - putting stuff away - and the music is blasting out thru' the various speakers, just below deafening !!
At the moment, I'm listening to the longer version of 'The Song Remains The Same' by Led Zeppelin. The tracks are:

I do not play this version, very often, mainly as - for me - it's kind of a let down, when compared to the various bootlegs, that came out.... well, this was too little, too late !! It's all good - even if it should have the encore, at the end of the concert, not the end of the first Cd !!
Staying with bootlegs... somebody has sent me a long list, into my e-mail account, for me to look thru'. There are some interesting bits & pieces, but !! I'll see what is what - but, as I always say... don't buy bootlegs - buy the official stuff !!
Going back, to the family...
B is still behind me, in the kitchen, doing this, that & the other !! I'm glad I did the dishes, last night !! With our neighbour coming over, poor little B has got all behind, as far as her plans, of doing a tidy up, have gone. nevermind....
As for the rest of the family.... well, we've not seen the M & M's for a few days. I know they're busy - so, there is no big deal, as far as them coming over to see us. As long as they are both happy !! The same goes, for our Son - J !! We had some post, for him this morning.... so, B sent him a text & he came back with his usual "helpful" reply..... bless him.... oh well !!
I've just had one of those dumb 'phone calls - from a guy with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent.... claiming that I had an accident & wanting me to confirm my various details !! Honestly !! Where do these people come from ?! I've not had an accident - but, if he calls back - I might accidentally tell him to f**k off.... only by accident, of course !! How far from the tree, do these people think I've fallen ... to get me to give out personal details !!

Ok - Bad Co were not always my favourite band, but I did buy their first 3 or 4 albums, on pre-recorded cassette, many Moon s ago !! I'll dig them out & play them thru'. Time will tell, on that subject.
B has just reminded me... she likes Free & Bad Co - but, as far as Paul Rogers is concerned, she is not a big fan !! Too arrogant... I think is one of comments.. This is still a good live set tho' !!
B has just told me, that a woman - practicing for a talent show - has shot herself, in the head !! I guess, whatever her act was - she needed a bit more practice at it.... !! Kind of sad really..
Staying with sad... I wrote, a day or two back, about the first person, to die on our bit of the main road. Well - it turns out, he was a 72 year old guy, who lived in our village. It's quite a small place... but, so far, I've not met anyone, who actually knew the man ?! Mind you - we live in a rural area, so just because he is classed as living here, he might have lived a few miles out. Still sad tho'....
Going back, to my e-mail account..... I've bought a couple of 10 inch singles, from the Nuclear Blast web site - both coloured vinyls by Nightwish. Well, today, I've been asked to send in a "feedback" form, to say how I felt about the orders. That would be great - but, my German is not sooooo good, which means, I'm probably saying all the wrong things !! I'll get it translated.....
The singles are well good tho'...... 'Elan' is a green vinyl release & 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' is on blue vinyl. The whole packaging is brilliant - very well printed up, with great pictures & lyrics. I might even buy the Cd versions of the things... they are that good, I don't really want to damage them, by playing the discs too much.
I'll see what is available, next week... or sometime down the line !! I do like Nightwish..... well good - go out & buy there latest album, I think you will like it !! I'm about to play, the instrumental version of 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' .... the album, not the single version.... that will wake up the neighbours !!
Right - my plans for the rest of the day.... not many, as usual - but !! I am going to plod on, sorting thru' the Cd's & putting them into some kind of order !! I have done a few hundred, already - but.... there are several more to do.... I'm not really sure, just how many, as the list keeps on growing !! My fault - too many Cd's & not enough brain cells to listening to them all !!

Right - my plans for the rest of the day.... not many, as usual - but !! I am going to plod on, sorting thru' the Cd's & putting them into some kind of order !! I have done a few hundred, already - but.... there are several more to do.... I'm not really sure, just how many, as the list keeps on growing !! My fault - too many Cd's & not enough brain cells to listening to them all !!

Page & Plant... 'Together Again III'
Greetings World's !!
A Wife came home, from doing the shopping - to find her husband, stood in the kitchen, with a fly swatter. She asked "What are
doing ?"..... to which the man replied, "Killing flies - so far, I've killed 5... 3 males & 2 females". The Wife asked "How do you know what sex they were ?" "Simple" - her Husband replied..." 3 were on the bear can & the other 2 were on the 'phone !!"

A day or 2 back, we had the 1st fatal crash, out on the main road....... I don't know who it was, but... !! We did wonder how long it would take - we always have fatalities, as the road is a pain in the ass & people die, every year, as the traffic gets heavier & heavier. Our Prayers are with all those involved.
Ok - it's another Sunday, here in England's South-West corner & it's really cold outside !! It's so cold, I've actually clicked the thermostat, to bring the heating on !! I'm sat here, really cold.... sooooo... the heating has gone on !!
Mind you - I'm feeling like carp, again, today.... so - the heating is just a little treat, to make me feel a little better !! I'm just an old softy really..... nevermind. I hope you enjoyed Dawn French's joke ? When B read it out, to me, a few minutes ago, I thought "why not ?" so - I put it in my blog, for you guys to read !!
Talking of B - My Wife & Dearest Friend is outside, cutting the back lawn down to size !! Yesterday, we bought a new strimmer, to attack the longer grass.... and it seem to be working !! She is out side, happy as all can be, using her new bit of machinery !!
I did go outside, at the beginning - just to make sure that I had set it up right, for her... to which "Yes" was the firm reply. So - with B outside, I'm in here..... with the heating on, listening to 2 new albums, that I picked up, at the record fair, yesterday !!
Well - I came home, with 3 new albums.... only to find, that one of them was a re-issue of an album I already had.....sooooo - that was a bit of a bummer really !!
Anyhoo - the 3 albums were:
'Gremlins Have Pictures' by Roky Erickson
'Noita' by Korpiklaani
'Together Again III' by Page & Plant.
In a way, I came home with 2 albums, I already had.... mainly as I had the last one, on tape, from about 20 years ago !! It was the first boot, that I picked up, from their re-union 'Unledded' tour in 1995.
I can remember, when I first played it... we were living in a place, a farmhouse in Devon, At the time. It sounded sooooo much better, than the various Zeppelin boots, that I had, at that time !! I still have the tape - but, I couldn't turn down the price, when it was offered to me.... it pays to have friends, at record fairs !! The tracks are :

As for the Roky Erickson Cd..... well, I now have 2 copies, but..... what the heck !! It's not the first thing, that I've doubled up on.... I'll see if anybody else want a copy, if not - well ?!
Right - I must go !! It's moving on, time wise & I've a few things to do.... even if only a few of them are nothing much. I am trying to watch Season 5 of 'Game Of Thrones' - again !! Every time, that I put it on the TV, I see something new.

Hi again World's !!
A greeting to you, my reader, over in the Ukraine... plus, the reader over in America !! I really hope your day is going well & that my writings do not bore you too much ?!
It's also a bit of a special moment - for this old blog of mine... I've reached the 16000 page views mark !! Heck - it's come a very long ways, since I started, back in 2010 !!
Back then, I didn't know if anybody was going to read my words.... now, well... 16000 !! Kind of weird to know, that some many people, from all around the World, have logged in & read my posts !! Great stuff - life is good !!
Ok - it's a Friday afternoon & we're sat here, B & myself, just having a quiet few moments, together - before My Wife & Dearest Friend, goes upstairs, to work on one of her craft projects.
I think she is making a bag, for the Daughter-in-Law, of one of our better neighbours !! I'll give B her due - she makes a really great bag...... I think she has done about 5 of them now - well good !!
Right - it's a Friday afternoon & I'm sat at the computer table, listening (again) to the Dream Theater live set... 'Breaking The Forth Wall'. I wrote about it, a few days back.... sooooo - check out the tracks from then.... it's still a great listen tho' - even if I do play it, over & over !!
I have spent, the biggest part of the day, so far, on sorting thru' the Cd's..... I still have a really long ways to go, but - for now at least - I am taking a break. My brain, what little there is of it, needed a break..... there are only so many times, that I can look at a Cd spine, to find out the various names & stuff !!
I think that I've done the biggest part of the Deep Purple, Neil Young, ELP & Rush collection.... I will probably find some more - as I go along.... but, that's the whole point of doing them - to try & sort them out & put them into, some kind of, order !!
I did find an old Cd - well, a few years old - by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young which I had been looking for... well, for a little while at least.... 'Deja Vu Live'. It says, on the Cd label, that it came out in 2008..... I didn't realise it was that old !! Anyhoo - the tracks are:

3) After The Garden
4) Military Madness
5) Let's Impeach The President
6) Deja Vu
7) Shock & Awe

9) Wooden Ships
10) Looking For A Leader

For me, it's a really good 'live' set... I enjoyed Neil Young's 'Living With War' album & this takes over, from that Cd - giving some good versions of, the albums, various tracks.
But - if you really want to check something out... go for the DVD, which shows the band, doing their thing !! It's well worth your money, if you see it anywhere !! I enjoyed it... but, that's just me !!
I still rate their 3 Cd set 'CSNY 1974' as one of the best 'live' albums, that I have here in our collection. If you can afford it, go out & treat yourself.... Ok - I know, when it came out, it was £60 - but, for me, it's been worth it, as I play the Cd's over & over... either here, in the house, or on the iPod thingy, in the car.... it's really good !!
Tomorrow, there is a record fair, just up the road.... so, I will go along & meet up with some friends - maybe see what they've got new... well, new since I last saw them, 2 weeks ago !! I'm not really expecting to buy much... but, it's worth it, just to say "hello" to them !!
I want to see if they have any info, on the guy who was trying to sell me Zeppelin bootlegs, at the fair in Exeter. I had not come across him before - so, I would be interested in who he was & what have you. I am always a bit aware, when it comes to people, that I don't know, trying to off load Zeppelin stuff.
Anyhoo - that's not until tomorrow....
As for my plans, for the rest of the day... well, as it's getting late-ish, I'm just going to shut everything down & watch a bit of TV. There is very little on - but, the start of 'Andromeda' Season 5 is on tonight, so i want to catch up with that, if I can.

No idea, where things are going....
Greetings World's !!
It's a very wet & dismal Thursday - here in England..... B did the lawns, yesterday... good job to !! Today - well.... the grass would of been way too wet !!
Talking of the lovely B.... ME has just taken her out, to do a bit of shopping. Our Daughter had been waiting, for a carpet man, to fit a new thing in the M & M's "Man Cave"..... as that was done - she 'phoned to see if B wanted to go shopping & that's where they've gone !!
That means, I'm home alone... again !! It's Ok tho' - if things go to badly, I'll just head up to bed.... my little home from home. As it is - my bloody back is still hurting like hell, since my fall - last Friday night - sooooo - laying on the bed, well... it sounds like the right place to be !!
As for the other member of our family... our Son J - well, there is bugger all I can tell you about him. He has made some kind of comment - on Facebook (I think) about money..... so, we offered to send him some, to help him out, nothing more. However... we've been told, if we send him any cash - he would send it back !! Great stuff...... !!
I have no idea, exactly where things are going.... as far as he is concerned. He has his life & that's about all I can tell you about him !! In 2 days - I reach a bit of an anniversary, as far as the family are concerned...... J, if you're reading these words - I have not forgotten !!
Just remember, if you will, that altho' you hate my guts - your Mum still loves you !! Me - I've all but given up. You have your life - mine is gradually coming to an end.......as things recently proved - deal with your hatred, in any way you want.
Jesus - that was deep !! Moving on.......

I've dug out Led Zeppelin's official live release 'Celebration Day' - from their December 10th 2007 concert. Why it took sooooo long, to release this, I have no clue. Within weeks of the show, there were bootlegs flying around the Universe.... why not release it earlier ?! I guess the band had their reasons.... bugger if I know what they were tho' !! The tracks are:

It was a great concert - as the bootlegs show, but this official version... it really does lack atmosphere, something the bootlegs had in abundance !!
As always - I'm not telling you, to go out & buy bootlegs - always buy the official releases..... but, as with many a bands official live albums, something gets lost, in the transfer, from concert to release !!
Nevermind - it's always been the same...... I have too many live albums, where the quality is not what I had hoped for. Oh well.... I enjoy live albums, so it's my cross to bear really. It will not stop me buying them & that's a fact !!
On Saturday, there is a record fair, here in our local town.... I'm looking forward to seeing my friends again !! Some of them do not make it, to the Exeter fair....... so, it will be good to catch up !!
I want to know, if my main friend at the fairs, knows who the guy in Exeter was, who was selling Zep boots. I had not come across him before - so, it's always good to find out about people I've not met in the past !!
He was quite keen, on selling me stuff - but.... even if I was prepared to buy anything, from him, his prices were way to high !! Besides - I have everything he was trying to sell me. Life is good...
As I've typed - the TV is showing 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' again..... It's the old black & white version... far better than the newer release !! I have a copy, on DVD - but... the TV was showing it, so I decided to give it a bit of a look-see !! A really good film....

I was trying to put them, in a kind of A-Z order... but, that hasn't worked for me, in the past - so, I'm working on a band by band thingy now. 'Endless Forma Most Beautiful' - again !!
Hi again World's !!
It's a very warm Wednesday, here in England's South-West corner..... it's nearly time for the tourist, the Grockle season to begin !! The roads are starting to fill up & the caravans are moving to & fro the different coastlines.
When we lived, on the South coast - we wondered where the caravans were going.... or, for that matter, coming from. Now, that we've lived here, for the last 15+ years.... well, we see the caravans coming & going, just the same. So - are these the same caravans, just moving from one destination, to another ?! I suspect they are.....
Oh well......
It's a Wednesday & I feel like crap !! This is going to be a short post.... sorry about that !! I had to go down, to the Dr's this morning - to have my thrice weekly torture.... aka - having my dressings changed !!
They still hurt, even after nearly 2 solid years !! It's Ok - after all..... 1 surgery & 10 days in hospital, turned into 10 surgeries & countless stays in one hospital, or another, I should of guessed things were going to go wrong !! Nevermind.....
I saw the nurse - this morning & told her about Monday's visit to the hospital..... she was not impressed !! Still - I was glad to get home, from the hospital - even if it was a real waste of time going !! As it is - my back is still hurting, since Friday's fall..... but, what the heck.... it's only pain !!
As for the family...
My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is outside, cutting the lawns..... well, 2 of them, at least !! I'm buying a new "weed whacker" - or as we know it, a strimmer, probably on Friday.... sooooo - that will sort out the top lawn & slope. Being as it's May - the grass is growing quite well.... !!
As for the rest of the family.... our Daughter - ME - might be coming over later. B seems to think that she might show up - hope so !! I really enjoy having the guys around !!
The M & M's have loaned us the 1st & 3rd 'Batman' movies.... and I'm enjoying watching them !! After seeing the 1st film - last night - the 2nd film is starting to make more sense !! Oh well... I'm part ways thru' the 3rd one now.... looks good so far !!
As for J... our Son.... I'm not sure what is happening with him !! Simple as that really.... if he has any thoughts, about coming back this way - well, I've not been told !! But - it's Ok.... the best mushrooms are those that are kept in the dark & fed great helpings of shit........ !!

It's a very warm Wednesday, here in England's South-West corner..... it's nearly time for the tourist, the Grockle season to begin !! The roads are starting to fill up & the caravans are moving to & fro the different coastlines.
When we lived, on the South coast - we wondered where the caravans were going.... or, for that matter, coming from. Now, that we've lived here, for the last 15+ years.... well, we see the caravans coming & going, just the same. So - are these the same caravans, just moving from one destination, to another ?! I suspect they are.....
Oh well......
It's a Wednesday & I feel like crap !! This is going to be a short post.... sorry about that !! I had to go down, to the Dr's this morning - to have my thrice weekly torture.... aka - having my dressings changed !!
They still hurt, even after nearly 2 solid years !! It's Ok - after all..... 1 surgery & 10 days in hospital, turned into 10 surgeries & countless stays in one hospital, or another, I should of guessed things were going to go wrong !! Nevermind.....

A waste of a good afternoon... ho-hum !!
Well "Greetings !!" World's !!
How are your bits of the Universe treating you, this fine - very bright - Tuesday ?! I know - I guess, by the time that, some of you, read these words, it might be another day, altogether.... but... that's too complicated for my little brain !! Where I am, it's Tuesday.... and it's a very bright day !!
As I type, I'm home alone..... which means the music is turned up higher than normal !! I am also having a vinyl only kind of day - which is kind of good !! To explain....
I was going to try & tidy up the Lp's, that have been sitting here, on the floor, for way too long. My plan was to probably take them up to J's room & stack them there, until such a time he might decided to come home.
However - I thought, as I'm moving them - I would give the odd 1 or 2 a quick listen !! Sooooo - as I type, I'm playing the 1972 album, by Bo Hanson called 'Music Inspired By Lord Of The Rings'. The tracks are:

I can't quite get my head around, just how dated this album sounds !! It's still a good listen - but, it sounds really "old" !! I don't know, just how else to describe it ?! Nevermind..... 'Tubular Bells' it is not.... but, still worth a listen, if you get the chance.

As her Mum & Aunt were/are twins, today is their birthday. She only left, a short while ago - so, I guess she won't be home, for a few hours at least..... depends on how long she spends talking !!
Of course - she might go over & see her Dad, as well.... so - that will add to her journey time !! So.... I will see her, when she gets home.... whenever that turns out to be !!
I was thinking, for a while, about going along with her..... but, we had already arranged for a guy to come over, to the house and fix a few problems with the plumbing !! We didn't really plan it this way - but, we need the pipes looked at, so I'm here waiting for whoever it turns out to be, to get here. It's a bit of a bummer really !!
Add to that - I am really knackered from yesterday's little bit of excitement.... well, something like that !! It wasn't so much "excitement" - more bloody annoying !! To explain.....

Anyhoo - back to yesterday.... more, back to last Friday night !! As mentioned before, on Sunday (I think ?) I fell out of bed & really hit the floor, with a very large thump !! Not only did I mess my back up - I managed to cut a gash into my head, as well.... not too badly, but enough to let me know that I had done it !!
Anyways - that was Friday night....
By yesterday, my back was really hurting, sooooo I went down to the local Dr's surgery, to get it checked out. As it turned out, given the problems, with my back... since May 2013's surgery... the Dr. that I saw, wanted me to go into the hospital, to get it checked out. With me so far ?"
So, that was about 9.30 yesterday morning.... and we were with her - the doctor - when she 'phoned the hospital, to let them know, that I was coming into the hospital & she wanted me to see one of my orthopedic team.... the guys who have looked after me, over the last couple of years.
Right - after sorting out a few things, B drove me to Taunton & we went to the place, that I was told to go to & let them know, that I had arrived. I don't know what time that was..... but....... !!
At 3.30pm - well... I was getting pretty fed up. Not only had we been left, just sort of hanging around - but, I had not had any opportunity, to take any of my med's !! It was the latter bit, that was making things worse..... the pain just kept on growing & getting worse, as each minute went by !!
As it was - B went & found a nurse, told her of my situation & she then gave me some morphine, to help things along. It's the stuff, that I have here, at home.... so, it helped.
As it turned out - at around 4pm, a Dr showed up & sent me for some X-rays.......... then, nothing !! B & I were taken to a little area, where there were some beds, if I wanted to lay down, but.... nothing !! We were just left there..... !!
I was asked, at one point, if I had had anything to eat..... but, nothing was actually offered to me !! I was asked, if I wanted a cup of tea - which, as Mormons, we don't drink anyway.... but..... nothing else was really offered !! It all got very frustrating, it really did !!
So - I told a nurse, that I was going to leave at 6pm.... but, it wasn't until I started to wheel myself out of the door, at exactly 6, that she realised I wasn't joking !! She actually stood in front of me & told me, that I couldn't leave.... I had to be signed out.....
.... to which, I pointed out, that I hadn't actually been signed in - sooooo..... but, she wouldn't move, so I put my name, on a bit of paper & put on it "Waited tooooooooooo long !!" Much too long - I was really pissed off !! It was a waste of a good afternoon !!
I'm now listening to Led Zeppelin's 'Presence' album, from 1976.... great album !! The tracks are:

3) Royal Orleans

1) Nobody's Fault But Mine
2) Candy Store Rock
3) Hots On For Nowhere

Anyhoo - B & I left the hospital.... and headed home, feeling that we had been wasting our time !! I could of stayed at home & - probably - been better off, for it, not having to move about & crap like that. Oh well !!
I'm the first person, to say... "if you're sick, you get looked after" by our hospital system, but - yesterday was really frustrating !! Having seen my local Dr. - being told at 9.30, that the hospital were expecting me & then - more or less - nothing !! By the time, that I got back to the house, my t-shirt had blood over it, from where my back wound had leaked.... it was all very frustrating & something I will not be doing again, in any kind of hurry !!
Anyhow - that was yesterday.... enough moaning !!
Back to today.... and my very few plans......
I'm actually going to sit back & watch a 'Batman' disc, that M gave me to watch. It's the 1st one, with Christian Bale, as Batman... so, I'm looking forward to seeing that one !! Having had & watched the 2nd movie... well, I hope the 1st one will fill in some of the blanks !!
Oh - I have to 'phone a record shop, in Taunton, to see if they have one - or both - of the latest Gov't Mule albums. I had hoped to get them, at the record fair, a week or so back.... but..... nothing. I'll call them later on. Right - I must go.... things to do & films to watch !!

It's not the fall - it's the landing !!
Hi again World's !!
It's another Sunday - here in England.... the start of another week, I guess. To be honest - my weeks, well - they sort of start on a Monday & finish on a Friday. Weekends - well.... they're kind of bonus days, tagged onto the other 5 days !!
I guess, that goes back, to when I worked full time...... the weekends - well, they kind of paid the petrol, that got me to work thru' the rest of the week !! Oh well...... it was many Moons ago now !!
I should point out.... being another Sunday, I should of been up & at them, all set to head off to Church. But - unfortunately - I had a bit of an accident, on Friday night..... and, to be perfectly honest.... I hurt too much, to do very much more than sit here, at the computer, typing these words to you !!
More of that later - first "The Family" !!
As I type, B is up in her "Craft Cave" - making another bag. I think this will be her 3rd one, so far at least. ME had one, a really nice lady, across the road, had the 2nd one & this work in progress, so to speak, is for her Aunt G. I think it's her birthday, this Thursday - so B & ME are heading up to her house, at some point, to give her the little pressy !!
I think ME is going with B... I believe on Tuesday. I'm not 100% about that..... no brain, as usual !! I can't remember exactly what B told me..... oh well !!
As for the rest of the family - our Son, J... well..... I've not heard anything from him, at all.... well, not for a few weeks at least, when I e-mailed him, to see if he wanted to come "home" this Summer. He doesn't - sooooo...... there is very little, that I can say about that little subject !!
We - B & my good self - did a really good job, on sorting out his room !! All of my junk is now tidy & ready for storage, in our loft....... so, the cats are over the Moon - they can now go into J's room & spread out on his bed, in the Sun & just cook slowly away, dreaming of this, that & the other !!
Archie - the youngest one... well, he seems to have decided, that the bed is his & no one else, in our various "cat family" is going near it !! Yesterday - he was sat there, watching the bees & birds fly to & fro.... bless him !! I saw him, just a little while ago.... happy as anything, just sleeping his day away !!
As for the music of the moment..... I'm still playing the Dream Theater 'Breaking The Forth Wall' soundtrack. It was in the Cd deck & it seemed a nice thing, to play over again - so... !! It's just coming up to 'Illumination Theory'..... a great piece of music, especially "live" !!
I did the track listing, for the s/t - I guess, back on Friday..... not really sure about that.... anyhoo - something I came across, by accident, while I was going thru' the Cd's yesterday & that was Dio's 'Chasing Rainbows' live Cd.
It was recorded, in Spokane, Washington, in 1984.... I must of picked it up, some time ago - probably when Ronnie James died & his Cd's were almost everywhere !! It's good... it really is.... the tracks are:

Just going back, a short while..... I had an Allman's set reach me, with Cd 1, repeated, on Cd 2 - it was some kind of mix up, in the pressing of the disc, I guess. Anyways - a replacement disc, came yesterday.... sooooo, I now have a complete set of the bands 2014 & last set of concerts !! They're well good.... go & treat yourself to some, if not all of them !!
Ok - going back, to Friday night & my latest accident....... once again, for about the 4th or 5th time, I fell completely out of bed - landing very heavily on my back & some how giving my head a good bash. This left me, with a goodly flow of blood, until B was able to stop it !!
I don't know how I keep doing this !! All I know is, it hurts like heck & tomorrow, I will have to see my local Dr. - mainly as I am really hurting, way too much, for my liking !! As I landed, almost flat, on my back - I'm hoping that, I've not done any damage, to the metal work, in the that area !! Just sitting here..... well, it bloody well hurts !!
I'll see what the Dr. says tomorrow..... I hope, that the pain will gradually ease off, but - I need to get it checked out, just to make sure !! Life is good.... but, it's a pain in the butt, just falling out of the bed, every now & again !! I just need to get the landings right - the falling is easy !! Nevermind......

Yesterday - he was sat there, watching the bees & birds fly to & fro.... bless him !! I saw him, just a little while ago.... happy as anything, just sleeping his day away !!
As for the music of the moment..... I'm still playing the Dream Theater 'Breaking The Forth Wall' soundtrack. It was in the Cd deck & it seemed a nice thing, to play over again - so... !! It's just coming up to 'Illumination Theory'..... a great piece of music, especially "live" !!
I did the track listing, for the s/t - I guess, back on Friday..... not really sure about that.... anyhoo - something I came across, by accident, while I was going thru' the Cd's yesterday & that was Dio's 'Chasing Rainbows' live Cd.
It was recorded, in Spokane, Washington, in 1984.... I must of picked it up, some time ago - probably when Ronnie James died & his Cd's were almost everywhere !! It's good... it really is.... the tracks are:

Just going back, a short while..... I had an Allman's set reach me, with Cd 1, repeated, on Cd 2 - it was some kind of mix up, in the pressing of the disc, I guess. Anyways - a replacement disc, came yesterday.... sooooo, I now have a complete set of the bands 2014 & last set of concerts !! They're well good.... go & treat yourself to some, if not all of them !!
Ok - going back, to Friday night & my latest accident....... once again, for about the 4th or 5th time, I fell completely out of bed - landing very heavily on my back & some how giving my head a good bash. This left me, with a goodly flow of blood, until B was able to stop it !!
I don't know how I keep doing this !! All I know is, it hurts like heck & tomorrow, I will have to see my local Dr. - mainly as I am really hurting, way too much, for my liking !! As I landed, almost flat, on my back - I'm hoping that, I've not done any damage, to the metal work, in the that area !! Just sitting here..... well, it bloody well hurts !!
I'll see what the Dr. says tomorrow..... I hope, that the pain will gradually ease off, but - I need to get it checked out, just to make sure !! Life is good.... but, it's a pain in the butt, just falling out of the bed, every now & again !! I just need to get the landings right - the falling is easy !! Nevermind......
Right - I must go.... things to do & books to read....

A new day & a new Government.. sort of ?!
Greetings !!
It's a wet & not so nice Friday here in England's South-West corner !! I had to go down to the local surgery, a short while ago - it's cold & wet.... not very nice at all.... oh well... !!
I'm home alone, as I type.... B has gone into town. to another part of her carers course. She will be home, maybe in the next few hours, the course finishes at 12 & from there, she is going into town, to pick up some groceries & stuff. I don't mind being here, I have lots of music to listen to - plus I have some dishes to wash up.... plenty to do !!
At the moment, I'm - sort of - watching episode 4 of the latest season of 'Game Of Thrones'... really good !! I just hope that they don't mess around, too much more, with the plot lines, in the books !! I'm still getting used to Sansa going to Winterfell !! Nevermind... it's all good....
Well - I guess the whole World knows by now... we have the same - sort of - Government in place, after yesterday's election !! I must be mad - I was sure they would win easily - yet, I never put a bet on
them !! Mind you - I've never put a bet on anything before !!
To me - it was obvious, that all of the TV pundits had it wrong !! I don't know why - just a gut feeling I guess.... but, there was no way the Labour Party were going to get enough votes, to win seats, in Parliament & form the next Government !!
I'm not sure what they will do now - I guess they might form up, behind a new leader & try again, in 5 years time, or - hope with it's small majority, the parties in opposition will club together & bring the Conservative government down !! It's happened before - I can't really see it happening again, maybe - but, not really !!
As for the Liberal Party - well.... you jumped into bed, with the Conservatives, 5 years ago.... now, for a great many people, it's payback time !! You've lost your seats & now you all have to find other jobs !!
Our local guy - he won.... there was very little chance of him losing, as I said, the day before yesterday !! Nevermind... he's a nice guy - it's just a shame he's a politician !!

I'm listening to the latest (I think) Yes live album.... 'Like It Is'..... which was recorded just up the road from here, in Bristol, at the Hippodrome theatre !! I have seen many a good band, at the venue - none lately... but !!

Plus - I can't get my head around the band's vocalist !! One minute - some time ago - it was Jon Anderson... followed, when he got sick, by Benoit David in 2009 & now, on this album.... from last year, by Jon Davison !! Again - all very weird !!
I'm changing the music, over to the 'Live... In The Raw' album, by W.A.S.P. !! I picked it up, last weekend & I've not really played it thru' yet.... must give it a listen !!

ME came over yesterday afternoon.... she is one fantastic Daughter & she is a bright spark, that often lifts my spirits, away from the crap, that is my back wound !! Bless her.... it's always good to see her, yesterday - well, she certainly made my day !! I think she is working today - so, have a good one.... !!
Also, yesterday - a guy came out, to look at our smallest bedroom.... to check, to see (really) if it's big enough to qualify for paying the so-called "bed room" tax. Unfortunately - B got some bad info about it... and, altho' it's small... it's still too big, for paying the tax thingy. It's Ok - as I said to the guy - if we have to pay it, so be it... it's just one of those things !!
The Labour Party said - if they won the election - they would scrap the tax.... unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on your views about them, they didn't win... sooooo, we will have to keep paying for the room !! It's all good..... Life is good !! So - bugger the tax & keep

I've just seen the map, of the UK - with all the various colours, in place - showing which party won what...... much to my surprise, the Labour Party won a bundle of seats, in & around London. I'm surprised, mainly as I expected them to win in the North of the Country - but... not so much, in the South ?!
I see also - that the leader of the UK Independence Party, didn't win the seat, that he was standing for !! I guess, it's an election that will take a while to pan out.... lot's of things to sort out !! The Liberal's have lost their spot, in the Government & the Labour Party have to deal, with losing great chunks of Scotland, to the SNP !!
Oh well.... the guys I voted for, didn't win.... but - I never expected them to !! At least they go a few votes...
Right - my plans for today.... none at all really !!
I have made a good start, on sorting out the Cd collection..... but, I'm not really up to doing anymore of those today. The nurse, this morning, was new... and, she hurt my back, just a bit, when she changed the dressings. Sooooo - I'm going to take the weight off & lay on the bed, for a short while... until the pain goes away again !!
It's not her fault - but, it sure does hurt..... so, I will sign off, for today & go rest up a bit. I have to take some washing out of the machine & hang that up, to dry out a bit. So... I guess that's a bit of a plan !!

"I forgot the box" Pt 2 !! Ho-hum.....
Hi again World's !!
Is your bit of the Universe treating you Ok ?! Is the sky the right colour blue - or red, or what ever colour you prefer !! Here - well, it's going from wet & overcast, to bright Sunshine...... still bloody cold tho' !! Honestly - we're heading into the Summer & it's cold !! Come on World - find a bit of a warm spot for us !!
I mustn't moan tho' - I did go out to the local Dr's surgery, earlier - to once again, have my dressings changed. The nurse, bless her, wanted to know why part of my back had opened up again... to which I replied "I don't want to talk about it" - sooooo, that kind of killed that part of the conversation !!
There are certain things, that I do not want people to know about !! It's not me being a jerk.... I just want certain topics left off the table. Anyhoo - the nurse treated the bit of my back, that still refuses to heal & I came home, a little better, than when I went in. Life is good !!
Oh - I forgot... It's another Wednesday !! That means, tomorrow is Thursday & we all get the chance to vote in our general election !! For those of you, who live outside of the UK - this madness happens, about once (on average) every 5 years, thankfully !!
I say "thankfully" - because, if I have to sit here & listen to MP's prattle on, about why they should run the Government, any longer... well, I would happily get on a plane & fly out of here !! Of course - I haven't got a passport anymore - so, I guess I'm screwed & will have to stay put !! Nevermind.....
In this area - we have always said, that the Conservative party put a pet ape, up for election.... well, the ape would win !! It's that kind of area - where the Conservative MP has a pretty save seat.....
It's a shame really...... I like our MP !! I've met him a few times, at the college & a couple of times, while we've been shopping, in town. He came here, to the house, a while back now - but, just because I like the guy.... well, it's just a real shame that he's a Conservative !! Oh well... life goes on....
No matter - I will go down, to our local library & cast my vote...... I always try & vote, as it's no point moaning about the Government, if you don't try & vote for the person, that you want to get elected !!
Of course - you could argue, that the person "you" voted for, doesn't stand a chance, so why vote ?! Well - if you don't vote, it makes no difference who wins.... "you" didn't vote, sooooo stop complaining about who won !! Oh well..... life will go & on... come Friday, most of the votes will be counted and - I suspect - we will still land up with the same Government, so..... !! Time will tell !!
Going backwards - I must tell you about the family !!
As I type, B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - is behind me, in our kitchen..... she has just given our eldest cat "Smudge" another can of food !! B says that is his 3rd of the day !! Oh well - he's like me, old & falling apart at the seams.... so, he deserves his "extra" food. Honestly, he never seems to put any weight on - he could eat all the food in the house & still be a bag of bones !!
B also did a small bit of something, with the iron. As best as I can make out, she is making a bag, upstairs & she wanted to iron the handles, to give them some sort of extra strength - by folding them over & over. If the bag will work - well, it's a work in progress & if this one is no good, she will learn from it & alter the next one !!
As for the rest of the clan....
Well - I've not heard anything from our Son J.... he still hates my guts & - to be honest - if he is happy, with his life & where he is living, well.... there is little I can say or do, to alter things !! He has a room here, if he wants it, anytime - but, it's up to him !!
As for our Daughter - ME... well, she 'phoned earlier, to see if we were going into town, which we were not... so, she is coming over to here, sometime tomorrow. Bless her - she always brightens up my day !!
The 2 of us, this morning, spent some time sorting out my mess, in J's room..... I have boxes of stuff, everywhere upstairs !! So - with B's help, I - kind of - went thru' all of the boxes & tried to stack them a little better than they were !! Honestly - it was a bit of a mess... now at least, I know (almost) where everything is !!

I forgot to mention, that I am now the, very proud, owner of the Allman Brothers 2014 complete concert box !! It came from the Hittin' The Note web site... so, my thanks to Lady V & Sir J for all of their work & for sending it to me !!
It's brown in colour, with various bit & bobs on it.... it's really great & a worthwhile addition to my, or I should say our collection !! Plus, of course - it marks the end of the bands touring career... which is sad, but.... they have done some great music, over the last 45+ years... sooooo - the box is great !!
I doubt if I will put the Cd's, into the box - they will stay on the shelf & get played, over & over... it's a waste to box them up !! I might do it, another time.... a ways down the road... but, not for a while yet !!

All of the tracks, on Cd 3 are from the bands 'Scenes From A Memory' album...... it's well good !! Go & buy yourselves a copy of the DVD & watch the band go thru' some great tracks - a big section of which are played with the Berklee College Of Music Orchestra & Choir.
Lots of great music - especially 'Illumination Theory'.... for me, the stand out track, off the bands last album !! Of course, I'm a little bias, to that track - as the 12 inch picture disc, of it has hardly left my turntable, over the last few months or more !!
Getting off of music.. the TV is showing scenes, from the crash site of the 'Germanwings' plane, that - is seems - the co-pilot deliberately crashed into the Alps. All of this happened a few months back - not that long ago.... just before I landed back in hospital, a few weeks back.
How the guy could just crash a plane, with all of those people on board... well, it's beyond me. If you want to die, go kill yourself, not a 100+ people as well !! Our prayers still go out, to all of those people who died that day & their relatives.
Ok - back to the weekend & some of the other stuff, that I came home with !!
Apart from the Allman's concert - that I think I mentioned before..... I also came home with 2 concerts, by Rainbow + a Cd called 'Born To Rock' by Neil Young. It's a single Cd & sounds very much like an edited version of his 'Cow Palace 1986' double Cd set.
The latter came out in 2011 - the one I picked up, on Saturday, came out this year..... I'll give them both another listen & see if I can spot anything. It would be a big shame, if I already have the thing, in another form, but... it's too late now !!
I also picked up a copy of 'Live... In The Raw' by W.A.S.P. !! As yet I've not played it - but I do have a soft spot, for the band. This live set, or at least, this Cd came out in 2003 - which would explain why it was sooooo very cheap !! Oh well.... back to the Rainbow sets...
They were both recorded, with Mr Ronnie James Dio on vocals.... in 1976 & 1977 in Germany. The track listing, well - it's pretty much identical..... with the odd change.
The 1976 album has 'Stargazer' on it.... while the 1977 set list drops that track & has 'Long Live Rock & Roll' in it's place. The 1977 album also has some longer versions of various things - like a 19 minute 'Still I'm Sad'.
As long time readers will know - I like long, live recordings... so, this album is right where I want it to be, in my Cd player & getting played more & more, as each day goes by !! Thankfully - I didn't buy one of the sets, it was a gift, from a guy we know..... I'm very much in his debt !! It's a great pair of live albums..... !!
I'll probably give you a track listing, at another time... for now tho' - I must think about closing this off for today. I seem to have written more than I expected !!

So - with B's help, I - kind of - went thru' all of the boxes & tried to stack them a little better than they were !! Honestly - it was a bit of a mess... now at least, I know (almost) where everything is !!

I forgot to mention, that I am now the, very proud, owner of the Allman Brothers 2014 complete concert box !! It came from the Hittin' The Note web site... so, my thanks to Lady V & Sir J for all of their work & for sending it to me !!
It's brown in colour, with various bit & bobs on it.... it's really great & a worthwhile addition to my, or I should say our collection !! Plus, of course - it marks the end of the bands touring career... which is sad, but.... they have done some great music, over the last 45+ years... sooooo - the box is great !!
I doubt if I will put the Cd's, into the box - they will stay on the shelf & get played, over & over... it's a waste to box them up !! I might do it, another time.... a ways down the road... but, not for a while yet !!
As for the music of the moment...
Well, as I type, I'm listening to the sound track of Dream Theater's 'Breaking The Fourth Wall' DVD. It came out last year, at some point, not quite sure exactly when - but !!
The TV is on, in the corner, with the sound turned down.... as pretty much normal, for me, so I'm playing the s/t of the DVD - to keep me from throwing something at the screen, as various politicians come & go... on the BBC news channel !!
I really will be happy, when the blooming election is over !!

All of the tracks, on Cd 3 are from the bands 'Scenes From A Memory' album...... it's well good !! Go & buy yourselves a copy of the DVD & watch the band go thru' some great tracks - a big section of which are played with the Berklee College Of Music Orchestra & Choir.
Lots of great music - especially 'Illumination Theory'.... for me, the stand out track, off the bands last album !! Of course, I'm a little bias, to that track - as the 12 inch picture disc, of it has hardly left my turntable, over the last few months or more !!
Getting off of music.. the TV is showing scenes, from the crash site of the 'Germanwings' plane, that - is seems - the co-pilot deliberately crashed into the Alps. All of this happened a few months back - not that long ago.... just before I landed back in hospital, a few weeks back.
How the guy could just crash a plane, with all of those people on board... well, it's beyond me. If you want to die, go kill yourself, not a 100+ people as well !! Our prayers still go out, to all of those people who died that day & their relatives.
Ok - back to the weekend & some of the other stuff, that I came home with !!
Apart from the Allman's concert - that I think I mentioned before..... I also came home with 2 concerts, by Rainbow + a Cd called 'Born To Rock' by Neil Young. It's a single Cd & sounds very much like an edited version of his 'Cow Palace 1986' double Cd set.
The latter came out in 2011 - the one I picked up, on Saturday, came out this year..... I'll give them both another listen & see if I can spot anything. It would be a big shame, if I already have the thing, in another form, but... it's too late now !!
I also picked up a copy of 'Live... In The Raw' by W.A.S.P. !! As yet I've not played it - but I do have a soft spot, for the band. This live set, or at least, this Cd came out in 2003 - which would explain why it was sooooo very cheap !! Oh well.... back to the Rainbow sets...
They were both recorded, with Mr Ronnie James Dio on vocals.... in 1976 & 1977 in Germany. The track listing, well - it's pretty much identical..... with the odd change.
The 1976 album has 'Stargazer' on it.... while the 1977 set list drops that track & has 'Long Live Rock & Roll' in it's place. The 1977 album also has some longer versions of various things - like a 19 minute 'Still I'm Sad'.
As long time readers will know - I like long, live recordings... so, this album is right where I want it to be, in my Cd player & getting played more & more, as each day goes by !! Thankfully - I didn't buy one of the sets, it was a gift, from a guy we know..... I'm very much in his debt !! It's a great pair of live albums..... !!
I'll probably give you a track listing, at another time... for now tho' - I must think about closing this off for today. I seem to have written more than I expected !!

'Dub Side Of The Mule' & other stuff.
Greetings World's !!
It's a Tuesday... yep - it's Tuesday & I've just realised, that I've not posted anything since last Thursday !! I can't really remember "why" I've not posted anything... which is kind of weird..... got to go...!!
Sorry about that - B spotted that I had a dressing problem.... so, it meant a quick re-jig & now I'm back again !! Thankfully, there were no major thingy's wrong - I just needed a bit of stuff put over the top. Oh - such fun !!
As some of you might already know - we've just had a "May Day" holiday.... a 3 day bit of fun. That has meant, that my local surgery remained shut, yesterday, sooooo.... my dressings have had to go one day longer than normal.
I had to go to the hospital, on Sunday... to have the blooming things changed there..... but, it has meant, that I have to wait until tomorrow, before getting the things looked at again. The result of all of this, is my lovely back has had to go an extra day, before I can get a new dressing put on again. All very problematic...... hence B spotted a leak & we had to do a bit of "running repairs" - quite literally !! Oh well......
Talking of My Wife & Dearest Friend...... B has gone into town, to do a bit of a quick shop. There are a few things, that we've run out of.... plus, I think she is heading to pick up some craft type of stuff, that she needed.
I must tell you, about my new "Sock Monkey" !!
B wanted to start making them (Sock Monkeys) and, as usual - when she makes new things, I have been given the very fist one !! As I type - he is sat, right in front of me & he's really good !!
He's made up, from 2 socks - white & purple - and... well.... I think I'll call him Micky !! Why not ?! I was always a big fan of The Monkees - sooooo..... Micky sounds about right !!
Going back, just a few days... to Saturday. B drove me down to Exeter, for the record fair & a look around the shops. It was really wet & horrid - but... we had some fun !! Considering, that it was a holiday weekend - the traffic, going down,was pretty good...
Anyhoo - back to the fair...
I met up, with an old friend or two & that was good. Tho' - having said that - one of them tried to rip me off, over the cost of some Cd's !! To explain...
I picked up a couple of Grateful Dead live sets..... when I asked "how much ?" the friend said £25 each - which I was happy paying, as they were both 3 Cd sets. Unfortunately - when I said it was a good price, for a triple set - the guy took them & said he thought they were doubles !! He then jacked the price up to £50 each !!
I couldn't believe it !! It was his loss tho' - as I told him to keep them, they were too rich, for my pocket at least !! I don't mind the odd price hike... but, to double them up, just because of the extra disc !! That was too much for me !!
I did come away, with a live set, recorded at The Beacon Theatre, by the Allman Brothers... from April 1st 1994. It's only a single disc - but..... The tracks are:
