Greetings !!
It's a wet & not so nice Friday here in England's South-West corner !! I had to go down to the local surgery, a short while ago - it's cold & wet.... not very nice at all.... oh well... !!
I'm home alone, as I type.... B has gone into town. to another part of her carers course. She will be home, maybe in the next few hours, the course finishes at 12 & from there, she is going into town, to pick up some groceries & stuff. I don't mind being here, I have lots of music to listen to - plus I have some dishes to wash up.... plenty to do !!
At the moment, I'm - sort of - watching episode 4 of the latest season of 'Game Of Thrones'... really good !! I just hope that they don't mess around, too much more, with the plot lines, in the books !! I'm still getting used to Sansa going to Winterfell !! Nevermind... it's all good....
Well - I guess the whole World knows by now... we have the same - sort of - Government in place, after yesterday's election !! I must be mad - I was sure they would win easily - yet, I never put a bet on
them !! Mind you - I've never put a bet on anything before !!
To me - it was obvious, that all of the TV pundits had it wrong !! I don't know why - just a gut feeling I guess.... but, there was no way the Labour Party were going to get enough votes, to win seats, in Parliament & form the next Government !!
I'm not sure what they will do now - I guess they might form up, behind a new leader & try again, in 5 years time, or - hope with it's small majority, the parties in opposition will club together & bring the Conservative government down !! It's happened before - I can't really see it happening again, maybe - but, not really !!
As for the Liberal Party - well.... you jumped into bed, with the Conservatives, 5 years ago.... now, for a great many people, it's payback time !! You've lost your seats & now you all have to find other jobs !!
Our local guy - he won.... there was very little chance of him losing, as I said, the day before yesterday !! Nevermind... he's a nice guy - it's just a shame he's a politician !!
Right, 'Game Of Thrones' has come to an end - it's music times again !!
I'm listening to the latest (I think) Yes live album.... 'Like It Is'..... which was recorded just up the road from here, in Bristol, at the Hippodrome theatre !! I have seen many a good band, at the venue - none lately... but !!

Cd 2 is a complete run thru' of the band's 'Yes Album'. Unfortunately - as I've no doubt written before.... it's a good enough 'live' album - but, there are no new tracks on it !! I found this a bit strange - considering the band had a new album on release. All very weird !!
Plus - I can't get my head around the band's vocalist !! One minute - some time ago - it was Jon Anderson... followed, when he got sick, by Benoit David in 2009 & now, on this album.... from last year, by Jon Davison !! Again - all very weird !!
I'm changing the music, over to the 'Live... In The Raw' album, by W.A.S.P. !! I picked it up, last weekend & I've not really played it thru' yet.... must give it a listen !!

One thing, that I will say about W.A.S.P. - you get exactly what it says on the label !! It's 'live' & it's very 'raw' !! Oh well..... it's an interesting change, from the vocals of Jon Davison & that's a fact !!
Going back, to the family...
ME came over yesterday afternoon.... she is one fantastic Daughter & she is a bright spark, that often lifts my spirits, away from the crap, that is my back wound !! Bless her.... it's always good to see her, yesterday - well, she certainly made my day !! I think she is working today - so, have a good one.... !!
Also, yesterday - a guy came out, to look at our smallest bedroom.... to check, to see (really) if it's big enough to qualify for paying the so-called "bed room" tax. Unfortunately - B got some bad info about it... and, altho' it's small... it's still too big, for paying the tax thingy. It's Ok - as I said to the guy - if we have to pay it, so be it... it's just one of those things !!
The Labour Party said - if they won the election - they would scrap the tax.... unfortunately - or fortunately, depending on your views about them, they didn't win... sooooo, we will have to keep paying for the room !! It's all good..... Life is good !! So - bugger the tax & keep
smiling !!
I've just seen the map, of the UK - with all the various colours, in place - showing which party won what...... much to my surprise, the Labour Party won a bundle of seats, in & around London. I'm surprised, mainly as I expected them to win in the North of the Country - but... not so much, in the South ?!
I see also - that the leader of the UK Independence Party, didn't win the seat, that he was standing for !! I guess, it's an election that will take a while to pan out.... lot's of things to sort out !! The Liberal's have lost their spot, in the Government & the Labour Party have to deal, with losing great chunks of Scotland, to the SNP !!
Oh well.... the guys I voted for, didn't win.... but - I never expected them to !! At least they go a few votes...
Right - my plans for today.... none at all really !!
I have made a good start, on sorting out the Cd collection..... but, I'm not really up to doing anymore of those today. The nurse, this morning, was new... and, she hurt my back, just a bit, when she changed the dressings. Sooooo - I'm going to take the weight off & lay on the bed, for a short while... until the pain goes away again !!
It's not her fault - but, it sure does hurt..... so, I will sign off, for today & go rest up a bit. I have to take some washing out of the machine & hang that up, to dry out a bit. So... I guess that's a bit of a plan !!
