Jethro Tull 'Nothing Is Easy' Ho-hum.

Greetings World !!

I hope you're all doing well ? A special "Hello" to my reader in the Ukraine !! I hope you are doing well ? You - as with all of my readers - can drop me a line, via my comments section.... it's always good to get feedback from you all !!

Anyways.... it's another Tuesday, here in England's South-West corner.... and, as it's a Tuesday, I'm home alone for a couple of hours, as B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - has gone out to her weight-watchers class.

Ok, I know it's not called 'weight-watchers' at the moment... but, she has gone out to her meeting. We were talking about how much she has lost, this week, weight wise. I've gone for a couple of pounds, but she doesn't think she has lost anything at all !! I hope I'm right.... it would be a bit soul destroying, if she has not lost anything !! Oh well - I'll find out in a couple of hours, I guess.

Not to worry.... the amount of effort, that she has put into sorting out her craft cave, today - I think she has to have lost 10 pounds, just on the amount of work she has put in !!

Tomorrow, all being well, we'll attack some more of the loft space... that should be fun, working ourselves around the spider webs & everything. I'll take a brush up there & attack the blooming things...... they're everywhere !! Nevermind.

While B has been busy, upstairs... I've just been sat down here, listening to music & taking things nice & easy. I would say, I've been lazy - but... I've done all of the dishes, tidied around the living room & stuff like that.... while the music has been playing !!

As for the music...

Well, I've decided to "modify" the Page & Plant 'Celebration Days' 4 Cd set, that I mentioned, yesterday, I think. I thought, as it's only 200 minutes long, I might try & fit it onto 3 Cd's... instead of the 4 it's currently on.

Well.... that was the plan, at least. I've spent the afternoon, listening to it.... and yes, it can be altered to fit the 3 Cd format, but - I'm not sure if I'm going to bother or not. It's one of those "time will tell" type of things, that I might get around to...... not today tho' !!

Staying with music...

Last Saturday night - from Midnight, right thru' to 8am...honestly... BBC Radio 3 played, what is claimed to have been, their longest ever live broadcast, of a single piece of music.... all 8 hours of it !! The title of this opus was, un-surprisingly called 'Sleep' & was written by Max Richter. I managed to put it all, onto one DVD... but, as yet, I've only heard the first hour or so......` it's really interesting, if a little boring !!

The BBC has written, that the composer will not mind, if people nod off, while listening to it & he calls it "a lullaby for a frenetic World"...... good for him I say !! It certainly the longest bit of recording, of a single bit of music, that I have ever come across - even if I haven't managed to get past the whole "boring" bit. It's all good & that's a fact !!

... & while still with music...

As I type, I'm listening to Jethro Tull's 1970 'Isle If Wight Festival' performance.... it came out officially, in 2004 and it beats the pants off the old bootleg recordings of the same show !! It's worth a listen, if you get the chance.... the tracks are:

1) My Sunday Feeling
2) My God
3) With You There To Help Me
4) To Cry You A Song
5) Dharma For One
6) Nothing Is Easy
7) We Used To Know/ For a Thousand Mothers

To this day, I don't know if this is a complete copy of the concert...... it seems a little tight, just having a 60 minutes of the show. I know some bands, used to go on & get off stage, in under an hour.... it just seems a little bit on the short side !! Oh well... at least Hendrix played longer, when he followed them !!

Right - that's enough tonight.... I have to be on my ways.

As always, I thank you for logging in & reading my words - if on purpose, or by accident. It's good to know you're "out there" in Internet space, some place or another...... until next time...

Bye Bye
