Greetings World's !!
I hope your bit of this massive Universe of ours is treating you right ?! I'm doing Ok, here in England's South-West corner.... I must admit, I've been a little tardy, not putting finger to keyboard, for the best part of a week - sorry about that. One thing has pushed out another & before I knew it, it's been 6 days !!
Anyhoo - it's another week & a wet & breezy Monday is upon us, again. I think, last week, was really warm & dry - today tho'... well, it's not so nice outside.
As for the family... B is here, with me.... doing a bit of this, that & the other, in the kitchen.
A little earlier, she took me down to the local Dr's to have my dressings changed - again !! More on that later...... From there, we headed into town, to put some cash in the bank and to pick up some groceries. Even tho' there are only the 2 of us, living here, we still have to top the foodstuffs up, almost 3 times a week..... I've not really worked out why - it just happens that way. Nevermind.... life goes on & on....
We came home, about an hour ago - had a quick drink & watched the news..... nothing too exciting, well... around here, that is. I guess there are various things, happening around the World, that don't have an effect on me..... but, that's beyond me, I'm afraid.
Oh - one thing that does have a little bit of "something" in our lives.... that is Jenson Button is driving for his current team next year. Big "Yippeeeee" on that one !! His driving in F1 next year makes a big difference, to us at least - as it means we have someone to cheer on, next season !!
He has not had a very good run, with a crap car under his butt, for the last couple of years...... give him a good car, like an old Brawn for example, then he is unstoppable !! Oh well.... roll on 2016 !! But, back to the here & now.....
As mentioned, I had to go back down, to the Dr's this morning, to have my blooming dressings changed again...... where would my life be, with-out a hole in my back, that needs tending to, 2 or 3 times a a week ?!
Anyways, being a Monday, I had my blood taken again, to check my infection levels. As it has turned out - the last 2 tests - well, lets just say 170+ & 140+ is not not the sort of answers we've been looking for !!
Last Thursday evening, my Consultant 'phoned, from the hospital, to check up on me - as he had seen the results.
I've probably said this before - but, he's happy, if my levels stay around the (below) 50 mark..... so, to have 2 tests come back, at the 150, kind of, mark..... well, he's not too happy about that !! Oh well - he keeps telling me, to go back, into hospital - if I feel unwell.... but, I've been feeling this way, for most of the last 12 months - why should I tell him, that I want to go back, into hospital ?! Time will tell, I guess..... I'm seeing my local GP, tomorrow morning..... soooooo - I'll see what he has to say !!
As for the music of the moment...
Well - I wrote a while ago, about some old tapes I recorded, when the ex-wife (small 'w') took off. Well - as I had a load of spare Cd's, I decided to make some disc copies of those tapes. So far, I've recorded 5 & a bit (of the tapes) and that has worked out, at around 7 Cd's...... so, I have a ways to go yet.
At this very moment, I'm listening to a small section of the Lp, from the TV movie 'Sunshine'....... I'm not going into that whole thingy - but, as I'm recording the tapes, at random, this Lp has just come on !! It's weird how things go around & then come back to bite you on the butt.....
If you're interested - you can read the 'Sunshine' thingy in a couple of posts, that I wrote a while ago. It's no biggy - just the ways things work out.....
An album, that I picked up, last week, is from 2014 & is Marillion's 'A Sunday Night'...... it's another 'live' album.... but, it's great to listen to. The tracks are:
CD 1
1) Gaza
2) Waiting To Happen
3) Lucky Man
4) This Strange Engine
5) Pour My Love
6) Neverland
7) Invisible Ink
CD 2
1) Montreal
2) Power
3) Sounds That Can't Be Made
4) The King Of Sunset Town
5) The Sky Above The Rain
6) Garden Party
A goodly number of the tracks are from the band's 'Sounds That Can't Be Made' album.... which I picked up a while ago & is really good.... try & give them both a listen !!
Right, I better think about going....
I was going to tell you about the Elders, who came around on Saturday & helped us out a bit.... but, I'll save that, for another post. They're both mad as hatters, but... in a good way... !!
For now, I will be away - B wants to do a bit of printing, so she needs the computer. As always, I thank you for your time - for logging in & reading my words. I hope you are all doing Ok, out there in Internet space... until next time...
Bye Bye
