Hi everybody !!
I wish you all a very happy "Leap Year Day" !! It only happens a few times, in a persons life - sooooo.... happy 'LYD' !! It could turn out to be a very special day..... but, I'm not going to say anymore.... ?!
It's a cold, but dry day, here in England's South-West corner !! We've been into town this morning & it's not very nice out there !! Blooming chilly & that's a fact !! Nevermind - life goes on & on & on...
B is sat over to my left.... watching an episode of 'Breaking Bad' !! The M & M's loaned us their copies of the show, sooooo, we're having this great catch up session. I think we're up to season 2 or 3 now.... I've lost track !!
While we were in town, we went over to their house, just to catch up. Bless them, they've had a bummer of a night !! Nevermind - as I say, life goes on..... !!
Anyhoo.... it's been a good day, so far....
I've managed to catch up, with an old friend, from the record fairs, down in Exeter.... He sells Cd cases & stuff - but, the problem is, he stopped doing the fairs & I lost track of him, to order stuff. But, yesterday - I found his web site & now we're back in business !!
I've managed to order a shed load of stuff - which, altho' it's cost me a bit - I can happily "write it off" as I've not bought any cases for a couple of years & I won't need to buy any, probably for another year. So - it's not such a bad deal really....... I just have to find room for them, when they get here !!
'Breaking Bad' has come to an end - so.... once again, I'm listening to the Cd's I made, from 'The Hobbit' movies. I could tell you which track I'm on - I think it's called 'Shores Of Lake Town'..... but, I'm not too worried about that !! I just wanted something to listen to.....
I must buy some more ink, at some point..... I'll probably get around to it, on Wednesday - the next time, I'm thinking about going into town. It's quite cheap, in the supermarket.... well, depending what you buy of course !!
I could by stuff, in a similar type of cartridge - but, it's cheap & nasty & never seems to last very long.... compared to the official stuff. I've made that mistake before - bought cheap & regretted it almost right away !!
It either blocks the printer up, or just refuses to work properly !! Oh well - that's for another day..... Wednesday or Thursday....
Right, the music of the moment - not what I'm listening to, just what's on my mind at the moment !!
The Cd I have in mind is 'Genius - The Best Of Warren Zevon'. It's a great collection of songs, by a long lost & missed artist !! The tracks are:
1) Poor Poor Pitiful Me
2) The French Inhaler
3) Carmelita
4) Hasten Down The Wind
5) Werewolves Of London
6) Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner
7) Excitable Boy
8) Lawyers, Guns & Money
9) Interlude No. 1/Play It All Night Long
10) A Certain Girl
11) Looking For The Next Best Thing
12) Detox Mansion
13) Reconsider Me
14) Boom Boom Mancini
15) Splendid Isolation
16) Raspberry Beret (Hindu Love Gods)
17) Searching For A Heart
18) Things To Do In Denver, When You're Dead
19) Mr Bad Example
20) Mutineer
21) I Was In The House, When The House Burnt Down
22) Genius
I was playing the Cd, while we were in town.... Warren Zevon - check him out, when you get the chance... he was really good !!
Right - I best be on my ways.... things to do & think about. We have had a flood in the kitchen & I have every reason to believe, that by tomorrow, we will be Grand Parents !! I will keep you posted !!
For now, I must be on my ways........
As always, I thank you for your time & for logging in.... it's really good to know you're out there !! By tomorrow things are going to be very exciting.... until next time....
Bye Bye

'Bridge Across Forever' and other albums...
Well "Greetings" World's !!
It's the end of another week... really, not another Friday - it's actually Saturday !! As I type - I'm feeling like crap.... the main reason I didn't write yesterday.... sooooo - if this falls apart, well, blame me !!
Going back 24 hrs - I had to go to the local hospital, to have my dressings changed.... and from now on in, I can actually go down the road, to see my Dr's surgery nurses !! Not only will it save a bit of traveling, I feel much happier, being with nurses I know !!
It'll save B - who is sat over to my left, finishing a Unicorn - getting me into the car & driving me the 12 miles, thru' town & into the hospital. Anything that helps, in that respect, is fine by me !!
Staying with B.... and the Unicorn !!
She has made it, so our Grand Daughter will have one, in her room, when she comes home. ME wanted one & so B has done the deed & has made beauty !! It's white, with a yellow horn & a multi-coloured tail & mane !! It looks really good !! It's nearly finished.....
I'm not sure if we're going to drop it off, at the M & M's house, or if they are coming this way, at some point. Time will tell on that one... we will have to wait & see what happens !! It's dry & relatively warm, outside - so maybe we'll drop it off.....
This week has been a bit of a bonus really. Not only have I managed to escape going to the hospital - I've had 2 great albums, arrive !! Both are by Transatlantic & they've gone a great way towards completing my collection of all of their stuff.....
On Thursday afternoon, I had their 'Live In Europe' 2 Cd set reach me..... which was a bit of a let down, but.... Then, yesterday, I had their 'Bridge Across Forever' Cd !!
The tracks are:
'Live In Europe'
CD 1
1) Duel With The Devil
2) My New World
3) We All Need Some Light
4) Suite: Charlotte Pike Medley
CD 2
1) Stranger In Your Soul
2) All Of The Above
I say it was a bit of a let down.... mainly as I have this already, in the form of their 'Live In Europe' DVD !! Nevermind... you win some, you lose some........
The tracks on 'Bridge Across Forever' are:
1) Duel With The Devil
2) Suite: Charlotte Pike
3) Bridge Across Forever
4) Stranger In Your Soul
I can't fault this album !! It's just brilliant 'Prog Rock' and is worth having in the collection - I'm just pleased I finally bought a copy !! I've put if off, for so long.... Oh well - great music !!
As I type - I'm listening to 'The Greatest Show On Earth' by Nightwish.... another great track.... go & buy yourself, their 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' album !! I use the word 'brilliant' a lot - but, this is a fantastic track !!
I've been very fortunate, in my later life - to be able to buy all of the albums, that just take my ear..... I never dreamed, that I would have so many great albums..... I've been very fortunate & that's a fact !! Life goes on....
... and feeling like I do, at the moment, so must I !!
I'm sorry this has been sooooo short, but I really feel like crap at the moment, so I hope I can be forgiven ?! Thank you for logging in & for reading me words - it's always good to know you're out there.... until next time...

Loud music & various thoughts... Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
Is your part of the Universe treating you well, this fine Thursday morning ?! It's bright, it's Sunny & it's really chilly outside.... I've just come back to the homestead, after a quick visit to my local Dr's surgery & I'm glad to be inside again.......
It's only 9.30am & I'm up & fighting fit, for a change !! I'm usually dead to the World, at this time of the day - but, because of a little jiggery pokery with my morning pills & potions, I'm trying to stay awake. There is something, in my morning drug run, that knocks me sideways...... hence I'm usually asleep at this time of the day !!
But - with having to see my local Dr & the cooler weather... I've woken up & intend to stay that ways, for a while at least !!
Enough of me... 'The Family' !!
It's a very special day, today !! It's our Daughter's birthday !! "Happy Birthday" ME.... we love you sooooo much & wish you every happiness, on this special day !! I'll 'phone her up, in a little while - it's too early yet tho'....
As for B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - she is heading towards town, to take in her Carers Group meeting...... from there, she is going over to pay a visit to the M & M's house, to do the whole birthday greetings thing !!
She is also taking over a pile of cake, for the birthday girl..... hopefully she will like them, they look fantastic !! Happy birthday little one !!
Anyways....
With B going to be out, for the biggest part of the day.... I'm home alone & the music is way loud !! I'll come back to that, in a little while... but, Dream Theater's 'Status Seeker' is blasting away, as I type !!
Going back to yesterday.... the Missionaries came over for another visit. That's twice in less than a week - I must of been bad, or good - depending how you look at it.... to have them visit 2 times, so quickly....
As it was - they stayed for much longer, than they should of, mainly looking at my 'Lord Of The Rings' & 'The Hobbit' stuff. I showed them the fancy books I have, a special pair of editions, that were given to me, many many years ago, by some friends & my ex. They were well impressed by both - and I blew them away with how I had done 'The Hobbit' movie s/t's for myself !!
I think they would both like copies - but, as I do them, for my own use - I don't want to go about recording extra copies, for others. Don't worry M... you'll get a copy - but, you're family !! I don't want to do them for other people - that wasn't the point of doing them. I just wanted them, for myself.... and members of the immediate family !!
Anyhoo - that was yesterday..... coming back to this morning......
Across the road from our house, the Sun casts a really interesting shadow, over our neighbour's front wall. At this time in the day - their satellite dish, has this long shadow - then, as the Sun goes around, the shadows alter & then, by tonight, the Sun will come around behind our house, causing a big shadow, to cover the front wall, ever so slowly.
It's like a giant Sundial..... with our house being the final gasp, as the Sun goes down. Then - of course - the Moon will rise, above the same house & we can watch that one go over & then behind our place.... all very weird & wonderful !!
Even weirder - Dream Theater's 'The Ones Who Helped To Set The Sun' is playing, as I type !! That's a little spooky !! Oh well....
Right...
'The Music Of The Moment' !!
I don't know why I've given it a separate title/heading.... it's just what I'm listening to as I type !! That's going to take a little explaining - especially if you're new to my blog.
Going back many years, we used to do old fashion "Mix tapes". That is to say, I would put the tracks I liked, onto tape & - in my case - I would play them in the car. Moving forward in time - I've started doing them again... but, instead of tapes, I'm now using Cd's. With me, so far ?!
Over time - these collections have been given the title 'Bust A Gut' - in reference to my various health problems......... now, I'm up to 'Bust A Gut 5 - The Silent Click'..... I'm working on that one now, that is to say, it's my latest effort, at putting together a collection of tracks, that I like. Today, however - I'm playing the last one...... 'Bust A Gut 4 - Park & Ride'.
However, it dawned on me, last night, that altho' the thing is on my iPod thingy - I didn't know if I had written all of the tracks down !! It's no biggy - but, after looking at the computer, I've discovered a file & low & behold, all the tracks are in there !!
I won't bother you with all of the tracks, but the groups featured are, in no particular order:
Dream Theater
Transatlantic
Within Temptation
Nightwish
Max Webster
Rush
Allman Brothers Band
Gregg Allman
Linkin' Park
Gov't Mule
Queensryche
Led Zeppelin
Rainbow
and The Hooters
I might have missed one or two of the bands - but, only on a collection of stuff, by me, could you get such a variety !! Mind you - 'Park & Ride' does last for 14 Cd's - sooooo, I've had plenty of time , to fit everything in !!
I've no idea, just how many Cd's this latest collection will take up.... I just put on, what I like (at the time) and go from there !! So far, 'The Silent Click' has tracks by:
Dream Theater
Marillion
Nine Inch Nails
and Nightwish
Heck knows what else I'll put on the thing....... time will tell !!
Away from music...
Yesterday, I said a sad farewell, to the wonderful Vac pump, who was Gordon !! Altho' he was only with me, for a short period of time, we were very attached to each other & I will miss him !! Even if I land up having him back again, at some point - he did his job & that's a fact !!
On the up side - after tomorrow, I will no longer need to attend the hospital, for a dressings change.... next week, I'm due back at the local Dr's 3 times a week & from there, time will tell !! It's all looking good tho & that's got to be for the better..... I'm really fed up of having a hole in my back !!
Also....
The TV news is saying about a man, from this country called Jimmy Savile, who was a real pervert !! If you're not from this country, look him up on the Net, you'll be amazed at what the guy got away with, during his time on this Blue Dot of ours.
Unfortunately, he died, before everything was allowed to come light. He was, it turns out, a real bastard.... read about him, if you get the chance.
Right - I best be on my ways - so, with Rainbow's 'Ariel' playing loudly in the background, I will wish you all well & I will thank you all, again, for logging in & for reading my words... until next time...
Bye Bye

Nine Inch Nails 1994 & other stuff !!
Hi again World's !!
It's another Tuesday, here in England & it feels really chilly outside !! I'm sat here at the computer & B just left the back door open for a split second - the cold that came pouring in, was enough to freeze the fabled balls off of a brass monkey !!
No - I'm not being rude !! Canon balls, used to be kept on a square thing, called a brass monkey. This way, on board a sailing ship, in times long gone, they could be piled high, gradually tapering off. Unfortunately, when the weather turned cold - the "brass monkey" would contract, in the cooler conditions and the balls would fall off !! Hence the old phrase.... Ho-hum !!
Right - as I type, B is home with me.... a little later, ME - our daughter - is coming to visit, either before or after a visit to our local Dr's surgery........ I'm not sure exactly, what time that will be, but !!
As I type - the TV is on, playing quietly, in the corner..... our fated Prime Minister is talking about the upcoming referendum, into our staying in the EU.
It's all very surreal - as you have politicians, who under normal conditions, would be arch enemies, fighting to stay in & others, who are meant to be from the same "party" - fighting against each other !! All very weird !!
I do feel sorry for our PM - not enough to vote for him - but, he could be known, as the guy who took us out of the EU !! His place in history, is not what he might have hoped it would be !!
I've a feeling - we might find ourselves, voting to come out of Europe. With all of the migrant problems, people are not looking towards the future.... just the now. They don't want more & more migrants here, in the UK - sooooo.... they will vote to take us out !! That could cause more problems, long term for us, here in our part of England.... I don't really know...... I'm no expert & that's a fact !!
The vote is not until June 23rd (I think) so there is plenty of time, for people to change their minds, in the run up to the vote. Time will tell - at least we're all getting a vote...... that's good !!
Right - a bit of news, on the dressings front......
The Vac pump - Gordon - might be coming off, again !! I'm a little confused about the whole thing, but it seems that he is not doing a very good job, at the moment, sooooo - he might come off & a regular dressing put on, in his place.
I saw the nurse, at the hospital, yesterday and she feels I might be better off, without a pump in place. Me - I'll just go along with the flow !! If they decide to remove Gordon, tomorrow - that's fine by me. I'll leave it up to those who know more about these things...... I will let you know - that's for tomorrow !!
Coming back to today. I've been watching re-runs of 'Game Of Thrones' Season 5. With Season 6 about to be shown, I wanted to have a quick reminder about how things went. It's nearly been a year, since the last season finished !! Hopefully, the box set, with all of the extras and stuff. If you get the chance - watch the TV shows... or at least, read the books !!
Staying with older DVD's.... In the supermarket yesterday, I saw all 6 'Star Wars' films, for £30 !! I am not a big SW's fan, I even gave away all of the pre-recorded videos we had, of the first 3 films, but !! I might buy the 6 movies, on DVD.... just to watch them, at some point down the line.....
Right, the music of the moment......
I've been listening to 'Things Falling Apart' by Nine Inch Nails !! I'm not too sure how long I've had this Cd - I came across it by accident, as it was collecting dust, on the shelf !!
The tracks are:
1) Slipping Away
2) The Great Collapse
3) The Wretched
4) Starfuckers Inc #1
5) The Frail
6) Starfuckers Inc #2
7) Where Is Everybody
8) Metal
9) 10 Miles High
10) Starfuckers Inc #3
It seems that it came out in 2000 - 15+ years ago & I forgot I actually had a copy !! Oh well.... it's all good, especially the 3 versions of 'Starfuckers Inc' !! Play is loud & then turn it up again !!
I've had a soft spot for the Nails, since seeing/hearing them at Woodstock, back in 1994. After that performance, I was just hooked & that's a fact...... Seeing them, come on stage, covered in mud & thrashing their set out, until the instruments were trashed.... it was a real eye opener & that's fact !! Oh well.....
Right - my plans for today...... well, none at all really !! I want to do a bit more, in the ways of recording, but - that's about it. It's not much of a plan, but it's all I've got + it takes my mind off my various aches & pains......
So, I will be on my ways. I thank you for logging in & for reading my words.... until next time....
Bye Bye

EU Referendum & other stuff !! Ho-hum...
Hi again World's !!
It's a famous Saturday, here in England's South-West corner..... first tho' the most important part of my life - 'The Family' !!
As I type, B is upstairs, doing a bit of house work..... As she was out for most of yesterday afternoon - she decided that today would be "house work" day !! While I was asleep - she did the biggest part of down here & now I'm semi-awake.... well, she is doing the upstairs part of the homestead !!
I think the ladies of the family, had a tiring day of it, yesterday - but, from what I can make out, they had a good day, all the same !!
Going back to today tho' & the news, that is being broadcast by the BBC.... we're going to have a referendum, on if we stay in the EU on June 23rd !! After all these months (years) of the people in power, telling us, that we should stay in or get out.... we, the idiots, who actually live here, will get a chance to vote !!
There are 2 ways to look at it..... (1) Stay in & get shafted... or (2) Leave & get shafted !! I don't care how people vote - no matter what happens, the Government, which ever one is in power will always shaft the populous & that's a fact !!
This time tho' - leave or stay... they will use the vote as the reason for doing their nasty deeds on us. I mean, they will have a reason & that reason will be the outcome of the vote !! Bless them - never trust a politician & that's a fact !! Oh well....
That's one reason that today is a "famous" day... the other, is a company over in Canada. To explain.... as best I can.
If you've read my words before - you will know that I've ordered 2 Transatlantic albums, this past week. Well - one is apparently in the post to me and the other, it seems, is stuck at the company "awaiting shipment" or something.....
So - as they've had my cash - I wrote to the company & asked where my Cd was. To my surprise, I actually got an apology & was told the Cd was posted, the day after they took my money !! Sooooo - I've written back & pointed out, that they should "update" their website.... that ways they wouldn't hear from people like me, complaining !!
Sooooo - today is a famous day. The Government will find another way to screw us & a Cd company has given me an apology !! It can only be, one of those very rare days, when life really is good..... mind you, I'm easily pleased & that's a fact !!
As for the 'Music Of The Moment'...
Well, I'm still listening to 'The Hobbit' Cd's that I've recorded...... but, a short while ago, I was playing the 1968 'Wheels Of Fire' album, by Cream, a pretty good bit of music & that's a fact !! The tracks are:
CD 1
1) White Room
2) Sitting On Top Of The World
3) Passing The Time
4) As You Said
5) Pressed Rat & Warthog
6) Politician
7) Those Were The Days
8) Born Under A Bad Sign
9) Deserted Cities Of The Heart
CD 2
1) Crossroads
2) Spoonful
3) Traintime
4) Toad
Disc 1 is a studio album & disc 2 is a live thingy... both are well good, so..... if you get the chance to hear them, your ears would be ever thankful !!
I used to - as with most of the older Cd's in our collection - have this album on Lp.... so, I've been playing it for years. It was just an album, that most people needed to buy, to find out, just how good Cream could be !! Well worth the cash it was as well !!
Right - my plans for today......
I'm going to keep playing 'The Hobbit' Cd's for a few more hours, then I might get around to starting another one of my "Project" Cd collections. Again - if you've read my words, you'll know that I do collections, from time to time.
The last one was called 'Bust A Gut 4 - Park & Ride'...... this latest one is going to be called 'Bust A Gut 5 - The Silent Click'. I know, I'm mad - but, it keeps me happy & gives us stuff to listen to, in the car, or here at home !!
Oh well.... things to do & stuff to listen to, again & again !! Sooooo - I thank you for logging in & for reading my words.... from wherever which country you live in. A big "Hello" to my reader in Romania - I hope you enjoy my ramblings.... until next time...

Black Sabbath's 1st album & other stuff !!
Hi again everybody !!
It's about Noon here in England & it's not too bad a day outside...... we've just come home from the hospital - following another dressings change - and it's really quite dry & warm. Ok - I've only been out there, for a few minutes, but... !!
As I type, I'm home alone.... B is heading towards the M & M's house, to meet up with ME and to head to one of the big furniture shops, up in Bristol. I'm not sure, that they're going to buy anything - just for the ride, type of thing. I've left a message for B to call me, when she gets to the house - as I want to ask her a question, oh well.....
So - that's how things are here........... Just me, a sort of, empty house & lots of loud music !! Life is good - well, I think so at least !!
I must admit, I was thinking, that I would write something, everyday this week - but, here I am, on a Friday - the week is all but over & I've only written twice !! The best laid plans of men & mice...... as they say !! Once again... "Oh well".....
Right - going back to yesterday.......
B drove me up to Weston-Super-Mare. I had to go before a "Health Care Professional" to be assessed, as to whether or not, I am fit for work !! Sooooo - I showed the lady, my various pictures & a letter from my Doctor.... and went thru' all of my pains & potions, in around about an hour..... including a very brief physical exam.
The latter was a joke - I would of needed to be dead, not to do the things that were expected of me !! Honestly - "can you count on your fingers", "can you touch your knees" etc etc !! It was a bit degrading really !!
I sit here now - as sick, if not slightly sicker than usual & I'm expecting full well, to be declared "fit".... which will mean, I will lose all of my various benefits & be expected to return to work !!
That should be fun - who wants to employ someone, with full blown Crohn's Disease, who needs a wheelchair to get around & - I nearly forgot - a big hole in his back, following 12 surgeries, none of which seemed to be taken into account yesterday !! Ain't life good ?!
I now have to wait 6-8 weeks, before my assessment will be completed & then, I will hear back from them. I can contest their decision, but - that will mean another delay & probably more meetings, with a "Health Care Professional" of some type or another. That will be fun & that's a fact...... I will keep you posted, as to what happens.
I have to smile to myself tho'.... Less than 12 months ago, I was in an ambulance, not breathing & heading down to the hospital in Taunton. These months later, as long as I can touch my toes, that's fine !! After nearly dying - last year - I would happily touch anything I could...... knees, toes.... anything !! It sure as heck beats not being here !! Oh well.......
I had hoped to look into a music shop, in Weston - but... it's no longer in business !! Bit of a bummer really. There was a secondhand shop there, but it mostly dealt with pre-used computer games & stuff like that. It's Ok - at least I didn't spent too much money on stuff I didn't really need !!
Hopefully - I will get one or other of the Transatlantic Cd's I ordered earlier in the week. I don't really expect them to get here today, but it would be great to have them reach me, by tomorrow.
After buying a few of their 'live' albums, it's great to get the chance, to listen to the studio stuff, that they put out, going back over the last few years. A really great band, very clever musicians & that's a fact !!
Staying with music.....
'The Music Of The Moment' is Black Sabbath's 1st album, from 1970. I was really pleased to find a copy of it, on Cd, in a secondhand record shop, in town. The guy who runs it, usually sells Lp's - but this Cd was there, one day & I snapped it up !! The tracks are:
1) Black Sabbath
2) The Wizard
3) Behind The Wall Of Sleep
4) N.I.B.
5) Evil Woman
6) Sleeping Village
7) The Warning
8) Wicked World
I don't think, I ever had this on Lp - just having a cassette copy, which I played to death in the car !! I probably still have here, on one of the shelves, not too sure, if it survived the years - hope so, I really do !!
I have all I need, to do the shelves up, in the spare room..... and I want to put the pre-recorded tapes, up there, on one or two of the things !! There really are hundreds of tapes..... actually, nearer 3000+.... but, it would be great to put them in some kind of order. Time will tell on that plan.... I will try & let you know how things go.
Staying with music - in a fashion. I have completed all of the 9 Cd's - from 'The Hobbit' movies & now, I can label them up & put them alongside 'The Lord Of The Rings' movie soundtracks. I know - I'm a sad ol' git.... but when it comes to listening to movies, I really enjoy them !!
I'm going to be able to play them, either here at home - in the car, or God forbid, in the hospital, if I land up stuck back there. Whatever - they're done & I will happily add them to my collection !! As I just said - I really enjoy listening to them..... !!
I better think about closing this down for today. As always - I thank you for logging in & for reading my words. I would be grateful, if any of you fancy becoming "official followers" of my blog. You can do this, if you feel like it, by clicking a few buttons & stuff like that. It's great - no matter what, that sooooo many of you return, time after time.....
Right - got to go.... Black Sabbath are just coming to an end & I need to do a few dishes. Sooooo - I'll have to find something suitable, to break the dishes to !! Ho-hum........ until next time....

Uriah Heep 'Live - January 1973'... Ho-hum.. !!
Hi again everybody !!
It's another Tuesday, here in England.... and it's nice & dry & really cold !! We like the cold, especially when it's Sunny & dry, like today. Anyways - I've been away from the keyboard, for a few days.... sorry about that, but there hasn't been much time - or very much to write about !!
First tho' 'The Family' !!
As I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend..... B... is over to my left, drinking a cup of her de-caff tea. As I've said before - when I make it - it looks & smells bloody awful.... but, I've never liked tea anyways, so that puts me in a bad position, when it comes to making the
stuff !! Nevermind - as long as she likes it, I'm not going to argue !!
As for the rest of the family...
We've not seen the M & M's for a little while now..... I think it was Friday, when we last saw ME. The baby is due in 10 days !! It's amazing how well our Daughter looks, in her pregnancy.... she really is beautiful & that's a fact !!
I've always said, that she is "pretty & special" and I've meant it every time I've said it !! I will obviously let you know, just how things go..... when our Granddaughter is born.
So, that's the highlights, as far as the Clan goes..... as for me, well, I've been a little tardy, as far as writing goes..... I thank you for hanging in there & coming back, time after time !!
My last few days... well, they've been a little boring, more so than usual that is !! I've been back to the hospital 3 times, since I last wrote anything... 3 painful times, having my dressings changed, over & over !!
I go to the hospital, in town, these days - as apposed to the local Dr's surgery. Sooooo - I went on Friday, with plans for a return visit on Monday - that went out the door, as my back wound just didn't stop messing around & the whole lot needed changing again, on Sunday, a whole one day early !!
We went to Church on Sunday morning... more of that later.... then after coming home, we decided to head to the hospital & wait for someone to do the dressings. As it was, a nice Dr came & looked at the mess & was very interested in how things had gone the way they have.
All in all - I guess I spent 2 hours, in the place, before coming home. Apart from the time lost - the back felt a lot better, afterwards.... a lot better !!
Then, of course - I had to return to the hospital yesterday - to, once more, have it all done again. Honestly - I spend so much time there, these days - I should have shares in the place !!
So - being a Tuesday - I have to go back again tomorrow & go thru' it all once more...... that should be fun, I think not !! If all goes to plan - I'm due to have another Vac pump added to the whole paraphernalia. I'm not sure if I'm getting the same one (Gordon) back again... or if I'm having a new one, time will tell on that one, I guess. Anyhoo - that's for tomorrow....
As for the music of the moment...
I'm listening to the 1973 live album, by Uriah Heep, simply called 'Uriah Heep Live'. It was one of those albums, that I bought on Lp, many years ago & now - I've managed to buy it on Cd !! Not only that - it only cost 63p !!
It actually cost more than that - but, as I had some points on my account, so I took them off the total & I landed up paying less than a pound, for the thing !! Plus - I expected to get a single Cd - but, what came was a double disc thingy.... sooooo - a good deal, all around really !!
The tracks, on Cd one are:
1) Sunrise
2) Sweet Loraine
3) Traveller In Time
4) Easy Livin'
5) July Morning
6) Tears In My Eyes
7) Gypsy
8) Circle Of Hands
9) Look At Yourself
10) The Magician's Birthday
11) Love Machine
12) Rock 'n' Roll Medley
There are another 12 tracks on Cd 2 - but, I can't be bothered to list them.... maybe another day - not now tho'. It's a good album - even if had cost me full price, I wouldn't of minded.... well good !!
Looking ahead slightly - yesterday - I ordered another 2 Cd set, this time by Transatlantic, called 'Live In Europe'. I've seen it about, for a while - but, yesterday I decided to place an order for it. Hopefully it will get here, in the next week or so.... and, once more - "hopefully" - it will be as good as their other live albums !!
When I was in the hospital, staying - this last time - I had long & interesting conversations, with one of the male nurses, about 'Prog Rock' and how bands, like Transatlantic, are keeping things going.... it's all good !!
Right, going back to Church on Sunday.....
We had the sad news, that the 2 Missionaries, from Taunton, are on the move !! It might sound totally dumb, as I've only met them 3 times - one of which was when they came to see me in the hospital, before Christmas - the news of their leaving came as a bit of a shock.
I 'phoned them up - yesterday - to say "goodbye" properly and it seems that their leaving came as a shock to them, as well !! Nevermind - they are 2 lovely ladies & we wish them well, in whatever area their Mission takes them. Bless them both.... that's all I can say really.... !!
Ok - I best be on my ways... for today at least. As always, I thank you for logging in & for taking the time, to read my words.... as always, it's good to know you're "out there" .... until next time...
Bye Bye

'The Crow, The Owl & the Dove'.....
Well Greetings World's !!
It's another Friday, here in England's South-West. I've not been outside yet, but it's really cold & dry out there...... just the way we like it !! There is nothing like walking thru' crispy, iced up
pavements !!
Anyways... It's about 10am & as I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is behind me, mixing the various things together........ it's baking day !! The menu today, is for a fruit loaf & some home made bread.
Friday has become "bread day" over recent months - I'm glad to say.... I do like fresh baked bread, it's just sooooo special, compared to shop bought !!
As for the rest of the family - we saw ME a day or 2 back. She had a meeting with her mid-wife & then came up to visit us. Altho' she has moved, into the town, she still prefers to use our Dr's surgery. I don't blame her - it's not too bad, as far as Dr's go.
I saw my Dr. yesterday - and I'm going back again, next Tuesday. It's no biggy.... I have a meeting next Thursday & the Dr. is going to write a letter for me. Telling someone about all the crap that has happened over the last 30+ months is one thing - but having a letter, from my Dr. explaining all of the technical details is a big help !!
More of that Thursday meeting, nearer the time....
Going back, to yesterday..... the Missionaries came over for an hour - they really are a pair of nutcases !! The German guy is sooooo much fun - he has this really infectious way of laughing, really so much fun. He has a newish companion, from Texas - and I don't think he knows how to take our sense of humour !! Give him time.... he'll realise, that we are only joking !!
Anyways - with one thing & another... time has got away from me this week !! So much so, that I've not posted as often as I intended - nevermind.....
I've to go back to the hospital, this afternoon - it's dressings changing time again !! It's been a bit of a nightmare this week.... to explain, as best I can...
When i was in hospital - for my last surgery.... the Dr's & nurses wanted me to have a Vac pump, so I left the hospital with Gordon (I name all of the pumps) & we both thought, he would stay on for a goodly while.... a good many weeks at least.
However, this week - the boss nurse, from our local hospital, decided to remove the pump & let things heal, as best they could, naturally. The result of this has been simple - all the goo, that Gordon would of sucked out of me, has just oozed into into the regular dressing & it's become a bloody mess !!
It got so bad, yesterday, that B had to put an extra dressing over the top of the nurses dressing... with me so far ?! This morning - even the newer dressing is saturated.... not good.... not good at all !!
When I go back to the hospital, this afternoon, I'm not really sure what is going to happen. Maybe Gordon will go back on - or maybe I'll stay with the current dressing.... I really don't know. As I often say - time will tell !! I just want it sorted, one way or another.....
..... But, there might be an up side, to the whole mess.
This meeting, next week, is to assess my general health - in a nut shell - to see if I'm fit for work again. Having a gooey hole in my back, well - along with all of the 'photo's I've mailed off already... I think it might be a shortish kind of interview !!
The Government - bless them - are trying to get long term sick people, like myself, back into work...... hence the meeting on Thursday. The fact that I only had to give up working, because of my health & over the last 15 years or whatever it's been.... healthcare professionals have all helped me, with my various problems.
I've not gone to the shops & bought my various odds & end.... the health service has provided me with almost everything !! The Dr's say I'm sick - actually not breathing last March, was a bit of a giveaway really - sooooo.... what this meeting will actually achieve, I don't know !! Once again - "time will tell" !!
It's going to be an interesting meeting & that's for sure !! Oh well !!
As for the music of the moment.....
Well, I've been fortunate to get a 2012 Nightwish 'single'.... 'The Crow, The Owl & the Dove'. It came over from Germany & reached me yesterday..... it's well good, with 2 tracks I didn't already have. The tracks are:
1) The Crow, The Owl & The Dove - radio edit
2) The Heart Asks Pleasure First
3) The Crow, The Owl & The Dove - album version
4) The Crow, The Owl & The Dove - instrumental version
5) The Heart Asks Pleasure First - instrumental version
I wasn't going to buy it - but I saw it, on a web site, for 5 Euros & I couldn't resist it. Mind you - the postage was twice that.... but, it was well worth it !!
I'll put it on the Mini Egg, some time today.... got to make room for it first !! Actually - I've still have to fit 'The Hobbit' Cd's in as well..... it's no good, I'll have to decide what I don't listen to & take that off....... it's not going to be easy, as I play nearly everything, at some point or another !!
Oh well..... I best be on my ways..... things to do & stuff like that. But - just going back to yesterday...
As mentioned, the Elders came around yesterday.... and, by chance, my giant poster of the back wound was here in the living room. It's the first time, that either of them had seen it... all 1008 square inches of it !! I'm not sure exactly what the American guy thought of it - but, the German guy loved it, so much, that he took a picture of it, with me beside it..... we really are mad !!
Right - I'm away... a neighbour has come over to see B... and have a natter !! Sooooo - as usual, I thank you for your time & for logging in to read my words. It's always good to know you're out there !! My thanks again... until next time.....
Bye Bye

It's - um... 'Astonishing' !!
Greeting's World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you this fine, cold & blowy day ?! It's another Tuesday - here in England's South-West corner....... and it's kind of cold outside - thankfully, I'm here, in the living room & the heating is on !! Nice & toasty !!
As I type - I'm home alone & the music is blasting out - as usual - just below deafening & life is good. Well, that's not exactly true, I feel like crap, but.... apart from that, I feel pretty good !!
I don't know, exactly what is wrong with me.... B woke me up, at 1pm - just to make sure I was Ok !! I slept well enough, thru' the night - but, as usual, my morning pills seemed to get the better of me & I just kept on sleeping. A bit of a bummer really !! Oh well......
Life goes on tho'.... and that's a fact !!
This afternoon, ME paid us a visit, just to say "Hello" after her mid-wife appointment.... and had a pancake with us, today being "Pan Cake Day" here in England !! Remember - pan cakes are for life - not just for one Tuesday per year !! I had forgotten - but, had one anyways.... really good it was as well !! B makes great pan cakes.... really good !!
Now tho' - both the ladies of the family have left me & gone out into the cold. ME has headed for home & B has gone to her weight-watchers class thingy. It's not actually called 'weight-watchers'..... that's something else... but, she has gone out anyhoo. She'll be home in about an hour....
That leaves me time to listen to the latest Dream Theater album 'The Astonishing'. My first reaction - and this is my first real listen to it - it's their '2112'. It's a lot longer, it's far more complicated.... but, reading the lyrics & listening to the album... '2112' was the first thing that came to my mind !! Oh well - that's going to get me a slagging !!
The tracks are:
CD 1
1) The Decent Of The Nomacs
2) Dystopian Overture
3) The Gift Of Music
4) The Answer
5) A Better Life
6) Lord Nafaryus
7) A Savior In The Square
8) When Your Time Has Come
9) Act Of Faythe
10) Three Days
11) The Hovering Sojourn
12) Brother, Can You Hear Me
13) A Life Left Behind
14) Ravenskill
15) Chosen
16) A Tempting Offer
17) Digital Discord
18) The X Aspect
19) A New Beginning
20) The Road To Revolution
CD 2

2) Moment Of Betrayal
3) Heaven's Cove
4) Begin Again
5) The Path That Divides
6) Machine Chatter
7) The Walking Shadow
8) My Last Farewell
9) Losing Faythe
10) Whispers On The Wind
11) Hymn Of A Thousand Voices
12) Our New World
13) Power Down
14) Astonishing
Ok - I am literally, on track 16 of Cd 1 and this really is my first time of listening.... to me, the jury is still out. It sounds really good - but, if it's going to grow on me, like the last album did.... I'm not 100% sure.
I'm going to have to stop comparing it, to other albums.... not only by Dream Theater... to really see, if it gets a hook in me. I will keep listening to it - here & in the car, to see how things go - time will tell & that's a real fact in this case !!
Right - onto other things.....
Last night, B & I watched 'The Walk' about the guy, who walked between the twin towers of the World Trade Centre in New York.... back in the '70's. It was really good - excellent really. I know I have a documentary about how the guy did it, somewhere here about.... I just have to find it. But, if you get the chance - go & watch the film.... it's really, really well worth your time !!
As for tomorrow, I have to return to the local hospital, to have my latest Vac pump - Gordon - removed. The plan, as I understood it, was to leave it on - for up to "indefinitely forever" to see how the wound on my back healed. Well.... in just 2 weeks, after having the thing put on me.... the local nursing team, have decided to take it
off !!
It seems that it's really messing with my back - or at least the skin, around the wound - and now, it's been decided to remove Gordon, to give my skin a chance to heal up a bit. What that will do, for the wound itself, I have no idea..... once again, "time will tell" I guess...... I will let you know, how things go !!
That's for tomorrow....
As for the rest of the night.... well, I have some printing to do. As mentioned before, I have recorded the latest 3 'Hobbit' movies, over to Cd.... now, I have found the track titles, on the 'net. Sooooo - I will print up the various tracks & then, at some point, I will add those titles to the Mini Egg, along with the 9 Cd's.... Yep - 9 Cd's... that's how many it took, to transfer everything over !!
It's Ok - 'The Lord Of The Rings' movies, took 12 Cd's... it really was a lot easier, to put them on that many discs, allowing for the a good join in the various bits of action. Oh well....
I've enjoyed listening to the movies, while I've been stuck in the hospitals...... here's hoping, that I don't have to spend anymore time - in any hospital - to get any sort of chance, to hear the 'Hobbit' movies. That would be a real bummer.... I've had enough of hospitals, I really have !!
Oh well.... I best be on my ways... things to do & stuff like that. As always, I thank you for your time & for logging in & for reading my words...... until next time...
Bye Bye

Once again... 'The Dig Tree'... Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
It's a very wet & windy Saturday, here in England..... England's South-West corner that is. I suspect the rest of the country is having a worse time of it, but - as I often say - they don't worry about us, when we're weather beaten, sooooo.......
I've actually only been awake, for a few minutes..... even tho' it's well after 12 noon !! In my defense - it really is the drugs, that makes me tardy, first thing in the morning. There is some kind of link, between my night time pills & potions & the ones I take in the morning. Between them, they knock me sideways - really brain dead & sleepy. Nevermind...... I'm up now....
The main reason, for writing today, is to go back, to my most recent hospital visit & the brilliant 'The Dig Tree' by Sarah Murgatroyd !! I've written about this book, before - over this blog of mine - but, I can not tell you just how much I really like it !!
The first copy, that I had, I willingly gave to Lady V - when she & Sir J were visiting us, a couple of years ago....... this copy, the one I have now, is brand new..... and I mean brand new !! When I looked, into buying a new copy - I found it was out of print....... but, luckily, I found a company, who would re-print it for me !! Sooooo - that's what happened - I payed a little extra & it came, smelling of that fresh, new feeling, that you only get once in a while !! Brilliant !!
I took it with me, into the hospital & with-in a few days, I re-read the whole book, cover to cover !! For me, it's one of those books, that really has got a hook into me & that's a fact.
It's a brilliant insight, into the ".....ill-fated Burke & Wills 1860 expedition" to cross Australia, from the South, heading towards the North. It is, as good a book, as you will ever read..... well researched & well written, in a word.... "Brilliant" !! I don't know, just how many times, I've read it - but, even now, I find something new..... it's that kind of book, it really is !!
Unfortunately, there is a sad part to this book. The author, Sarah Murgatroyd died, shortly after it was published & she never lived long enough, to see how well it was received !! It was her only book - as far as I know - and it is really worth you time, to look it up & to give it a read...... go on, treat yourself !!
Right - enough about the book... "The Family" !!
As I type, B is upstairs, doing a bit of quilting. A nurse, in the hospital, asked if she could do it - the quilt - for her & B agreed. There are actually, 2 quilts - one each, for the nurses little boys...... made up, of some of their earliest clothes.... a "memory quilt", I think it's called.... tho', I don't really know for sure. Anyhow - B is working away on them, as I type....
As for the rest of the family..... we saw ME yesterday, for a couple of hours - which was great. As I keep saying - I love my daughter & I'm always happy to see her !! The baby will be here soon.... lots of fun !!
As for the music of the moment - well..... that's the old 2 Lp set, by Canned Heat called 'Living The Blues'. I'm actually listening to the Cd version, which B bought for me, way back in 2001.
There is a long story to this album.... but, I've probably told it before. In a nutshell - I used to buy albums, from a little shop, in the town where I was born. I could never afford to pay for them, outright - so the lady used to let me put albums away & pay for them over a number of weeks !! This was one of those albums....
The tracks are:
CD 1
1) Pony Blues
2) My Mistake
3) Sandy's Blues
4) Going Up The Country
5) Walking By Myself
6) Boogie Music
7) One Kind Favour
8) Parthenogenesis
CD 2
1) Refried Boogie
It was a far simpler time, back in 1968.... I loved listening to music & I was lucky enough to be around, at a time, when some of the best music was being written & played !! I'm not knocking new groups..... but, these older albums, well - they still get played & that's a fact !!
By & by... 'Parthenogenesis' is 19 minutes long & 'Refried Boogie' is 41 minutes long. It's all good & lots of fun to listen to !! Ho-hum...
Right - I better think on closing this down..... things to do & stuff like that. A little later, I'm taking B out for a meal - sooooo, I will need to rest up a bit now, or else I'm going to be asleep, while we're eating..... not so good !!
Anyhoo - I thank you for logging in & for reading my words.... from all across & around the World..... until next time...
Bye Bye

'Puppies On Acid' Ho-hum....
Hi again everybody !!
I've just worked out, that it's been 3 days, since I last put finger to keyboard - my bad.... one thing has pushed out another & before I knew it, it was Friday again !! It's been a hectic week & that's for sure... some of it funny, other stuff..... well, more on that later.
First the family !!
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend... B.... has gone across the road, to visit with one of our neighbours. The lady hasn't been feeling been feeling well, so B is paying her a quick visit. She will be back, in a little while.
As for the rest of the clan. Well, our Daughter ME is probably coming over to see us, at some point today. I hope so, as we've just been shopping & have come home, with a box of cream cakes !! It would be a shame, if we had to eat them all, on our own !! Of course - if push came to shove.... I expect we could manage it, if you twisted my arm... ho-hum !!
Tomorrow is our Son's birthday. I know I said I wouldn't write anything more about him - but, it's his birthday & I wish him well !!
I've not seen M for a while - mainly as I slept thru' the M & M's last visit. I'm sure we'll catch up at some point..... soon I hope !! He's busy with work - sooooo.... we'll see him soon, I'm sure.
B's Dad has been taken into hospital, in Bath - quite a few miles from here. He was taken in, yesterday (I think) with a chest infection of some sort. Because of the distance, I'm not sure if B plans on making the trip up.... I'll leave that to her. She will know more about it, than I will.....
As for my good self & the Taunton hospital...... that's been a bit of a fun ride a round, this week - I kid you not......... To explain !!
On Wednesday, B & I went into Taunton - to have a look around the shops and eventually, to go to the hospital, for my afternoon appointment - with me so far ?! Good - because, I made a complete mess of things !! I had the right time - but, I was a day early !! Yep - a whole 24 hours !!
I know where I went wrong. I left the hospital, on the Wednesday - a week ago - with the Consultant saying he would see me, in a week, to have the stitches removed. Of course - I took that literally & went along, exactly one week later..... unfortunately, I should of looked at the appointment letter & then I would of got things right !!
Nevermind - B & I enjoyed our trip around the shops...... even tho' HMV records hasn't opened at it's new address yet !! I went into Black Cat Records - a really good independent store - and had a good look around, so all was not lost.
Anyhoo - that was Wednesday.... so, we had to go back to the hospital, yesterday - that was fun !! Not only did the junior doctor I saw, have no clue why I was there, but the nurse that was due to change my dressing, was no where to be seen !!
It was left to us, to explain, to the Dr. why I was there & a lovely nurse to change my Vac pump dressing. That was Ok by me - other than the fact, the nurse had never done a dressing on her own before.... that wasn't something I was comfortable with, but never mind !! All in all, it's been a fun week - as far as hospital's go !!
That was Wednesday & yesterday.... and, I hope, it will give you a little clue, to how hectic this week has been.... all a bit mad really !!
As for the music of the moment....
Well, as with a couple of days ago, I'm listening to the soundtrack of one of 'The Hobbit' movies...... this time, the 3rd one - 'The Battle of The Five Armies'. I'm not sure which one, I was playing the other day, but, I've transferred all 3 movies, over to Cd - sooooo now, I can put the soundtracks, over to my Mini Egg !! The 3 movies will fit nicely, in front of 'The Lord Of The Rings' movies..... as a prologue !! Great stuff..... !!
But, even tho' I'm not actually playing any music - I did pick up a live set, from Dream Theater, in Black Cat !! It's cat 'Puppies On Acid' and was recorded back in 1993, in Warwick, Rhode Island, my favourite American state !!
I'm not really sure, if it's an official 'bootleg' - but, it was taken from a FM broadcast & it's really, really good !! The tracks are:
1) Learning To Live
2) Under A Glass Moon
3) Status Seeker
4) Puppies On Acid
5) Take The Time
6) To Live Forever
7) Another Day/Metropolis Pt. 1
8) Eve
9) Pull Me Under
It was recorded when Kevin Moore was the band's keyboard player - so that makes it a bit special, as far as I'm concerned - well, good !! I had hoped, that the latest Dream Theater album, would be here, by now - but, so far, nothing - which is a shame..... I'm looking forward to hearing it !! I will let you know, what it's like, as & when I get it, time will tell on that one..............
Right - I better think about closing this down, for today...... but, I wanted to share something, with you, from my most recent stay in the hospital. It's kind of sad - but, we found it funny, at the time.
There was an older guy, in the same area as your's truly..... and to be fair, he wasn't (at the time) feeling too well. Anyways - this couple of ladies came in & started talking to him.
They stayed there, for at least 20 minutes, with the guy just looking at them, rather bemused with the situation..... then, in a loud voice, the younger of the 2 ladies said "This isn't Dad !!"........ they had the wrong guy !!
Honestly - I kid you not... they didn't know, recognize, their own Father & Husband !! It's no wonder, that the guy was looking bemused - he didn't have a clue who they were !! Their relative, was in a different area - sooooo they were soon re-united. But - the nurses & I were laughing our socks off - I repeat, how do you not know your own relative ?! It was crazy - but very funny !!
Right - I better be on my ways.... things to do & Cd's to listen to..... actually, I will try & print up some labels, while I'm sat here..... I have plenty of 'Hobbit' images here, to use on the Cd's. Hopefully I'll have enough ink !!
So anyways - I better be off. I thank you for your time, for logging in & reading my words..... as always, it's good to know you're out there.......... until next time.....
Bye Bye

'Pictures At Eleven' and the other one. Ho-hum !!
Well Greetings World's !!
It's a bright & cheerful Tuesday, here in England..... it's true, I've not been outside today - but it looks bright & dry !! I think I'll stay in the house, things to do & stuff like that !!
As I type - B is behind me, doing a bit of toast. She is going out, in a little while, so - before she goes, I'm having some of the bread stuff. Just one slice..... I don't eat too much, just the odd piece, now & again.
A little while ago - ME (our Daughter) was here for a couple of hours. It's lovely to see her again..... it's less than a month, until the baby is due !! It's amazing how quickly, these past months have gone by - it really is !! I love seeing my Daughter - she always brightens up my day......
The M & M's were here, together, on Sunday.... but, I slept thru' their visit. I know it was rude of me - but, I was feeling sooooo tired & under the weather, from my latest surgery..... it's a shame I missed them, I love seeing both of them !!
I must ask M - about his 'Lord Of The Rings' poster.... well, his 'Middle Earth' poster. The one, that I framed up, the other week, is from 'The Hobbit' & doesn't show Mordor !! It's no big deal - I just didn't notice it, until I had it framed. I want to ask M, if his poster is the same as mine..... I will let you know !!
Talking of frames - tomorrow, I'm going to pick up a couple more - to put my big posters in. They have to be 28 X 36 inches in size, but - as long as they match the first two, that I already have, I don't mind !!
It's going to be really weird, after all this time, having the posters framed up - but, they're unique to me & sooooo - I want them looked after !! It's certainly going to be fun !! Who else has giant posters of their back..... ?! Send me your answers on the back of a postcard.... Ho-hum !!
Staying with tomorrow....
I have to return to the hospital, to have my dressings changed & the stitches removed...... that's going to be fun !! My appointment is at 4.45pm - so before then, we'll head into Taunton's music shops & have a look around.... there might be the odd thing, for me to pick up. I don't know exactly what I'm after - but, it would be interesting to have a nose around !!
I'm not looking forward, to having the pain of the stitches removed - it doesn't hurt that much.... it's just uncomfortable, that's all. If there is a student nurse in the clinic, I'll let her/him remove them - it's one way for them to learn, after all.
I think there are 6 or 7 stitches, still to me removed - no biggy. Plus - apart from them - the Consultant has to give the wound, the once over.
I saw a nurse, yesterday - who changed the Vac dressing & according to her, it (the wound) was actually bigger !! I don't understand why - but, as long as it heals, I don't really care !! Life is good..... and it'll go on & on....
Talking of going on - B is going out, in a short while, to her weight-watchers class/meeting thingy. She hasn't been for a couple of weeks, with me being poorly & last week, being stuck in the hospital. I wouldn't blame her - if she stayed at home... plus, I get to have her company for a few extra hours !!
As for the music of the moment....
Well, to be honest - there really isn't any !! I'm listening to the second 'Hobbit' movie soundtrack. Yesterday, I sat down & transferred the DVD over to Cd.... and that's what is playing, as I type !! I did the first one, a day or 2 back - sooooo, that just leaves me the 3rd & final movie & all 3 will be done.
From there, I will put the movies onto my Mini Egg - iPod- thingy & that will mean I can listen to the 3 movies, one after the other, whenever I feel like it !!
If you've never read my words before - I've done a similar thing, with the 'Lord Of The Rings' movies, plus a couple of other films as well..... it gives me something to listen to, when I'm poorly, or stuck in the hospital. Hopefully - the latter will not happen again, but..... you can never tell !!
But - a little earlier - I was listening to Robert Plant's first 2 albums....... 'Pictures At Eleven' & 'The Principle Of Moments'. They were always 2 of my favourite albums, by Mr Plant - especially, as I saw him on his early tour, where he covered most of the songs !!
The tracks are:
'Pictures At Eleven'
1) Burning Down One Side
2) Moonlight In Samosa
3) Pledge Pin
4) Slow Dancer
5) Worse Than Detroit
6) Fat Lip
7) Like I've Never Been Gone
8) Mystery Title
Bonus tracks
1) Far Post
2) Like I've Never Been Gone (live)
'The Principle Of Moments'
1) Other Arms
2) In The Mood
3) Messing With The Mekon
4) Wreckless Love
5) Thru' With The Two Step
6) Horizontal Departure
7) Stranger Here... than over there
8) Big Log
Bonus tracks
1) In The Mood (Live)
2) Thru' With The Two Step (live)
3) Lively Up Yourself (live)
4) Turnaround
I bought the Lp's - then the original Cd's - after that, these 2 Cd's... with all of the bonus tracks on. Most of those, were on the 12 inch single releases..... which I still have here, in my album box !!
Right.....
Today is a bit of history, in the making, for me !! This is my 1000th post !! That means, in 5 years & 10 months (give or take a few days) I have put my finger to keyboard, in one form or another, 1000 times "Wow" !!
I can hardly believe it myself...... When I started this off - it was just a bit of a hobby for me, something to take my mind off, my various problems. Now - nearly 6 years later, I'm still writing away & people are still reading my words !! Over 19,000 of you have logged in, over the years & I can not quite put into words, just how happy I am.... that sooooo many of you are out there !!
As always - I thank you all, for taking a few minutes, out of your lives, to read my ramblings !! Maybe one day, as I've said before - I will write something worth reading !!
Oh - going back to yesterday.... and 'While I Cry' !! I put the lyrics in, because I had found the song, on the Mini Egg, when I was in hospital. It's from one of the Monkees' later albums & it has always been one of my favourite tracks, by Mike Nesmith. He really is/was a greatly under valued song writer !!
Ok - I better be on my ways..... I've nothing much else to do, tonight.... just a few odd jobs & stuff. But - they have to be done & I have to do them !! Sooooo - I thank you again & I will return, maybe tomorrow, but if not.... sometime soon..... until next time...
Bye Bye

Bye Bye
