'Puppies On Acid' Ho-hum....

Hi again everybody !!

I've just worked out, that it's been 3 days, since I last put finger to keyboard - my bad.... one thing has pushed out another & before I knew it, it was Friday again !! It's been a hectic week & that's for sure... some of it funny, other stuff..... well, more on that later.

First the family !!

As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend... B.... has gone across the road, to visit with one of our neighbours. The lady hasn't been feeling been feeling well, so B is paying her a quick visit. She will be back, in a little while.

As for the rest of the clan. Well, our Daughter ME is probably coming over to see us, at some point today. I hope so, as we've just been shopping & have come home, with a box of cream cakes !! It would be a shame, if we had to eat them all, on our own !! Of course - if push came to shove.... I expect we could manage it, if you twisted my arm... ho-hum !!

Tomorrow is our Son's birthday. I know I said I wouldn't write anything more about him - but, it's his birthday & I wish him well !!

I've not seen M for a while - mainly as I slept thru' the M & M's last visit. I'm sure we'll catch up at some point..... soon I hope !! He's busy with work - sooooo.... we'll see him soon, I'm sure.

B's Dad has been taken into hospital, in Bath - quite a few miles from here. He was taken in, yesterday (I think) with a chest infection of some sort. Because of the distance, I'm not sure if B plans on making the trip up.... I'll leave that to her. She will know more about it, than I will.....

As for my good self & the Taunton hospital...... that's been a bit of a fun ride a round, this week - I kid you not......... To explain !!

On Wednesday, B & I went into Taunton - to have a look around the shops and eventually, to go to the hospital, for my afternoon appointment - with me so far ?! Good - because, I made a complete mess of things !! I had the right time - but, I was a day early !! Yep - a whole 24 hours !!

I know where I went wrong. I left the hospital, on the Wednesday - a week ago - with the Consultant saying he would see me, in a week, to have the stitches removed. Of course - I took that literally & went along, exactly one week later..... unfortunately, I should of looked at the appointment letter & then I would of got things right !!

Nevermind - B & I enjoyed our trip around the shops...... even tho' HMV records hasn't opened at it's new address yet !! I went into Black Cat Records - a really good independent store - and had a good look around, so all was not lost.

Anyhoo - that was Wednesday.... so, we had to go back to the hospital, yesterday - that was fun !! Not only did the junior doctor I saw, have no clue why I was there, but the nurse that was due to change my dressing, was no where to be seen !!

It was left to us, to explain, to the Dr. why I was there & a lovely nurse to change my Vac pump dressing. That was Ok by me - other than the fact, the nurse had never done a dressing on her own before.... that wasn't something I was comfortable with, but never mind !! All in all, it's been a fun week - as far as hospital's go !!

That was Wednesday & yesterday.... and, I hope, it will give you a little clue, to how hectic this week has been.... all a bit mad really !!

As for the music of the moment....

Well, as with a couple of days ago, I'm listening to the soundtrack of one of 'The Hobbit' movies...... this time, the 3rd one - 'The Battle of The Five Armies'. I'm not sure which one, I was playing the other day, but, I've transferred all 3 movies, over to Cd - sooooo now, I can put the soundtracks, over to my Mini Egg !! The 3 movies will fit nicely, in front of 'The Lord Of The Rings' movies..... as a prologue !! Great stuff..... !!

But, even tho' I'm not actually playing any music - I did pick up a live set, from Dream Theater, in Black Cat !! It's cat 'Puppies On Acid' and was recorded back in 1993, in Warwick, Rhode Island, my favourite American state !!

I'm not really sure, if it's an official 'bootleg' - but, it was taken from a FM broadcast & it's really, really good !! The tracks are:

1) Learning To Live
2) Under A Glass Moon
3) Status Seeker
4) Puppies On Acid
5) Take The Time
6) To Live Forever
7) Another Day/Metropolis Pt. 1
8) Eve
9) Pull Me Under

It was recorded when Kevin Moore was the band's keyboard player - so that makes it a bit special, as far as I'm concerned - well, good !! I had hoped, that the latest Dream Theater album, would be here, by now - but, so far, nothing - which is a shame..... I'm looking forward to hearing it !! I will let you know, what it's like, as & when I get it, time will tell on that one..............

Right - I better think about closing this down, for today...... but, I wanted to share something, with you, from my most recent stay in the hospital. It's kind of sad - but, we found it funny, at the time.

There was an older guy, in the same area as your's truly..... and to be fair, he wasn't (at the time) feeling too well. Anyways - this couple of ladies came in & started talking to him.

They stayed there, for at least 20 minutes, with the guy just looking at them, rather bemused with the situation..... then, in a loud voice, the younger of the 2 ladies said "This isn't Dad !!"........ they had the wrong guy !!

Honestly - I kid you not... they didn't know, recognize, their own Father & Husband !! It's no wonder, that the guy was looking bemused - he didn't have a clue who they were !! Their relative, was in a different area - sooooo they were soon re-united. But - the nurses & I were laughing our socks off - I repeat, how do you not know your own relative ?! It was crazy - but very funny !!

Right - I better be on my ways.... things to do & Cd's to listen to..... actually, I will try & print up some labels, while I'm sat here..... I have plenty of 'Hobbit' images here, to use on the Cd's. Hopefully I'll have enough ink !!

So anyways - I better be off. I thank you for your time, for logging in & reading my words..... as always, it's good to know you're out there.......... until next time.....

Bye Bye
