Uriah Heep 'Live - January 1973'... Ho-hum.. !!

Hi again everybody !!

It's another Tuesday, here in England.... and it's nice & dry & really cold !! We like the cold, especially when it's Sunny & dry, like today. Anyways - I've been away from the keyboard, for a few days.... sorry about that, but there hasn't been much time - or very much to write about !!

First tho'  'The Family' !!

As I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend..... B... is over to my left, drinking a cup of her de-caff tea. As I've said before - when I make it - it looks & smells bloody awful.... but, I've never liked tea anyways, so that puts me in a bad position, when it comes to making the
stuff !! Nevermind - as long as she likes it, I'm not going to argue !!

As for the rest of the family...

We've not seen the M & M's for a little while now..... I think it was Friday, when we last saw ME. The baby is due in 10 days !! It's amazing how well our Daughter looks, in her pregnancy.... she really is beautiful & that's a fact !!

I've always said, that she is "pretty & special" and I've meant it every time I've said it !! I will obviously let you know, just how things go..... when our Granddaughter is born.

So, that's the highlights, as far as the Clan goes..... as for me, well, I've been a little tardy, as far as writing goes..... I thank you for hanging in there & coming back, time after time !!

My last few days... well, they've been a little boring, more so than usual that is !! I've been back to the hospital 3 times, since I last wrote anything... 3 painful times, having my dressings changed, over & over !!

I go to the hospital, in town, these days - as apposed to the local Dr's surgery. Sooooo - I went on Friday, with plans for a return visit on Monday - that went out the door, as my back wound just didn't stop messing around & the whole lot needed changing again, on Sunday, a whole one day early !!

We went to Church on Sunday morning... more of that later.... then after coming home, we decided to head to the hospital & wait for someone to do the dressings. As it was, a nice Dr came & looked at the mess & was very interested in how things had gone the way they have.

All in all - I guess I spent 2 hours, in the place, before coming home. Apart from the time lost - the back felt a lot better, afterwards.... a lot better !!

Then, of course - I had to return to the hospital yesterday - to, once more, have it all done again. Honestly - I spend so much time there, these days - I should have shares in the place !!

So - being a Tuesday - I have to go back again tomorrow & go thru' it all once more...... that should be fun, I think not !! If all goes to plan - I'm due to have another Vac pump added to the whole paraphernalia. I'm not sure if I'm getting the same one (Gordon) back again... or if I'm having a new one, time will tell on that one, I guess. Anyhoo - that's for tomorrow....

As for the music of the moment...

I'm listening to the 1973 live album, by Uriah Heep, simply called 'Uriah Heep Live'. It was one of those albums, that I bought on Lp, many years ago & now - I've managed to buy it on Cd !! Not only that - it only cost 63p !!

It actually cost more than that - but, as I had some points on my account, so I took them off the total & I landed up paying less than a pound, for the thing !! Plus - I expected to get a single Cd - but, what came was a double disc thingy.... sooooo - a good deal, all around really !!

The tracks, on Cd one are:

  1) Sunrise
  2) Sweet Loraine
  3) Traveller In Time
  4) Easy Livin'
  5) July Morning
  6) Tears In My Eyes
  7) Gypsy
  8) Circle Of Hands
  9) Look At Yourself
10) The Magician's Birthday
11) Love Machine
12) Rock 'n' Roll Medley

There are another 12 tracks on Cd 2 - but, I can't be bothered to list them.... maybe another day - not now tho'. It's a good album - even if had cost me full price, I wouldn't of minded.... well good !!

Looking ahead slightly - yesterday - I ordered another 2 Cd set, this time by Transatlantic, called 'Live In Europe'. I've seen it about, for a while - but, yesterday I decided to place an order for it. Hopefully it will get here, in the next week or so.... and, once more - "hopefully" - it will be as good as their other live albums !!

When I was in the hospital, staying - this last time - I had long & interesting conversations, with one of the male nurses, about 'Prog Rock' and how bands, like Transatlantic, are keeping things going.... it's all good !!

Right, going back to Church on Sunday.....

We had the sad news, that the 2 Missionaries, from Taunton, are on the move !! It might sound totally dumb, as I've only met them 3 times - one of which was when they came to see me in the hospital, before Christmas - the news of their leaving came as a bit of a shock.

I 'phoned them up - yesterday - to say "goodbye" properly and it seems that their leaving came as a shock to them, as well !! Nevermind - they are 2 lovely ladies & we wish them well, in whatever area their Mission takes them. Bless them both.... that's all I can say really.... !!

Ok - I best be on my ways... for today at least. As always, I thank you for logging in & for taking the time, to read my words.... as always, it's good to know you're "out there" .... until next time...

Bye Bye
