Happy July 4th.......

Greetings !!

A happy July 4th to my American readers & a big hello to my Russian reader, who is logged on as I type !!

It's a wet Wednesday here in England... as I sit here, ME is sat a short ways away, on her computer applying for some job or another. Can you remember when you had to write off for jobs ?  Now, it all seems to be done via the net & in many ways the whole thing seems to have become "faceless" - for want of a better word !!

Oh well....  J is here about as well - tho' he is upstairs in his room... having had his supper & done the dishes.  So that leaves B - she has gone out for a gym class & will be back in a couple of hours or so.

So - that's the family - I'm here playing a 4 Cd set of Bob Dylan songs.... called 'Chimes Of Freedom'.  I'm not a big Dylan fan... but, this collection is done by loads of different people & is all to do with Amnesty International.  At the moment - it's Charlie Winston's version of 'This Wheels On Fire'...

Right - it's July 4th.... two things I forgot to write about this week, have come to mind...

On July 2nd... it was 75 years to the day that Amelia Earhart went missing somewhere over the Pacific...

I hope, one day, they will find her plane, to put the mystery behind & find the truth of what really happened to her & her navigator, all those years ago !!

Also on July 2nd... our NFH got the permission to extend their
house !!  Bummer !! So - the rest of us, who live here in our little Close, will now have to put up with all the mess that will go with it !!

Life will go on - but, one day - I hope - it will be a far better life than I know now !!

Our other neighbour, P.... well, his wife has now left him & set up home, some place in town.  P stayed away for 2 days, while she moved out.... only to find, when he got home, that he had very little left !!  I kid you not - she took everything that would move !!  She even dumped his food on the side & took the fridge - how mean can you get  !!

I've said this before - the first thing that gets forgotten, when someone leaves - well, it's the truth.  From here on in - I will never believe a word that lady says !!

Oh well......

I had a bit of bad news today..... I think I mentioned that B forgot to take something into our local Dr's for testing.  Well - B phoned up today & it has had to be sent into the hospital lab - as it's not very good & needs to be really checked !!  I knew things weren't too good - but, to send it into the hospital lab is bad news !!

Never mind - it'll probably mean some more tests & potions to take - such joy !!  Time will tell - I guess & maybe it won't be so bad... it's a shame the Dr's here couldn't check it... oh well !!  I will keep you up to date on what my 'new' pills taste like - or worse still how big they are !!

Ok - I better be on my ways - I didn't have the best of nights last night - even tho' I didn't wake up until after 12 today - so. I will now sign off & try & get some rest..... so, until next time...
