...not an hour down the local arcade !!

Well Greetings Worlds !!

It's a Tuesday here in wet & cold England - just like any other normal summer's day !!  Oh well - mustn't moan... it stayed dry over the weekend & that was a bonus !!

Anyhoo - my thanks to those of you in Eastern Europe for logging in today !!  I know I've not posted for 3 days or so, but I'm back now....  I thank you for your time.  Plus, all the rest of you who log in - it's great to know you're there !!

I'm here alone, at the moment.  J has just gone down to the Dr's (in the village) for me...... B was meant to take some stuff in, on her way out - but, it got forgotten !!  So - my "No.1 Son" has put his coat on, put an umbrella up & is doing the walk for me.

I saw my local Dr yesterday..... it was a long visit..... time we had gone thru' all that has happened over the last couple of weeks, since I saw him last !!  I have to go back in 10 days, for a follow up appointment - to see if I'm still breathing I guess !!  I did suggest it would be quicker if he just shot me - but, he says it's not fair unless the target is running & there is no way in hell I'll be doing that !!

Never mind.... as it was, I came home with another load of pills to take !!  I was hoping to come off of a few of them, but land up taking more !!  "Such is life....."

B has just 'phoned to say "sorry" for forgetting to take the stuff
down !!  Never mind - it's done now....  She is in town, to pick up some food & go to the gym for an hour or so.  I did tell her to skip it today - as she has been feeling poorly over the last few days - but, she wanted to go..... and I'm not going to stop her !!

As for the other member of the family, ME - she is at Uni placement today.  She only has to do 3 more days & her course will be complete & her 3 years at Uni will be behind her !!  Next week - she is having a complete break..... a mini holiday if you like.....  She is fretting about getting a full time job - but, I told her to enjoy the moment !!  Friday is her last day... Saturday is her "graduation ball" & then a week off - it's a time to kick back & relax !!  Well, I think so at least !!

Anyhoo - that's what the family are up to at the moment.... as for the music... well, I was given a 3 Cd set by the Allman Brothers on Saturday & I'm playing that as I type.  It from 2003 & is one of the "Instant Live" sets they have released.  I think they only did 6 in 2003 - so, now I have 3 of them !!

We went down to the record fair - and met a bunch of friends.  One of those gave me the above set.  I also bought an "Official Bootleg" from Leslie West - one of several he has released over the years.  It was only £4.99 - so, the price was right & it has a version of Billy Joel's "New York State Of Mind".  B is a big BJ fan - so, it was worth getting it, just for that !!

I also came home with a bag full of empty Cd cases..... but, as there is no fair until September, they will last me well beyond that !!  I was asked, why I use so many cases - well, simple really.  I transfer Cd's, that come in card sleeves, into cases for safe keeping.  Last Friday - I had 3 Cd's come from Lady V & Sir J ("Hi") and one of them is a signed copy of  Jaimoe's 'Renaissance Man' album.  So, instead of me damaging the sleeve, it's now in a case & the sleeve is put away for safe keeping !!  It works for me.......

Sunday was a good & bad day.  I was able to go to Church, but I couldn't stay very long..... as I told the Bishop - I had what NASA would call a body "malfunction"... never mind... the thought was there !!  I was able to return B's  Lp's to him - with the last of the Cd's.  he kept thanking me for doing them.... but, I didn't mind too much, as it was only a few.  He didn't know what he was going to do with the Lp's - but, that's up to him to decide really.......

However - it wouldn't be a Sunday at Church, unless somebody upset me !!  One person, who has some stuff of mine, said as he didn't know when I would show up, he never knew when to bring it !!  As I said to him, I never know when I'm going to be sick.... so, I was sorry if my health spoilt his plans !!  "Bummer !" !!

One thing they should ban from Church... it's those blooming Ipad thingy's !!  People claim to use them, as the hymns are on them & they can use them to read the words.  All well & good - but, as soon as the hymn finishes, they start playing games on the things !!  Honestly - it's meant to be a Church service - not an hour down the local arcade !!

It was recorded in Mannheim, Germany.  It is what it is - a 2 hour soundboard recording of one of the 1980 shows.... I'm not a big fan !!  More another time - just don't buy bootlegs !!

Ok - my plans for today..... as usual, none at all !!  I didn't have the best of nights, so I might get my head down & have a sleep !!  That sounds like a great plane to me folks..... until next time...
