Fort Worth & the sound of distant drums !!

Greetings Worlds !!

It's wet Thursday evening here in England..... it's not too cold, just wet & miserable.  Never mind - it's not been too bad a day..... B took me into town this morning & that was Ok - tho' I could of done with-out some of the crowds !!  Oh well.... can't have everything !!

As for my Wife & dearest friend... she is in town, meeting up with ME - who is getting her hair cut.  When they've finished, the 2 of them + M (ME's boyfriend) are all coming back here... with a take away - probably a KFC or something like that.  I don't really mind what they get, as I won't be eating any of it !!

As for the other member of the family - J - he is upstairs.... as usual, keeping an eye on me, while B is out.  It's no big deal - but, it is nice to know there is someone at home, if I need help.  I'll try & keep out of mischief !!

As for me - I'm not having too bad a day.  A few pains & aches - but, on the upside, I ordered some blank Cd's from a company.... that was yesterday morning... and they reached me at 10.45am this morning !!  That's pretty good going !!  They even sent me an e-mail, to say they would reach me between 10.40 & 11.40am this
morning !!  So, the delivery guy was right on time.... can't be bad !!

Only a few years ago, I wouldn't of ordered anything thru' the internet... now, it just works out sooooo much cheaper, that I don't give it a second thought !!  Oh well - even old idiots like me have to move with the times !!

The music of the moment is an old Marillion single....... I really seem to be playing their things a lot this week !!  It must be just the ways things are, I guess - as I'm not seeking them out - they just seem to be playing when I post, at the moment !!

We were thinking about going into Taunton this morning.... but, we kind of gave up on that idea.  ME went in & picked up a few things B needed, so that kind of saved us a trip..... I can live with-out going into the Cd shops - well, just for a little longer anyhow !!

I do have another Zeppelin concert, from August 23rd 1971....... I seem to have a lot of concerts from this '71 tour !!  Anyhoo - this is part of a concert, recorded in Fort Worth, Texas... the tracks are:

It's only a bit of the concert, but it's worth having in the collection.  As always, don't buy bootlegs... buy the official stuff !!  More another night....

The news has just come on the TV & they have found the body of the little boy, who went missing a few days ago.  I'm glad they found him - it will, at least, give his Mum & Dad some form of closure.  They are in our prayers.

Ok - my plans for tonight... probably sit back & watch a bit of TV with the family, when they all get back here from town..... I don't think I will be having too late a night.  I tried to get a bit of sleep, this afternoon - I didn't have a brilliant night, last night - but, just as I started to "nod off"... the neighbour's Son ( a few doors away) started to bang on his drum kit.... so, that put an end to that !!

I actually don't mind it.... him practising on his drums... but, it is very interesting.  The reason being, a year or 2 back, the neighbour made a big complaint, about the noise of their immediate neighbour - now, the shoe is on the other foot !!  Never mind.... I honestly think it's good, that the kid is learning to play the drums.... but, it is a little ironic !!  I suspect the sound of the drums can be heard quite a ways around the village - so, we'll have to see if there are any complaints made about it !!  Time will tell !!
