Greetings World's !!
It's a very warm & humid Friday afternoon, here in England's South-West...... cooler than it has been - but, still very warm !! Nevermind - it's been a fantastic couple of days... so.....
First off tho' - the family.
For the last couple of hours, ME - our Daughter - has been here...... mainly as she is off work, this past week & - I think - she wanted to get out of her & partner M's house, just for a short while. As I type - B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - and her have gone down the village.
Murphy is on his own, again, this afternoon - so... the ladies have decided to take him down the park, for a walk & a little play around. Plus - I've packaged up a parcel, for my friend in Bristol & B is going to post that off, for me !!
I have really been "out of it" - as far as sending Cd's off to people - over the last few months. I haven't been able to concentrate on that, as well as trying to sort out the wound, in my back !! "What wound ?!" I hear you say.... check out, any post, from May 2013 onwards, for that small detail - it's just taken over our lives, it really has.... but - we have had some good news, on that subject !!
As you may have read, in my last couple of posts... on Wednesday... a couple of days ago... I had another meeting, with the plastic surgeon - based down, in the Exeter hospital. If all goes to plan - in early September (maybe later) - he is going to do the operation, that we all know, he should of done, last May 12th !!
He has admitted, that he got it wrong... and should have not gone for the straight "skin graft" surgery, .... and gone right to the bigger surgery, of moving things around & plugging the wound, that way !! We tried to tell you this Sir, but.... you wouldn't listen !! Oh well......
Ok - I know he thought he was doing the right thing.... but, B & I have lived with this, for the last year & a bit - so, we kind of know my body, just a little bit better, than he gave us credit for !!
He has warned us, that things can still go wrong - "yeah, no shit !!" - but,. he thinks it will be worth the try... so, here's hoping things will gradually come to some sort of conclusion - now - & we can move
on !!
Life is still good...... but, it could be better !!
This morning, one of the district nurses came over & redressed things.... and, they will continue to do that, until it's all - kind of - behind us...... time will tell, on when that is going to be, exactly - but, at least things are moving on !! As I say - "life is good" !!
As she was off work... ME came with us, to Exeter and we made a......
..... got to take a break !!
Saturday....... 24 hours later !!
Hi again...
That was a longer break, than I expected !!
The Elders made an un-announced visit & my day sort of went South, from then on.... hence, I didn't get around to writing anything else - sorry about that !!
I really don't mind the guys coming over - but, I wish they would consider giving me a 'phone call first, before descending on me !! I wasn't exactly very healthy, yesterday... so, I could of done with-out a visit.... nevermind !!
Back to Wednesday !!
As mentioned, the 3 of us went down to Exeter.... B & ME + your's truly. We had a great day - hospital aside, that is !! The Sun was out & we managed to get around all of the shops, that we wanted... plus, we had lunch together.... something we haven't done, on a shopping trip for a very long time !!
I managed to make my Daughter's day - I'm pleased to say !!
There is this one shop, that both the ladies, of the house, really love.... so, while I was left to my own thoughts, in HMV - the ladies went walk-a-bout. They came back to me.... and told me, of this bag, that ME had seen... one she had wanted for a very long time.
So - I thought... "Why not ?!" and bought it for her.... she loved it !! I love my Children sooooo very much - I'm pleased I was able to make her smile !! I don't think I've seen her that happy, in a very long time !! Bless her.......
I bought B a couple of small things - also, she has ordered another bag... which should be coming soon. I think they are going up to Bristol, to pick that one up - maybe on Wednesday, I don't really know exactly !!
As for me....
Well - being let loose in a HMV is very, very dumb.... but, in the end, I olnly picked up a couple or 3 things. They were..
Allman Brothers Band - 'Hollywood Bowl 1972
Grateful Dead - 'Blues For Allah
Plus, the music of the moment -
Jefferson - 'Flight Box'
It's a 3 Cd set.... featuring a Cd - which I have already 'At Golden Gate Park'  May 7th 1969 and a 2 Cd set, from their last concert, at the 'Winterland Arena' San Francisco on September 22nd 1972.
I'm not sure, exactly, if it's their very last concert, as the Airplane... or, just their last concert, at the venue - it's  listed as 'Last Flight' - but, the booklet is a bit vague on the details !! The tracks are:
CD 1
  1) Introduction - Bill Graham
  2) Somebody To Love
  3) Twilight Double Leader
  4) Wooden Ships
  5) Milk Train
  6) Blind John
  7) Come back baby
  8) The Son Of Jesus
  9) Long John Silver
10) When The Earth Moves Again
11) Papa John's Down Home Blues
12) Eat Starch Mom
CD 2
1) John's Other
2) Trial By Fire
3) Lax Man
4) Have You Ever Seen The Saucers ?
5) Aerie (Gang Of Eagles)
6) Crown Of Creation
7) Walking The Tou Tou
8) Diana/Volunteers
By the time, that this was recorded... well, it wasn't the original Jefferson Airplane line up.... but, heck - it's all music folks and I'm not complaining !! Great stuff...
I had an e-mail from Lady V - over the Allman's 'Hittin' The Note' web site - the multi cd set, containing the bands 'Fillmore East' live shows is on it's way to me !! That is something I really am looking forward to hearing !! I have several parts, of the set, already - but not the complete thing... so, I really am going to enjoy listening to that !!
I'll no doubt list the other stuff, at some point - but, not today. I need to be on my ways & do a couple of things..... nothing special.... but, I must away !! I'm kind of knackered at the moment....
I thank you all, for taking the time to log in & read my words - I see I've had a reader, over in Turkey - "Hi" - it's good to know you are there.....until next time....
Bye Bye
