"Happy Birthday....." !! Ho-hum..

Hi again Everybody !!

It's a wet & sticky Monday - here in Old England !! I've got to be honest - I wasn't going to write anything today - mainly as I have felt like crap.... since Saturday night really. I spent Saturday, doing this, that & the other... and, by the evening - I started to feel poorly, followed by a very restless night.

That went on... into Sunday - and, I didn't get out of bed once... thru' out the whole day !! I must have got up, at some point, at least once, I'm not super human..... but, it wasn't until today, that I have felt well enough, to come down stairs & try & get on with things !! Oh well....

A little earlier, the nurse came, to do my dressings. That wasn't a lot of fun - one of the worse sessions I've had, in a very long while !! Nevermind - after she had finished.... I crashed out, for a couple of hours, and now - it's 3pm & I'm here writing things down - oh well !!

Ok - as I type - B is upstairs, making my Sister-In-Law a birthday card...... I've only met the lady once, as far as I know..... and that was at B's Mum's funeral. I don't have a lot of time, for B's Brother..... maybe that's for the best.

Anyhoo - B's making a card..... and so, that just leaves me, surrounded with my own cards - playing a Led Zeppelin bootleg, very - very loudly !! Why the cards - it's my birthday !! Yep... "happy birthday to me" !!

We were going to go, into Taunton, today... mainly so I could go into HMV & treat myself to some music. But - feeling like crap... plus, it's really raining hard - well, I hope, we can go in, tomorrow. I will see how things go....

I have to go, into the Dr's - in the morning... so, if it stays dry & I feel Ok - I will see about making the trip then. It's only 10 miles, over the hills..... so, I feel like making the journey, as long as everything goes Ok !!

As for the music of the moment... well, that's the bootleg, I wrote a little about.

It was recorded on February 15th 1975... and, as best as I can remember, it's a complete soundboard tape, of the show. It from New York's Madison Square Garden & the tracks are:

It's a great concert - only spoilt, for me at least, by the fact - well, it's the basic 1975 concert set least !! So - if you've heard one show - you have pretty much - with a couple of differences, from show to show, heard the lot of them !!

As long time readers will know - I prefer the 1977 set list & the concerts that went along with it !! They were sooooo over the top, great concerts !!

Tomorrow, if all goes well - I will pick up the new version of Zeppelin's second album.... with the extra tracks, on a so called "bonus" disc. If it's anything like the other 2, that I have here, well.... I will wait & see & hope that I enjoy it !!

Right - my plans for today.... none at all really. I'm going to sit back & enjoy what's left of the day & just chill out, hopefully.... by tomorrow, I will feel a shed load better & life will carry on..... time will tell, on that one !!

Even tho' it's my birthday - I don't really feel like celebrating. It's no biggy - just don't feel too much like being the "birthday boy" !! Nevermind....
