Manowar - 'Hell On Stage Live'

Greetings World's !!

It's a very warm & Sunny Monday, here in England.... I've just come home, after getting my dressings changed & it really is good outside........ makes a change, from our usual wet & windy days !!

As I type, I'm home alone - B has just gone over to the M & M's house, to help with some stuff... I'm not really sure what - but, I don't mind. I'm sat here with the music turned down to deafening & a Sci-fi film playing silently over on the TV to my left.

The music of the moment is the final concert, from the Allman Brothers 2014 tour - their last concert ever, as they have decided to retire the band !! I've played this concert, over & over... especially while I was laid up in the hospital(s). With very little else to do - I could play it right thru' & close me eyes & kind of drift off !!

Having followed the band for many a Moon - it's a really great concert, to listen to & to finish their careers together with... in a word, brilliant !! I won't bother you all, with a track listing, mainly as I've already typed it, at some point, a while back.... check out one of my earlier posts !!

The postman has just been - I had really hoped, that he would bring the latest Gov't Mule release - which should of been here, on the day of release, last Monday.... but, being as we had the long Easter weekend, I'm guessing things have been held up !!

I really hope it gets here, this coming week - I really want to listen to it !!

I did get another box of Star Trek models.... which, if you are a long time reader, will know, I've been collection over the past few months or so.

For those of you who know their Star Trek stuff, today's models are from 'Star Trek Enterprise' - The Intrepid & and the 2nd one is from 'Star Trek Voyager' & that's a Malon Export Vessel. Make of that, as you wish - I'll put them, upstairs, with all of the rest of the models & at some point, put them away someplace, for a future generation to have !!

I know - it's kind of dumb, collecting this sort of stuff.... trains, planes & spaceships - but, what the heck... I just hope, that somebody - a few years from now, will enjoy them !! I expect, that I will be long dead, before any Grand-kids come along.... but, one day, they might have some fun with the things !!

I mentioned, being in hospital & listening to the Allmans album.... well, another Cd that I really enjoyed, was by the mighty Manowar !! It's a 2 Cd live set called 'Hell On Stage Live'. The tracks are:

CD 1

1) Metal Daze
2) Dark Avenger
3) March For Revenge
4) Hatred
5) Gates Of Valhalla
6) Bridge Of Death
7) William's Tale
8) Guyana (Cult Of The Damned)

CD 2

1) The Warrior's Prayer
2) Blood Of The Kings
3) Sting Of The Bumble Bee
4) Heart Of Steel
5) Master Of The Wind
6) Outlaw
7) The Power
8) The Crown & The Ring

I bought this set, quite a while ago now.... before that, I had only one Cd by the band - 'Hail To England' - which, is pretty good !! So, I bought the live set, just to see how good or bad it was... and, to be honest, I'm well happy with it !! It certainly blasted the cob-webs out of my brain !! Great stuff !!

I mentioned a film... well, B bought it for me, just before the weekend. It's called 'Interstella' & stars Mathew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway & Michael Caine. As the name suggest - it's a bit of a Sc-fi yarn.... lasting about 160+ minutes.... I've enjoyed it - but, I think My Wife & Dearest Friend struggled a bit with the whole "time travelling" (sort of) plot line. Nevermind.... it's given me something to watch !!

Back to music...

I saw a poster, in the Taunton library - which said, that as of April 1st - they were no longer buying any new Cd's !! That's a bit of a bummer... mainly as I use the library, to listen to Cd's - and, if I like them, go out & buy myself a copy !! Now - well... I don't know if this is going to be a short term thing, but !! If it's going to be a very long term thingy - well, I guess I'll be buying Cd's.... without having had the luxury of hearing them first !! As I say - a real bummer !!

I only really go into the blooming library, to check out Cd's... sooooo, I guess there will be little point in going there. Time will tell, I guess, but !! I might e-mail the library service & see what is going on..... Oh well...

I might of mentioned this before - but.....

One of our neighbours has a Son - who must be about 30+ - and he was going to the hospital, to have an injection, in his back. It's a fairly common thing... over the years, I've had 3 of the things.... I think my Father-in-Law has had it done a couple of times as well - as I say, it's a common thing, to help with back pain.

For some reason, his Mum... well, because I've had this major back surgery, she seems to think that her "little boy" is going to have the same thing - with all the complications that I've had. I know for a fact - he is not... mainly as my surgery, well - it was really a bit of a one off !!

I spoke with her yesterday & told her, that I've warmed up enough beds, for her Son - it's his turn now !! To which she said, "I'm not letting him have it done" - by which, I guess, she means his injection, into his back ?!

Honestly - it really pisses me off !! He is having nothing like I've had done... but, she really is trying to make out that her "boy" is going to go thru' all of what I've had to live with !! If his back, was that bad, he would be climbing over people, to get it fixed !! Oh well.... her "little boy" is about 250 pounds & really is a bit of a jerk !! Honestly... "I'm not letting him have it done" !! Shit woman.... it's only an injection !!

B knows it gets to me - to think that her Son is going to have it all done, to go thru' the same surgery as myself - when I know full well, from my experiences, that he is not.... as I say, a bit of a jerk !!

I'll know, if she reads this post - she will fly off the handle & never speak to me again - that's no big deal, I can live without her giving me grief !! Moving on....

I have to finish soon, as I have a bundle of washing up to do, before B gets home, from ME's place. I'm not really sure, what time I have - so, I best be on my ways.

As always - I thank you all, for taking the time, to log in & read my words.... until next time...

Bye Bye
