It's a brilliant Saturday morning here in old England.... the sky is bright, the rain has blown thru' & life feels good !! That might be the drugs speaking, but I feel pretty good this morning.... drugs or no drugs !!
Two of the family are out at the moment.... B has just gone into town to sort out a few things & then onto the gym, while ME is working in Taunton today. J has just got up - probably because I have the music up a little loud - so, that leaves me here typing on this old keyboard of mine !! It's - for me - going to be a quiet day, in spirit, if not in practice........ the music will be loud today !!
At the moment, I'm playing Lou Reed's 'Coney Island Baby' live set......... it's an old VHS tape, transferred over to CD, for my own personal use !! I'm not sure when it was recorded - I'll have to check it out at some point !!
The reason for playing it this morning, well - it's simple.... Lou Reed & Metalica were on TV last night, to do a few tracks & so..... I dug this out today, just to play thru'. I think it was recorded in 1987, tho' I'm not really sure !!
B was looking thru' a music mag I bought last week...... there is an advert in there for the latest Nightwish album.... Yippeeeeeeeee !! I think Father Christmas is going to be very busy this year !! I didn't think it would be out until the new year, so that's a bonus !! The last album 'Dark Passion Play' was well good...... let's hope the new one is as good !!
Lou Reed is just playing thru' 'Walk On The Wild Side'..... a great song !! I should play more of his stuff, I know I have some Cd's over on the shelf - I just forget about them - never mind !!
From what I can see, the vigil went well in Taunton last night, with hundreds of invited guest there.... I suspect it would of been many more, had the public been let in. It will take a while, but hopefully the healing process will kick in & lives will go on........... time will tell on that one.
I see my Russian & American readers have been logged in - many thanks for reading...... it's great to know you're there ..... also my friend in India !! Keep reading, it really is good to know that you're there !! I only started this blog, to give me something to do, to try & keep my thoughts together !! To know that 1000+ pages have been read around the World is kind of weird..... but, in a brilliant way, if that makes any sense at all !!
I'm not sure what the weekend holds for us, plan wise...... if all goes well, we'll be at Church tomorrow - but, that will depend how things go & what sort of night I have. Last night was pretty good - I seem to get thru' it alright - woke up several times, but managed to get back to sleep... so, that helped !! Even knowing I wasn't going to do very much today, being a Saturday.... well, I look forward to the weekends, I really do..... it's another week over & that means soooo much to me !!
B has already started getting things together, for my surgery on the 22nd. We always have an 'emergency' bag on hand - just for when I go in unexpected - but, she is getting everything sorted, so I don't have to worry about it next week, or whenever it is !! 10 days today..... it's coming along, a day at a time !! Oh well.........
I'm enjoying this Lou Reed Cd - I'm not sure when I last played it !! Probably years ago.... I played 'The Raven' a lot, when I first got that.... but, his live stuff is sooooo much better !!
The 'phone just rang, so I picked it up..... some guy sang to me for about 30 seconds, then put the phone down !! This is one weird place we live in - mind you, I've not been to any other Worlds, so perhaps the Universe is all like this - now, there is a question for another day !!
Well, as Lou Reed is coming to an end, I better away......... until next time.....
