B has just gone out to a gym class - I stood at the door to say goodbye & it's horrid out there !! Wet & cold - not nice at all !! Nevermind - I'm staying in here tonight...... there is no way I'm going out there !!
Ok - so, that's B... ME is here waiting for her boyfriend to reach us & J is upstairs - probably on his computer as normal. Hopefully soon he'll find some kind of job - I think he's finding it hard going at the moment !!
As for me.... I'm my usual self. I've been indoors all day, so all in all I've had a very quiet day..... tomorrow will be different tho' - we have to go back to the dentist !! Yippeeeeee !!
If you've read these words over the last year or so, you'll know how much B hates the dentist !! Me, I'm Ok with going, but B - no way !! She hates going, she really does...... never mind, by this time tomorrow, it'll be all behind us. Hopefully B won't have to go back - I probably will, but.... time will tell !! I don't mind... the worst thing for me, really - is having to print up a 'drug list' for the guy & then having to try & remember which is which !! I know what they look like, but as for their names - no chance....... I'll see how I get on.
In a way I'll be glad to see the guy. He sent me to see the consultant all those months ago & the consultant was not a very nice man, at all !! All he did was moan that I shouldn't of been sent to see him etc etc. I need to make sure my dentist didn't get into any trouble over it - he only did what he thought was right !! Onwards .......
The music of the moment is U2's 'Bad' from the 'Live Aid' Cd's I mentioned last night........ when it finishes, I will be heading toward a Bruce Springsteen bootleg, that a friend sent me in the post. The latter is from 1975 & is new to me... so, that'll be a good listen. Or at least I hope it will be !! It looks very much like the same tracks that he played in London, the same year.... so, it could be good.... I'll find out in a few minutes !!
I've not played hardly any music today - which is very unusual for me !! I did plan on listening to more of this 'Live Aid' set, but never got around to it....... I just sat with B & we watch TV together for an hour or so. It's nice to kick back & be together. There wasn't much on, but it was good to be together for a while.
We were talking about my next surgery - it's under 3 weeks now & we're sort of getting ourselves used to the fact. I really hope I can come home the same day - but, we'll see how things go. B does worry about me - as I've said before.... each time I go in, it's harder for her. She really worries, in case things go wrong & what have you. As each surgery comes along, she worries more & more that something might go wrong....as for me, well....... I really do have the easy part !!
I've just started the Springsteen boot - it's on 2 Cd's & seems to be a soundboard recording, so it could be a good listen. What he will do, now that The Big Man has died - well.... I honestly don't know.
I was watching some of Marco Simoncelli's funeral earlier. That has been a sad loss - his funeral was soooo good, it really was. His dad wants there to be a "minute of noise" at the next GP - with all the bikes making as much noise as they can, to celebrate his Son's passing....... rather than the traditional minute of silence. It's going to be this weekend, so we'll see what they do - we'll miss him & that's for sure......
This weekend, so I've found out - Iced Earth are doing a concert in Exeter !! Now, that is tempting !! But, we won't be going...... I've not looked, but I'm guessing the tickets have sold out by now - shame, if I had found out earlier, I would of loved to have gone & seen them !! Never mind - to me, Gregg Allman's concert, in July was great way to finish my "concert going"....... it would of been hard to top that & - to honest - I don't really want to try !! So - I'll listen to my Iced Earth 'live' albums & have done with it......
At the moment, Springsteen is bombing thru' 'Born To Run'.... it's well good !! I should of played this earlier, put the sound up a bit higher than now & had a bop along to it !! Well good......... it will be played over & over !!
I have to have a tidy up - there is another bunch of Cd's in front of me, that - well - need to be sorted & put away. This is what happens !! I play stuff, people send me stuff & I do new stuff..... so, bit by bit - things overtake me & cover the whole table !! It's crazy....... !! There are at least 20 odd Cd's in front of me - I must put them away !! Not tonight tho'... I just want a quiet night, listen to some music & get sorted for me bed !!
Before that tho' - I have to record a TV programme that B likes, about scary people & how they drive their cars... followed by, the BBC's latest nature programme - but...... it's not going to be too much to do - I'm just a little tired tonight & in a little bit of pain. So for now - I must away........I'll play out with Gun's & Roses - doing 'The Godfather Theme' - how cool is that ? Until next time, take care...
