The Dentists # ? & Knebworth 1985

Greetings Worlds !!

It's a bright & - for the time of year - warm day, here in England..... B is here, a few feet away, having a warm drink, J is upstairs & ME is at work... all is quiet in the homestead !!

B & I have been into town already this morning - well, earlier... it's about 1pm now..... - as, once again, it was time to visit our fantastic dentist.... B's most hated appointments are spend in the dentist's
chair !!

Never mind - today was just a check up & she got away with nothing being done.... unlike my good self, who needed one bit of work doing.  Luckily, the dentist agreed to do it there & then - with-out an injection... so, that's all behind us & our next appointment will be in the new year sometime !!

As long term readers will know - I honestly have no problems with the dentist..... so.... it's no big deal !!

Anyways - we went to the store afterwards, picked up some foodstuffs & headed back here..... B has now gone back out, to see a 'new' gym... to explain....

B goes to a gym, at the YMCA & has a month by month membership there... mainly as it's really cheap, well.... compared to some of the gyms around here !!  Well, having said that - there is a 'new' place opened up... which is just outside of the village & B wanted to check it out.. as did the neighbour she helps, from time to time.  So... that's where they have gone .....

It is more expensive... about £10 a month more, but - as it's a lot closer, B might save that on petrol, by not going into town each time.  Over the month, she probably uses about that much.... so, the extra cost could balance out !!

My main concern isn't the cost... I'm more concerned that the neighbour might take advantage of B's good nature & use her as a cheap source of transport !!  She has a car - so, there is no reason why she can't drive herself.... but, I'm worried that she will "use" B as a taxi.... which, I won't be too happy about !!

The neighbour is very nice - and I know she has problems - but, she does have a tendency to ... well, the more you do, the more she wants.... so, B will have to be careful.... I don't want her to be used - I've got to look out for my Wife & Dearest Friend !!

The music of the moment is a Cd featuring live sets from Mama's Boys & Mountain..... both recorded at Knebworth, in 1985.  Deep Purple headlined the day & these 2 were on the supporting lists..... I'm a big fan of Mountain & - to fill the Cd up - I used the Mama's Boy's set..... they were a good band... but, I think they folded after the drummer died...... not sure about that.  As for Mountain - Leslie West is still going strong (I think)... and this set, altho' it's short, is really good !!

I don't have any Zeppelin shows from today.... in a couple of days, but not for now....

I had hoped the postman would drop off some new stuff these morning, but.... he's been & gone & left a bunch of junk mail - never mind.... I have some Cd's & DVD's on their way to me... mostly Therion - but, also a Cd by Tesla...... B really liked their acoustic set, so... it's on it's way to us !!

Somewhere here, I have some sets by Neil Young & Bruce Springsteen... my friend, from South America, gave them to me while he was here.... but, as normal, I can't remember what I did with them !!  After I finish this post, I'll spend some time looking for them.... they can't be too far away !!

Last night was a bit weird......our friend, from Church, came around..... but, as we hadn't heard from him, we didn't really expect him to show up !!  So, we were ready for bed... I had taken all of my pills & potions & then there was a knock at the door !!  It was Ok - we explained we didn't expect him... but, he went thru' a lesson with us - by which time, I was falling asleep.... so, as he saw I was tired, he left earlier than normal !!

I did feel very guilty, but... not knowing he was coming - we just went on & did what we normally do..... oh well...

Tonight, I think, the Elders are coming over.... hopefully not too late !!  I have some questions for them, about Temple - if we're allowed to go - so, hopefully they will be able to give us some answers on the subject.

Then - on Sunday - the President of the Temple is coming over, from London & if I'm well enough, we are going to have a meeting with him.  I'm not 100% sure why... why we have to see him, it's not a normal thing... but, we'll see what he has to say !!

Hand on heart, I don't think we'll be allowed to go.... I really don't - but, we'll have to wait & see what happens !!  why it's taken sooooo long for us, to get this far... well, it's not our fault.. or at least, I don't think it is..... we just seem to have been forgotten about.... but, only for the last 4 years... nothing too long or exciting !!

Looking ahead, again, to the weekend... B's dad wants her to go up, on Saturday, to go with him & look at an apartment.  He thinks the house is getting too much for him, so... he wants to sell up & live in a smaller place.....

... for reading "too much for him"... well, he's probably run out of money (again) and needs to sell the house !!  B's brother is against the sell - mainly for the reason... well, if the house is sold, it will cut his inheritance !! As for B, I think she just wants to stay out of it !!  If she goes along, or not, is up to her.... but.... if her Dad wants to sell the house, it has to be his decision & not something for others to force on him... if that makes any sense ?!

B has just come back from the gym visit.... it's all new & stuff... but, it's going to cost too much, for her liking !! The extra money she saves on petrol, won't cover the cost of going.... so, I guess she'll stay with the place she goes to now....

Right... I better be on my ways...... things to do & everything + I'm tired from last night, so I might get a bit of beauty sleep this afternoon... I'll wait & see.... I thank you all for logging in today... until next time..
