Hi again World's !!
It's the last day of the year & my very last post of 2015 !! This year has come & gone so quickly, it's hard to put into words really !! I can't remember what I wrote, at the start of the year.... but, here's to the end of 2015 & hopefully things will get better & better, all around the World, in 2016 !!
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is sat, over to my left, reading a new book, that came this morning. A friend sent an Amazon voucher, so I gave it to B & she bought herself a book with it.
I don't know exactly what I would of got for myself..... probably some more Transatlantic Cd's.... I have a couple of their older things, that I want to add to the collection..... but, for now, B has got herself a book !!
As for the rest of the family... Yesterday, ME came over to see us for a while. B has made "The Bump" a nice little cardigan thingy & ME was over the Moon with it !! Sooooo much so, that she put a picture of it, on her Facebook page !! It was nice tho'.... hopefully the Grand Daughter will look a delight in it... of course she will !!
Sooooo that's the family. As for the music of the moment....
I'm listening to the very first Allman Brothers album. I ordered a new copy, using my points, on Play..... so, it was a freebie & worth every point !! Ok - I already had a copy, as part of the 'Beginnings' album - but... you can never have too many Allman Brothers albums..... and that's a fact.
The tracks are:
1) Don't want You No More
2) It's Not My Cross To Bear
3) Black Hearted Woman
4) Trouble No More
5) Every Hungry Woman
6) Dreams
7) Whipping Post
I had this album, on Lp.... and, as I said above, also on Cd - but, it's nice to get it, on it's own, so to speak. It's going to be my last album of 2015 !! I've only just thought about that !! "Wow" how many albums have I bought this year... way too many, I guess !!
Right, my New Year's resolution, is to put every album, into some kind of order...... at the moment, they're everywhere & I can't find anything !! Sooooo - I want to put them into an A-Z type of thing. At least, I can put them together... say, all the albums by Mountain, in the same area, on the same shelf, maybe. Time will tell, at least the spirit is willing !! I will let you all know....
Going back to this morning... I sent an e-mail, to the guy I met in hospital. I just wanted to let him know how things were going this end & wish him well, for the New year. I also tried to get in touch with the guy, who had a bad leg/foot.... not quite sure what he had wrong with him ?! Anyhoo - his 'phone was on answerphone only, so I missed him again !!
Going back, to last night... I dug out a bunch of 35 cassettes. I've written before, about 'Project 87'.... well, these tapes form 'Project 35' - the 2nd one, the 2nd 'Project' set of tapes, that I ever did.
They were recorded over one year, onto the tapes & I'm thinking about putting them onto Cd's. again - time will tell. But, there is one big difference, between the 2 sets of tapes, is that this new one, well.... it has Cd recordings on it.
The first load, were recorded from Lp's & various tapes.... this new one, well, we had a Cd player by that time, hence the Cd recordings. Another thing - I can remember most of the first 'Project' - the reason why I recorded the things..... not this 2nd one !! It's going to be a bit of a mystery, how & what's on each tape - but, it's going to be fun, listening to them all !!
Right - I must away......
I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... anytime you want to comment, please be my guest !! Also, if you feel like going on & planting your face, on the top, as a follower, well - that would be good !!
So - with a lot of thank's - I wish you all a "Happy New Year" and I will be back in 2016 !! It's going to be the best year yet.... until next time...
Bye Bye

Lemmy RIP
Greetings World's !!
It's another Tuesday, here in England & for the last hour, I've been laughing my socks off, watching episodes of 'The Big Bang Theory'. B bought me the box set, containing the first 8 seasons.... well, good !!
Talking of B - she is over to my left - sorting out needles, for her next knitting project......... the latest offering is finished, apart from a few buttons, for the front. Our Grand Daughter is going to to look pretty special, wearing it !!
As for the M & M's - they were over here, a few hours back........ ME had to go down to the local Dr's, to have a meeting with her mid-wife lady (I think). I've actually had 2 trips, down to the same place, today. Once to see my local Dr. - that was this morning.... the 2nd time - well, that was to have my dressings changed again !!
I said to B - today's change, well.... that marks the last time, for this year !! After everything, that has gone on this year - it's a bit of milestone, to know, that it's the last time !! Kind of brilliant really..... Hopefully, in 2016, things will progress & my life will just get better & better !! Time will tell, I guess....
So - that's the family.... as for the music...
I just wanted to say a big "Whoop" for the man that was Lemmy. His death, due to cancer, was a really bad end to this year..... I only met the guy once - as the family know, he pinched a beer, that I was drinking. But - his music will live on.......
His death, just weeks after the death of Motorhead's ex-drummer Philthy Phil.... well, it's hard to come to terms, with the fact, that sooooo many of the guys, that I "grew up" with, are passing away !! The music will live on tho' - people like me, well... we'll make sure about that !!
So - that's about it, for today..... Ok - I know this is a short post, but.... can't be helped today. So - I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words..... until next time.....
Bye Bye

Transatlantic.... and other stuff....
Greeting's World's !!
It's a Monday again - for me the start of another week...... Ok, I know there are many of you, who work 7 days a week, but Monday is the start for me !! Anyhoo - how are you all doing this fine December
day ?!
B & I are doing pretty good.... we've just returned from a trip to town. B wanted to visit one of her favourite stores, to get some wool. She's going to be knitting a small kind of hooded thing, for our Grand Daughter. I'm not 100% sure what it's going to be - as long as B knows, that's good enough for me !! Whatever - we're doing Ok...
B is now upstairs, having a bit of a tidy around. Not really sure, which room she's in..... but, you get the general idea. Wife = house = tidy session !! Hopefully she will be down, in a short while, as I've made her a disgusting pot of her de-caff tea, that she drinks...... if it tastes as bad as it looks, well..... no contest !!
Going back to yesterday - Sunday..... we actually went to Church again !! After 2 years, 6+ months, we decided to put the past behind us & try & make a new start. I don't know, quite how else to put it, really. There is a new Bishop & a whole new load of faces....... sooooo !!
The Bishop actually came to see me, in the hospital - so it was good to go back & show, on my part, that I was willing. It did feel good tho' - it was great to be back, in the chapel & surrounded, in the most part, by some old friends !!
We were surrounded, at the beginning, by people welcoming us, back to the services...... that was a bit over powering, but nice in a kind of way. Oh well.....
One of the guys, well - he really needs to have a good wash !! I know he doesn't have a lot of cash - but, it does not cost that much to buy a cheap bar of soap & boil a kettle for some hot water !! His "BO" is - as I wrote just a second or two back - is really over powering !! Nevermind..... life goes on....
Staying with yesterday.....
When we got home, there was a Cd waiting for me, from Amazon !! I didn't expect that !! I thought that - being a long weekend, I wouldn't get anything, until at least tomorrow..... nice surprise tho' !!
The Cd is by Transatlantic is dated from 2000..... called 'SMPT:E'... I've probably got that wrong, as the title is a bit blurred, as is the date - but, you might know the album I'm talking about ?! The tracks are:
1) All Of The Above (30:59)
2) We All Need Some Light (5:45)
3) Mystery Train (6:52)
4) My New World (16:16)
6) In Held (Twas) In I (17:21)
I usually leave the times off, when I write tracks down, but - given the various lengths, I thought I would make an exception this time around. As you tell, some of the longer ones, are really a bit special.... plus, I can match these older studio tracks, together with the newer 'live' Cd's the guys have released !! I was listening to it, on the way into town, a little earlier.... sounds really good... !! Go & check it out - if not this album, anything Transatlantic do.... all of their recordings are really good !!
The music of the moment, well - that's the Allman Brothers 'Cow Palace' concert, that I wrote about, a day or two back.... I'm still working my ways thru' it's 4 hours !! It's really good, to have a copy, on Cd - as opposed to a cassette version.... well good !!
I mentioned a day or two back - how I had an e-mail, from a guy I hadn't heard from in the best part of 20 years.... well, I had another e-mail today, from a guy I met in the hospital. It's funny - but, out of the two - I'm happier with the second e-mail, from the guy I hardly know, as opposed to the guy I used to know !! I'll get around to writing back, maybe tomorrow.... not today...... maybe tomorrow.
For now tho' - I must away....... things to do & the such like, I have 25 Cd's, that need sorting thru' & marking up. They're for a friend & I need to go thru' all 25 of them, before I hand them over. That's only going to take an hour, but it needs to be done.....
Sooooo - for now, I thank you for logging in & for reading my words. As always, it's good to know you're out there, in the internet Universe & that you take a few minutes out of your day, to read what I write..... until next time...

A great Christmas... thank's guys !!
Good afternoon, to all of you....
I hope your Boxing Day is going well ?! It's been a great couple of days - lots of good company & good food, courtesy of my Wife & Dearest Friend !! There were only the 2 of us, here for Christmas dinner, but the M & M's joined us later in the day, for a very light tea. All in all, it was a brilliant day !!
Talking of B - she is over to my left, doing some knitting ...... a thingy for our Grand Daughter, who is due, 2 months from today !! That's come around really quickly.... it wasn't very long ago, that we were told ME was pregnant !! Here's hoping everything goes well, for all 3 of them...... it won't be long now folks !!
B & I stayed here, all of yesterday.... just a quiet day, really. I did managed to get her, a cup of, de-caff, tea in bed...... it was the least I could do for her. She has looked after me sooooo much, this past 12 months + !! It was the least I could do, bless her....... Also, I wanted her to have her gifts, from me, in bed - before she got up & started doing other stuff !!
I was able to get her a couple of Cd's, from Bryan Adams & Adele - both their latest offerings.... plus season 11 of N.C.I.S. on DVD & a couple of books, by her favourite cooks, 'The Hairy Bikers' !! All of the gifts, seem to have been gladly received.... hope so, at least !!
At some point, I'm paying for a couple of subscriptions, to a magazine or two, that she wants......... but, that'll be in a week or two. I'm not sure, exactly, which she ones they are, but I'm sure I'll get told, nearer the time !!
As for me - I was well spoilt !! From the M & M's, I had a big & I mean BIG 'Man Tin' and a load of sweets to put in the thing !! It's going to take me forever, to even scratch the surface on that lot, I can tell you...... there are loads of sweets in the thing...... !!
Plus, they gave me my very own Tribble !! It's a brilliant gift !! I can look after her, while watching the two DVD's they gave me..... 'The Desolation Of Smaug' on Blu-ray (the extended version) + a DVD of 'The Jinx'. I'm really looking forward to watching the latter !! The M & M's keep telling me how good it is, sooooo.......
As for the stuff B gave me..... "Wow !!" - I was really spoilt rotten !! Right - I best think about switching off, for today at least....... except for one thing !! I've had an e-mail.....
....... from a guy who hasn't been in touch with me, for about 20 years !! I don't know exactly how move forward, on this one........ He owes me money, he owes us an apology, for wanting to use our bed, to screw with a girl he had picked up, at work - even tho' he was with his 'Wife' at the time and, it was a week before his daughter was going to be our bridesmaid !! Honestly..... where he's been all these years, I have no idea - I don't think I want to know !! Oh well............... !!
I'll have to think about this one - for now, I'm away. Thank you all, for logging in over the last couple of days, I appreciate your time. Now tho' - I will be on my ways... until next time....

Dream Theater & Status Quo... Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
I hope you're all doing this fine Christmas... I was tempted to say Christmas Eve - but, depending where you live, in the Universe, it might already be Christmas Day with you !! Sooooo - I will just leave it at "I hope you're doing Ok" and move on !!
As I type - B is across the road, having a chin-wag with one of the neighbours...... I don't know, just how long she is going to be, so the music is turned down to deafening & I'm hoping our other neighbours are enjoying it, as much as I am !!
A bit earlier - like 8am - we headed towards town, before all the crowds got going. We only wanted a few things, for tomorrow..... but, we thought we best get an early start !! As it was, things went pretty well..... the supermarket was really quiet, sooooo we must of beat the crazies !! That was brilliant, as far as I was concerned - I hate crowds !!
We were actually home, by 11.30 - so that was a bonus !! It meant B could get on with her bit of cooking - a chocolate log, requested by our Daughter (I think) - not much else really...... it meant everything has been done & dusted, really early !!
Changing the subject - the TV is on - quietly in the corner - and they're showing 'photos of Pluto, which were taking earlier in the year. I thought they were fantastic - so much so, that for a very long time, I had one image on my computer 'desk top'...... it was a brilliant achievement, to go all that ways & get such great images !! As I say.... truly brilliant !!
Going on to the music of the moment.... I'm playing Dream Theater's cover of Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' album. I love the fact, that the band did such a great version of it !! I've written about it before - but the tracks are:
1) Highway Star
2) Child In Time
3) Smoke On The Water
4) The Mule
5) Strange Kind Of Woman
6) Lazy
7) Space Truckin'
It is a straight copy of the Purple album.... well good tho' !! Try & treat yourself to a copy..... I'm not sure where you will find it - but, it's available some place or another !!
When B had finished her cooking, I did the dishes, listening to Status Quo's Birmingham concert, from back in the mid 80's. I don't know the exact date, but it was a special TV thingy, followed by the whole concert (I think) being broadcast, on the radio.
The tracks are:
1) Intro - God Save The Queen
2) Caroline
3) Roll Over, Lay Down
4) Black Water
5) Little Lady
6) Don't Drive My Car
7) Whatever You want
8) Hold You Back
9) Rocking All Over The World
10) Over The Edge
11) Don't Waste My Time
12) Dirty Water
13) Forty-Five Hundred Times
14) Big Fat Mama
15) Roadhouse Blues
16) Rain
17) Down down
18) Bye Bye Johnny
It was for the Prince's Trust charity.... and Charles & Diana were in the crowd, to lend some support - long before they split up & Charles married his second wife... small 'w', on that one !! Moving on....
I have no real plans to do anything, this afternoon...... maybe play a few more albums, or just kick back & watch a bit of TV. I'm not really sure, what I'm going to do..... it's just going to be a quiet & peaceful afternoon - that's going to be the plan, at least !!
Sooooo - I'll wish you all, a very happy Christmas & hope you're going to log in next year & read my words... it's always good to know, that you're out there !! I'm not really sure what 2016 is going to bring.... other than our first Grandchild - that's going to be a very special moment & that's for sure !!
So - have a great Christmas.... I will return, as & when time permits. My thanks to you all.... until next time...
Bye Bye
Bye Bye

Stone The Crows - 'Teenage Licks' Ho-hum....
Hi again World's !!
Is your bit of the Universe as cold as it is here ?! B & I went into town, just a little while ago & it was blooming freezing.... really bone chilling !! Oh well - we're home now & the house is soon to be filled, with the smell of fresh baking !!
My Wife & Dearest Friend, is behind me, in the kitchen, getting various things together, ready for baking. Today's food of choice is going to be mince pies, an apple pie & some home made sausage rolls !! The whole lot will be ready, in just under 2 hours.... MMmmmmmm I can't wait !!
As mentioned, we went into town, mainly to get a few bits of food stuff... the supermarket was teaming with people !! It was really crowded - it made it hard work, just getting around, in my wheelchair, very hard work !!
Nevermind - we got what we needed & came home...... We will have to go into town, tomorrow, at some point - that's not going to be a lot of fun !! I'm guessing it will be wall to wall people, but.... !!
The plan is to leave here, as early as possible - then get into the shops, as early as the Lord permits & then come home. It's not going to be a lot of fun - but there are just a few fresh things, that we are going to need, in order to keep us going over the 4 days of the holiday's.... Friday, thru' to the Monday, when hopefully, things will have quietened down a bit !!
Time will tell, on all of that - it sounds like a plan, if it works that is !! I do love it, when our plans work out.... but, this time around, I think we might find it hard work, getting it all together, with-out forgetting something !! Oh well....
I've mentioned B... ME (our Daughter) 'phoned earlier & their plan is to come over, sometime, on Christmas day.... that will be nice, as we've not seen the M & M's for a little while now. Bless them - they work soooooo very hard, they need to take a chill-ax pill, at some point & just relax !!
As for Christmas - it's only 2 days away !! It's come around so quick this year.... it seems to have caught up on me, just a little bit. I'm glad, with the benefit of hindsight, that I had the last surgery 3 weeks early. If I had gone with the original plan, I would have most likely been struggling to get out of the hospital, in time, to celebrate the holidays !! Nevermind - I'm home now & it's looking good, for the New Year !!
I wrote, yesterday, that we were expecting a visit from one of the lady's from Church.... as it turned out, 3 of them showed up !! To be fair - 2 of them came around, with-out knowing the 3rd one was coming... so, when the original lady came, the 1st 2 left us in peace !!
I was glad of that - I find it hard, when there are lots of people around - so to have 3 of them, in our living room, was a bit too much for me..... As it turned out - we had a nice evening & it was good to have a chat & stuff.
It's put our minds, a little more at ease, about returning to The Church services, on Sundays. How often we will go, well... that's something that will go, the way it goes.... depending on my health & stuff......
Moving away, from The Church - onto the music of the moment !!
As I type, I'm listening to the 'R40 Live' DVD - which I wrote about a few days back.... so, I won't list the tracks again. You can get them, by reading one of my posts, from a day or 2 ago.
But - in the mail, this morning, I received another Allman Brothers album !! This one is called 'Mycology - an Anthology'. As the title suggest, it's a kind of best of. I've got every track, on the Cd - but it didn't cost me anything...... mainly as I bought it, using my bonus points, which I've built up with Play.com. Ok - they're still very slow in delivering things, but... !!
The tracks on the Cd are:
1) Good Clean Fun
2) Seven Turns
3) End Of The Line
4) Get On With Your Life
5) Nobody Knows
6) No One To Run With
7) Back Where It All Begins
8) Sailing 'Cross The Devil's Sea
9) Midnight Rider
10) Every Hungry Woman
It looks like a good selection... and I'll give it a play, sometime later. I'll let you know how it goes. But, there is another album - which I was playing last night, that I wanted to mention..... and that's Stone The Crows 'Teenage Licks' from 1971.
I went up to the Royal Albert Hall, in London, to see Canned Heat & the Crows were the support band - playing the Cd, brought back a load of memories for me !! It's a good album - especially 'One Five Eight'. It's probably my favourite track.... if you get chance go & give it a listen !!
The tracks are:
1) Big Jim Salter
2) Faces
3) Mr. Wizard
4) Don't Think Twice
5) Keep On Rollin'
6) Ailen Mochree
7) One Five Eight
8) I May Be Right I May Be Wrong
9) Seven Lakes
I did have the album, on Lp - but to get it on Cd was quite a bonus for me !! Like I said above - check it out, if you can, it's really good... well, I think so, at least !! I do like my old albums, as long time readers will know !!
Right - I better think about signing off, for today.... things to do - well, not really !! I have to clear off, one of the shelves, sooooo that will take me a few minutes or so. It's in a right mess & I need to sort out the various Cd's that are on it.
Sooooo - I'm away for today.... as always, I thank you all for logging in & for reading my words. If any of you want to comment on what I write (good or bad) I would love to hear from you !! Now tho' - I must away....... until next time....
Bye Bye

Transatlantic & other stuff !!
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you, this fine wet Tuesday ?! It's not very nice, outside, as I type - the rain is pouring down !! Ok - on the upside.... it's warm, but still wet !! Nevermind....... I'm happy inside the homestead, keep myself happy, by typing various e-mails & stuff like that + of course, some loud music, to keep me awake !!
We're still debating, whether to go shopping today, or tomorrow. I think tomorrow is going to win, as we don't really need anything special - well, nothing that won't wait that is !! Time will tell, on that subject, I think... depending on what B thinks we might need !!
Right, I've not written since Saturday.... so, where have I been ? Nowhere, is the only answer I can give you & that's a fact. I don't really like posting on a Sunday, if it can be avoided, anyhoo.... and, as for yesterday...... well.....
.... I wanted to wait, until today !! Main reason for that being was. I had to go back to the hospital (again) yesterday afternoon, to see one of my Consultants. The good news is, she has given me an open appointment !! That means, I don't have to go back to see her, unless things get too bad & I can't put up with it anymore !!
By "it" - I mean my Chrohn's disease and all that goes along with it !! Ok - it's never going to get to the point, where it's gone completely away, but at least, the Consultant was happy enough with my progress, to let me decided what I do next, type of thing !! Great stuff - and a real bit of good news, to end the year on !!
Now all I have to do, is get the pain to go away, every other day & my life might get back to some kind of normal.... well, normal for us at least !! Oh - then there is the back - but since the metalwork was removed, that seems to be going from good to even better.
The last infection level, I had tested, was down to 10 - so that's as normal as it's going to get & that's a fact !! Ok - I've had a 6 - but, what the heck.... life is getting better, as the year is coming to an
end !! It's great to end on a high note & I go into 2016, with-out any planned operations.... brilliant !!
As for the family.... Well B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - is upstairs, changing this, that & the other. Later tonight, we have a lady from The Church coming to see us, sooooo B is getting everything as tidy as she can, for her visit.
B likes to keep the house, as clean as she can - but, when someone is coming around, she goes into overdrive & gets things, just the way she feels they ought to be !! Bless her - if people can't take us, the way we are, that's too bad. It's not a show home - we live here, sooooo people should put up with us, as we are !!
As for the rest of the family - well.... I'm hoping we will see the M & M's over the Christmas - which is only 3 days away !! Wow !! That's come around quick & that's a fact !! Today - according to the news, was the shortest day of the year.... I always thought that was the 21st of the month ?! It's all good.....
Right, the music of the moment.
Well, I've moved from Dream Theater 'live' albums, onto Transatlantic's 'Kaliveoscope' 3 Cd set, from last year. I guess, it was a natural progression, to move from one band, to the next.... Mike Portnoy being, or having been in both bands...... anyhoo, the tracks are:
CD 1
1) Into The Blue
2) My New World
3) Shine
CD 2
1) The Whirlwind Medley
2) Beyond The Sun
3) Kaleidoscope
CD 3
1) Neal & Roine Duet
2) We All Need Some Light
3) Black As The Sky
4) Nights In White Satin
5) Silvia
6) Hocus Pocus
7) Medley: All Of The Above/Stranger In Your Soul
I've written about this album, before... it's well good & you should go out & get yourself a copy, just as soon as you see one on the shelves. Treat yourself.... it's really good !!
Staying with music - I'm still waiting on 3 Cd's from Play.com...... they're always quick to take your cash - but, too slow in my opinion, to deliver the goods.
Ok - I know they're busy at this time of year, but they always seem blooming slow, compared to Amazon. Oh well...... it's only a couple more Allman Brothers albums + the latest Joe Bonamassa live set, from a month or two back. It would be nice to have them, this side of Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath !!
Right, I must be on my ways...... things to do & such like. Actually, I'm going to tidy up the dreaded computer table again !! It always seems to catch up on me & get cluttered before I get around to giving it a once over. Nevermind - I want to sort out the Cd's, so I may as well start with the table !!
Thank's to you all, for logging in & reading my words.... until next time...

More Dream Theater & chocolates ?!
Hi again Everybody....
It's another Saturday - the official end to our week....... I know other customs & beliefs have things differently, but - it's a Saturday. I hope all of you - on which ever World, you happen to be living on - are having a good day !!
Life here is going on & on...... things are moving along - altho' I'm still playing the Game Of Thrones, as far as my health goes !! I could do with-out all of that hassle.... nevermind !!
Two things I wanted to write about today.... one to do with family & one to do with music - first tho' 'The Family' !!
As I type, B is here beside me, in our living/rec room..... heck, it's all we've got, sooooo we have to make the best of it !! Anyhoo - B's put up our 12 inch Christmas tree & a few decorations, around & about the place. The tree is a "live" one - growing in it's own pot & it's grown quite a bit, since last year !! In about 15 years, it'll be really tall..... that should be good...
The thing I wanted to write, concerns our Son - J....... I go thru' life, trying to keep a low profile (well I have this last couple or so years) & I openly admit - I've done some wrong things... hence J hates my guts !!
When I tried to offer him the chance to have his stuff stored, he wrote a few comments, to B via text.... which I would not want to write here, but I've never been a ducking bar steward - sooooo where he got that from, I have no clue. Of course, you have to rearrange the words, but you get my drift ?!
The final straw for me, was when he only wanted to meet up with B.... I did stay away, at his request, but that really was the last straw.
Yet now - he has sent us joint Christmas pressy's..... go figure !! The guy hates me - yet sends me a box of chocolates. I give up - I doubt that I will understand him, ever again.... but, it's been his choice, all the ways thru'...... this could be the last time, that I mention him, sorry about that !!
As for the music thingy....
I'm listening to Dream Theater's 'Live Scenes From New York' 3 Cd set & they played a tune, that I know I have here 'live' on another Cd.... but I can't remember which one it is !! Of course - I didn't think to look what the title was, as it was playing & now I can't even remember what the track was ?! Oh well - that's life, I guess !!
The tracks on the Cd are:
CD 1
1) Regression
2) Overture 1928
3) Strange Deja Vu
4) Through My Words
5) Fatal Tragedy
6) Beyond This Life
7) John & Therese Solo Spot
8) Through Her Eyes
9) Home
10) The Dance Of Eternity
CD 2
1) One Last Time
2) The Spirit Caries On
3) Finally Free
4) Metropolis Pt. 1
5) The Mirror
6) Just Let Me Breath
7) Acid Rain
8) Caught In A New Millennium
9) Another Day
10) Jordan Rudess Keyboard Solo
CD 3
1) A Mind Beside Itself
(I) Erotomania
2) (II) Voices
3) (III) The Silent Man
4) Learning To Live
5) A Change Of Seasons
The tracks numbers on Cd 3 are a bit chaotic - but I've listed them, as they are on the Cd..... all a bit strange really !! It's a long, long collection - but all worth having in the collection !! Go & treat
yourself !!
Also - go & buy yourself the Rush '40 Live' Cd which I mentioned yesterday.... it's well good !! Ok - I'm bias, but it's still good !! Maybe a few tracks from the 'Signals' album... well, a few more tracks would of been good, but... it's still a great bit of music !!
Right - I must away... I have to wrap one of the 2 pressy's I've got B for Christmas !! That will only take a few minutes, after that, I don't know what I'm going to do !! Oh well - thank's for logging in & reading my words..... until next time.....
Bye Bye

10) The Dance Of Eternity

Bye Bye

Rush... 'R40 Live' Ho-hum !!
Well "Greetings" World's !!
How are you all doing this fine Friday afternoon ?! I hope it's warm & dry with you all.... unfortunately, it's cold & wet here in England's South-West corner. We catch the rainfall, as it comes in, off the Atlantic & up thru' the Bristol Channel. We can't really moan - when it's dry & warm here (about one day each year)...... well, it's pretty good !!
B & I went into town. this morning - only to pick up some stuff for the moggies - and one minute, the Sun is out - then, on the return journey, it's over cast & wet !! Not good !!
Nevermind.... we're home for the rest of the day. Tonight there is the Church Christmas get together - but, I don't think either of us are that keen to attend. There will be too many questions asked & too few answers to give. I could say "Why haven't you bothered with helping us, over the last 2+ years"....... but that would be mean of me...... kind of !!
I think we will attend the Christmas Carol service on Sunday, but we will have to wait & see how things go, on the day. Hopefully I will be well enough to go - mainly as B won't go on her own !! We will have to see what happens, I guess..... time will tell !!
Right - back to this morning - I've had 2 trips to the local Dr's surgery. Going once is bad enough - to go twice.... well..... that's life !!
My 1st visit, was to see my local Dr..... I'm struggling with the pain control at the moment & we had a talk to try & sort it all out. Of course - it doesn't help that I did a bit of work, in the spare room this week !! It didn't hurt too much at the time.... but, now.... !! Oh well, that's life - as I've just said !! If all goes to plan, I will get put back on some drugs, that I used to have, in the hospital - but, it will take a few days to sort itself out.
We also talked about a review, that I'm currently under, concerning my general state of health...... It's a government thing - where they try & get as many people as they can, off of the "claiming" type of thing & "back to work".... He said it all - "You're too sick to work" & that's about that !! We will have to see how things go !!
My 2nd visit was to see the nurse, to have my dressings changed again. If all goes well, after the Christmas holiday's, I might be able to have the dressings changed twice a week - down from the 3 times a week, it's at now. That would be good !! I still have a hole in my back - but, it's getting smaller each week.... sooooo, less dressings are needed !!
At the moment, things are healing well & my blood infection levels are down to about the 13 mark, sooooo, every thing is looking really good, going into 2016 !! Hopefully, when our Grand Daughter is born, I will be allowed to hold her, with out the risk of me giving the baby anything nasty !! That's something that will make my day - being able to hold the baby..... time will tell, I guess !!
Yesterday, the ladies of the family, went up to see the relatives.... B's Aunt was really pleased to see them both again..... she loves her adopted Grand Daughter !! Once again - oh well.... !!
Right - 'The Music Of The Moment' !!
I'm glad to say - I'm playing the latest Cd/DVD from Rush - 'R40 Live'. It came out a very short time ago, here in the UK, and it's been well worth the wait, it really has !!

10) Losing It - with Jonathon Dinklage
So far, I'm only up to the beginning of Cd 2.... but, it's all well good !! 'Losing It' was a big surprise.... I've never heard it done 'live' before, as the band - I think - have never played it on stage before (?). As for Cd 3... tracks 4-10 are so called 'bonus' tracks. Hopefully they will be good - to have a decent live version of 'Hemispheres' .... even if it's only a truncated version, that would be good !! I'll let you know, as & when I get around to listening to it.
Oh - I forgot, last night, B took me in to see the Christmas lights in Taunton & to a bit of shopping. The lights were a bit of a let down, but HMV was good & Father Christmas is going to be extra nice to me, this year !!
B picked me up a couple of Allman Brothers Cd's + a DVD collection from 'The Big Bang Theory' guys. All of which have been put to one side, until Christmas Day !! It's Ok - I wasn't expecting to get them - one of them in particular - sooooo waiting will not be much of a problem !! I can wait.... just for a few days, at least !! Ho-hum......
Right - Christmas day is one week away... a week from today !! It's come around quickly this year..... it seems to have caught up with me, all of a sudden !! I guess, being stuck in hospital, for 4 weeks into November.... well, I guess you all know what I mean ?! Christmas comes around fast & that's a fact !!
For now tho' - I will be on my ways... things to do & stuff like that. As always, I thank you for your time & for reading my words.... until next time....
Bye Bye

Dream Theater 'Score' and other stuff... Ho-hum
Greetings World's !!
How are you all doing this fine blurry day ?! It's another Thursday here in England's South-West corner and I'm home alone for a few hours. B & ME have gone to visit her Dad & Aunt + to do a bit of Christmas shopping as well.... sooooo I doubt if I'll see either of them for a few hours at least !!
That means I'm here, listening to music & doing the odd little house hold bits & bobs. I've already done my dishes !! I usually put off doing them, until the last possible moment - but, not today !! I wanted to leave things done & dusted early !!
So far, it's been a quiet kind of day.... I got up about 11am, came down the stairs & got on with things. So - it's now heading towards 12 noon & I can relax for what's left of the day !! It's not much of a plan, but it's all I've got !!
As for the music of the moment - well, that's Dream Theater's 'Score' live 3 Cd set. I'm on a Dream Theater live album kick, at the moment - playing them all, thru' out my days. I've still got a few to go - but.... The 'Score' tracks are:
CD 1
1) The Root Of All Evil
2) I Walk Beside You
3) Another Won
4) Afterlife
5) Under A Glass Moon
6) Innocence Faded
7) Raise The Knife
8) The Spirit Caries On
CD 2
1) Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence
2) Vacant
3) The Answer Lies Within
4) Sacrificed Sons
CD 3
1) Octavarium
2) Metropolis
I've got as far as 'Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence' at the moment.... a really great 'live' track, especially with a full orchestra, backing the band...... it really brings the whole track (40+ minutes) out to it's best. Ok - I've got odd tracks, from the this album, on other live sets - but, this version is a bit special !!
Staying with music - I've worked out, what my New Year's resolution has to be !! I have to try & sort out all of our Cd collection !! Ok - I've tried before - but things are sooooo messed up, at the moment, with Cd's here, there & everywhere - I have to try & put them into some kind of order !!
Coming out of the hospital, this last time - after being away for 4 weeks, I can't find anything !! Sooooo - I really have to put things right & sort them all out. It'll take me months to do - but.... that's my New Year's resolution & that's a fact !!
I wrote above - about this being a blurry day..... I'm struggling to see the computer screen !! It's stupid - but my eye are sooooo messed up this morning, it's dumb !! But - it does mean, that this is going to be a very short post, sorry about that !!
As always - I thank you for logging in & reading my words....... from the USA - right thru' Europe & out the other side !! It's great to know, that you take the time. I must away.... until next time...

Old Man Tree....
Old man tree,
with leaves of green, brown & gold
you were so small, when your face last saw the ground.
Now children play beneath your feet
where as once you played below others.
I wonder, do you still remember the old days ?
How did you survive the huntsman's axe
or all of those fires that killed your kin ?
From old Ents, to new Children Of The Forrest,
your life has seen them all,
too many wars & deaths
and too few peaceful years & births.
Old man tree,
I remember climbing you
when I was small & you seemed so big.
Now, I'm old & can not climb
& you are even taller.
Your children will grow
& my children will have children of their own.
Old Man tree,
I thank you for a memory.
May your bark be ever brown
& your leaves ever green.
Just a bit of fun.... until next time...

Deep Purple & "Hello" Romania.. Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
It's another Tuesday - and we've been into town, to do some shopping & stuff like that. It's bloody cold outside - I was frozen, just going around the supermarket !! Thankfully I managed to get the car warmed up really quickly, so that was a bonus !! I even had a hot drink when I came home - very un-usual for me !! Oh well....
Right - as I type, B (My Wife & Dearest Friend) is sat a few feet to my left, checking out how much Ian Gillan is worth (?!!) I will tell you why in a moment..... As for the rest of the family - ME is coming over later, to have supper with us. M is doing a work party, carting type of thing tonight.... so she is coming to spend some time with us !! As always - it will be great to see her again !!
Oh - before I forget... congrats to Tim Peake, for getting successfully get into space today !! Hopefully I've spelt his name right ?! Just remember Helen Sharman did it first for team GB, a goodly number of years ago !! Hopefully, I've spelt her name right as well.... but, she does seem to have been overlooked in all of the fun & games today !! She was watching the launch tho' - so the BBC did have her on there - darn right too !!
Ok - why Ian Gillan ?!
I ordered a live set, by Deep Purple - yesterday - and it came in the post this morning !! That was quick !! Anyhoo - I'm playing the DVD & B was surprised to see how old the band looked.... there is a good reason for that !! Ian Gillan (or so I'm told) is 70 this year & worth over £200 million. Lets put it this way - at 70 & worth that much, he doesn't need to perform on stage, for the cash, at least !!
As people know - if you've read my words before, I like listening to music, not so much watching a band play it, on a DVD or whatever....... with the possible of Lynyrd Skynyrd & Molly Hatchet... but, I put the DVD in & we're (kind of) listening/watching that, as I type. It's all good - lots of oldies & goodies, to keep me happy....
The Tracks are:
1) Highway Star
2) Into The Fire
3) Hard Loving Man
4) Vincent Price
5) Strange Kind Of Woman
6) Contact Lost
7) The Well Dressed Guitar
8) Hell To Pay
9) Lazy
10) Above & Beyond
11) No One Came
12) Don Airy's Keyboard Solo
13) Perfect Strangers
14) Spacetruckin'
15) Smoke On The Water
16) Green Onions/Hush
17) Black Night
Uli Jon Roth joins the band for 'Smoke On The Water' - as yet, I've not got that far.... should be good, a great guitarist, if ever there was one !! I can't believe it came so quick.... well down Mr Postman !!
I forgot - the Cd/DVD is called 'From The Setting Sun' and was recorded at Wacken in 2013 - now there's a place I would like to go to one day.... he says half joking !! Maybe one day - unlikely tho'....
Right - I must away.... things to do & stuff like that. We've sorted out 3 more boxes of stuff, from the spare room... and there are several more to go !! It's a shame J said to get rid of it - oh well.... it's his stuff & his choice. We could of stored it for him - but he decided otherwise... nevermind.....
I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... I hope you're all doing Ok & a big "Hello" to my Romanian reader - it's great to know you logged in & read my words.... until next time...

"one last thought....." Ho-hum...
Greeting's !!
It's another Monday & it's not the best of days.... weather-wise. We went into town, a little earlier & it was a little mizzly. That's a cross between drizzling & muggy. Mind you - I stayed in the car - we only had to go into the bank, sooooo B did the honours !!
Anyhoo - we're both home now. Neither of us had a very good night, both feeling poorly, so we're having a quiet couple of hours. We plan on doing the grocery shop tomorrow, sometime. Not 100% sure exactly when - I guess that will depend on how well we feel in the morning !!
B is keep ing herself going, by doing a bit of housework.... me, I'm just sat here, at the computer & listening to music. More of that later. First - B's fortune at the craft fair !!
All seems to have gone well.... and she sold a goodly part of her stock...... so all of the long hours, making stuff, seems to have paid off - depending how you cost things out !!
As she was doing it all, mostly for the fun of doing it, well - she came home with quite a profit. If you take into account, the time she took to make things.... well, we won't go there !!
In the end... she was happy & there will be more cash, for another trip to the material shop, that we found a few weeks back + any other place she wants to go & buy some new stuff. It'll be down to where she wants to go really !! She did well..... and that's a fact !!
At the end of the day, ME joined her - at the hall - that was a little surprise !! She came here first & then went to the hall, when I explained where B was. It was a little company..... plus a bit of good luck.... to explain !!
Not only did B win the envelope prize - she (or ME - not sure which) won the raffle as well !! B would admit - she never wins anything, sooooo to win 2 prizes in one afternoon is really good !! Bless her - I'm glad she had a good time & sold some stuff !!
Yesterday, was a bit of a catch-up day...... some rest & a bit of a tidy up, after the madness that proceeded the craft fair. We did consider going to Church.... but, to be blunt, Saturday night was not the best one I've ever had, sooooo !! I was glad just to chillaxe at home, for a few hours.
Add Saturday night, to last night & things can only get better. Another night playing the Game Of Thrones will send me doo-alley !! I would just like a night, where I get a full 8 hours sleep, that would be nice !! Oh well.... life goes on & on....
Changing the subject... the NFH is still being a pain - but has given us something to smile/laugh about today. She has made complaint, after complaint, about how people drive in our little Close... yet....
On one occasion, she has driven into a parked car.... which we had a good smile about..... but, last night, despite all of her moaning, she made our day (night/day ?)..... She forgot, to put her parking brake on & her car crashed into her brand new garage door !! Not only did the door need to be fixed, but she has put a lovely dent in her posh car !!
I'm the first to say, I'm no Saint - but she has made me smile & that's a fact !! She should remember the old "let him throw stones" thingy.... it all comes back to bite you in the end !!
Right - 'The Music Of The Moment'...... I seem to have taken to giving it it's own title section - "why not ?" !! Why not indeed !!
It's an tape of mine - which I recorded years ago & simply goes by the name of 'Music tape 6'. As you can guess - there were 5 before it - only one of which survives (I think) to this day !! Anyhoo - the tracks are:
Side A
1) Fanfare For The Common Man - ELP
2) Tie Your Mother Down - Queen
3) Heart Of The Sunrise - Yes
4) Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
5) Burn - Deep Purple
6) You Keep On Moving - Deep Purple
7) Come & Go Blues - Allman Brothers Band
8) Wild Dogs - Tommy Bolin
Side B
1) Southern Man - Neil Young
2) C'est Vie - ELP
3) '39 Queen
4) Long Distance Runaround - Yes
5) I Know What I Like - Genesis
6) Brighton Rock - Queen
7) Can't Loose What You Never Had - Allman Brothers Band
8) Sweet Dream - Jethro Tull
9) Soldier Of Fortune - Deep Purple
10) Still You Turn Me On - ELP
I've put the above onto Cd & it came out really well... better than I expected really !! Heck - I've written about this before, but it was just an old tape, that I did for playing in the car - to put it onto Cd was just a bit of indulgence on my part.... fun tho' !!
Something else, that was a bit of an indulgence, was the following......
The battle rages on,
at the very threshold of my life,
I know that these few final hours,
have been dearly purchased.
Yet my resolve has not waned.
I can not hope to save myself,
but I can hope, that one last insight,
one last thought, before I die,
may prevent this happening to another.
Every time, that I have to have a big surgery - or a small one, for that matter - I write a few lines, for B to find...... these were the lines I wrote last time. Ok - a bit of an indulgence on my part, but.... !! I wrote them down, on the day of my surgery, at 5 minutes past midnight - it's all good !!
Right - I better be on my ways... episodes of 'Farscape' to watch & time to listen to some more music !! As always, I thank you all for logging in & reading my words.... what are you all listening to, as you read, I wonder ?! Let me know, I would be very interested to know !!
Best go - my thanks to my reader in Russia.... I'm glad to know you're logging in - what are you listening to ? Let me know - maybe we share the same taste in music.... until next time...
Bye Bye

More Dream Theater... Ho-hum
Hello again World's !!
It's a warm, but wet Saturday, here in England's South-West...... I'm staying in the house, for as long as I can - it looks too nasty outside for my liking !! Nevermind - the music is loud & warm.... ho-hum !!
A big "Hello" to my Russian reader.... you've read a few of my words, over the last week, sooooo, I hope you have found them interesting ?! As I used to write - one day, I will write something worth reading !! Oh well..... it's good to know you're out there !!
AS I type, I'm home alone..... B has, or is, doing another craft fair. This time, it's here in the village. If I look out of the bedroom window, I could probably see the roof of the village hall, where it's being held. This is her 2nd fair, so hopefully she is having a good time. Heck - hopefully they're having some customers !! It would be very boring - to sit there all afternoon & have nobody show up !!
As for the rest of the family... well, we saw ME a few days ago - when we went to the house & dropped off some cash (B had bought some stuff & wanted to pay our Daughter as soon as she could) & I'm not really sure when we see the munchkin again. I guess it will depend on her work & when they have some time to themselves.
I do have Star Trek model for M... nothing special, but I must remember to give it to them, when they are next around. Bless them - I really love those guys !!
As for J - our Son... well, I've heard nothing from him, in quite a few months, sooooo I have nothing to report there !! I'll just work on the knowledge, that he still hates my guts & have done with it. One thing is for sure - he ain't going to be coming here for Christmas...... that boat sank, just after the bridge was burnt !! Oh well..... life is good !!
It's 3pm & I'm completely knackered.... it feels like I could sleep for a week !! As I wrote, while I was in the hospital - "half the World is asleep - unfortunately, we're not in that half" !! Nevermind.... I'll try & catch up tonight..... that would be good. There is nothing so bad, as waking up knackered....
I wrote a lot of stuff down, while I was in the hospital..... like "there are 2 of you - 1 that kills & 1 that loves".... that came out of listening to the 'Apocalypse Now' movie s/t !! Heck - it gets boring in the hospital - sooooo listening to the complete 'AN' soundtrack helped pass a few hours away !!
As did listening to the complete BBC versions of 'The Hobbit' & 'The Lord Of The Rings' radio plat type things. It's quite amazing how well, those versions are done !! All the acting & dialogue, really brings the story into your imagination....... makes it feel almost real !!
I did enjoy listening to 'Rendezvous With Rama' - the old Issac Asimov story, which the BBC also did as a type of radio play. That was really interesting, as I was completely knackered & wanted something to "fall asleep" to. However - it was sooooo good, I listened to the whole 2 hours of the thing & was more awake, at the end, than I was at the beginning !! It gave me my 2nd wind, so to speak !!
Going back nearly 30 years - when I was much younger - if I couldn't sleep, I would put the headphones on, turned down to just below deafening & blast a whole bundle of stuff, into my head !! One night, I played 5 or 6 Bruce Springsteen albums, end to end & then went out for a coffee, to where a friend worked......
Now a days - I do not drink coffee, nor is my friend, a friend anymore......... He lost that title, when he knocked at the door, about 7am and asked to use a bed, as he had picked up a girl, the previous night. When I said no - mainly as the guy had a "Wife" at home - he got really pissed with me.... moaning about being let down by a friend etc etc !! Oh well.... he's no longer a friend & he still owes me cash, nevermind.... life goes on !!
Right - "The Music Of The Moment" !!
As I've typed, I've been listening to Dream Theater's 'Live At Budokan' 3 Cd set.... I'm on the last Cd at the moment & I've enjoyed playing it all the ways thru'. It was one of the earliest DT live albums I ever had - still a good one tho' !! The tracks are:
CD 1
1) As I Am
2) The Dying Soul
3) Beyond This Life
4) Hollow Years
5) War Inside My Head
6) The Test That Stumped Them All
CD 2
1) Endless Sacrifice
2) Instrumedley
3) Trial Of Tears
4) New Millennium
5) Keyboard Solo
6) Only A Matter Of Time
CD 3
1) Goodnight Kiss
2) Solitary Shell
3) Stream Of Consciousness
4) Disappear
5) Pull Me Under
6) In The Name Of God
Most of this stuff - the tracks - are from the 'Train Of Thought' Cd.... the first album I ever bought by the band. It's the one I bought in Cornwall - which I kind of wrote about a couple of days ago - along with 'The Datsuns' Cd.
It's a great album & served me really well, as an introduction to the band's live out-put !! It was released in 2004.... over 10 years ago..... 2 things from that. (1) I didn't realise it was that old & (2) It's been that long since we had a proper holiday !! Must do something about that..... maybe soon !!
Right... I must sign off for today. ME has arrived, so I need to put the kettle on for my Daughter. I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... wherever you all live, I hope the World is treating you well.... until next time....
Bye Bye

Status Quo & other love songs.....
Well "Hi" again World's !!
It's another Friday, here in England.... I guess, it could already be Saturday with you - depending where you live !! Oh well... whenever you read my words, I hope you're all having a good day !!
We're both here today... B is upstairs doing some crafty type of stuff, in preparation for another "craft fair" - which is happening tomorrow, here in the village. I don't know much about it really. I know B is working like crazy, to get things ready & I know it's here in the village...... beyond that, I know nothing about it !!
I'm not sure how many things, she has ready to sell..... but, it seems to be quite a lot !! Bless her heart, she really does enjoy doing stuff with her hands. I would say, that she enjoys doing craft stuff, almost as much as I enjoy listening to music !! Ok - there is no comparison, between the 2.... but.... you might get the idea !!
As it's a Friday.... I've just had my 3rd trip of the week, to the local Dr's surgery, to have my dressings changed - you might have heard the screams, from where you live !! I know it's 3 times a week - but, I don't think I will ever get used to having the sticky stuff, taken off my back !! A very annoying pain, to put it mildly !!
Anyhoo - that was about 30 minutes ago & now I'm home, listening to an old Gov't Mule tape..... It's from one of the 'Mountain Jam' concerts (not sure which one) and the guys have just gone thru' '1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be)' straight in Zeppelin's 'No Quarter' - all of which took about the best part of the time, that we've been home !! Not too bad at all !!
Going back to yesterday.... I mentioned I was home alone - while B went out for lunch. Well, when she came home, she brought with her 'The Definitive Hits'...... Status Quo's new-ish 3 Cd set !! I had seen it, in the supermarket, a day or 2 back, sooooo B bought it for me, bless her !!
I'm not going to list the tracks - mainly as there are 54 of them !! But the whole set starts with 1968's 'Picture Of Matchstick Men' right thru' (what, I'm guessing) are all of their singles & better album tracks - finishing with 2014's acoustic version of the starting track !!
It's a great collection of stuff & I'm going to enjoy listening to it, either on the Mini Egg - or thru' the Bose, here in the house !! Life is good & that's a fact !!
Right - I better be on my ways.... I really am going to have to make a start on clearing off my computer desk !! I'm fast running out of space on the thing.... such is life, especially when I don't clear things away, as & when I use them !!
Sooooo - with Status Quo blasting out of the speakers, I will sign off, for today. I might write again over the weekend, I'm not really sure - time will tell, so....... until next time...
Bye Bye

'Snakes & Arrows' & other stuff....
Greetings World's !!
I'm sat here with the curtains to our back door open.... and boy o' boy, is there ever a draft coming thru' the & into the homestead !! So - I hear you ask, "Why not shut the curtains ?" - well.... I'm glad you asked !!
In the next couple of hours, I've got a man coming to fix some new draft excluding stuff & I've got everything ready for his visit. Ok - I know I could close the curtains, until he gets here..... but, to be honest, I can't be bothered - after all, it's only a bit of cold air & I've not got the heating on, or anything like that, sooooo.....
Anyhoo - I'm home alone, for a couple of hours. B has gone into town, to attend her Carers Group Christmas Lunch !! I think it starts about 12 noon... so, she will be there in plenty of time. Hopefully, they're all have a good time !!

She left about 15 minutes ago.... so, on the ways, she is going to put some fuel into the old car & get a few things that - as usual - we forgot yesterday !! It wouldn't be the same, if we got everything, in one go - when we go shopping !! Nevermind......
I've just come off the 'phone, with my friend in Bristol - a great guy, who I first me at one of the record fairs I went to, many Moons ago !! It's great to catch up !!
Right - the music of the moment.... that's by Rush & it's the 'Iron Angels' bootleg. The tracks are....

Right, I must be on my ways.... for some reason, I'm very tired this morning !! Mind you - I woke up really early this morning, sooooo that's probably why !! As hard as I tried, I couldn't get back to sleep.... life is good, all the same !!
So, with the man on his ways, to do the draft excluding, I will close this down... I'm sorry it's kind of short, but - as always - I thank you for logging in & reading my words.... until next time...
Bye Bye

Supermarket callers !!
Hi again everybody.....
It's a cold but dry Wednesday, here in England's South-West corner...... it's actually 'brass monkey' weather & you may want to look up the meaning of that term !! Lets just say, it's blooming cold & have done with it !!
Looking out of the front window, I can see the sea & the beach.... not that I'm going anywhere near the place !! But - I can also see the primary school, just a few hundred yards away & the little ones are outside, having some sort of lesson - they must be bloody freezing !! They're jumping up & down, on the spot.... so, either they've been very naughty, or it's a PE lesson of some sort....... it still seems cruel to have them out in the cold tho' !!
Anyways - 'The Family'
As I type, I'm home alone...... B was here a second or two ago - but, she seems to have gone over to a neighbour's house. The last time I saw here, I was on the 'phone & she had a Christmas card in her hand, sooooo I'm guessing she has gone to deliver that, not really sure !!
Actually, she has just come back - I was right, she was over a neighbour's house, taking over a Christmas card.... I wish she had said - I would of known where she was !! Oh well... life is good !!
This morning, we paid a quick visit to the M & M's house.... ME was home. She showed me the baby's room - it's looks really good !! Congratulations guys, you've worked really hard to get that all ready for the big day - even if it is 2 months away, give or take a freckle !! Bless all 3 of you !!
We were in town, to pay some bills & buy a top up of food & stuff... you know, the usual kind of grocery shop !! It came to just shy of £100 - but, what the heck, we have to eat & stuff.... well, from time to time at least !!
I was very good tho' - I avoided buying any Cd's... well, just a spindle of blanks, to use on the computer. I was tempted to pick up a 3 Cd set by Status Quo - which seems to have nearly all of their singles on it. I might buy it, at a later date.... not today tho' - I had too many bills to pay !! I'm pleased to say - apart from any that have just come in - I am now payed up on everything !! That's a very rare moment !! Oh well....
Staying with music - I'm listening to Blue Floyd's 'Live At Birch Hill' 3 Cd set.... I've listed the tracks before, sooooo I'll skip them today. But - I've been playing The Who's 'Join Together' 2 Cd set !! I seemed have their stuff ready to play, on the Mini Egg & it all went from there really.
For those who don't know, it's a live set - from back in either the early 90's - or maybe a bit later..... I can't really remember !! Cd 1 is a complete run thru' of 'Tommy'.... so I'm going to assume that most of you know all of those tracks & go right to Cd 2 !! Those tracks are:
1) Eminence Front
2) Face To face
3) Dig
4) I Can See For Miles
5) A Little Is Enough
6) 5:15
7) Love Reign Over Me
8) Trick Of The Light
9) Rough Boys
10) Join Together
11) You Better, You Bet
12) Behind Blue Eyes
13) Won't Get Fooled Again
It's a really good live set - mainly as it covers sooooo many different tracks !! Most of The Who's live sets follow the same pattern - this one is a bit different.... well, I think so, at least !!
We also went to the library, to check out their Cd sale..... I came home with another copy of 'Lulu' by Lou Reed & Metallica + 'Are You Experienced' by Jimi Hendrix. They were only 50p each, sooooo !!
Right - why the above title..... simple really. Today, in the supermarket, the number of times I had to ask people to let me thru' - because they were on their mobiles was stupid !! Please remember folks.... there are wheelchair users out there, who need a bit of space to get around the various rows of shelving.
That's made almost impossible, if you are stood there, on the 'phone, talking to the Lord knows who, about something or nothing !! Come on folks - how often do you need to call someone ?! Just because you have a mobile, you don't have to use it constantly !! It's no joke - when I'm stuck behind you & all you're doing is gossiping about something & nothing.... it could wait, just get out of the bloody way !!
Ok - that's my moan of the day... now I must be off & close this post down. Blue Floyd are just coming to an end.... so, it's about the right time to stop !! I've got nothing to do - just watch TV & chillaxe - but, it sounds good to me !!
Sooooo - as always, I thank you for your time, for logging in & reading my words. As always - if you want to leave a comment, please do - good or bad, I won't be offended - I'm too old & ugly for that..... until next time...

A quiet day & loud music... ho-um
Greetings Again World's !!
It's another week & a Tuesday to be precise - I'm sorry I've not written before.... I've not been firing on all cylinders & have spent a great deal of the last few days in bed. Bit of a bummer really - but I feel a bit better today, sooooo I'm putting fingers to keyboard !!
As I type, I'm home alone.... My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - has gone into town, to meet up with a friend. I'm not 100% sure when she will be home..... so the music is turned down to deafening & I'm just kicking back & enjoying it all !!
I did go into town, yesterday..... to put some cash in the bank & to pick up some groceries, with B. But - soon as I got home, I headed to bed & that's where I stayed for the rest of the day !! ME came over, in the afternoon - so I did spend a bit of time with her, but - that was about it really !! A very quiet day !!
I don't even remember what we did on the weekend !! It has been a very quiet few days - it really has !! Very boring really.... sounds like a average day in my life really !!
As for the music of the moment...
Well - I've been playing the Cd by The Datsuns.. simply called 'The Datsuns'. I wanted to play something a bit different this morning.... away from my usual stuff. The tracks are:
1) Sitting Pretty
2) MF From Hell
3) Lady
4) Harmonic Generator
5) What Would I Know
6) At Your Touch
7) F'ing For The Man
8) In Love
9) You Build Me Up (To Bring Me Down)
10) Freeze Sucker
I bought this Cd, way back in 2004 - on a trip to Penzance, in Cornwall. We went on a 2 week holiday & there used to be this really good Cd shop there....... I spent a lot of time in that place !!
The daft part was - I only bought it, to make up the numbers, so to speak. I had just seen Dream Theater, on the Queensryche DVD & I wanted to buy something by them.... I actually picked up an album by them (can't remember which one) and this Datsuns' album was part of a special offer. You know - by 2 for £10 type of thing.... sooooo I picked it up at the same time !!
I don't play it to often.... more so on the Mini Egg, when I'm stuck in hospital. Oh well..... a bit of good music all the same !!
I better be on my ways now..... I'm still feeling like crap & I need to just sit back & chill out for a couple of hours. I've been watching all of the 'Farscape' DVD's - so.... I'll sit down & watch a few more of them. I'm up to Season 3.... only a few more DVD's to watch & then I'll have to find something else to occupy my little brain !!
So - I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... from all over the World !! It's pretty far out, to know so many of you take the time to log in..... until next time...

Memories are made of this..... Ho-hum...
Greetings again World's !!
I didn't think about writing again today - but, I've just been playing a Cd, that has taken me right back to a Sunny day, in July 1974...... when I was at the first ever GB performance of the Allman Brothers band !!
The show was at Knebworth & I had driven up with 2 friends of mine, in a really battered old Riley Elf. The car had more holes in it, than a kitchen colander.... but, it eventually got us to where we wanted to go.
It might sound strange - but, apart from the Doobie Brothers, I can't remember who else was playing that day !! There were several bands on the bill - but, for the life of me, I can't think who they all were !! Nevermind - we only went because the Allman's were topping off the day & that's what mattered to me...
It was a great, warm day - I don't think it rained...... just warm Sunshine & great music...... even if things ran a little late & the band didn't get on until quite late. No matter..... I eventually managed to get a bootleg of the show & it's that Cd I'm playing as I type !!
The tracks are:
CD 1
1) Introduction
2) Wasted Words
3) Done Somebody Wrong
4) One Way Out
5) Stormy Monday
6) Midnight Rider
7) Blue Sky
8) In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed
CD 2
1) Statesboro' Blues
2) Come & Go Blues
3) Ramblin' Man
4) Trouble No More
5) Jessica
6) You Don't Love Me
CD 3
1) Les Brers In A Minor
2) Whipping Post
As usual - I'm not suggesting you go & buy a bootleg of this show - or any show, for that matter.... but, until there is an official release of this concert - I'll have to make do with what I've got !!
Just don't pay for bootlegs - they're not worth it..... Check out the 'Hittin' The Note' web site, for loads of live albums, from the band..... a great selection & worth your while to spend your time & cash !!
Just as a footnote, to the above.... on the way home, I missed my turning & the 3 of us landed up in central London, completely lost, at about 4am !! We did get ourselves out of it tho' - finding the M4 & having a long ride home !! It was a great day...... this Cd has certainly brought back the memories !!
I must go - thank you for reading my words.... until next time....

'Live At Luna Park' & other stuff...
Hello again World's !!
It's a Friday, here in England... it's kind of wet outside - not very nice at all really !! We have just come back, from a quick trip to the supermarket & it was really nasty, with the cold & drizzle, nevermind...
I had great plans, to write yesterday, but... the plans of mice & men etc etc !! I spent most of the day in bed, feeling really poorly. For some reason, I played the Game Of Thrones, in the bathroom in the wee hours, so I put myself back to bed & stayed there for a goodly number of hours. I'm not sure what it was that caused all of the problems - probably something I ate...... hope so anyways !!
More of that subject - kind off - later.... first 'My Family' !!
As I type, B is behind me, in the kitchen, making some cakes.... the house is full of the smells of fresh baking !! I think she is making some small cakes today - they last longer, than a big thingy..... plus, I've just been told there are going to be a bunch of shortbread cakes as well !! Great stuff !!
Yesterday, B took 2 of the ladies from the village, into Taunton to do some Christmas shopping. Being completely selfish, I would of preferred her to have stayed at home - but, the plans had been made, while I was stuck in hospital, sooooo they were kind of hard to cancel. My being poorly, would of meant putting the ladies off & that had already been done, last week, when i came home. Oh well.....
As for the rest of the family...
Well, I think the M & M's are coming this ways tomorrow...... not 100% sure about that. I have a little something for them, but that can wait until I see them - if they don't make it over the weekend..... it'll keep !!
I understand that our Son sent B a text in the week - about Christmas gifts. He can send B all he likes, as for me... well, I can't imagine, given how much he hates my guts, that I can expect anything. To be honest - I don't want anything from him anymore.... that "bridge has been burnt" to quote one of his e-mails to me !! Oh well.... life goes on.......
Going back to the above.... I hoped it was "something I ate", that was making me feel poorly yesterday. To explain....
My back seems to be playing up again !! On Monday, I had a blood test & that has shown my infection levels have gone from 6, all the ways up to 45 !! Not good !! Add to that, the actual back wound is starting to go a bit funny & the 2 things together might be part of the reason I was feeling sick yesterday. I hope not.... but, if Monday's blood test - next week - shows it has got worse, well.... I guess I'll have to contact the Consultant again & see what he says !!
Time will tell, on that, I guess - but.... I'm keeping all of my fingers crossed, to make sure things don't go South again !! I'm taking all of the medications, sooooo - in theory - things should sort themselves out. I'll have to wait & see...... !!
Enough of all of that... onto the music of the moment !!
I'm listening to the Nightwish album....'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' as I type...... for me, their best album to date (I'm bias) - especially the last track 'The Greatest Show On Earth'. Brilliant !!
A bit before that, I was playing Dream Theater's 'Live At Luna Park'. I have sooooo many 'live' albums by the band.... going back over the years, all official I must point out, that I rarely play the 'Luna Park' set. Today tho' - I thought I would give it a blast thru' !! It's really good - tho' the drum solo is a bit of an oddity..... just being on it's own, oh well.
The tracks are:
CD 1
1) Bridges In The Sky
2) 6:00
3) The Dark Eternal Night
4) This Is The Life
5) The Root Of All Evil
6) Lost Not Forgotten
7) Drum Solo
8) A Fortune In Lies
9) The Silent Man
10) Beneath The Surface
CD 2
1) Outcry
2) Piano Solo
3) Surrounded
4) On The Backs Of Angels
5) War Inside My Head
6) The Test That Stumped Them All
7) Guitar Solo
8) The Spirit Carries On
9) Breaking All Illusions
10) Metropolis Pt. 1
CD 3
1) These Walls
2) Build Me Up, Break Me Down
3) Caught In A Web
4) Wait For Sleep
5) Far From Heaven
6) Pull Me Under
CD 3 is made up of the DVD bonus tracks.... all good listening tho' !! They're such a great band.... all of them, really great - check out any of their stuff, you will not be let down !!
Right, I best think about closing this off, for now...... I've got to the point where I need my afternoon sleep - only joking, but I will chill out for a couple of hours, just to regenerate my old bones !! Sooooo - I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... from the USA - thru' the UK & over to the Ukraine & beyond.... thank you all.... until next time.....
Bye Bye

4) On The Backs Of Angels
5) War Inside My Head
6) The Test That Stumped Them All

8) The Spirit Carries On
9) Breaking All Illusions
10) Metropolis Pt. 1
CD 3
1) These Walls
2) Build Me Up, Break Me Down
3) Caught In A Web
4) Wait For Sleep
5) Far From Heaven
6) Pull Me Under
CD 3 is made up of the DVD bonus tracks.... all good listening tho' !! They're such a great band.... all of them, really great - check out any of their stuff, you will not be let down !!
Right, I best think about closing this off, for now...... I've got to the point where I need my afternoon sleep - only joking, but I will chill out for a couple of hours, just to regenerate my old bones !! Sooooo - I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... from the USA - thru' the UK & over to the Ukraine & beyond.... thank you all.... until next time.....

'Smoke & Mirrors'...Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
Is your section of the Universe treating you well, this fine Tuesday ? I greet all of you - in which ever quadrant of this fine Galaxy you happen to be living in !! It's quite warm here in England... well, this South-West corner, that we call home.
I'm here on my own, as I type...... well, apart from one of the cats - the aged Smudge. He's laying under the table at the moment. Every now & again, he pops his head out - maybe in the hope of getting some cat treats, or maybe even some extra food...... he's not getting either, sooooo he's well out of luck !! B has fed all of them, a little earlier...... that's enough for now !!
Talking of B... the ladies of the family have gone shopping, in Taunton. So look out, they're on their ways to you !! I know how much B hates shopping - and I know how much our Daughter loves shopping - sooooo, between them, they make a great pair !!
I was offered the chance, to go with them.... but, to be honest, I'm feeling the worse for wear today & need to sit here, to rest up a bit. Heck - I know the surgeon said it would take a while to get over the surgery - but... it's been 5 weeks now, I would of thought I would be well on the way to recovery !!
Nevermind..... everything went better than I expected, so things are not all bad !! I even surprised the physio's !! To explain....
The day of the surgery - well... about 6 hours after it..... I got myself out of bed & went to the bathroom & boy o' boy, did I get into trouble over that !! Having had spinal surgery, I guess they thought I should piss in a bottle or something !! Anyhoo - I felt the need & I felt strong enough, sooooo I took a few steps to the loo.....
The following day, the physio's came over to see me & bollock me for "rushing things"........ But, as I explained to them, I felt strong enough & wanted to have a pee - so, I went walkies !! Long story made short...
...... they asked if I could walk a bit, to show them. Sooooo - not only did I go for about a 75 yd walk, but I climbed a flight of stairs, using my sticks, left foot, right foot, in turn. That was enough for them..... from that moment on, they left me alone.... for the rest of my 4 week stay !! Great stuff !!
That's how things went really..... I felt really strong after the surgery. I thought I might be stuck in bed for a week, getting over it all..... but, nope - things went really well !! Not only that - but, the specialist nurses were really happy & surprised at my progress..... so I guess I was pleased about that..... it's nice to surprise people, even those who thought I would be a "human jellyfish" !! Oh well.....
As the ladies are out - I've got the music down to deafening & Iced Earth are blasting their 'Metal Camp, Slovenia' DVD out thru' the Bose....... I don't play these concerts - from the 'Festivals Of The Wicked' box set enough !! They are really great.... brilliant bits of music !!
The tracks are:
1) Dark Saga
2) Vengeance Is Mine
3) Burning Times
4) Declaration Day
5) Violate
6) Pure Evil
7) Watching Over Me
8) Ten Thousand Strong
9) Dracula
10) The Coming Curse
11) I Died For You
12) Travel In Stygian
13) A Question Of Heaven
14) Melancholy (Holy Martyr)
15) My Own Savior
16) Iced Earth
At this very moment 'A Question Of Heaven' is blasting out... well good !! I bought this box set, back in 2011 - while in Birmingham, for the Gregg Allman concert. Not only did we see one of my all time favourite singer/songwriters - but, I came home with a bundle of goodies as well !! Check out Iced Earth.... really good !!
Right - my plans for today......
Well, I've been given a copy of Imagine Dragons' album 'Smoke & Mirrors' so I want to listen to that. There are 21 tracks on the 2 Cd set.... so that will keep me busy for a while !! The tracks are:

Apart from that - I will just sit around & rest my old bones a bit !! Ain't life just great ?! For now tho' I must away.... thank you for logging in & reading my words...... until next time...

"It doesn't have any jambags".... Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you this fine day ?! It's a Thursday, here in England & I'm home alone - for a few hours at least. B - My Wife & Dearest Friend - has gone for a drive...
Tomorrow marks the 10th anniversary of her Mum's death & B has gone to the Churchyard, to lay some flowers on the grave & to visit her Aunt & Dad (I guess)..... she should be home in a few hours - I'm not sure just how many, but when she gets here, that's when I'll see her again !!
I would of tried to have gone for the ride.... but, we both agreed, a journey in the car, over such a distance, well - it probably wouldn't of been too much. I'm still putting up with various pains, in my back....... where the wound is still healing, from my most recent surgery & I think sitting in the car wouldn't of been too good an idea !!
Plus - for some reason, I'm struggling with my various pills & potions this morning.... having played "The Game of Thrones" this morning !! Oh well - I'll take my lunchtime pills, in a couple of hours & try to keep them down.... time will tell on that subject !!
Sooooo - B is out.... as for the rest of the family........ I think ME is coming over, tomorrow - as M is going out for most of the day - so I'll see her then. I'm not privy to our Son's doings, so I can't tell you anything about him. Just assume he still hates my guts & I'll leave it at that !!
As soon as my back heals a bit more - I'll get into the spare room & throw' more of his old stuff away. I really want to get on with that little job - at the moment, things are in a state of limbo up there & I need to crack on with it !! Oh well.....
I'll need to get some more boxes, at some point..... it's amazing how many we've used so far - with the stuff in the loft & all the other junk, that I've put up there !! This week, alone, I've had 5 more models arrive...... all of which need to be boxed & put away !! The loft has never been so tidy !! Ho-hum....
While I'm typing these words, I watching/listening to the extended version of 'The Battle Of The Five Armies' on Blue-ray......... it's well good !! In time, I will transfer it over to Cd - to go along with 'The Lord Of The Rings' Cd's that I did some years ago.
While I was in hospital - I listened to, not only the Cd's of the 'LOTR's' movies - but also the complete BBC version of the same story. There are obviously some major differences in the 2, but, I spent a bit of time, just laying on the bed & chilling out..... great stuff !!
One thing, that I did find funny.... I also listened to the BBC version, of 'The Hobbit' - and on that, or in that (?) the people of Lake Town spoke with Welsh accents, just like Bard in the movie version of the book !! That was a good bit - did Peter Jackson get that off the BBC ?! I wonder....
Of course - not everything that happened in the last 4 weeks was funny. There were the horrible events that happened in Paris & Mali...... if anyone involved, is reading my words, well.... you are in my thoughts.
I did think that the Mother of Ibrahim Abdeslam - one of the suicide bombers - was being really naive, when she said "Ibrahim did not mean to kill anyone" and that he had probably "blown himself up, because of stress or because his suicide jacket went off by accident".
How fu++king stupid is that !! You don't put a bomb around your body, if you don't intend on using it.... dumb bitch !! That's going to get me some hate mail & that's for sure !! Never mind..... 130 or so people died in Paris.... isis (small letters) are a bunch of bastards & need to be sorted out - one way or another.
I was really pleased that Mohammed Emwazi was killed.... to quote a man on TV.... he was "vaporized" in a drone attack !! "Jihadi John" is no more..... thank the heavens above - he will not kill anyone else !!
I was also in hospital, when the news of Jonah Lomu came thru' - I hope I've spelt his name right - and his death on November 18th. He was 40 years old & one of the true giants in rugby !! Bless him... he was also a Latter Day Saint !!
...... Talking of "giants".....
One night, a guy came into the hospital and he was really big..... !! He was 6' 8" tall & built like a brick out house, to go with it !! A really nice guy, a "gentle giant" if there ever was one... we helped him out a bit.....
He was over here, from America & couldn't contact his American girlfriend. Sooooo - to help him, B 'phoned the ladies office, in New York (from home) and left a message for her, so that she could call her boyfriend in the hospital.
It all worked out really well.... once she got the message, she was on the 'phone right away !! Never let it be said, that a Latter-Day Saint family will not help those he need it !! I was really glad to help out..... he needed it !!
Lots of other things happened, over the last month..... but, those are for another day...... I'll go on about those another time, probably !! As for the music of the moment....
Well, I'm still watching 'The Battle etc etc' on the TV..... but, after it, I want to play 'Live At The Fillmore East - December 1969' by The Nice. I've played it, on the Mini Egg, while I was in hospital, but I want to give it a good listen, thru' the Bose..... the tracks are:
CD 1
1) Rondo
2) Ars Longa Vita Brevis
3) Little Arabella
4) She Belongs To Me
CD 2
1) Country Pie
2) Five Bridges Suite
3) Hang On To A Dream
4) Intermezzo: Karelia Suite
5) America
6) War & Peace
I'm not sure about all of the spellings - but, I think I've got it all right. It's a really good album, especially the version of 'America'.... well good !!
Right, my plans for the rest of the day.... I have a couple, none to special tho'. I want to tidy my computer table & put away some of my junk, that has built up over the last few months. Even tho' some of it has been put here, over the few weeks I was away..... I just have to go thru' it all !!
Sooooo - for now, I will be on my ways & get started on my little clear up !! I thank you all for logging in & reading my words - as always, it's good to know you're "out there" !! Try & watch 'The Battle Of The Five Armies' it's worth it, just to hear the "jambags" line - well, I think so at least...... until next time...
Bye Bye

Happy Thanksgiving !!
Hi again World's !!
I hope your bit of the Universe is treating you well.... not too bright or dull, not to harsh or lame ?! As long as you're all doing "Ok" in whatever bit of this glass bead we surround ourselves in !!
It's another Thursday & it's a little after 2pm, here in England's South-West corner..... so far, it's been a busy kind of day !! To explain...
Yesterday, I had my dressings changed... and that should of lasted until tomorrow. Unfortunately, things went a bit weird late yesterday afternoon & B had to take me down to the surgery, to get it looked at again. I won't bore you with too many details, but... it all got a little messy !!
The nurse wasn't there - but the Dr was "in the house" and he let B get on & do a re-dress & everything turned out Ok. But - because of the mess - I had to go back again today & have it dressed again. Bit of a bummer really.....
Not to worry - the job is done now, until tomorrow...... when, hopefully, things will get back to normal. Time will tell, I guess. If nothing else, I'll get to see one of my favourite nurses, sooooo - that won't be too bad.
Talking of B...
My Wife & Dearest Friend is upstairs, doing a bag thingy, for her Cousin. She wanted one made for her friend & B got a bit of custom out of it all. As long as she gets paid for it & is not expected to make it for free !!
Going back to this morning.... B bought me a copy of 'The Battle Of The 5 Armies' on Blue-ray... it's the extended version & completes 'The Hobbit' trilogy. As yet, I've not played it - I'll save that for later on. As it is, I'm working my ways thru' the complete 'Farscape' collection.
When I was in hospital - I decided to (when I got home) to watch all 40+ DVD's and now I've been home a couple of days, I've made a start !! So far, I'm onto disc 3.... it's good to watch them again, lots of fun !!
It's great to be home.... I'm still getting used to being here & away from the hospital "routine" (for want of a better word).... getting used to doing things in my own time. Being stuck in the place, for several weeks - well, it's just a bit of institutionalization !! That's a big word.... but, it's the only way I can describe how things go !! Oh well....
As for the music of the moment.....I was playing the latest Def Leppard album..... the M & M's bought it for me and I think it's only the 2nd album I have by them - so, thank you guys !! It's better than I expected.... the tracks are:
1) Let's Go
2) Dangerous
3) Man Enough
4) We Belong
5) Invincible
6) Sea Of Love
7) Energized
8) All Time High
9) Battle Of My Own
10) Broke 'n' Brokenhearted
11) Forever Young
12) Last dance
13) Wings Of An Angel
14) Blind Faith
15) We Belong (American vocal version)
16) Let's Go (UK radio edit)
I saw the band once... they were really bad !! The Cd is good tho' - go & check it out sometime....
Right, my plans for today... well, none at all really !! I want to sit back & chill a bit more... until I can build up a bit more strength, but hopefully, in a few days I will be fitting fit !! For now tho' - I must be on my ways.
I thank you for logging in & reading my words.... well, the few I've written - not the ones I'm thinking - those will wait until I know how to put them into "print" - or whatever writing my blog & publishing my words can be called. Anyhoo.... it's all one thing or another.... until next time...
Bye Bye

Bye Bye

Swallow The Sun & great to be home !!
Greetings again Worlds !!
It's been just shy of 4 weeks, since I last put finger to keyboard..... where does the time go, when you're having fun ?! If I'm right - it was 4 weeks ago, tomorrow, when I last signed off...... sorry about that !!
First tho'... the family.
As I type, B... My Wife & Dearest Friend... is sat over to my left. We picked up next weeks TV guide, this morning & she is looking thru' that.. Most times, she buys it on a Tuesday - along with a bar of my favourite chocolate, in order to keep me grounded, on what day of the week it is. It really does help !!
As for the rest of the Clan... well, ME is coming over a bit later. B is going to make something for the M & M's house & she is coming to lend support !! I've not seen M for a few weeks now..... but, we'll catch up at some point, I'm sure.
I would tell you about our Son - J - but, I've not seen him in a couple of years & - as he still seems to hate my guts - I doubt if that's a situation that is going to change, anytime in the near (or distant) future !! Oh well.....
As Marlon Brando said in 'Apocalypse Now'....... "I know my Son will not understand what I have tried to achieve" ...... well, each to their own I guess !!
Right.....
So - where have I been, over these past weeks..... Well, in a nut shell - stuck in the hospital again !! As I wrote, all of those days ago..... I went in on Wednesday 28th October and that's where I've been ever since !!
My health had steadily gone down hill & when my infection levels went over the 200 mark, so I called the Consultant up & basically said "Help" !! I went into the hospital & then had surgery number 11 on the following Wednesday....... November 3rd.
In a way, it worked out really well.... I was due to have the same surgery, today....... sooooo, I actually had it all done, 3 weeks early !! Had I gone in - today - and had it all done.... well, I would of been stuck in the hospital, in the weeks leading up to Christmas & I would not of been too happy with that !! It wasn't a great load of fun, as it was, being stuck in the place, for nearly 4 weeks..... with-out all of the build up to Christmas !!
Anyhoo - it's all done & dusted now..... the metal work is out of my body & all being well, most of the infections, linked with it, are behind me !!
I actually have all of the metal work here & I can now see, just how weird & wonderful it all is !! It might sound dumb - but, to have the stuff, in front of me, it represents a form of "closure". I - we - have gone thru' a shit load of stuff, over the last 30 months.... sooooo, to have all of the stuff removed & to be able to see, what was causing the problem.... well, it's over now & I'm already feeling a lot, lot better !!
I will no doubt go on about the hospital stay - in the coming days & weeks..... sooooo, be prepared to have lots of stories, especially about some of the characters I came across, during their stays !!
As for the music of the moment...
Well, I've only picked up 2 Cd's.... during my enforced stay, away from home. Those were....... another version of Nightwish's 'Endless Forms Most Beautiful' album. Ok - I already have the original Cd release..... with the instrumental versions Cd, but this one has a very good DVD along with it !! It's really good - tho' so far, I've only played a small section of it......
The other Cd... well, that was a punt in the dark......
I've bought a 3 Cd studio album by a band called Swallow The sun & the album is called 'Songs From The North - I, II & III'. It's really strange, but it's kind of heavier than I usually buy - but, it's worth having in the collection !!
The tracks are:
CD I
1) With You Came All Of The World's Tears
2) 10 Silver Bullets
3) Rooms & Shadows
4) Heartstrings Shattering
5) Silhouettes
6) The Memory Of Light
7) Lost & Catatonic
8) From Happiness To Dust
CD II
1) The Womb Of Winter
2) The Heart Of A Cold White Winter
3) Away
4) Pray For The Winds To Come
5) Songs From The North
6) 60 Degrees 50' N. 28 Degrees 40' E.
7) Autumn Fire
8) Before The Summer Dies
CD III
1) Gathering Of Black Moths
2) 7 Hours Late
3) Empires Of Loneliness
4) Abandoned By The Light
5) The Clouds Prepare For Battle
Ok - I know it's heavy & the names don't do much for the tracks - but, considering I've never heard of the band - let alone heard anything by them, it was worth buying !! Check them out & go for it !!
Right, I may as well shut off for now.... my back is killing me - mainly as I've spent most of the last 4 weeks on a bed !! To be honest - the quicker I get some strength back, the better..... that won't be for a few days/weeks tho'. I need to let the wound heal, before I do too much !! Oh well......
Thank's for logging in & reading my words.... it's great to be home & writing again !! I will return in a day or two - probably tomorrow..... until then...
Bye Bye
