Hi again World's !!
I hope you're all doing this fine Christmas... I was tempted to say Christmas Eve - but, depending where you live, in the Universe, it might already be Christmas Day with you !! Sooooo - I will just leave it at "I hope you're doing Ok" and move on !!
As I type - B is across the road, having a chin-wag with one of the neighbours...... I don't know, just how long she is going to be, so the music is turned down to deafening & I'm hoping our other neighbours are enjoying it, as much as I am !!
A bit earlier - like 8am - we headed towards town, before all the crowds got going. We only wanted a few things, for tomorrow..... but, we thought we best get an early start !! As it was, things went pretty well..... the supermarket was really quiet, sooooo we must of beat the crazies !! That was brilliant, as far as I was concerned - I hate crowds !!
We were actually home, by 11.30 - so that was a bonus !! It meant B could get on with her bit of cooking - a chocolate log, requested by our Daughter (I think) - not much else really...... it meant everything has been done & dusted, really early !!
Changing the subject - the TV is on - quietly in the corner - and they're showing 'photos of Pluto, which were taking earlier in the year. I thought they were fantastic - so much so, that for a very long time, I had one image on my computer 'desk top'...... it was a brilliant achievement, to go all that ways & get such great images !! As I say.... truly brilliant !!
Going on to the music of the moment.... I'm playing Dream Theater's cover of Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' album. I love the fact, that the band did such a great version of it !! I've written about it before - but the tracks are:
1) Highway Star
2) Child In Time
3) Smoke On The Water
4) The Mule
5) Strange Kind Of Woman
6) Lazy
7) Space Truckin'
It is a straight copy of the Purple album.... well good tho' !! Try & treat yourself to a copy..... I'm not sure where you will find it - but, it's available some place or another !!
When B had finished her cooking, I did the dishes, listening to Status Quo's Birmingham concert, from back in the mid 80's. I don't know the exact date, but it was a special TV thingy, followed by the whole concert (I think) being broadcast, on the radio.
The tracks are:
1) Intro - God Save The Queen
2) Caroline
3) Roll Over, Lay Down
4) Black Water
5) Little Lady
6) Don't Drive My Car
7) Whatever You want
8) Hold You Back
9) Rocking All Over The World
10) Over The Edge
11) Don't Waste My Time
12) Dirty Water
13) Forty-Five Hundred Times
14) Big Fat Mama
15) Roadhouse Blues
16) Rain
17) Down down
18) Bye Bye Johnny
It was for the Prince's Trust charity.... and Charles & Diana were in the crowd, to lend some support - long before they split up & Charles married his second wife... small 'w', on that one !! Moving on....
I have no real plans to do anything, this afternoon...... maybe play a few more albums, or just kick back & watch a bit of TV. I'm not really sure, what I'm going to do..... it's just going to be a quiet & peaceful afternoon - that's going to be the plan, at least !!
Sooooo - I'll wish you all, a very happy Christmas & hope you're going to log in next year & read my words... it's always good to know, that you're out there !! I'm not really sure what 2016 is going to bring.... other than our first Grandchild - that's going to be a very special moment & that's for sure !!
So - have a great Christmas.... I will return, as & when time permits. My thanks to you all.... until next time...
Bye Bye
