Hello again World's !!
It's a warm, but wet Saturday, here in England's South-West...... I'm staying in the house, for as long as I can - it looks too nasty outside for my liking !! Nevermind - the music is loud & warm.... ho-hum !!
A big "Hello" to my Russian reader.... you've read a few of my words, over the last week, sooooo, I hope you have found them interesting ?! As I used to write - one day, I will write something worth reading !! Oh well..... it's good to know you're out there !!
AS I type, I'm home alone..... B has, or is, doing another craft fair. This time, it's here in the village. If I look out of the bedroom window, I could probably see the roof of the village hall, where it's being held. This is her 2nd fair, so hopefully she is having a good time. Heck - hopefully they're having some customers !! It would be very boring - to sit there all afternoon & have nobody show up !!
As for the rest of the family... well, we saw ME a few days ago - when we went to the house & dropped off some cash (B had bought some stuff & wanted to pay our Daughter as soon as she could) & I'm not really sure when we see the munchkin again. I guess it will depend on her work & when they have some time to themselves.
I do have Star Trek model for M... nothing special, but I must remember to give it to them, when they are next around. Bless them - I really love those guys !!
As for J - our Son... well, I've heard nothing from him, in quite a few months, sooooo I have nothing to report there !! I'll just work on the knowledge, that he still hates my guts & have done with it. One thing is for sure - he ain't going to be coming here for Christmas...... that boat sank, just after the bridge was burnt !! Oh well..... life is good !!
It's 3pm & I'm completely knackered.... it feels like I could sleep for a week !! As I wrote, while I was in the hospital - "half the World is asleep - unfortunately, we're not in that half" !! Nevermind.... I'll try & catch up tonight..... that would be good. There is nothing so bad, as waking up knackered....
I wrote a lot of stuff down, while I was in the hospital..... like "there are 2 of you - 1 that kills & 1 that loves".... that came out of listening to the 'Apocalypse Now' movie s/t !! Heck - it gets boring in the hospital - sooooo listening to the complete 'AN' soundtrack helped pass a few hours away !!
As did listening to the complete BBC versions of 'The Hobbit' & 'The Lord Of The Rings' radio plat type things. It's quite amazing how well, those versions are done !! All the acting & dialogue, really brings the story into your imagination....... makes it feel almost real !!
I did enjoy listening to 'Rendezvous With Rama' - the old Issac Asimov story, which the BBC also did as a type of radio play. That was really interesting, as I was completely knackered & wanted something to "fall asleep" to. However - it was sooooo good, I listened to the whole 2 hours of the thing & was more awake, at the end, than I was at the beginning !! It gave me my 2nd wind, so to speak !!
Going back nearly 30 years - when I was much younger - if I couldn't sleep, I would put the headphones on, turned down to just below deafening & blast a whole bundle of stuff, into my head !! One night, I played 5 or 6 Bruce Springsteen albums, end to end & then went out for a coffee, to where a friend worked......
Now a days - I do not drink coffee, nor is my friend, a friend anymore......... He lost that title, when he knocked at the door, about 7am and asked to use a bed, as he had picked up a girl, the previous night. When I said no - mainly as the guy had a "Wife" at home - he got really pissed with me.... moaning about being let down by a friend etc etc !! Oh well.... he's no longer a friend & he still owes me cash, nevermind.... life goes on !!
Right - "The Music Of The Moment" !!
As I've typed, I've been listening to Dream Theater's 'Live At Budokan' 3 Cd set.... I'm on the last Cd at the moment & I've enjoyed playing it all the ways thru'. It was one of the earliest DT live albums I ever had - still a good one tho' !! The tracks are:
CD 1
1) As I Am
2) The Dying Soul
3) Beyond This Life
4) Hollow Years
5) War Inside My Head
6) The Test That Stumped Them All
CD 2
1) Endless Sacrifice
2) Instrumedley
3) Trial Of Tears
4) New Millennium
5) Keyboard Solo
6) Only A Matter Of Time
CD 3
1) Goodnight Kiss
2) Solitary Shell
3) Stream Of Consciousness
4) Disappear
5) Pull Me Under
6) In The Name Of God
Most of this stuff - the tracks - are from the 'Train Of Thought' Cd.... the first album I ever bought by the band. It's the one I bought in Cornwall - which I kind of wrote about a couple of days ago - along with 'The Datsuns' Cd.
It's a great album & served me really well, as an introduction to the band's live out-put !! It was released in 2004.... over 10 years ago..... 2 things from that. (1) I didn't realise it was that old & (2) It's been that long since we had a proper holiday !! Must do something about that..... maybe soon !!
Right... I must sign off for today. ME has arrived, so I need to put the kettle on for my Daughter. I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words.... wherever you all live, I hope the World is treating you well.... until next time....
Bye Bye
