It's another Tuesday & I'm here - once again - listening to the Allman Brothers..... only another 6 or 7 concerts to go & I will have finished the 'Beacon 2011' box set. I will then have to 'detox' my way back onto other music !!
Last night I was going thru' the Allman's web site - checking out what to listen to next - that means talking B into letting me have some more Cd's in the collection.... which might be a hard thing to do !! We'll see how things go.... at the moment I'm just enjoying what I have here !! Time will tell tho'.......
Right. The family are mostly out at the moment. B has just gone to a weight watchers meeting, ME is working until 6 or 7pm & J is sat here eating his supper. That leaves me typing these words & enjoying the music !! Life is great !!
It's been a very quiet day - for me, at least. I have been asleep for most of it !! I didn't have such a good night & the result was I had to sleep it off this afternoon, for a couple of hours. I don't know what is wrong at the moment - but, I'm getting very fed up with the various 'pains' I'm having to put up with !! Never mind - all in all, things have improved, so.........
...... the "left black hand" has gone back to a sort of pink & yellow hand now - but, for some reason, the pain has now gone to my wrist !! Oh well - unless it drops off completely - it should heal up pretty soon !! Or at least, it better..........
I had a bit of a surprise today !! I was on 'Yahoo', to check my mail & low & behold - I found these postings of mine looking right back at me !! That was kind of weird - I write these words for anybody to read - but, to find them on 'Yahoo' was a little bit of a shock !! I just didn't expect it..... hence it was a bit of a shock & a little weird !!
Also, a little weird - and I have to say a sorry to ME about it - I thought there was one of our cats stuck in her room in the night..... thinking she was out at her boyfriends all night, I just went in to look see & woke her up in the process !! Ooooooooppppppppssss..... I probably will not be allowed to live that down for a while - but, I just got turned around..... being semi-asleep & everything, so... as I say... oooppss !! I will have to make it up to her at some point or somehow !!
The concert I'm playing at the moment, has probably been the least favourite of the box set so far..... it has, as back up (to the band) the Juke Horns and for me, the 5 of them tend to block out the rest of the music.
I was a little concerned, when we saw Gregg Allman last month - when I saw a bunch of brass instruments lined up on stage, that it might not be so good... but, the guy who played them was really good & it added to the whole sound... rather than spoiling it !! Oh well....... concert 7 has just ended - so I'm now onto concert 8 & more than 50% ways thru' the shows. I'll probably have them done & dusted by the end of the week...... B will be pleased - I think she is getting a little OD'd on the Allmans at the moment !!
I had a letter today, from the police - in Bristol...... I'm guessing their head office or something. It's about the "neighbour from hell" & the way they (the police) handled it when they came out. It's some kind of 'feedback' type of thing & they are going to phone me up, to ask a few questions about it all....... kind of strange !!
Never mind - it will give me chance to say a few things.... nothing nasty - all in all, I'm pleased with what they did & how things have turned out. I just didn't expect to have a letter about it all - especially after 2 weeks or so !!
Talking of neighbours, one of them made B laugh earlier - the kids were running riot in the street (as kid do) & she said she would tell one of their Mums - unless they calmed down a bit !! It seems that - as she lives next door to them - they were running around the house & the such like. Knowing that his Mum is a bit tight on what he does & she wasn't home - I think it was to slow him down a bit !! B laughed about it tho' - it wasn't the sort of thing the lady says or does - but, the result was - the kids did quiet down.... a lot !! I don't think she will tell his Mum, but the thought that she would - well - it worked !!
The plans tomorrow seem to be pretty 'strange' - for me at least. I think we are taking J into town & then we are heading towards Taunton.... to use the bank again. From there, we have to get back to town - do some shopping & then (I hope) home. Now, that might not sound too bad - but, it is a lot of running around & to be honest, I'm not looking forward to it all !! But - I'll fill you in on how it turns out....... for tonight tho' - it's back to the Allmans........ until next time....
