Well "Hello" Worlds.... !!
I hope you are all doing well today ?!  It's a Friday here in England - overcast, but quite warm.  As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend, B is out doing the back lawn....... it's got too long to cut with the mower, so she bought a new strimmer bit & is attacking it with that !!
I just went out to see her & it's very wet (the grass) so.... it's taking a bit of time to hack thru' it !!  We did have a lot of rain over the last few weeks.... so, it's not surprising really !!  When she has finished, the mower will come out to pick up the grass & rubbish.
So - that's B & the garden.... J, our Son, is upstairs, having just got up an hour ago, & my Daughter, ME is up at Uni today.  She goes up just once a week at the moment.  She has done all her assignments & stuff, so it's just a "show your face" type of thing now.  I'm not 100% sure when she will be home.... a bit later I guess.
So - that's the family..... leaving me here, with one of the cats - who, having written that, has just gone upstairs. Oh well, he does spend most of the day on our bed & - as he has been out all night - I guess that's where he has gone now !!  It's a hard life....
The music of the moment is the Allman's live Cd 'Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas' - which I happen to really like, tho' I don't think it is universally !!  I had the 2 Lp set & when I had chance to buy the Cd, well - I went for it !!  The 'Elizabeth Reed' featured is one of my favourites, it really is.  But, having said that - the newer ones, are just as good.... if not better !!  I just have a spot for this version, in my memory banks !!
I've not written anything for a few days - sorry about that folks - but, I have been struggling this past week.  Yesterday was probably the low point, I couldn't do diddly squat !!  In the end - I sat down & recorded some more of our friends Lp's for them.  It's not very hard, to just put a Cd in one machine, play the Lp & enter the tracks as they come along !!  I still have one box set to record for them & a few single albums.... but, most of them are done now.
I had hoped to pass them on, to our friends, at Church on Sunday.... but, it's a Stake Conference this weekend & I'm not sure if they will be there - or for that matter, if I will be there either !!  It's held in Bristol & B doesn't think I will be able to make the trip..... it's about 80 miles, there & back... so, not too far.... but we will see how I am, on Sunday.
I'm a little upset at the moment - one of my speakers keeps going dead !!  Which probably means I have a dodgy connection in the back of the amp !!  Bummer - that means a little bit of handy work - moving the whole unit(s) out & finding what is not in place !!  It's my fault - I did a bit of cleaning yesterday & more than likely, dislodged one of the cables !!  My bad - when it goes completely 'dead' I'll have a go at fixing it - for now, it's playing.... so I will leave it as it is !!
I had to see my local Dr this morning..... once again, I've had to go onto some more pills !!  The thing I went to the hospital about last weekend, hasn't cleared up - in fact it's got worse - so, as my immune system can't cope with it, I have another set of things to take !!  Over the weekend, the chemist is going to grow some cultures & we will see what the problem is, and how to treat it, from those.  Great stuff........
.... in the meantime, I have to put up with the pain & feeling like s**t.... but, it's the way things are, so..... !!  At least the morphine works !!  Onwards, ever onwards !!
On the Zeppelin front - I have at least 3 concerts from May 18th !!  One from Texas 1973, another from Earls Court in 1975 (which I will write about later) and the one I'm going for.  It's a 3 Cd set, from Birmingham, Alabama USA and it's always been one of my favourites... the tracks are:
CD 1
1) The Song Remains The Same
2) Sick Again
3) Nobody's Fault But Mine
4) In My Time Of Dying
5) Since I've Been Loving You
6) No Quarter
CD 2
1) Ten Years Gone
2) The Battle Of evermore
3) Going To California
4) Black Country Woman
5) Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
6) White Summer/Black Mountain Side
7) Kashmir
8) Moby Dick
CD 3
1) Guitar Solo
2) Achilles Last Stand
3) Stairway To Heaven
4) Rock & Roll
I have 2 versions of this concert... one audience & - the better of the 2 - a great soundboard recording.  The latter was given to me by a guitarist of note (I've mentioned before)  who had it in his collection & thought/knew I would like it !! It's the standard 1977 set, but it - for me - is a great concert.  As always, do not buy bootlegs... get the official stuff !!  More another time.......
Ok - the plans for today.... well, as I feel like rubbish, I intend to sit back & probably record some more of the Lp's I have here.  I'm not really sure on that - but, it's a plan & it's the only one I have at the moment, so..........
For now, I will away - I might be back later, I'll see how things go. My thanks to my English reader for logging in today...... until next time...
Bye Bye
