Dream Theater 'Made In Japan' !!

Well "Greetings" World's...

As it's a Saturday - today & not yesterday is the official end of our week. I only bring this up... well, because I thought of it, that's all !!

Ok - as I type - B is outside, in the wildest part of our garden, attacking a Hazel tree - which, unfortunately is overgrowing it's
corner !! I did go out & help, just for a short time.... but, it's one thing, that I've learnt this past year..... I am far from being as fit, as I once was !!

Just cutting a few branches down - well, it pretty well knackered me !! Mind you.... still having the remains of a hole in my back - not to mention a bum leg, where they took the skin graft from.... Ho-hum !!

Thankfully, there is a goodly supply of pain med's, in the house..... so, I will indulge myself, in just a few minutes. It's a good job, that the morphine taste sooooo bad - or else I can see myself drinking it by the bottle full, when things get like they are, at the moment !!

Enough of my moaning - for a few minutes.... back to the family !!

B has had a couple of texts, from J - over in Wales..... He has received the package I help send him. It has the new Nightwish 'Showtime, Storytime' live set in it - so, I hope he will enjoy that !! It's all music - so, I hope it will go down well !!

As for ME - well, she was working this morning.... and, I'm guessing she will be home, in the next few hours. But - she might go straight over to M's place (her boyfriend's) first.... I know she is staying the night there, as she isn't working tomorrow !! This new job, of hers, seems to be going well..... I'm glad to see her getting more spare time !! I do worry about both of our kids, when they do too much & don't rest as much as they should !!

Anyhoo - that's the family.... except me of course !! I - once again - had a crap night.... B wasn't happy that I seemed to have messed up my dressings, on my back. I didn't do it on purpose (honestly) - but, it looks like I've done it a bit of damage !! Oh well - smacked wrist for me, I guess !!

I have to go back to the surgery, on Monday... so, the nurse I see there, will no doubt give me a ticking off, if I've done too much (to the wound) - but, that's a couple of days away yet !! I'm not allowed to get away with too much - as far as the nurses go...... nevermind !!

Moving along to music.....

I found 2 Dream Theater "concerts" on YouTube last night... and, as I type - I'm listening to one of them !! It's a complete run thru' of Deep Purple's 'Made In Japan' - track for track, as per the original 2 Lp set...... it's well good !! The Tracks are:

It's well good - a great listen &... I think... it's available to buy, thru' one of the Dream Theater web sites. I will be looking for it, myself.... once I get into the new year & out of all of the Christmas rushing around !!

I think it will be like the Allman's & their live sets.... as it's being classed as an "official bootleg" !! As I say - I'll go looking forward to tracking it down...... it's a good one !!

The other concert - well, as yet, I've not played it thru'.... but, it's from the bands 2005 World tour & was recorded in Rome. I don't think it's a complete concert - but.... it looks good !! The tracks are:

Thinking about it - it's about one Cd in length... so, if it's an official bootleg, it might have been edited down, to fit the 80 minutes, or whatever the time is...... I'll give it a listen, at some point & - like the other one - see if I can buy it, in the new year !!

I took a short break - one of our neighbour's came in, for a short chat. She had seen B & myself, out in the garden & wanted to make sure we were not over doing things !! In the end - I invited her in & I showed her the pictures of my back wound..... to explain !!

She has a Son & - in a while, he is going to have surgery, on his back...... As I understand it, to have a few injections into the gaps, in his vertebrae, to help with some back pain problems, he is having. I had similar things done, in the past & they really do work - so......

The problem, I think, is - he is a little frightened about the whole "going into hospital" thing !! Which, in all honesty, I can understand..... to me, it's just become part of my life - but, to him.... it's all kind of new !!

Anyways - his Mum has been worried.... mainly as she has known about my problems. So - today... in an attempt to help her, with her concerns... well, I asked her in & explained that, what I had had done, compared to her Son's surgery, was a completely different thing & - altho' I've been poorly - it didn't necessary follow, that he would !!

Unfortunately - I showed her my pictures & that has completely put her off !! She said she would tell her Son, not to have it done - based on what had happened to me.... which is kind of dumb really - as my surgery, in the first place, was far bigger than he is having !! In real terms, his operation is sooooo much smaller - well, there is very little comparison...... !!

One "good" thing did come out of it tho' !! The neighbour said, now she has seen the pictures, she can tell people just "how bad" my back has been... to tell them (the people I guess) exactly what she has seen & how bad it's been for us !! So - if there are any nasty gossips going around the village, about just how sick I am.... she will be able to say "I've seen the pictures" !! type of thing !!

I told her, she can send her Son over - if he wants - and we can talk about how he feels..... maybe B & I can ease his worries, just a bit !!

Before I sign off - for today - I mentioned our Son, J... a little earlier. Well, things are not too good between us.... between J & myself. Anyhoo - he is coming home for Christmas - so, I've offered to move out - while he stays here - just to make his stay, a little more comfortable. If he's coming for the holiday - he may as well be "happy" while he is here !! If my moving out for the week, helps that, in any ways - well..... that's what I will do !!

For now tho' - I will be on my ways.... I really do thank you, for logging in & reading my words.... until next time...
