Greetings World's !!
I hope your bit of the Universe is treating you well ?! My thank's to my readers, in Russia & America, for logging in today & for reading my words !! As I've said - many times before - one day, I might write something worth reading !! The jury is still out, on that one !!
Anyways - it's another Friday, here in England... it's kind of cold, outside - nothing too bad tho'. B is hoping for some snow, soon - she hates being cold, but loves the snow .... go figure ?!
A little earlier - mainly to cheer me up a bit - we went, into town, to do a bit of grocery shopping. We didn't really need anything, that urgent....... but, I wasn't feeling too special, sooooo B put me into the car & off we went !!
At the moment, as those of you who live locally will know - there is a bit of road working, going on.... it's causing a whole bunch of chaos, it really is !! I'm guessing, that they are trying to repair & alter bits of the road, ahead of the some major building work.
The plan is - at some point - to build another nuclear power station, about 2 miles or so (as the crow flies) from where we live. So - the roads are being prepared, for all of the extra traffic, that will be using them - as & when - in the not too distant future !!
A lot of people, have been protesting, against the new station... as for my views, on the subject - I couldn't really give a crap about it !! I can't really understand, why people are moaning - we have had 2 power stations, at the same place, for one heck of a long time..... so, what is the problem, with building a 3rd one !!
Oh well....
I mentioned B... she is over, to my left - doing some more crafty stuff. Yesterday, she booked a table at a craft fair, near to where her Dad lives. The plan is - if all goes well - to have a whole bunch of stuff done... and then. try & sell them, at the fair !!
It's going to be the very time, that she has tried this.... the selling side of her hobby, sooooo - it's going to an interesting experiment, if nothing else !! I hope it all goes well - she is really hoping, that things will work out.
In the mean time, I can only offer moral support & wish her well !! I'll try & let you know, how things go !! It's not going to happen, until the end of the year..... ho-hum...
As for the music, of the moment...
I'm playing a 2 Lp set, by Nils Lofgren....... It's called 'Night After Night' & I bought it 2nd hand, oh quite a time ago, from the guy who runs a 2nd hand record store, in town. The tracks are:

That's not too big a deal - Ok... it is, but I'm half way buying it now - sooooo, I just have to get the remaining Cd's & the actual box, to hold them, so - life will be good !!
As mentioned, probably yesterday - plus the days before that - I've sorted out the long tracks, and I've put them, onto the Mini Egg... so, that's good !! I might have some more, reach me - this coming week.... but, I'm getting to the point, where I'm running out of time !!
It's only 8 or 9 days, before I go into the hospital - so........ I'm reaching the point, where I have to sort my bags out & pack myself up, ready for my holiday, in the blooming place !!
That means, unfortunately - if Cd's are not here, in the next few days..... they will have to be left here, un-played !! As sad, as it might sound.... I will have to "man up" & leave things here - ready for when I come home. There is that, to look forward to...... oh well...
Right my plans, for the rest of the day.
I have a few things, to sort out......... but, that won't take too long !! Sooooo - for now, I will be on my ways. As always, I thank you for logging & taking the time, to read my words...... it's good to know, that there is someone - out there - and I'm not typing this junk, for my own use !! Allman Brother's March 21st 2014.. Ho-hum !!
Hi again World's !!
It's a bright - but wet - Thursday, here in England.... that is to say, our little part of it !! On the news, this morning, they showed all of the places, that have had a load of snow - as yet, we've not had any, which is kind of a shame... but, at least, the roads aren't too nasty !!
As we live, a few miles from the sea - we hardly get much... snow, that is... but, when we do - well, it can get pretty bad !! A few years back - they opened up the village hall, to help some people, who were stranded !! The snow was too deep, for the cars to get thru'. Never mind.... maybe we'll get some, later on, in the Spring, or whatever it's called these days !!
Thinking about it - I don't want it to snow, for a while.... I'm going to be stuck, in the hospital & that's 50 miles from here !! I do not want B to be driving around in the white stuff..... when it comes to visiting me - it's one worry, that I do not want to have !!
Talking of My Wife & Dearest Friend - B has gone into town, to do a bit of shopping & also visit with her carers group. It's a once a month thing & she likes to go, when it's possible. Next week - I think, the group are going up to Glastonbury, for a day out.... that's close to her Dad's place - so, I suspect, that she pay him a visit, at the same time.
Sooooo - I'm home alone, for a few hours !! That means - yes folks - it music blasting time !!

Ok - I've missed out the various announcements & stuff, but - it's a great set list !! I have a load more, to listen to - concerts, that have reached me this week... but, I'll get around to them, as the days go on & on !!
Last night, I put all of the concerts, onto the Mini Egg - I'm now, in the process of taking the shorter versions, of various tracks off the thing. That ways, I can listen to the longest possible versions, of each track, when I'm stuck in bed, or when we're driving around. Great stuff !!
What could be better... one of my favourite bands, playing the long versions, of their best tracks + some cover versions.... it's going to give me something to listen to & that's a fact, when I'm stuck in Exeter, after my next surgery !!
Only 10 or 11 days to go... oh well.... I'm not looking forward to it, the surgery - but, if it works ?! Time will tell, I guess.....
I still say, that I have the easy part !! I go to the hospital, get knocked out, have the surgery & then spend some time recovering !! B - bless her, leaves me, at the theater door & then has to drive home, on her own !! That's not nice, not nice at all !!
Going back, to yesterday....
Our lovely Daughter ME, came over !! She just sits, in B's rocking chair & sucks up the warm, from the heaters & the pots of tea, that I make for her !!
I love both of our children, I really do - it's just fantastic, how much they give us, with-out really doing anything !! They are just fantastic.... bless them both & M.... our "Son-in-Law" - sort of !!
If it's dry, tomorrow - I'm going over to the M & M's house, in the hope of fixing their guttering. It has come apart & the water just pours thru' it, when it rains. Not good.... sooooo, if it's dry, I'll get up the ladder & see if I can join it back together !!
As for my plans - for the rest of the day... well - I'm going to sit on my chair & do the dishes, as best I can & listen to some more music !! That sounds like a great plan, to me at least !!
So - I will be on my ways... as always, thank's for taking the time, to log in & read my words... until next time..

Allman Brothers concerts... ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you today ?! Here - in England - it's kind of cold, but - thankfully - it's dry.... so, that's not so bad. I had to go down, to the Dr's surgery earlier, for a meeting & it wasn't too bad at all, even if the room I was in, was really warm !!
Anyways - it's a Tuesday... and I'm sat here, feeling a little pissed off... more of that later.
As for the family - well, B is here with me... I think she has just gone outside, to fill up the bird feeders. I guess, that's a never ending job - the number of birds, that we get - in the garden... well...
The BBC & some other bird groups, have been asking people, to sit - for one hour - to log, just what sort of birds & their numbers, that we get in our gardens. As it is - we get sooooo many different birds, I'm not really sure Auntie Beeb would believe our tally !!
Oh well..... lots of birds !!
Right - why am I a little pissed off ?!
On Saturday, I had a letter in the post, pointing out - as I've said before - saying that, I had to pay £20+ in order to have a parcel delivered. The parcel being, a bunch of Allman Brothers concerts, from 2014....
So, today - we've been sat here, waiting for the parcel to arrive..... only to have an e-mail, from the Allman's web site, this morning, saying - that due to high demand.... some of the Cd's are out of stock !! It's been a pain in the butt, as it is - paying for the parcel, to get here... but, to find out today, that it might not contain all of the Cd's... well !!
I'm still hopeful - that I might get all of the concerts, in the post... but, if not !! It means, in a nut shell, that I'm going to have to pay, another £20+ for the rest of the order, whenever that happens to reach these shores !! That will mean, I'm out of pocket, around the $60 mark, paying the extras - $60 that I could of spent, on more Allman's Cd's !!
Oh well - I will wait & see, exactly what reaches me.... depending on what time, the parcel van gets here !! That could be, in a minute - or later this evening.... they never seem to be able, to give an approximate time... just a date !!
Talking of dates....
This morning, talking at the meeting I had - I told the lady, that I was going into hospital, next week... when infact, it's the week after !! If only I had a brain etc etc etc.... Nevermind, one date is as good as another, I guess !!
Just took a break... the parcel van has been !!
My worst fears have been unfounded... Out of the 11 concerts, that I was expecting - 9 have arrived !! That's not sooooo bad. But - if I have to pay another £20, just for the last 2... that will be a real bummer !! Time will tell...
Next week, I will be ordering another bundle of concerts..... hopefully, they will arrive in one go. Having them come in drip & drops, ain't too good - well, not for me, at least. Whatever, they will not reach me, until after I go into hospital.
Right - today is a special day - the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I am not a Jew, but, it is very important, to keep the memory of those, who died, in the camps - wherever they were.
One of my Uncles, was tasked with helping the people, at one of the other camps... something he would never forget. Life has gone on - but, we must never forget !! No matter your views on the subject...
Right - I must be on my ways - 9 concerts to listen to & things like that.... ho-hum !!

I forgot to mention - Demis Roussos, the Greek singer has passed away... I hope I've spelt your correctly Mr R !!
Sooooo - on the day, that the Greek people vote for a far left party (congrats to Alexis Tsipras) - they lose one of their greatest singers... kind of an extreme way of saying "none of the above" I guess...
Anyways - I forgot to mention him, earlier...
... and, much to my surprise, I actually found the Cd's !!

'Illumination Theory' !! Ho-hum...
Greetings World's !!
It's a not so warm Monday - here in England's South-West corner. B & I went into town, a while back & - to be honest - I was not the warmest person on the planet & that's for sure !! Nevermind - we've been home for a couple of hours now & I'm starting to warm up a bit..... it helps having the heating on !!
As it was a Monday - I had to go down, to the local surgery & have my dressings changed..... you might have heard the screaming, if you were in the area !! No - really, it's not that bad, well... compared to how things used to be, it's a bit of a picnic now !!
I said, to B, as we left.... it was all done & dusted, in under 10 minutes - maybe a fraction longer. Compared to the 90 minute marathon's, that it used to take - well, as I say..... a bit of a "picnic" !!
It's 2 weeks, to the day - that I have to go in, for my next surgery.... 2 weeks !! "Wow" !! I'm not really sure, how I feel about it... the next surgery, that is. We did the math & it's the 10th operation, since May 28th 2013..... sooooo, if it's possible - I really am getting a bit used to it all now, it's almost becoming routine !!
I had a bit of a joke, with the nurse, this morning. She has done most of the dressings, on Mondays & Wednesdays, since I've been home.... so, I asked her, what she was going to do, with her spare time, if I land up not having to go & see her, after the next surgery !!
As she said - someone would come along & spoil her freedom !! Oh well.... 14 days & counting..... !!
I really want it, done & over with, now... I'm getting fed up - very fed up - with it all now... routine or not, it's been a very long 21 months !!
Anyhoo - after visiting the nurse, B & I headed into town..... once again, to money into the bank & to pick up some odds & ends. I even remembered to pick up some screws, to fix the curtains, in J's old room.
A while back, the curtains fell down, here in the living room, when the rail broke away, from it's fixings. As a very temporary fix, we used the rail, in J's room. That was some weeks ago.... today, I actually remembered to get the fixings, to put J's curtains, back into place !!
It will, at least mean, that Sun won't be so bright, in that room - it's always very warm there, as the Sun goes around, in the afternoon !! I will go up, and sort things out - but not quite yet....
Mainly, because, as I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is in bed, hopefully asleep !! Ok - it's the middle of the day.... but B has a nasty bug, at the moment & she needs to sleep it off, just for a while, at least. I'll wake her up, in a few hours.....
Because she is asleep - I've only got the music of the moment, on really quietly...
I'm playing the 12 inch picture disc, of Dream Theater's 'Illumination Theory'. As I must of mentioned before... B bought the disc, for me, as Christmas pressy - it's well good !! Ok - it's exactly the same (I think) as the Cd version... but, I just have a thing, for playing old vinyl recordings, now & again !!
The music is only on one side of the disc - but, that's Ok by me..... it's a bit special, that's all. 22 minutes of great entertainment !!
Tomorrow - if all goes to plan - another batch of Cd's, from the Allman Brothers 2014 box set, will reach me !! I had a letter thingy, on Saturday, to say it would be delivered on Tuesday - sooooo, that's tomorrow sorted !!
To be honest - I'm a little pissed, at the postal service.... !! Once again, I've had to pay, just to get the Cd's thru' our system - a total of just over £20 !!
Come on guys, I've already paid the American postage, surely that's enough ?! I guess not - there is always somebody wanting to take their pickings !!
As I say, they're coming tomorrow, at some point..... so, that's going to be fun !!
I have to go out, for an hour, in the morning - so, hopefully, they will not get here, during my absence !! B will be home, for most of the hour.... so, I think we'll have it covered !! Heck - after paying that extra cash - they should let me know, exactly, when they are going to get to me !! Nevermind.... !!
Going back, to the weekend - we watched the last of 'The Hobbit' movies !! It's really, really good - so, if you get the chance, give it a look !! I am complete nerd, when it comes to 'Lord Of The Rings'... with the books & movies, sooooo - this last one 'The Battle Of The Five Armies' - was going to be a hit. with me, no matter what !!
As I've done before - I will probably put the sound tracks, onto Cd.... so that I can listen to them, thru' my iPod thingy. Ok - I know, I'm a sad git.... but, I enjoy that type of thing !! Listening to all the music & words - I can get my head, right into the whole film & enjoy it that way.
Believe me - it has kept me from going completely mad, on more than one occasion - having being stuck in one or other of the hospitals !! Oh well..... it keeps me off the streets, even if not entirely sane !!
Just before I sign off, for today - and staying with music...
As long time readers will know, I do not have the greatest of memories !! So, it might not come, as any surprise...... but, after spending many hours, recording some "mix-tape" Cd's - in the hope of putting them, onto my iPod - I can not find the discs !! I've recorded them - and put them down, someplace... now tho' - I can't find them, for love or money... I have no idea, where I put them !! Oh well... my life goes on...

I really want it, done & over with, now... I'm getting fed up - very fed up - with it all now... routine or not, it's been a very long 21 months !!
Anyhoo - after visiting the nurse, B & I headed into town..... once again, to money into the bank & to pick up some odds & ends. I even remembered to pick up some screws, to fix the curtains, in J's old room.
A while back, the curtains fell down, here in the living room, when the rail broke away, from it's fixings. As a very temporary fix, we used the rail, in J's room. That was some weeks ago.... today, I actually remembered to get the fixings, to put J's curtains, back into place !!
It will, at least mean, that Sun won't be so bright, in that room - it's always very warm there, as the Sun goes around, in the afternoon !! I will go up, and sort things out - but not quite yet....
Mainly, because, as I type - My Wife & Dearest Friend - B - is in bed, hopefully asleep !! Ok - it's the middle of the day.... but B has a nasty bug, at the moment & she needs to sleep it off, just for a while, at least. I'll wake her up, in a few hours.....
Because she is asleep - I've only got the music of the moment, on really quietly...
I'm playing the 12 inch picture disc, of Dream Theater's 'Illumination Theory'. As I must of mentioned before... B bought the disc, for me, as Christmas pressy - it's well good !! Ok - it's exactly the same (I think) as the Cd version... but, I just have a thing, for playing old vinyl recordings, now & again !!
The music is only on one side of the disc - but, that's Ok by me..... it's a bit special, that's all. 22 minutes of great entertainment !!
Tomorrow - if all goes to plan - another batch of Cd's, from the Allman Brothers 2014 box set, will reach me !! I had a letter thingy, on Saturday, to say it would be delivered on Tuesday - sooooo, that's tomorrow sorted !!
To be honest - I'm a little pissed, at the postal service.... !! Once again, I've had to pay, just to get the Cd's thru' our system - a total of just over £20 !!
Come on guys, I've already paid the American postage, surely that's enough ?! I guess not - there is always somebody wanting to take their pickings !!
As I say, they're coming tomorrow, at some point..... so, that's going to be fun !!
I have to go out, for an hour, in the morning - so, hopefully, they will not get here, during my absence !! B will be home, for most of the hour.... so, I think we'll have it covered !! Heck - after paying that extra cash - they should let me know, exactly, when they are going to get to me !! Nevermind.... !!
Going back, to the weekend - we watched the last of 'The Hobbit' movies !! It's really, really good - so, if you get the chance, give it a look !! I am complete nerd, when it comes to 'Lord Of The Rings'... with the books & movies, sooooo - this last one 'The Battle Of The Five Armies' - was going to be a hit. with me, no matter what !!
As I've done before - I will probably put the sound tracks, onto Cd.... so that I can listen to them, thru' my iPod thingy. Ok - I know, I'm a sad git.... but, I enjoy that type of thing !! Listening to all the music & words - I can get my head, right into the whole film & enjoy it that way.
Believe me - it has kept me from going completely mad, on more than one occasion - having being stuck in one or other of the hospitals !! Oh well..... it keeps me off the streets, even if not entirely sane !!
Just before I sign off, for today - and staying with music...
As long time readers will know, I do not have the greatest of memories !! So, it might not come, as any surprise...... but, after spending many hours, recording some "mix-tape" Cd's - in the hope of putting them, onto my iPod - I can not find the discs !! I've recorded them - and put them down, someplace... now tho' - I can't find them, for love or money... I have no idea, where I put them !! Oh well... my life goes on...

'Dark Side Of The Mule'... Ho-hum !!
Greeting's Word's !!
I hope your bit of the Universe is treating you well, this fine Thursday afternoon ?! Of course - as some of you, are way over to the East & some of you, are way over to the West - it could be anytime, where you are standing !!
Here, in England - it's about 4pm. I've taken my afternoon pills & potions... and, I hope, in a short while, I will be either high as a kite, or - at the very least - out of pain, for a few hours or so !! It's been a long day & my ol' bones are starting to feel their age !!
Nevermind - as I type, B... My Wife & Dearest Friend..... is upstairs, trying to sort out a pattern, for some "new" Christmas craft type of thing. Ooop's - I lie... she has now joined me, here in our living room !! Nope - she has gone, again - off on some kind of thread hunt !! All a bit weird, really !!
She has poured me, some more morphine... bless her cotton socks !! I will be away, with the clouds, in a while !! Oh well.... it's been a hectic kind of day, as I said, above, a long one, that's for sure !!
I had to get, down to the Dr's - for around 10... sooooo, no staying in bed, this morning, to sleep off my morning potions !! Then, it was back here, to wait for a package to come - which turned out, to be a bit of a pain !!
I thought the package, was coming by courier & would need signing for...... hence, we headed back to the house - but, it came with the postman & he just stuck it thru' the door !! Had we known, that Mr Postie was bringing it, we could of headed, into town earlier, instead of hanging around the house !!
Town was kind of hectic... lots of people around. We did think, that one of the schools was closed, because there seemed to be a shed load of younger kids about. Mind you - it wasn't them, that I had to fight my ways thru' !!
I use a wheelchair - not motorized, I must point out.... so, we were heading thru' the main street & these two older ladies were in front of me - no matter which way, that I tried to pass them, they moved over to block my passage !! It was like, that they had eyes, in the back of their heads - bless them !!
I wanted to clip their heels, with my wheels... to show them, that I was behind them, but B pushed me around them - by putting on a quick burst of speed !! Next time, ladies... next time !!
I have to be honest - I was glad, to get back to the car... I was getting too cold !! It was my fault, I should of taken a coat... but, I thought I would manage with-out !! My bad... I'll wrap up next time..... As it was, when B went into the supermarket, I kept the engine running, to warm myself up !!
As for getting home... by the time, that we got here, I was half asleep & half awake !! Another 30 minutes & I would of been out for the count, I need my beauty sleep, in the mornings !!
Tomorrow, will be, just as bad - as I have to go for a dressings change, just after 9 !! Oh well - life goes on.... besides, it must be a Thursday... "I could never get the hang of Thursdays !!"
As for the music of the moment - we're listening happily, to Gov't Mule's 'Dark Side Of The Mule' 3 Cd set !! It was recorded, back in 2008 - and, if you get the chance, give it a listen... well good !! The tracks are:

It was, so the booklet says, recorded at The Orpheum Theatre - in Boston, on October 31st 2008. If you were at the show - I really do envy you !! The Cd's are good - the DVD, not so much.... but, what the heck... it's all music !!
I will have to make some more room, on the Mini Egg - to fit everything in !! With the Allman Brother's shows, coming (soon - I hope) + the other Cd's that I have picked up, over recent weeks... well, I will have to make, quite a bit more space !!
I see on the news, that Leon Brittan has died... Ho-hum. I think he was 75 - and, I thought he had died, some years back.... oh well.....
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day... very few !! I have to do a couple of odd jobs, but - apart from that, it's going to be a very quiet night, if all goes well, that is !! A few things to do & then off to bed, I guess !!
Last night, the M & M's came over... just for a little while - it's always great, to have all of the guys home - even if one of them, prefers to stay away !! That's life, I guess.... nevermind !!

'We All Need Some Light' Ho-hum....
Greetings World's !!
It's a really warm, bright day - here in the South-West corner of England...... mind you, looking at the news & the weather maps - it's not so good, in other parts !! Oh well, best be happy, for what we've got....
As I type, I'm home alone !! B was here, but she has had the chance, to go to a kind of crafting get together. To explain...
We went to one of B's favourite shops, for picking things up - to use, when she does her various bits & bobs - and there was a lady there....... well, I guess she was pretending to be a customer !!
In reality, I think, she was just loitering about - speaking to people, like B - who do a bit a card making & crafty type things...... then, after a few minutes, she invited B to join her get together's.
To be very honest - she was a little bit too freaky, even for me.... but, today, B has gone out & is going to see how things go, once she gets there !! If nothing else - it's just around the corner, from the M & M's house... so, if it all falls flat - she will head there, to see if anyone is
home !!
We did go into town, a little earlier - to get some stuff from the supermarket. It's really amazing how our food bill has dropped, since the guys all moved out !! Nevermind - they're all welcome back, at any time..... bless them all !!
I'm not sure, if I posted anything, yesterday ?! I was really feeling like crap - so, I spent the biggest part of the day, tucked up, warm in bed !! B has arranged, for me to go to the Dr's - tomorrow morning.... just to a bit of a check up, maybe alter a few of my pills & potions - hopefully, I'll pick up... in a day or two, we'll see how things go, I guess !!
Once, I finish writing these few words, I'm going to head back - to the bed & hopefully, go back to sleep !! I'll see how I get on.......

Right - that's about it, for today........ I was hoping, to fill these words, with a fantastic, few words, about the latest Gov't Mule album - but, I won't get that, until at least tomorrow.... so, you will have to wait, at least, 24 hours, for that !!

Eric Burdon... great stuff !!
Well "Hello" World's !!
I've just realized, it's been 3 days - since I last put finger, to keypad !! That's kind of tardy, on my part.... so, I'm sorry for the delay !! I have no real excuse, for not writing anything.... just been a little poorly & - to be very honest - I've not felt like sitting at the keyboard, let alone writing stuff down !!
Anyhoo - today is a Tuesday.... I've not been outside, as yet - but, we did have a little bit of snow & that's still on the pavements. It's not much - just enough, to let you know it's there. If B hadn't told me, about it - I wouldn't of noticed !! Oh well....
Talking of my Wife & Dearest Friend...... she is upstairs, doing a small bit of housework. Just before I sat down, I did the few dishes, that needed washing & she did the bit of housework, here in our living room. Now, we've moved around a bit - she is upstairs & I'm here !!
I've been trying to think, why I didn't write anything - yesterday - and, for the life of me, I can't remember exactly where we went, or what we did !! That's a lie...
We did go, into town & picked up some craft stuff, that B wanted, before going into the supermarket. Being a Monday, we needed a few odds & ends.... milk & stuff. I always like Mondays - a few of the shops, have new Cd's, on their shelves. Unfortunately - unless you like 'X Factor' or boy bands, there was next to nothing, that I was interested in !!
However, I did pick up 6 Cd's.... mostly stuff by Eric Burdon..... 4 Cd's + 2 Cd's by Cream. The latter 2, are 'Fresh Cream' & 'Disraeli Gears'. I had both of them, on Lp - so, now I have them on Cd.... it all adds to the collection !!

In a very short while - I'm expecting a 'phone call, from our Dr..... so, I best close this down & get ready, to speak to him. As I said, above.. I've been feeling poorly & his call might, just might, lead to some kind of result !! I won't hold my breath - but, you never know !!

16) Pretty Thing
Ok - sooooo, I went a little over the top, by getting 4 Cd's.... but, they're all pretty good & contain some great tracks !! Just picking one - 'Inside Looking Out' - has been covered, over the years.... most noticeably by Grand Funk Railroad !! Like I say - great tracks & - besides - it's good to hear Mr Burdon, at his best !!
If you get a chance - check him out.... you will not be too disappointed..... moving on....
In a very short while - I'm expecting a 'phone call, from our Dr..... so, I best close this down & get ready, to speak to him. As I said, above.. I've been feeling poorly & his call might, just might, lead to some kind of result !! I won't hold my breath - but, you never know !!

A bit of a knock... ho-hum..
Greeting'#s World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you, this fine day ?! Here in the wilds of England, it's not too bad... a little on the cold side, but... thankfully, it's dry !! Nothing worse, than being cold & wet !!
B & I went, into the supermarket - in town - this morning... and, to be honest, it wasn't too bad. Of course - the actual supermarket was heaving with people - something I could honestly do with-out !! I find it very hard, to be in crowds... it, kind of, gets to me !!
Oh well.... today, B just put a basket, on my lap & pushed me around the place. Of course - you still have the person, who decides to stop & block the alley's, while having a talk to someone.... forgetting there are other people, trying to get thru' - to do, their bit of shopping !! At least, by me being in my wheelchair - I can (loudly) asked them, to get out of the ways !! Nevermind....
As I type, my Wife & Dearest Friend, is over to my left, doing some stitching... Christmas stocking sort of things. They look pretty good !! I think B is hoping to do, enough.... not just stockings - to have a stall, at the village Christmas market. It's not for another 11 months - so, plenty of time !!
Lots of people, who have seen seen B's cross-stitch & crafty stuff, have said - "you should sell these" - sooooo, this year, I think she is going to give it a try !! Hopefully, the end result, will be as rewarding, as the actual time & effort, that she puts into each item !! Time will tell, I guess...
As for the rest of the family, well, the cats are here about's, someplace !! Smudge, our oldest, is sat on the couch - watching our every move... incase we give him a treat, or make a bit more fuss of him !! He's a real softy...
As for the human members of our little tribe - we've not seen any of them, for a couple of days. ME came around, a few days back - but, apart from that...... as long as they're all happy, that's the main thing !!
As for your's truly - yesterday..... well, to explain !!
As long time readers will know - yesterday, I had to go down to the hospital, in Exeter - for a pre-op..... which will lead on, to my next surgery, on February 9th. It wasn't the nicest day, for making the 100 mile round trip - but, we got to the hospital, in good time & headed to where things were going to happen.
The nurse, that I usually see, the lovely Jo, has moved onto another job... so, I saw someone new. It was fine - after having 3 operations, there, already - the nurse had all of my notes, on hand... so, it was just a case of going thru' the usual "Yes" & "No" questions & having my weight checked.... no biggy. Infact, we were in & out, inside the hour mark - so, it all went pretty well..... but, there was a bit of a knock, which I hadn't really expected.
The last time, that I saw the Plastic Surgeon - he said, as the last 3 surgeries had failed - he would keep me in "a little longer". Now then, at the time - we didn't know, much more than that.... after all, just how much "longer" is "longer" ?!
It turns out - from what the nurse said yesterday - I might be stuck there, for up to a month, give or take !! I wasn't expecting that !! In the past - I've only been, in that hospital (at most) for a week.... so, to be told, it might be a month, before being let out, next time.... well, neither of us, were expecting it to be that long !!
My personal record - my longest stay, in any hospital, has been 3 months + 1 day..... sooooo, I can live with being stuck there, for a month, but - it's not me that I have on my mind - it's B !!
After all, I have the easy part - I go in, get knocked out, have the surgery & then rest up... until I'm allowed home. B, on the other hand - well, this time around, she will be home alone !!
In the past, at least one of the kids, would be here, to give her some company & support..... not this time tho' !! I really hope, that I can get home, before the month is out - but, I'll stay there, as long as I have to & get myself, into a fighting fit, kind of ways..... I really want this surgery, to be the last !!
So far, I have had 9 - since May 2013....... I really want this one - number 10 - to be the last one !! My back & my brain, can't handle much more - I really have had enough now !!
Oh well... the music of the moment !!
I'm actually listening to Gov't Mule's version of 'Soulshine'. I'm not really sure, which album it's on - mainly as I'm playing stuff, at random !! I'm just having a bit of fun, really.... so far, I've had Dream Theater, Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Rainbow, Transatlantic etc etc !! As I say, just a bit of fun......
At some point, I'll put all of the latest stuff - new Cd's - onto the Mini Egg.... ready for my "holiday". I know, it's a month away from home.... but, with 30,000+ tracks, on the Egg... well, I'll have lots to listen to !!
If all goes to plan, I will have - at least - 11 of the 2014 Allman Brothers concerts - which, I will (hopefully) have time to put onto the egg. I'm really looking forward, to all of them - but, the very last one, in particular - as it's on 4 Cd's & not the usual 2 or 3 !! That's going to be one heck of a concert !!
Right, I best think of closing this down & getting on with some other stuff..... I need to put some Cd's onto the computer & also, I have a new film.... thanks to the M & M's... to watch. I'm not really sure, in which order, I'm going to do things - but, it's all going to get done, at some point !!
For now, as always - I thank you, for taking the time to read my words... either by design, or by accident !! I will be back, probably in a day or two... until next time...

Linkin' Park - Queensryche & Dream Theater
Greetings World's !!
In our bit of the Universe, it's raining one second - then brilliant Sunshine, the next.... all very weird !! B & I went into town, a while back & - with lots of luck - we managed to get in & out, without getting wet, at all !! It was really brilliant, considering.... oh well !!
As I type, B is sat over to my left, doing a bit of stitching.... some kind of craft thingy, that she has set her mind on doing. To be honest, it's really good - I'm amazed at the stuff she does !! She just sits there & away she goes.... stitch after stitch... it all comes together, well good....
On our trip, into town, we dropped some stuff off, at the M & M's house.... just some post, for ME. As yet, not everybody has clicked, that our Daughter has moved out.... oh, about 8 months ago !! I guess it all takes time... to sort everything out - besides, it's not like we have to go miles, out of our ways, to drop stuff off.
I did like going, today.... Bruce, the M & M's kitten, was looking out the window, at us - he is getting sooooo much bigger !! It seems like, everytime we see him, he is bigger & bigger.... a really big, "man eater" of a cat !! One day, we must do a kind of play date, with Archie & Bruce - I'm not sure who would come off best, if they got into a bit of a fight, even if it was only playing around. I guess we will never know ?! It's a shame really.... I think they would enjoy getting together.
Anyways - after going around, to their house... we headed towards the actual town, itself - not the biggest place on Earth, but.... we had to go into the bank. Not a lot of fun, today at least - nevermind, it's all sorted now.
I just wish, when you set up, a direct debit, the cash would come out, of the bank, on the same date, each month... at least, that ways, I could make sure the cash, was in the a/c... when it was needed !! It's all sorted now..... I'm glad to say. Maybe, next month, I'll get it right - so we don't have to rush around.
B just gone to fetch her mobile (the Devil's spawn) - incase ME called.... I told her, to text ME - to say how under fed Bruce looked !! Only joking - he really is a big boy !! I just wanted to make them laugh !!
Talking of laughing..... no, that's the wrong word - I don't know, which word to use !! Anyhoo - to explain, or try to....
When we came home, the neighbour across from us, called B over..... we had a parcel delivered, while we were out & she had taken it in for us - that's what made me laugh, smile - go "Wow"... I'm not really sure what word to use.... to explain...
The parcel came from Lady V & Sir J - over in Atlanta - and it contained, not only a book & DVD.... but, a brilliant little DVD player, on which to play "Region 1" DVD's !! A fantastic gift & - if you're reading my words guys - one that I thank you for, in more ways than I can express, in these words of mine !! It's a brilliant gift.... one which I will enjoy, over the coming years !! Thank's guys !!
To explain, the "Region 1" thing.... if you do not already know.
"Region 1" DVD's play in the USA... and "Region 2" DVD's play in Europe..... so, any of each, need their own region players, in order to watch them. It's kind of complicated - but...... I thank you guys, it's a brilliant gift !! I will no doubt go on, about the book, in later posts.... it's well good !!
As for the music of the moment... well, we have the TV on, as I type.... a DVD of 'NCIS'. If you've read my words, over the years, you will know that it's one of our favourite American shows - one we can watch, over & over !! We're picking episodes, at random.... just a few of the better ones, which is hard - given they're all good !!
I'm picking episodes, from different seasons, just to keep B guessing..... just a bit of fun really...
But - going back to music... I've finished doing the "mix tape" Cd's.... started a while back. All in all, it worked out to 13 discs, in total.... lots of music & I'm going to enjoy listening to them - once I've put them onto the iPod !! Hopefully, I'll get that all done, in the coming few days.... it might take a while, but... I'll enjoy doing it.
I'll have to take a bunch of stuff, off the Mini Egg - before I can put anything else on it... what, I don't know.... but, I'm sure I can dump some stuff !! It's going to be hard, deciding which albums, to erase... but, I'll sort it all out.... given enough time !!
I got around, to the last Cd - last night... with some Linkin' Park, Queensryche & Dream Theater... only, in my little mind, could sooooo much music, get mixed in together.... Ho-hum !!
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day....
I'm not 100% sure ?! I hope, if all goes well - to have a quiet, restful kind of evening & a good nights sleep. Last night was Ok - except, like a plank, I fell out of bed & hit the floor, with a pretty hard thump !! Not the best thing to do - but, it happens from time, to time.... nevermind, the bumps will go down, over time !!
Right, I must be on my ways....
So, for now - I thank you all, for logging in & reading my words..... tomorrow, I have to go down to the hospital - again - so, I probably won't get around to writing, until the weekend.... it's all good... until next time..

Just when I thought it was safe....
Greeting's World's !!
How has your day been ?! So far - mine hasn't been too special.... I'm having a bit of a crap day, myself.. but, that's no biggy...
As I type, I'm home alone - B has just gone, into town, to put some cash into our bank.... I thought things were going to be "Ok" - but, out of the blue, a standing order/direct debit thing has sprung itself on us, out of the blue - and that's meant we have to put some more cash, into the account !! Bummer !!
So..... I'm here, on my ownsome - waiting for a 'phone call, from our Dr's surgery...... I've left a message, for our nurse, to call me back. To explain......
I went down. to the Dr's - this morning - to have my dressings changed - and that went, as well as can be expected really. A bit of pain & discomfort - but, it's not anything I've not had before !! But - there has been a complication.... with a sample, that was sent off, to the hospital.
I was sat here, quietly watching TV.... and the hospital 'phoned - I have to do a whole new sample & get it, to the hospital ASAP !! Honestly - it's been horrid enough, doing it once... but, this makes it the 3rd time, that I've had to go thru' all of this !! It's a real "bummer" - in more ways than one !!
2 hours later.....
Ok - I've had a break... we had a visit, from two of Missionaries...... both Australian !! These guys, give up 2 years of their lives, to bring the Word Of God, to people & they spend their time with us !! Oh well... it was nice of them, to stop by !!
I don't know, quite what they thought of the music... Linkin' Park's 'A Thousand Suns' !! I was putting it, on my latest "mix tape" Cd... oh well, I turned it down... sooooo, it was no biggy !!
It's been a very hectic couple of days... as far as visitors & Church !!
As explained, yesterday.. a friend visited, from the Jehovah Witnesses & later, last evening, we had a visit from our Bishop. We have been invited back, to The Church - in Taunton.... and, I have had - what to me - amounts to an apology, over the events of the last 18 months or so !! That's good enough for me.... so, we will attend services, as & when I am fit enough & re-join the flock, kind of thing !!
I'm not going to bore you all, with the full blown details, of what we spoke about.... but, I'm happy with the outcome - as long as it never happens again !! Moving on....
As mentioned - I was listening to some Linkin' Park... I'm now onto a bit of Dream Theater... tracks from their last album.... all of which are going onto the "mix" Cd's...... great stuff... I think I have, more or less, finished now...... maybe just one more disc & it will be complete..
It's full of the tracks, that I'm playing - here - at home... and that I want to take, into the hospital, with me, on my Mini Egg iPod thingy !! I have a few cover versions, that I want to use... then, they will have all been recorded !!

A fake fire & a bit of stargazer.....
Greetings World's !!
How is your bit of the Universe treating you, this fine - very strange
day ?! I say strange - mainly as, one minute the Sun is bright & warm... then, at once, the clouds roll in & it pours with rain !! All very weird.... oh well..
As I type - B... My Wife & Dearest Friend... is here, about - in the house, doing this, that & the other. Mostly, a bit of cleaning & housework sort of things... trying to get on top of everything. Even, with just the two of us, living here - things still get dusty & what have you....
I have just been watching, a bit of the BBC's news coverage, of the funerals.... those various people, who were killed, in Paris. The ones, in Israel, were probably the worst !! Bless them all - I hope your families all fine peace.
Talking of peace - we're having a bit of a Church Day - here, in the homestead.... A friend, from the Jehovah Witness's has just left, after a quick visit. He's a really great guy - who I met, when he was a lecturer at the college, which I attended... he comes around, from time to time.
Then - later this evening, our Bishop is coming over.... if he finds us !! He has been here before - but, yesterday... well, he asked for our "post code" - I guess, so that he could fit it into his Sat-Nav thingy. I remember the days, when we used to look at maps !!
Talking of which - I dug out the 1809 map, that we have... to show our friend, this morning. He was quite amazed by it !! To be honest - it really is a good talking point, type of thing... showing where the old roads were, as to where they are now !!
I also dug out, my poster sized picture, that B had done for me, for a Christmas pressy !! Now then - that is a talking point, if ever there was one !! Our friend.... well, he was gobsmacked by the thing - it's that good !!
I wasn't going to dig it - but, he suggested that I got the map framed & - as we were talking of frames - I said I was looking for one, to put the poster in...... so, it kind of went from there !! He really was amazed by the picture !!
Come on - it's not everybody, that has a picture of their back, showing a gaping hole, right thru' to the spine !! Mind you - it's not everybody who would want one !! Nevermind - our friend was really taken with it.... wanting to know, what the actual dimensions were & everything !! Now - as I said above....that really is a talking point !!
As I type - over to my left... the TV is playing, showing a DVD of 'Andromeda' - the old Sci-fi TV show, from quite a few years back.
When it was on, before - for several reason, I never got around to watching it - last night tho'... they started show the thing, from season one, episode one... sooooo - I stuck a DVD in, in the hope of recording the thing... it seems to have worked !!
I'll try & record it - all the ways thru'..... I doubt if I'll get every episode, but I can try !! If nothing else, I can watch it, after I come out of hospital - whenever that might be !! Hopefully, not too long, after I go in.... only 3 weeks & 6 days left to wait !! Ho-hum........
On Friday, this week - I have to go back down, to Exeter, for my pre-op check over.... Hopefully, I will meet up with the brilliant Jo - the nurse who has done all of my pre-op's over the last 12 months or so.... she really is lovely !!
Last time around - we were hopefully saying "3rd time lucky"....... I'm not sure, really, what we'll say this time.... maybe "4th times a treat" or something along those lines !! I will let you know, just how things go.... I'm not convince, that the surgery will actually go ahead..... it's just a "gut feeling" that I have !! Time will tell, I guess !!
As for the music of the moment... I'm listening to Dream Theater's version of 'Soul Sacrifice' - taken from their 'Black Clouds & Silver Linings' album. Actually, it's from the bonus disc, that came with it... it's not on the original Cd. Whatever - it's well good..... and, it fits nicely, on my latest "mix tape" Cd's...... I've done, about 9 or 10 Cd's... so far -. all of which have come out, really well - I think so, at least !!
I really have put a load of tracks, on the things - from the Allman's - thru' Dream Theater, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Transatlantic... and onwards, and onwards !! Only in my brain, could I mix stuff up, like this & get away with enjoying it... over & over again !! It has a working name of 'Bust A Gut 4'.... I'll see what it lands up being called...
As mentioned, some time ago - I put some extra speakers, thru' the amp.... wired into the various outputs.... anyhoo - by putting the amp, into a different function, I can blast stuff thru' the extra speakers, at quite a bit more volume.... so, if you live here, in our village & you're wondering, where the music is coming from - it's here, it really is here !!
I've not done it - added the speakers, for sound quality.... just the extra volume, it allows me to listen to stuff..... it's all good, it really is.... it fills the whole room up !! Lots of noise !!
A question, to all of you, reading my words - what would be your favourite "single" - those old things, that we used to buy - to listen to, either at home, or on the radio ?! I often wonder, just what you guys might be listening to... let me know, via the comments section... !!
I ask, mainly because 'Tin Soldier' - the old Small Faces track, is playing as I type..... Ok, it's a cover version, done by Transatlantic.... but, it put the memory & question, into my head !!
Ok - my plans, for the rest of the day.... well, I'm not really sure. I want to do, just a bit more recording - on the "mix tape" - but, also... I want to rest up a bit, for tonight's visit. I'm not really sure, just how long The Bishop intends to stay, but......... I don't want to be too knackered & fall asleep, while he's here !!
Oh - I just thought of something....
I put some coal, on the fire & remembered our friend, this morning. He honestly thought, that our fire was artificial !! He thought it was a gas thingy, with fake logs & stuff.... it wasn't until he put his hand over it, that he realized his mistake !! See - real fires can fool people, just as much as fake ones !!
Right - I will be on my ways.... things to do & stuff - nothing exciting, but.. it will keep me happy, for the rest of the afternoon.

Transatlantic... 2001... Ho-hum...
Hi again World's !!
I think it's a Monday, here in England's South-West corner...... it's really wet & nasty, out side !! B & I went into town, a short while ago - not really town, just the outskirts..... there is a shop there, which B likes a lot & we went in, to buy a picture frame thingy.
She did a "cross stitch" a while back & she has been looking for a frame, to hang it, on the wall - or someplace. This morning, she saw one - in the shop - but, waited - until she came home !! I don't know why.... but, as it turned out - we went back & picked it up.... oh well !!
As I type - B is here, someplace.... I was going to say, sat on the couch, over to my left - but, she has gone upstairs, to pick something up. Nevermind - we're here, together... with the fire, burning nicely, to warm the place up. I can't say it's overly cold - but, it does keep the damp out !!
Apart, from the trip - above - I've been home alone, for most for the day.... B went into town, earlier, to see ME & to do a bit of shopping.
The M & M's were here, yesterday - and stayed for supper... while B was out, I did the washing up & stuff.. Being here, on my own - I had the music, way up loud !! If my amp went up to 11 - I would of been.... oh, I don't know - somewhere's around the 13 mark !!
At the moment, we're watching 'True Grit' on a DVD... the newer version, with Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and who ever. We both like this version, of the movie - tho' we have the John Wayne version, as well.... we like the first one, but... this new one, to us, is better !!
As for the music... I was listening to Transatlantic's 'Live In Europe' DVD. It's really good....

It's from a concert, in Tilburg on November 12th 2001...... quite a while ago now !! While it was playing, I made an audio transfer, over to Cd - as mentioned, many times, I prefer to listen to concerts, rather than watch them.... this DVD is my latest bit of an effort !!
The bonus disc, has a version of Pink Floyd's 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' - they do it, really well..... sooooo, if you get chance, to hear or see, the DVD... give it a listen, you will not be too disappointed !!
It turned out, to be a 3 Cd transfer - so, that will give me something to listen to, when I'm stuck back in the hospital...... which, we think, will be 4 weeks, from today. That's going to be a bit of "fun" - if nothing else !!
I had my dressings change, just after lunch.... it went Ok - well, as "Ok" as it could, I guess !! In theory, I only have to go back, about 12 more times.... then, hopefully - if the next surgery works - it will be all over & done with !! I won't hope my breath - but, it might work out !! I can only hope... I guess !!
Looking ahead, to tomorrow evening - after 18+ months... our Bishop is coming to visit !! He 'phoned, a short while ago - to just confirm the time & stuff. He hopes, to be here, around 6.30 - so, that will be an interesting few hours.
In many ways, I'm looking forward, to seeing him... if nothing else, to put my side of the story across !! I will, no doubt, let you know how things go - as I say, it will be interesting !!
Looking back - to yesterday - I hope everybody saw the crowds, out in force... in Paris ?! I really hope - those that, who in their own ways - believe, that by killing people, they will get to the Heaven, that they believe in...... saw everything ?! The Lord only knows, what is going thru' their minds...... I certainly don't have a clue !!
Right, my plans, for the rest of the day.... well, the rest of the evening - I don't really know, what I'm going to do !! I have a bit of this, that & the other, to do - but.... nothing too special !!

Allman Brothers 'Woodstock 94'
Greetings World's !!
It's a bright & cheerful Friday, here in England.... the Sun is bright, there is a small amount of cloud cover & the predicted storms, from yesterday - well, they have either missed us. or have yet to arrive !!
As I type - B is upstairs, doing a bit of housework... I think, in our room. A short while ago, I helped her change the bedding.... so, I expect, she is probably doing a bit of dusting & stuff..... it's amazing, just how much dust, just hangs in the air, when I take the sheets off.... oh well !!
I've done the dishes & we have made an attempt, to clean some of the furniture..... from what I can see, the little bit, that we did, has come out pretty good !!
We're using a "new" cleaner - as a bit of an experiment. It's been advertised, on TV, as some kind of of wonder product... so, we bought some, yesterday - it looks like it's worked really well !! B has just come down.... and, we're going to have a go, at some of the other furniture, in a short while.
I've suggested, that - as we have a 2 seat couch thingy.... that we clean, just one side of it - one cushion, type of stuff - in order, to get a kind of, before & after, sort of thing. That would be interesting...... it's going to keep me off the streets, for a while, at least !!
I mentioned the TV... Well, as I type, it's on the news stations, showing shots of, where they believe, the 2 gunmen, from Paris, are holed up. It seems, that the 2 of them, are some form of printing place.... I cannot imagine, that are going to give themselves up, to the police !! If I see anything - I will let you know !!
Of course, if the 2 guys, are watching their TV's - they will know, more or less, what surrounds them.... sooooo, maybe they will give up - I can't see that happening tho' - they will probably become Martyrs, to whatever they believe in !!
B is beside, cleaning one half, of the couch, it's going to be interesting !!
Right, going back, to a few hours ago.... it was dressings change time, again !! I'm sorry, if you any shouts of pain... it wasn't me !! The wound had started to hurt, quite badly, over night - so, I was pretty glad, to have fresh dressings, put over the thing !! Besides that - the nurse, who works on Fridays, is really good.... making sure, everything goes well......
But - it wouldn't be me & my blog, if I didn't have, at least one moan, about something !! Today - well, is no different.... it really has been, a bit, of a pain....
I mentioned, that - at the end of December - I had to go, into the hospital, to see one of my Consultants. Well - that visit went really well.... except - the local surgery, has let me down... once again !! To explain - with out being too gory...
Because of my ongoing health problems - the Consultant wanted a sample - I won't give you all the details, of what is involved.... needless to say, it's not the nicest thing, in the World, to have to do !!
Anyhoo - I sorted it out and took, said sample, to the local surgery.... from there, it was meant, to be sent on, to the hospital. Guess what - it never made it - bummer !! Sooooo - a short while ago, the hospital 'phoned me.... mainly too ask if I had actually sorted out the sample & if so, where was it !!
Now then, because I have had problems, with the surgery before - the manager, a lovely lady..... has asked me, to call her, if ever something (like this) happens.... if ever, something, goes wrong... so, I gave her a call & now - well, I have to do it all over again !! The sample is "missing in action" - so to speak !!
The practice nurse - who did my dressings, this morning, has called - everything will be left out, for me, when I go back down, to the surgery...... oh well, that's life !! I still think it's a bummer !! Once again - the local practice, to my mind, has messed up !! Ok - that's today's moan, out of the way !!
Going back, to Monday.... I think.... I saw, a guy, from Church - who basically "out ranks" our Bishop, who - if you've read my words, before, you will know.... well, go back 18+ months & tread my blog, from around that time, to find out more...
Anyways - I told the guy, on Monday, that I would like a meeting, with The Bishop. As I told him - I had a "falling out - big time" - (with The Bishop) & I hadn't seen him, since May 2013 !!
Then - on Tuesday evening - our 'phone rang.... guess what... it was The Bishop !! I'm guessing, his "boss" - or, as I wrote before, the guy... who is further "up the pecking order" - well, I'm guessing he called The Bishop... from there, The Bishop called us !!
He is coming over, to see us, next Tuesday evening.... that's going to be an interesting get together & that's a fact !! I hope, that I will get to say my piece... but, as I've not seen, or spoken to, the man..... well - I will let you know, just how things go !!
If things had been different, I would of written, about his call - on Wednesday.... but, if you've read my post, from yesterday, you will know, why I didn't write anything !! Moving on, to the music of the moment !!
I'm actually listening to a copy, of The Allman Brother's set, recorded at 'Woodstock '94'.... I've not played it, for a while - but... the tracks are:

Last night, as I'm a complete idiot, as everyone know - I ordered the first batch, of the bands 2014 shows !! In total - I think - I ordered 11 shows.... from March, thru' to their last shows, of the year, in October.... I say, last shows of the year... but, it's more likely, their last shows ever !!
The plan, if all works out - I'm having the complete box set.... all of the bands 2014 shows..... but, due to the cost - I want to spread it out, over a few weeks, to make sure all goes well, with the bank account & stuff. It would be a real bummer, if & when the box sets are ready, it turned out, that I couldn't afford to pay for the thing !!
Sooooo - by buying a few at a time, I can spread the cost.... hopefully, it will all work out ?! As I've said, many times... time will tell !! Great stuff !!
Staying with music...
I've learnt my lesson, as far as labeling stuff !! To explain..
A short while back, I did a Cd...... for my own use... of Dream Theater's 'Live In Tokyo' DVD soundtrack. As always - I listen to music, more than I watch DVD's of concerts & stuff... so, that's why I did the s/t. Anyhoo...
As mentioned, above, I am a complete idiot.... and, for whatever reason, I couldn't find the blooming Cd !! I simply lost it, in with all of the other stuff, that I have around me - I really did !!
But, after several days of searching.... I actually found, what I was looking for, last night !! "Yippeeee !!". I had messed up, big time - by putting the Cd, in with some other stuff.... so, instead of there being, just the one Cd, for me to find - I was over looking the fact, that it was looking right at me, even if it was mixed in with other stuff !!

It's a bright & cheerful Friday, here in England.... the Sun is bright, there is a small amount of cloud cover & the predicted storms, from yesterday - well, they have either missed us. or have yet to arrive !!
As I type - B is upstairs, doing a bit of housework... I think, in our room. A short while ago, I helped her change the bedding.... so, I expect, she is probably doing a bit of dusting & stuff..... it's amazing, just how much dust, just hangs in the air, when I take the sheets off.... oh well !!
I've done the dishes & we have made an attempt, to clean some of the furniture..... from what I can see, the little bit, that we did, has come out pretty good !!
We're using a "new" cleaner - as a bit of an experiment. It's been advertised, on TV, as some kind of of wonder product... so, we bought some, yesterday - it looks like it's worked really well !! B has just come down.... and, we're going to have a go, at some of the other furniture, in a short while.
I've suggested, that - as we have a 2 seat couch thingy.... that we clean, just one side of it - one cushion, type of stuff - in order, to get a kind of, before & after, sort of thing. That would be interesting...... it's going to keep me off the streets, for a while, at least !!
I mentioned the TV... Well, as I type, it's on the news stations, showing shots of, where they believe, the 2 gunmen, from Paris, are holed up. It seems, that the 2 of them, are some form of printing place.... I cannot imagine, that are going to give themselves up, to the police !! If I see anything - I will let you know !!
Of course, if the 2 guys, are watching their TV's - they will know, more or less, what surrounds them.... sooooo, maybe they will give up - I can't see that happening tho' - they will probably become Martyrs, to whatever they believe in !!
B is beside, cleaning one half, of the couch, it's going to be interesting !!
Right, going back, to a few hours ago.... it was dressings change time, again !! I'm sorry, if you any shouts of pain... it wasn't me !! The wound had started to hurt, quite badly, over night - so, I was pretty glad, to have fresh dressings, put over the thing !! Besides that - the nurse, who works on Fridays, is really good.... making sure, everything goes well......
But - it wouldn't be me & my blog, if I didn't have, at least one moan, about something !! Today - well, is no different.... it really has been, a bit, of a pain....
I mentioned, that - at the end of December - I had to go, into the hospital, to see one of my Consultants. Well - that visit went really well.... except - the local surgery, has let me down... once again !! To explain - with out being too gory...
Because of my ongoing health problems - the Consultant wanted a sample - I won't give you all the details, of what is involved.... needless to say, it's not the nicest thing, in the World, to have to do !!
Anyhoo - I sorted it out and took, said sample, to the local surgery.... from there, it was meant, to be sent on, to the hospital. Guess what - it never made it - bummer !! Sooooo - a short while ago, the hospital 'phoned me.... mainly too ask if I had actually sorted out the sample & if so, where was it !!
Now then, because I have had problems, with the surgery before - the manager, a lovely lady..... has asked me, to call her, if ever something (like this) happens.... if ever, something, goes wrong... so, I gave her a call & now - well, I have to do it all over again !! The sample is "missing in action" - so to speak !!
The practice nurse - who did my dressings, this morning, has called - everything will be left out, for me, when I go back down, to the surgery...... oh well, that's life !! I still think it's a bummer !! Once again - the local practice, to my mind, has messed up !! Ok - that's today's moan, out of the way !!
Going back, to Monday.... I think.... I saw, a guy, from Church - who basically "out ranks" our Bishop, who - if you've read my words, before, you will know.... well, go back 18+ months & tread my blog, from around that time, to find out more...
Anyways - I told the guy, on Monday, that I would like a meeting, with The Bishop. As I told him - I had a "falling out - big time" - (with The Bishop) & I hadn't seen him, since May 2013 !!
Then - on Tuesday evening - our 'phone rang.... guess what... it was The Bishop !! I'm guessing, his "boss" - or, as I wrote before, the guy... who is further "up the pecking order" - well, I'm guessing he called The Bishop... from there, The Bishop called us !!
He is coming over, to see us, next Tuesday evening.... that's going to be an interesting get together & that's a fact !! I hope, that I will get to say my piece... but, as I've not seen, or spoken to, the man..... well - I will let you know, just how things go !!
If things had been different, I would of written, about his call - on Wednesday.... but, if you've read my post, from yesterday, you will know, why I didn't write anything !! Moving on, to the music of the moment !!
I'm actually listening to a copy, of The Allman Brother's set, recorded at 'Woodstock '94'.... I've not played it, for a while - but... the tracks are:

I know, it's the complete set.... but, I'm happy with this part of it !!
Last night, as I'm a complete idiot, as everyone know - I ordered the first batch, of the bands 2014 shows !! In total - I think - I ordered 11 shows.... from March, thru' to their last shows, of the year, in October.... I say, last shows of the year... but, it's more likely, their last shows ever !!
The plan, if all works out - I'm having the complete box set.... all of the bands 2014 shows..... but, due to the cost - I want to spread it out, over a few weeks, to make sure all goes well, with the bank account & stuff. It would be a real bummer, if & when the box sets are ready, it turned out, that I couldn't afford to pay for the thing !!
Sooooo - by buying a few at a time, I can spread the cost.... hopefully, it will all work out ?! As I've said, many times... time will tell !! Great stuff !!
Staying with music...
I've learnt my lesson, as far as labeling stuff !! To explain..
A short while back, I did a Cd...... for my own use... of Dream Theater's 'Live In Tokyo' DVD soundtrack. As always - I listen to music, more than I watch DVD's of concerts & stuff... so, that's why I did the s/t. Anyhoo...
As mentioned, above, I am a complete idiot.... and, for whatever reason, I couldn't find the blooming Cd !! I simply lost it, in with all of the other stuff, that I have around me - I really did !!
But, after several days of searching.... I actually found, what I was looking for, last night !! "Yippeeee !!". I had messed up, big time - by putting the Cd, in with some other stuff.... so, instead of there being, just the one Cd, for me to find - I was over looking the fact, that it was looking right at me, even if it was mixed in with other stuff !!
Oh well - lesson leaned !! In future, even if it's just a quick sticky note thingy... I will label stuff, as I actually do them !!

In our thoughts & prayers, Charlie....
Hi World's...
I decided to skip writing, yesterday...... there were a couple of reason....
One - our beautiful & special Daughter - ME - came over, in the afternoon, for a few hours & I wanted to spend some time, with her & B... My Wife & Dearest Friend...
Two - if I had written, anything, yesterday... I probably would of lost my blogger account... mainly - after seeing the News & the unfolding events, in Paris, I would of written, exactly, what I was thinking & - by now - I would of been branded a racist, or at best, someone who hates & is against Muslims !!
That would of been sooooo very wide of the mark, as to be a joke !! But - after seeing & reading, what had happened - all because, a bunch of people, had the nerve, to write, draw & speak their own minds... AKA - freedom of speech... well, you draw your own conclusions !!
How can people - who claim to believe in God.... even if they don't follow, our own "brand" of worship... go & kill, 12 (I think) people - it makes me wonder, who is right & who is wrong ?!
Come on, "you ravens, you seer's of visions".... give us all, a bit of a break - who do you think is right, in all of this madness ?! Whoever you are - where ever you are - I would guess, you are looking towards, your own version of Heaven.... and, good luck, to you - that's all I can say !! You have done, the Muslim World, in my small circle of friends, a very grave injustice......
If that gets me shot - or kills my blogging spree... well, it was worth it !!

Allman Brothers 2014 !! Ho-hum...
Greetings World's !!
It's a bright & cheerful Tuesday, here in South-West England..... as I look out of the window, I can just about make out the sea, over in the distance - I think the tide might be out, mainly as I can see some waves, breaking into the mud !! It's not the best of beaches.... but, it's Ok, as far as things go !!
The kids have gone back to school, today - after their Christmas holidays..... I woke up, to hear them shouting, in the playground !! The school is, about 500 odd yards away, as the crow might fly..... As I type, you can see all of the little ones, running around....... bless them all. I wonder what kind of life, they will grow into ?!
I think we all, looking back, wish we were at school - as long as we have the knowledge, that we have now... after a lifetime, in which to learn things. Imagine starting school - knowing what we know now !! That would certainly push the ratings up !! Ho-hum..... life goes on !!
I remember, some years ago - saying to my little Sister, over in America... that our grand children, will actually see, if all goes well, the birth of the 22nd century !! That's kind of weird !! Growing up, in the last century - and then, living into the 21st century... that felt kind of strange... but, imagine our grand children, living into the next
century ?! That's something to think about !!
Anyhoo - moving along...
I made a correction, to my last post. I wrote, that I fell out, with our Bishop... "last year". I should of thought about it, really. We're into 2015 - sooooo, it was the year before last - 2013 - that things went South, between us !! I forgot about the whole new year thingy !! Oh well....
As I type, My Wife & Dearest Friend... B... is upstairs, doing some work, in her Craft Cave. She went upstairs, a short while ago.... as yet, I've heard no banging & crashing - so, I guess things are going well !! As for myself...
I took a break - to get myself some med's & a drink.... only to tip morphine, all down my front !! How dumb is that !! It's really sticky, so - I hope, it will all come off !! Next time, that I take it, I'll try & make sure to aim properly.... bit of a bummer really !! Luckily, I didn't waste it all.... so, in a short while, it will do it's trick & ease my pains..... Life is good.
B is doing Ok - I went up to see her... it seems that she managed to break one of the two hinges, on her laptop.... it still works - just a bit of a bummer really !! Apart from that & losing an address, she is doing pretty well.....
Right, it's been a quite couple of days really.... so, I have a few things, that I should write about - but, for the life of me, I can't remember what they were !! Me & my brain..... !!
I'll start with the music of the moment...
Which, as I type, is the Dream Theater album, simply called 'Dream Theater' - I'm pretty certain, it was their last release - it's well good !! I really have been hooked on them, over the last few years !!
For Christmas, as I've probably mentioned before - B gave me a 12 inch vinyl, picture disc, copy of their 'Illumination Theory'. It's the 22 minute track, that ends the above album..... as yet, I've not taken it off the turn table !! It's well good.... one of the nicest gifts, that B has ever given me !!
It only plays, on one side.... which is Ok. It would of been good, to have had something on the 'B side' of the vinyl - but, just having it, as it is.... well, I'm more than happy with it !!
I was trying to think - what was my favorite album, of 2014... but, as I've written before - I can't really think of one !! I wish I had kept a better tally, on which albums had come my ways - over the whole year... but, I've not bothered. Of course - now - I'm wishing I had !!
I have had sooooo many Cd's come my ways - it's hard to put them, into any kind of order, of preference. This year tho' - well.... that's all going to change.
With actually being declared bankrupt, last August... well - I really have to cut back, on not just how much I spend - but where I spend it !! It means, that instead of picking up Cd's - as I see them... with very little thought of the cost - this year, I have to change my whole buying practices !!
In the past - my thoughts have been... if I don't buy things, as I see them... they probably will be gone, the next time I look !! That's been the case, over most of my lifetime... I'll put off buying an album - only to find, the next time, that I go looking for that album, it's already been sold !!
For example..
We were in Exeter, last year... probably in the town, after going to the hospital.... and I found a live Yes concert, in HMV. Now - as you will know, I do like a bit of live music.... live Cd's make up the biggest part of my collection - but, this particular time, I didn't pick the Cd up.
When B caught up with me - she asked if I wanted to buy it... but, when I went looking for it, I was too late - some one had either bought the thing, or had it in their hands, ready to pay for it !! Sooooo, like I say... I used to buy things, as I saw them.... before missing out !!
This year tho' - I've made a very conscious decision, to cut back, on what I buy.... mainly, to save cash.... as I intend on buying myself the Allman Brothers 2014 box set !! It's going to cost a few hundred pounds, but - I really want that collection, so..... I have to cut back on other things !!
Not just now - in order to pay for the thing... but, also... afterwards..... to help to pay for it, instead of buying other things. It's all very strange, to me... but.. the box set will be well worth it, so what the heck !!
I intend buying - or paying - some of it, this coming week. I'm not sure if it's actually available, at the moment - but, I can, at least buy a part of it now... ready to spread the costs a bit. Thankfully, B puts up with my music - and very luckily for me - allows me to buy stuff !! Happy days....
Oh well... I've changed the music, over to a DVD of Transatlantic's 'KaLIVEoscope' concert... the visual part, of the set that I bought late, last year. It's a 3 Cd + DVD collection... well good.... I've done a track listing before - so, check out an earlier post, for all of that... !!
Before I leave music...
One of my favourite tracks, so far, this year... well, that has to be 'Beyond The Sun' - which again, is by Transatlantic & is on their Kaleidoscope album. I just love the lyrics & the soft tune, that goes with them... check it out, well good !!
Ok - my plans, for the rest of the day...
I want to put some Cd's away & - I'll probably land up playing some of them, as I go along !! I also, if I can, want to find a large frame, for the poster that B gave me, for Christmas. It's of the now famous "Wow !!" picture, of my back wound.... and, as it's 24 inches, by 36 inches... well, I need to look at the net & see what I can find !! I'm guessing it's going to be expensive - but, I either find a frame, or it's going to live it's life, rolled up, in the tube it came in !! Oh well....
For now tho' - I will away..

A little up the pecking order....
Greetings World's !!
It's another Monday, here in the wilds of England.... It's not the best of days, outside - B & I went into town, this morning & it was kind of cold, overcast & cloudy.
Normally, when I'm pushing myself around, in my wheelchair, I stay pretty warm..... but, since the last surgery - I'm struggling to use my left arm, as well as I could. nevermind - hopefully, at some point, things will get back to some kind of normality...... what ever that was !!
Unfortunately, B is feeling under the weather, today... so, she is spending a little bit of time, in bed, this afternoon. I know when she is feeling really poorly, when she gives in & heads for the bed !! Trying to get her to relax, is hard enough.... it's neigh impossible, to get her to sleep things off, in the middle of the day.... hopefully, when she wakes up, she will feel a little better... time will tell !!
I don't mind.... I will try & look after her, as best as I can. I'll get her a cup of tea - the stuff that looks like dishwater - when she feels a little better. It's the decaff stuff - it's that right spelling ?! I don't know.... whatever, I'll make her a pot, a bit later on.
The trip to town was a bit of a waste of time..... tho' - we did get our little bit of shopping, out of the way. I had hoped, to pick up another model train.... but, it's not available just yet.
The thing - the models, that I'm collecting - only come out, once every two weeks... so, hopefully it will be in the shops, by Wednesday or Thursday. I'll have to wait & see.....
As mentioned before - I collect stuff.... models of this, that & the other..... not so much for me, more for my Grand kids... if I ever have any !! B has promised, if I die this very moment.... hope not.... to pass all of the models, down the line, to which ever kiddo wants them. Of course - I have a habit of collecting stuff, for boys - but, it's Ok.... I'll just give the girls some cash, instead !!
At some point, all of the models will have to come down, out of our loft - but, not yet.... one day tho'... when they're needed !! Hopefully, whoever has them, in the future, will like them..... again, time will tell !!
It's been a profitable day, in other ways tho' !! To explain....
As long time readers will know - I've had a falling out, with The Bishop, at The Church........ it's something that happened, on May 26th of 2013. How do I know the exact date ?! Simple - it was the Sunday, before I went into hospital, for the first of, what has turned out, to be a bunch of surgeries !!
Anyhoo - this morning, I had to go down, to the surgery, here in the village - to have my dressings changed again. It's done, three times week - but, as it turned out.... one of The Church's other members,was actually in the waiting room.... so, we got talking.
In a nut shell - the guy I saw today - is further up the "pecking order" so to speak, within our Church.... and I asked him, to tell our Bishop, that I would like a meeting with him, at some point !! This is the 2nd chance, that I've had, to say this - to Church members, in the last couple of weeks.... but, the very first time, I've had chance, to say it to someone, if you get my meaning, above The Bishop's level......
I told him, about how things had gone... at my last visit, to our Chapel.... and - well, he wasn't too happy with things. I'm not sure, if he was pissed at me.... but, I got a sense, that he was not happy about things !!
I'll wait & see, how things turn out..... but, it's out of my hands now..... it's down to The Bishop & he feels like meeting up with me !! I will let you know.... I've not seen him, in over 18 months - so, I'm not holding my breath !! I'm glad I saw the guy, today tho'.....
Onto the music of the moment.
I'm part ways thru' Transatlantic's 'Kaleidoscope' Cd.... it's well good !! The deluxe version, of the album, come complete with a bonus Cd of cover tracks... plus a DVD of stuff. It's worth your cash - if you get the chance to buy it !! Because B is in bed... I'm keeping the volume down, but... it's still a good listen !!
I'm still working my ways, thru' my "mix tape" of Cd's...... I think I've done about 9, so far, at least !! I have no real idea, just how many more I'm going to do - but, it's all good... it's giving me chance, to play stuff, that I've not really listened to, over the past year or so, since I did the last collection... ho-hum !!
I have set myself, one little target..... I'm determined, to tidy up my computer table, to clear off all of the Cd's that are collecting dust, before I go back, into hospital, in February !! Ok - it's not until February 9th - but, it's given me a date to work towards.... hopefully, by then, I'll have all of the Cd's put away !! I'll see how I get on.....
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day.... I have to do a bit of typing, on this old computer of mine.... but, apart from that, with B in bed - it's going to be a quiet kind of day !!

Unfortunately, B is feeling under the weather, today... so, she is spending a little bit of time, in bed, this afternoon. I know when she is feeling really poorly, when she gives in & heads for the bed !! Trying to get her to relax, is hard enough.... it's neigh impossible, to get her to sleep things off, in the middle of the day.... hopefully, when she wakes up, she will feel a little better... time will tell !!
I don't mind.... I will try & look after her, as best as I can. I'll get her a cup of tea - the stuff that looks like dishwater - when she feels a little better. It's the decaff stuff - it's that right spelling ?! I don't know.... whatever, I'll make her a pot, a bit later on.
The trip to town was a bit of a waste of time..... tho' - we did get our little bit of shopping, out of the way. I had hoped, to pick up another model train.... but, it's not available just yet.
The thing - the models, that I'm collecting - only come out, once every two weeks... so, hopefully it will be in the shops, by Wednesday or Thursday. I'll have to wait & see.....
As mentioned before - I collect stuff.... models of this, that & the other..... not so much for me, more for my Grand kids... if I ever have any !! B has promised, if I die this very moment.... hope not.... to pass all of the models, down the line, to which ever kiddo wants them. Of course - I have a habit of collecting stuff, for boys - but, it's Ok.... I'll just give the girls some cash, instead !!
At some point, all of the models will have to come down, out of our loft - but, not yet.... one day tho'... when they're needed !! Hopefully, whoever has them, in the future, will like them..... again, time will tell !!
It's been a profitable day, in other ways tho' !! To explain....
As long time readers will know - I've had a falling out, with The Bishop, at The Church........ it's something that happened, on May 26th of 2013. How do I know the exact date ?! Simple - it was the Sunday, before I went into hospital, for the first of, what has turned out, to be a bunch of surgeries !!
Anyhoo - this morning, I had to go down, to the surgery, here in the village - to have my dressings changed again. It's done, three times week - but, as it turned out.... one of The Church's other members,was actually in the waiting room.... so, we got talking.
In a nut shell - the guy I saw today - is further up the "pecking order" so to speak, within our Church.... and I asked him, to tell our Bishop, that I would like a meeting with him, at some point !! This is the 2nd chance, that I've had, to say this - to Church members, in the last couple of weeks.... but, the very first time, I've had chance, to say it to someone, if you get my meaning, above The Bishop's level......
I told him, about how things had gone... at my last visit, to our Chapel.... and - well, he wasn't too happy with things. I'm not sure, if he was pissed at me.... but, I got a sense, that he was not happy about things !!
I'll wait & see, how things turn out..... but, it's out of my hands now..... it's down to The Bishop & he feels like meeting up with me !! I will let you know.... I've not seen him, in over 18 months - so, I'm not holding my breath !! I'm glad I saw the guy, today tho'.....
Onto the music of the moment.
I'm part ways thru' Transatlantic's 'Kaleidoscope' Cd.... it's well good !! The deluxe version, of the album, come complete with a bonus Cd of cover tracks... plus a DVD of stuff. It's worth your cash - if you get the chance to buy it !! Because B is in bed... I'm keeping the volume down, but... it's still a good listen !!
I'm still working my ways, thru' my "mix tape" of Cd's...... I think I've done about 9, so far, at least !! I have no real idea, just how many more I'm going to do - but, it's all good... it's giving me chance, to play stuff, that I've not really listened to, over the past year or so, since I did the last collection... ho-hum !!
I have set myself, one little target..... I'm determined, to tidy up my computer table, to clear off all of the Cd's that are collecting dust, before I go back, into hospital, in February !! Ok - it's not until February 9th - but, it's given me a date to work towards.... hopefully, by then, I'll have all of the Cd's put away !! I'll see how I get on.....
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day.... I have to do a bit of typing, on this old computer of mine.... but, apart from that, with B in bed - it's going to be a quiet kind of day !!

Sitting here thinking....
Greetings World's !!
I hope you're all doing well, this fine day ?! I'm a bit knackered - mainly as we didn't get much in the way of sleep, last night.... no big deal, it was just one of those nights, when - no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get to sleep !!
Having a village clock tower, striking the hour, doesn't help !! Sometimes, I feel like going down to the thing & take the clapper thingy out.... is it called a clapper ?! I don't rightly know !! I'll come back, to the subject..... of bells & clappers, a little later on.
Today, well - it's a Sunday.... and for a very, very long time, I have tried to avoid using the computer on Our Lord's Day. But, today.... after sitting here, thinking about it.... I've decided to share my thoughts !!
First tho' - The Family !!
As I type, B is upstairs, altering the length of some curtains. They have been in our room, before - but... they are sooooo long, we kept tripping over them !! So - last night (I think) B decided that she was going to alter them, today, by taking 6 inches off the bottom !!
A little earlier - she was down here, marking things off & now, judging by the noise, she is up in her Craft Cave, using one of electric sewing machines, to do whatever it was, that she decided to do !! Me - I'm staying down here, listening to music... it sounds safer than going up the stairs & asking what is going on !!
So - that's the family, for today.... I think it's just going to be the two of us, home - I'm not expecting any visitors.... I nice, quiet, sort of day. Well - if you forget about the music, that is !!
I've just been, up to see B - she hasn't used the machine yet - so, I don't know what the noise was..... maybe the neighbours having another fight !! I kid you not.... I was awake, about 2.30 this morning & they were really shouting at each other !! They have this big house - well, bigger than ours - and yet, they still find the time to shout at each other, in various rooms, where people can hear them !! Oh well... each to their very own......
As for the music of the very moment...
I'm listening to U2's 'Bad' - as it was recorded, at 'Live Aid'...... nearly 30 years ago !! "Wow" I hadn't really clicked, that last bit.... 30 years !! Do you know, what you were doing 30 years ago.... ?! I do - but, that's a sad story & not one for today.... maybe another time....
In the middle of the night, I had this weird idea, of recording 3 cassettes, over to Cd..... if I could find the tapes, that was !! As mentioned - I couldn't sleep.... so, at some strange hour, I came down the stairs & found all 3 of the tapes !! I had a vague idea, as to where they were & - luckily - I was able to put my hands on them, with-out too much searching !!
Sooooo - this morning, I decided to give them a bit of a play & then transfer them, over to disc. I'm glad I played them first - it turns out, in theory at least - that I have 2 of the 3, on Cd already......... so, I'm only recording one tape, instead of the 3. It will save me, just a bit of time..... plus, I won't use up too many CDR's !! Life is good.....
The one tape, that I'm recording, has a bunch of - what we used to call singles... not the download stuff, that you get today - these were actual 7 inch & 12 inch things, that you hold in your hand !!
I won't bother you, with all of the tracks - but, they've included things by Rush, Rainbow, Phil Collins, Gillan, AC/DC, Meat Loaf & Ultravox... to name but a few !! It's all a bit of fun.....
I've now moved onto the last Transatlantic album 'Kaleidoscope'... one of the better albums, that I picked up, last year. Last year !! I'm still trying to get my head around it being 2015 !! Nevermind - the tracks, on this album, are:
1) Into The Blue
2) Shine
3) Black As The Sky
4) Beyond The Sun
5) Kaleidoscope
I've mentioned this album before - if you get chance, go out & buy yourself a copy !! It's really good !!
Ok - going back, to bells & clappers.... !! A little story, about one time - when I was in hospital, after breaking my back. It was in the days, when visiting times were really strictly enforced, to the one hour per night - or afternoon, I guess.
As you can probably imagine - laying on a broken back, wasn't a lot of fun.... so, we (the guys on the ward) used to come up with little things, to keep ourselves amused !! This included, removing the clapper, from the bell - that signaled the end of visiting time.
On the hour, exactly, the nurse would pick up the bell & ring "time" - only, this time, there was no clapper.... sooooo, the poor nurse was left, holding a bell, that wasn't ever going to work !!
Bless her - in the end, she had to go, to another ward & use their bell, to get all of the visitors out !! Oh - it's the little things you remember..... that & the various bits of pain & stuff !! Nevermind....
Why am I writing on a Sunday ?!
It's simple really...... it has been over 18 months, since I last saw the Bishop.... 18 months, when - as a Latter-Day Saint - I needed as much help, as I could get...... the last time, that I saw him, I was kept out of The Chapel...... for the duration of the entire service !! It was the last service, before going back, into hospital - where I stayed for 3 months !!
The Church - to me - has left me hanging..... and, I'm quite upset, by it all. I needed help, thru' out that time, that I was really poorly & The Church.... well, that's why I'm writing this, on a Sunday.
It is The Lord's day.... but, even tho' he is in my heart, I cannot help, but feel a little upset, by the ways, that I've been treated, over the last year & a half !! Oh well.... that's why I've been sitting here & thinking !!
I must away - being up, for sooooo long, last night, has taken "the get up & go" out of me.... I need to rest for a while..

Within Temptation... Ho-hum !!
Greetings World's !!
How are your bits of the Universe treating you, this fine & horrid Saturday ?! It's pushing towards 1pm here in England.... and it's really wet & windy outside !! As yet - I've not set foot, outside of the little homestead, but !! The wind is blowing the empty bins around & the rain is really blowing across.... I might talk B into staying in the house today...
Talking of My Wife & Dearest Friend - she is still in bed, not exactly feeling too good !! She hurt her back, a few days back & last night she took some pain killers, for the problem.... the knock on effect is, that this morning, she is struggling to come around !!
I've just taken her up a hot drink - she is Ok.... but, I'm glad, if nothing else, she is having a good sleep in !! Trying to get my Wife, to actually rest - well, that's almost as bad as taking her shopping..... she hates both, with a real vengeance !! Nevermind....
I can't say too much, as I've only been up & out of bed, for less than half an hour !! I wasn't feeling too brilliant, sooooo - I stayed in bed, with B !! I could of quite happily stayed there, for the rest of the day.... but, things to do & stuff !!

I'm playing track 6 - 'Silver Moonlight' - as I type....... for me, one of the best tracks on the album.... but, why it keeps fading in & out... stop/starting like it does, well - it beats the heck out of me !! Maybe I should read the booklet, that came with the album - it might explain a few things. Oh well......
I'm actually recording a copy, of the whole 'Hydra' album, ready to put onto the "mix tape" thingy. Please read any of my more recent posts, to understand what I'm up to - I can't be bothered to go thru' it all again !!
Other than to say, I'm up to Cd 7.... sooooo... it's all coming together !! I really need to get some kind of life !!
As mentioned, yesterday - our daughter - ME - came over.... she really should of stayed in bed, she had a nasty bug !! Bless her... she is one of Our Lord's greatest gifts !! I love her to bits....

As I've been typing - 'The Hunger Games' - has been playing silently to itself, over in the corner. I like the film, just a little bit - so, when it gets to the main "fight" part, with everybody out in the woods & stuff, I'll give it a bit of a watch !! The first half of the film, well... it's Ok - but, I prefer the 2nd part !!
Right - my plans, for the rest of the day...

Happy New Year - and lots of music !!
Greetings World's !!
It's a cold & dry Friday - here in the wilds of England's South-west.... having said that - I'm here in the warm, typing these words to you all...... I've got the heating on & B is behind me, warming the kitchen up, with some fresh baking !! Life is good !!
Looking across - to my left, the TV weather forecast is on & - according to the lady reading the news - it's going to stay pretty cool, over the coming days !! As long as it stays dry - I don't mind... it's when it's wet & cold.... I'm not a great fan of that sort of weather !!
The postman has just dropped off a few things.... one of which, believe it or not, is a hospital appointment, for December 21st 2015 !! Just when I'm starting off, a brand new year.... with a vague hope of getting somewhat better, health-wise.... I'm getting hospital appointments, for 12 months down the road !! That's kind of mad... well, I think so, at least !!
Talking of "New Years"... I hope you had an interesting celebration or more ?! Me - I went to sleep, really early & slept right thru' all of the fireworks & stuff !! B watched it all... as the various places celebrated.... not me tho' - I was completely zonked out of it all !! No biggy - I was quite happy, in my slumbers !!
Ok - the family...
As mentioned... B, My Wife & Dearest Friend, is behind me... well, she was, a few minutes ago !! She has now left the warmth of the kitchen & gone outside, to put some re-cycling stuff together. It seems, that our rubbish collection is due tomorrow... so, she is getting things ready.
Usually, it gets to about 6 or 7pm & she will remember it needs doing.... sooooo, she fumbles around in the dark !! Not today tho' - she has decided to it all, in daylight !! Oh well.... as long as she is happy ?! Moving on....
A little later, our whirlwind of a Daughter is coming over (I think) - B mentioned her visit earlier, but... I can't remember if it's today, or tomorrow, that she is coming !! "Yep" - B has just told me, it is later today !! If only I had a brain... etc etc !!
Going back, to a little earlier... I had to go down to the local Dr's again.... it was time for another dressings change !! Thankfully - my last of the week... unless something goes a bit wrong, over the weekend.... it was a funny few minutes tho' - to explain !!
The nurse, who does the dressings, on a Friday - knowing we have a history of chicken farming - asked us a funny (weird) question..... it went something along the lines of - "can ducks set of fire alarms ?" !! I kid you not !!
It seems that, over the holidays, they had a cooked duck - which, somehow, triggered off their house's fire alarm !! This was all well & good - but, when they decided to cook a 2nd duck - the alarm went off again.
So - with our knowledge of poultry farming... we were asked, very seriously, was it possible, that a duck (or two) could set off fire alarms !! I had to stop myself, laughing off of the stool..... !! I just wish I had a bit of a warning - with a question like that - I needed to have thought up some really dumb answer.... but !!

I've been busy, recording Cd's.... for my next "mix tape" selection..... I have, so far, recorded 5 Cd's... with several still to go - well, I think so, at least !! It's a work in progress - I guess, that's the best way to describe it.
So far, I've gone from the mighty Max Webster, thru' Dream Theater - to Rainbow, The Allman Brothers Band & Gov't Mule....... all stuff, well - that I have around me.... but, I've just taken my favourite tracks & stuck them onto Cd !! It's my way of passing the time - I guess ?!
I'm not sure, exactly how many more I'm going to record - but, as I'm happy in my own little World, listening to music... life can't be bad !! Out of 5 Cd's - I've only made one mistake - sooooo, that can't be bad...
As for the music of the moment - it's Queen's 'Live At The Rainbow' from March 1974. Ok - it's a 2 Cd set... but, I prefer the first disc.... the tracks are:

5) Guitar Solo
6) Son & Daughter - reprise

As mentioned before - I saw Queen, when they did this tour... they weren't too bad really.... but, given their rise in fame - on the night, that I saw them... they supported the disco !! The disco did a spot, Queen did their set & then the disco finished the evening off !! Not exactly "super-stardom" in the making... but, a good bit of fun !! Oh well.......
Right, my plans for the rest of the day ?! I'm not really sure - I'll probably sit & chill out, with our Daughter coming over, it will be fun, just to sit & talk with her. So - with that in mind... I will be on my ways !!

It's a cold & dry Friday - here in the wilds of England's South-west.... having said that - I'm here in the warm, typing these words to you all...... I've got the heating on & B is behind me, warming the kitchen up, with some fresh baking !! Life is good !!
Looking across - to my left, the TV weather forecast is on & - according to the lady reading the news - it's going to stay pretty cool, over the coming days !! As long as it stays dry - I don't mind... it's when it's wet & cold.... I'm not a great fan of that sort of weather !!
The postman has just dropped off a few things.... one of which, believe it or not, is a hospital appointment, for December 21st 2015 !! Just when I'm starting off, a brand new year.... with a vague hope of getting somewhat better, health-wise.... I'm getting hospital appointments, for 12 months down the road !! That's kind of mad... well, I think so, at least !!
Talking of "New Years"... I hope you had an interesting celebration or more ?! Me - I went to sleep, really early & slept right thru' all of the fireworks & stuff !! B watched it all... as the various places celebrated.... not me tho' - I was completely zonked out of it all !! No biggy - I was quite happy, in my slumbers !!
Ok - the family...
As mentioned... B, My Wife & Dearest Friend, is behind me... well, she was, a few minutes ago !! She has now left the warmth of the kitchen & gone outside, to put some re-cycling stuff together. It seems, that our rubbish collection is due tomorrow... so, she is getting things ready.
Usually, it gets to about 6 or 7pm & she will remember it needs doing.... sooooo, she fumbles around in the dark !! Not today tho' - she has decided to it all, in daylight !! Oh well.... as long as she is happy ?! Moving on....
A little later, our whirlwind of a Daughter is coming over (I think) - B mentioned her visit earlier, but... I can't remember if it's today, or tomorrow, that she is coming !! "Yep" - B has just told me, it is later today !! If only I had a brain... etc etc !!
Going back, to a little earlier... I had to go down to the local Dr's again.... it was time for another dressings change !! Thankfully - my last of the week... unless something goes a bit wrong, over the weekend.... it was a funny few minutes tho' - to explain !!
The nurse, who does the dressings, on a Friday - knowing we have a history of chicken farming - asked us a funny (weird) question..... it went something along the lines of - "can ducks set of fire alarms ?" !! I kid you not !!
It seems that, over the holidays, they had a cooked duck - which, somehow, triggered off their house's fire alarm !! This was all well & good - but, when they decided to cook a 2nd duck - the alarm went off again.
So - with our knowledge of poultry farming... we were asked, very seriously, was it possible, that a duck (or two) could set off fire alarms !! I had to stop myself, laughing off of the stool..... !! I just wish I had a bit of a warning - with a question like that - I needed to have thought up some really dumb answer.... but !!
