Allman Brother's March 21st 2014.. Ho-hum !!

Hi again World's !!

It's a bright - but wet - Thursday, here in England.... that is to say, our little part of it !! On the news, this morning, they showed all of the places, that have had a load of snow - as yet, we've not had any, which is kind of a shame... but, at least, the roads aren't too nasty !!

As we live, a few miles from the sea - we hardly get much... snow, that is... but, when we do - well, it can get pretty bad !! A few years back - they opened up the village hall, to help some people, who were stranded !! The snow was too deep, for the cars to get thru'. Never mind.... maybe we'll get some, later on, in the Spring, or whatever it's called these days !!

Thinking about it - I don't want it to snow, for a while.... I'm going to be stuck, in the hospital & that's 50 miles from here !! I do not want B to be driving around in the white stuff..... when it comes to visiting me - it's one worry, that I do not want to have !!

Talking of My Wife & Dearest Friend - B has gone into town, to do a bit of shopping & also visit with her carers group. It's a once a month thing & she likes to go, when it's possible. Next week - I think, the group are going up to Glastonbury, for a day out.... that's close to her Dad's place - so, I suspect, that she pay him a visit, at the same time.

Sooooo - I'm home alone, for a few hours !! That means - yes folks - it music blasting time !!

As I type - I'm playing one of the Allman Brother's concerts - from their short run, at the Beacon Theater in New York... last March 21st. Unfortunately, it was when Gregg Allman was too sick, to join the band, on stage.... but, it's a good show, all the same !! The tracks are:

Ok - I've missed out the various announcements & stuff, but - it's a great set list !! I have a load more, to listen to - concerts, that have reached me this week... but, I'll get around to them, as the days go on & on !!

Last night, I put all of the concerts, onto the Mini Egg - I'm now, in the process of taking the shorter versions, of various tracks off the thing. That ways, I can listen to the longest possible versions, of each track, when I'm stuck in bed, or when we're driving around. Great stuff !!

What could be better... one of my favourite bands, playing the long versions, of their best tracks + some cover versions.... it's going to give me something to listen to & that's a fact, when I'm stuck in Exeter, after my next surgery !!

Only 10 or 11 days to go... oh well.... I'm not looking forward to it, the surgery - but, if it works ?! Time will tell, I guess.....

I still say, that I have the easy part !! I go to the hospital, get knocked out, have the surgery & then spend some time recovering !! B - bless her, leaves me, at the theater door & then has to drive home, on her own !! That's not nice, not nice at all !!

Going back, to yesterday....

Our lovely Daughter ME, came over !! She just sits, in B's rocking chair & sucks up the warm, from the heaters & the pots of tea, that I make for her !!

I love both of our children, I really do - it's just fantastic, how much they give us, with-out really doing anything !! They are just fantastic.... bless them both & M.... our "Son-in-Law" - sort of !!

If it's dry, tomorrow - I'm going over to the M & M's house, in the hope of fixing their guttering. It has come apart & the water just pours thru' it, when it rains. Not good.... sooooo, if it's dry, I'll get up the ladder & see if I can join it back together !!

As for my plans - for the rest of the day... well - I'm going to sit on my chair & do the dishes, as best I can & listen to some more music !! That sounds like a great plan, to me at least !!
