Allman Brothers 'Woodstock 94'

Greetings World's !!

It's a bright & cheerful Friday, here in England.... the Sun is bright, there is a small amount of cloud cover & the predicted storms, from yesterday - well, they have either missed us. or have yet to arrive !!

As I type - B is upstairs, doing a bit of housework... I think, in our room. A short while ago, I helped her change the bedding.... so, I expect, she is probably doing a bit of dusting & stuff..... it's amazing, just how much dust, just hangs in the air, when I take the sheets off.... oh well !!

I've done the dishes & we have made an attempt, to clean some of the furniture..... from what I can see, the little bit, that we did, has come out pretty good !!

We're using a "new" cleaner - as a bit of an experiment. It's been advertised, on TV, as some kind of of wonder product... so, we bought some, yesterday - it looks like it's worked really well !! B has just come down.... and, we're going to have a go, at some of the other furniture, in a short while.

I've suggested, that - as we have a 2 seat couch thingy.... that we clean, just one side of it - one cushion, type of stuff - in order, to get a kind of, before & after, sort of thing. That would be interesting...... it's going to keep me off the streets, for a while, at least !!

I mentioned the TV... Well, as I type, it's on the news stations, showing shots of, where they believe, the 2 gunmen, from Paris, are holed up. It seems, that the 2 of them, are some form of printing place.... I cannot imagine, that are going to give themselves up, to the police !! If I see anything - I will let you know !!

Of course, if the 2 guys, are watching their TV's - they will know, more or less, what surrounds them.... sooooo, maybe they will give up - I can't see that happening tho' - they will probably become Martyrs, to whatever they believe in !!

B is beside, cleaning one half, of the couch, it's going to be interesting !!

Right, going back, to a few hours ago.... it was dressings change time, again !! I'm sorry, if you any shouts of pain... it wasn't me !! The wound had started to hurt, quite badly, over night - so, I was pretty glad, to have fresh dressings, put over the thing !! Besides that - the nurse, who works on Fridays, is really good.... making sure, everything goes well......

But - it wouldn't be me & my blog, if I didn't have, at least one moan, about something !! Today - well, is no different.... it really has been, a bit, of a pain....

I mentioned, that - at the end of December - I had to go, into the hospital, to see one of my Consultants. Well - that visit went really well.... except - the local surgery, has let me down... once again !! To explain - with out being too gory...

Because of my ongoing health problems - the Consultant wanted a sample - I won't give you all the details, of what is involved.... needless to say, it's not the nicest thing, in the World, to have to do !!

Anyhoo - I sorted it out and took, said sample, to the local surgery.... from there, it was meant, to be sent on, to the hospital. Guess what - it never made it - bummer !! Sooooo - a short while ago, the hospital 'phoned me.... mainly too ask if I had actually sorted out the sample & if so, where was it !!

Now then, because I have had problems, with the surgery before - the manager, a lovely lady..... has asked me, to call her, if ever something (like this) happens.... if ever, something, goes wrong... so, I gave her a call & now - well, I have to do it all over again !! The sample is "missing in action" - so to speak !!

The practice nurse - who did my dressings, this morning, has called - everything will be left out, for me, when I go back down, to the surgery...... oh well, that's life !! I still think it's a bummer !! Once again - the local practice, to my mind, has messed up !! Ok - that's today's moan, out of the way !!

Going back, to Monday.... I think.... I saw, a guy, from Church - who basically "out ranks" our Bishop, who - if you've read my words, before, you will know.... well, go back 18+ months & tread my blog, from around that time, to find out more...

Anyways - I told the guy, on Monday, that I would like a meeting, with The Bishop. As I told him - I had a "falling out - big time" - (with The Bishop) & I hadn't seen him, since May 2013 !!

Then - on Tuesday evening - our 'phone rang.... guess what... it was The Bishop !! I'm guessing, his "boss" - or, as I wrote before, the guy... who is further "up the pecking order" - well, I'm guessing he called The Bishop... from there, The Bishop called us !!

He is coming over, to see us, next Tuesday evening.... that's going to be an interesting get together & that's a fact !! I hope, that I will get to say my piece... but, as I've not seen, or spoken to, the man..... well - I will let you know, just how things go !!

If things had been different, I would of written, about his call - on Wednesday.... but, if you've read my post, from yesterday, you will know, why I didn't write anything !! Moving on, to the music of the moment !!

I'm actually listening to a copy, of The Allman Brother's set, recorded at 'Woodstock '94'.... I've not played it, for a while - but... the tracks are:

I know, it's the complete set.... but, I'm happy with this part of it !!

Last night, as I'm a complete idiot, as everyone know - I ordered the first batch, of the bands 2014 shows !! In total - I think - I ordered 11 shows.... from March, thru' to their last shows, of the year, in October.... I say, last shows of the year... but, it's more likely, their last shows ever !!

The plan, if all works out - I'm having the complete box set.... all of the bands 2014 shows..... but, due to the cost - I want to spread it out, over a few weeks, to make sure all goes well, with the bank account & stuff. It would be a real bummer, if & when the box sets are ready, it turned out, that I couldn't afford to pay for the thing !!

Sooooo - by buying a few at a time, I can spread the cost.... hopefully, it will all work out ?! As I've said, many times... time will tell !! Great stuff !!

Staying with music...

I've learnt my lesson, as far as labeling stuff !! To explain..

A short while back, I did a Cd...... for my own use... of Dream Theater's 'Live In Tokyo' DVD soundtrack. As always - I listen to music, more than I watch DVD's of concerts & stuff... so, that's why I did the s/t. Anyhoo...

As mentioned, above, I am a complete idiot.... and, for whatever reason, I couldn't find the blooming Cd !! I simply lost it, in with all of the other stuff, that I have around me - I really did !!

But, after several days of searching.... I actually found, what I was looking for, last night !! "Yippeeee !!". I had messed up, big time - by putting the Cd, in with some other stuff.... so, instead of there being, just the one Cd, for me to find - I was over looking the fact, that it was looking right at me, even if it was mixed in with other stuff !!

Oh well - lesson leaned !! In future, even if it's just a quick sticky note thingy... I will label stuff, as I actually do them !!

Right - I best be on my ways... the 'Woodstock' show is just coming an end, so it seems like a good time to stop - plus, it's nearly 2pm & that will mean the local surgery will - hopefully - have my stuff ready, to collect !!
