Allman Brothers concerts... ho-hum !!

Greetings World's !!

How is your bit of the Universe treating you today ?! Here - in England - it's kind of cold, but - thankfully - it's dry.... so, that's not so bad. I had to go down, to the Dr's surgery earlier, for a meeting & it wasn't too bad at all, even if the room I was in, was really warm !!

Anyways - it's a Tuesday... and I'm sat here, feeling a little pissed off... more of that later.

As for the family - well, B is here with me... I think she has just gone outside, to fill up the bird feeders. I guess, that's a never ending job - the number of birds, that we get - in the garden... well...

The BBC & some other bird groups, have been asking people, to sit - for one hour - to log, just what sort of birds & their numbers, that we get in our gardens. As it is - we get sooooo many different birds, I'm not really sure Auntie Beeb would believe our tally !!

Oh well..... lots of birds !!

Right - why am I a little pissed off ?!

On Saturday, I had a letter in the post, pointing out - as I've said before - saying that, I had to pay £20+ in order to have a parcel delivered. The parcel being, a bunch of Allman Brothers concerts, from 2014....

So, today - we've been sat here, waiting for the parcel to arrive..... only to have an e-mail, from the Allman's web site, this morning, saying - that due to high demand.... some of the Cd's are out of stock !! It's been a pain in the butt, as it is - paying for the parcel, to get here... but, to find out today, that it might not contain all of the Cd's... well !!

I'm still hopeful - that I might get all of the concerts, in the post... but, if not !! It means, in a nut shell, that I'm going to have to pay, another £20+ for the rest of the order, whenever that happens to reach these shores !! That will mean, I'm out of pocket, around the $60 mark, paying the extras - $60 that I could of spent, on more Allman's Cd's !!

Oh well - I will wait & see, exactly what reaches me.... depending on what time, the parcel van gets here !! That could be, in a minute - or later this evening.... they never seem to be able, to give an approximate time... just a date !!

Talking of dates....

This morning, talking at the meeting I had - I told the lady, that I was going into hospital, next week... when infact, it's the week after !! If only I had a brain etc etc etc.... Nevermind, one date is as good as another, I guess !!

Just took a break... the parcel van has been !!

My worst fears have been unfounded... Out of the 11 concerts, that I was expecting - 9 have arrived !! That's not sooooo bad. But - if I have to pay another £20, just for the last 2... that will be a real bummer !! Time will tell...

Next week, I will be ordering another bundle of concerts..... hopefully, they will arrive in one go. Having them come in drip & drops, ain't too good - well, not for me, at least. Whatever, they will not reach me, until after I go into hospital.

 Right - today is a special day - the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I am not a Jew, but, it is very important, to keep the memory of those, who died, in the camps - wherever they were.

One of my Uncles, was tasked with helping the people, at one of the other camps... something he would never forget. Life has gone on - but, we must never forget !! No matter your views on the subject...

Right - I must be on my ways - 9 concerts to listen to & things like that.... ho-hum !!

Oh, one thing - if you are TV weather man, please don't put your hands, over where we live, when doing the forecasts.... B gets really upset about it, when she can't see what is in-store for us... until next time..
