Well - Hail & Greetings !!
It's a really warm Friday afternoon, here in the wilds of England's South-West corner...... if you look at a map, I'm down in the bottom left, where the Counties of Somerset, Devon & Cornwall all head towards the Atlantic. Sooooo - now you know, sort of, where I am..... if that helps ?!
It really is a great day - the sky is blue & the white clouds are all puffy & blowing across...... for a change, this week, it's not raining. Hopefully those of you, on holiday, are having a good time. It's a shame, when the rain comes, on the week you've booked off !! Oh well....
As I type, B is with me... measuring up some material stuff, to make a strap. She's made another bag & the strap is for that one.... all very clever !! She loves doing her craft stuff & she really amazes me, how it all comes together !! As I say - all very clever.....
We had a visitor, for the last hour or so - a really great guy, who I first met when he was trying to teach me statistics, at college - as part of my degree course. As I say "trying to teach" was the right way of remembering it - I just couldn't get my head around it all !!
I remember, one time, he told the class, that this was the way NASA put a man on the Moon..... fat lot of good that was to us - we didn't want to put a man on the Moon !! We just needed to know how to work out out various problems, using symbols that we didn't understand !! Nevermind - that was 10 years ago now.... I still do not understand statistics - but, come to that, NASA haven't asked me to help them put a man back on the Moon !!
As for the rest of the family...
We, as I wrote the day before yesterday - we went around to the M & M's house. That was when we were on our ways home from Exeter. ME had a day or two off - sooooo, we went around & said "Hello" !! I guess we will see them again soon.... when they have another break.
As for J - our Son....
I wrote to him, about putting his things into self storage. Well, as I expected, he's not prepared to do that.... so, I guess I have 2 or 3 choices.....
One of which would be to do, as he has said, in a text to B - and sell everything. Or I could just give it away... I'm sure someone would like all of the Lego that's around here !! I don't know yet - it's clear he doesn't intend coming over to the house, to collect it.... and that means, to me at least, that he no longer wants any of it !! It's going to be interesting, over the coming weeks, as to what I do with it all !! Time will tell..... I hope !!
As it is - I've already started to measure things up - to put some shelves up, on a wall. That's going to free up a bit of floor space - so, I can at least stash things there !! If I use the wall mountings, that the shelves can go at different heights, that will give us some flexibility. More so, at least, than the book case that is there, at the moment !!
I'm not going to rush around - it's one of those jobs that I can work on, over the coming months. As long as I remember where the various pipes & electrical's go....... I don't want to cause a flood or give myself a shock !! It's going to be fun - and, as I say, I will be able to store loads of stuff on the shelves !! Life is good..... even if my Son seems hell bent on giving his Mum grief !!
As for the music of the moment...
Well, I'm still playing Allman Brothers concerts... at the moment, I'm listening to their Beacon Theatre, New York, from October 25th concert, from last year. I won't list the tracks - there are 3 Cd's full of great music.... but, I'm going to list the tracks, from a Cd that came today, in the post.
Thank's to B - I now have all of Led Zeppelin's re-issues... well, the latest ones, with all of the so called extra tracks. One that came today, along with some others, is 'Coda'. It was meant to be the bands last album, when it came out, way back when... but, it's out again.... this time with 2 bonus Cd's !!

Ok - I've not played the album yet - but, there are a lot of things on the Cd's, that have been out for many years, on bootleg. I know - I keep telling you, not to buy bootlegs - but.... there are sooooo many tracks here, that have been around for a very long time !! Oh well.... I'll give it a listen, at some point !!
I still have 'Presence' & 'In Through The Out Door' with all of their extra tracks, to listen to.... once again, so much music & so few brain cells !! Life is really good, at the moment, at least !!
That might change, in a little while - I'm expecting a 'phone call, from the hospital - in Taunton. That might be a bummer, depending on how things go, I guess !! I still have 15 minutes, before the call is due - sooooo, I better think about closing this down, for today...
My thanks, as always, to those of you who have logged in & have taken the time to read my words..... a big "Hello" to my reader in Portugal - I thank you for taking the time to return to my old blog !! Must go.... until next time...
Bye Bye
