'One More For The Fans' Ho-hum....

Well "Hello !!" World's !!

It's a warm, if slightly windy Wednesday afternoon, here in England..... I was going to say the sky is blue, but - it's full
of clouds !! Nevermind - it's warm, that's a good thing, better than the cold days we've been having !!

As I type - B is behind me, trying to brush our oldest cat.... he hates it, he really does !! The fault is ours, he was never brushed, at a kitten - sooooo now, he really hates it !! He's just done a runner, thru' the living room !! No I lie - B has got him again..... and has  given up, by giving him a bowl of food !! That's cheating !!

At least, while he's eating - he's not making that nasty screech he makes, everytime the brush comes near him !! Oh well.....

Going back to early this morning....

I had to go down to Exeter, to see the plastic surgeon again....... I'm glad to say, he has (kind of) given me a clean bill of health !! Well - I did say "kind of". I still have a nasty hole in my back - but, he can't really do anymore to help + I don't really want another surgery, sooooo - we've come to an agreement.

If my back opens up again - he will do all he can, to fix it..... in the meantime, we're both hoping it might, just might heal on it's own. That would be good - but, I'm not holding my breath !! After all - it's only been there for 2 years, 2 months & 1 day !! Time will tell I guess....

Unfortunately, he does agree, with my other surgeon - the metalwork might have to come out !! That's a bit of a bummer.... but, I guess we will see how things go. As I say - I don't want another surgery.... but, if needs must, I will have to go along with what the Consultant says. Again - time will tell.....

On the way home, we called around the M & M's house, to say high to ME. She's got a few days off... so, I'm pleased to see she was taking it easy !! We only stayed about an hour - maybe less - but, it was nice to pop in.

Plus - I found a few DVD's they had, which I had almost forgotten about !! One of them.... well, I thought I had bought this Viking movie & sure enough, the guys had it !! It's called 'Vikingdom' and it was was one of those movies, that I was sure I had - I just couldn't find it, or remember exactly what it was !! Oh well..... I'll watch it, at some point - I can't really remember if there was a plot !! Nevermind.

When we actually got home, the first of the Cd's that B got for me, was waiting on the door mat !! I thought it was going to be studio cover versions of Lynyrd Skynyrd songs..... done by various people - it turns out to be a live 2 Cd concert !! I do love my live albums !! It's called 'One More For The Fans' & was recorded last November 14th....... I am really going to enjoy playing this one, at some point down the line !! I've heard of nearly all of the people featured, sooooo - it's going to be a great listen !! Not today tho' - I'm still playing some of the Allman's concerts - I want to finish the one, that I already started !!

I see, on the news, that loads of people, tried & failed, to storm the "Channel Tunnel", last night.... the BBC is showing footage of guys, trying to hide in trucks, waiting to cross from France, over to England. I have several ideas, on how to stop them...... must would mean being a bit OTT, but !! Oh well....

I must think about shutting this down, for today. I have a load of stuff, on one of the chairs - I have to sort thru' that lot - plus, if I can, I must try & do a quick tidy up of my computer table. The latter might wait - but, I must clear the chair off !!
