501

Well hello there Worlds of this stellar universe of ours - I hope your gravity is keeping you rooted !!

Today is going to be the quiet day I hoped for - no fuss, no hassles, no things to do before...... well you know the sort of thing !!  It's really hot & sunny here at the moment - blue sky & high white clouds... almost perfect. I kind of wish I had a laptop - then I could sit out in the garden & type these words.... never mind - at least here I can have the music on, without tooooooo many moans !!

The music of the moment is Jow Bonamassa's 'Live At The Albert Hall' set that came out a year or two back.  There was a DVD of the show as well -  but, the Cd's are really a good listen..... the guy can really play that guitar of his !!  Which kind of helps if you're stood in front of 5000+ people..........

As for the family - well.... J is upstairs (looking after me) & the Ladies of the house have gone out "shopping" - to use their words !!  B wants to get a new pair of jeans for the trip tomorrow & ME has taken her to some place she knows near Weston-Super-Mud.... oooops... Mare, sorry about that folks !!  Weston is quite a nice place.... for a visit, not sure how I would feel if we lived there full time.  I think my Sister lives there..... .never mind.......

Yesterday was a bit of a let down, to explain.......  I had to go see the Dr about my memory problems - now, I have to go for a brain scan to check things out !!  Then, following that - I have to see another Dr, who will be better at judging if or what is wrong with me !! 

I was kind of hoping we could have gone a little further with his assessment - to say (as he did last time)  I might have a form of Alzheimer's & then say - "oh we'll do a brain scan" left me hanging a bit !!  He said the same yesterday... it might be this, or that - but.... to be honest, I think he is just ticking boxes to cover his own butt !!  Still, I've not had a brain scan  so far this year, so maybe it's time for another one - at least we'll see if the o' grey matter is still in there !!

Actually, it's be fun - tho' I'm not sure if it's a regular scan or a MRI.... if it's the latter, I get to listen to music while I have my head frazzled !!  We'll see - it won't be for a while tho'....... I'll keep flapping my arms until then I guess !!  Maybe - tho' I doubt it very much - I could have the scan done when I go in for the other things - now that would be cool + it would save me a couple of journeys.  Our hospital system ain't that good !!  We'll see how we go..........

The music of the moment is now 'Aero' by Jean Michel Jarre - nothing like a complete change of sounds !!  I have a live DVD of the guy someplace - it's very dull - tho' good value for money !!

The title of today's posting is '501' and the reason for that is very simple.  Since starting this blog, last year - at the end of March - I have just had my 501st page read or what ever it's called !!  I only started writing these words for a bit of 'fun'.... now it has become a part of my life.  It's said that only "sad" people write blogs - well, if that's the case........ as I've said before,  I'm guilty as charged !!

Tomorrow will be a huge day for me - it's time for the Greg Allman concert !!  Everything is in place... concert & bus tickets + a hotel booked just up the road from the venue - this is probably going to be my last ever concert & I can't think of a better ending to my concerts over the last 40 years !! 

From my first 'big' concert in 1971 with Canned Heat thru' the Allman Brother's in 1974, Pink Floyd 1975, Zeppelin. 1975 & 1979 - thru' the 80' with Dio into the 90's with Rush & up to the other week with Otway & Barrett - plus all the bands I've seen & forgotten about  - tomorrow Greg Allman..... My family & the music, are my life !!

I have a wonderful family, I have far toooooo much music for any sane person & the Lord lives here, in our hearts & in our home - it really does not get much better than that !!
