Ok - it's a Friday, yep - just checked & I'm right.... it's the end of another week !! I do miss days sometimes, but..... it is a Friday !! It's been a long, long day so far...
I was a bit poorly in the night & heard the village clock strike all the hours from 3am thru' to 7am !! I just could not get off to sleep, which was a real bummer - never mind..... I got up just after 7 & came down & sorted out a drink for B. I'm not 100% sure she was too excited about it - after all, as I had been poorly, so she had been awake for most of the night as well !! Never mind - I think she has forgiven me.... or at least I hope so anyways !!
At the moment, the ladies have gone out shopping. We went out early & did all our food shop & paid some bills... but, ME wanted to go back into town & B went with her for the ride along. So at the moment, it's just J & yours truly here at home + the cats, who seem a bit fed up with the warm weather we're having at the moment !! Never mind........
I had to see my doctor early this morning - I'm struggling a bit at the moment & he has put me on some different pills. So, hopefully things will get a little better over the coming days & weeks - we'll see.... things can't really get any worse - well, they could, I guess !! But I'll keep sucking in the air & flapping my old arms - hopefully things will improve !!
Yesterday I was sat here waiting for the police to arrive & of course they didn't come at all !!!!!! So, while we were in town, we went into the local station & asked why.... it seems, so I'm told, that the message didn't get thru' !! What can I say !!
There is this story, I heard many moons ago..... A lady called the police as she had a some guy trying to get into her house. Anyways, after a few hours, the police hadn't reached her, so she called back - to tell them not to bother, as she had shot the guy !! She hadn't......
The story goes that - withing 30 minutes, the police were everywhere, telling her to come out, with-out her gun & what have you. Come the end, they took her to court for wasting police time !! That's how I feel at the moment - what do you have to do to get the police to take a complaint seriously ? Maybe shoot the neighbour !!
Anyhooo - they are going to come out... I've told them to phone first tho' - I might be shooting the neighbour !! No really...... but it is bad, when you call them & they do nothing !!
Oh yes - while we're in town, we met our MP - he shops in the same book store as us. He is a really 'nice guy'.... it's just a shame he's a MP !! Never mind - maybe I could stand for Parliament ? Now that would get the police to pay attention !!
The music of this very moment is Robert Plant's 'Song To The Siren' - or at least his version of it. It's an old Tim Buckley song & I think the original is better really !! It's on another one of my compilation Cd's - earlier it was Nightwish, then The Allman's & now Mr Plant...... another day & another piece of music !!
I had an e-mail earlier (about 1.30 this morning) from the US postal service - my Allman's box set is on it's way to me, "Yippeeeeeeeee" - I hope it'll be here in a few weeks - we'll see how long it takes to swim over here from 'Hittin' The Note'. I can't wait to hear it - it should be really good !!
Last night, I was looking at Play.com. There is a 3 Cd set by Iced Earth I want to listen to - but, I don't see paying over £20 for it !! Anyhooo - I was looking at Play & the set ranges from over £20 if you buy it in this country, down to £11 if you order it from America.... how crazy is that !! I'm not going to buy it just yet - maybe Santa Claus will bring in his sack.... I doubt it very much tho' - we'll see !!
As for the plan for today - well, not much really. I was going to do some more painting - I have some gloss to do in the bathroom, but - feeling as I do, that has gone right out the window !! Maybe tomorrow.... it's the sort of thing I need to do in the morning, so that it might dry enough by the evening - wet paint & the evening showers do not go very well together !! These new tablets the Dr has given me, should cut back on the pain a bit - so, that might make me feel better in myself & hopefully make the painting seem a little easier.
Why am I doing it & no one else ? Simple really - I want to do it, so B does not have to worry about it & it'll last a few years. It'll be something she can forget about for a while & concentrate on other things. It's just another thing I need to do - to get things in order - as I say, so she will not have to worry about it !! Might sound stupid - but it's all part of my plans for the World - never mind....... it makes sense to me !!
J & I were just talking about Nightwish...... when will the new album be out ? I think it'll be early next year from what I've seen on their web site - hopefully it'll be as good, if not better than 'Dark Passion Play' !! Now that is a brilliant album & you should try & give it a listen if you can - go on, spoil yourself !!
Talking of spoiling things - B & I have decided, no matter what, when we go to Church on Sunday - the guy I wrote about last weekend will not be getting any sweets out of us !! B is still really mad that he went into her handbag, like he did !! I think mad is probably an understatement - she is boiling !! We'll see how Sunday goes, I guess - as long as the young ones get a sweet - that's the main thing !! Bless them, we love the kids - they are brilliant, well, most of them !!
Also - on the spoiling thingy.... the BBC are giving showing all the F1 GPs from next year !! That is such a crock - we can't all pay for Sky boxes & what have you, just to watch one of favourite sports...... I bet they won't cut back on the horse racing or football coverage - tho', the Beeb hardly shows any football at the moment... so, that's not such a bad thing !!
They were on the radio today, talking about how much it cost to cover the races from around the World - nobody made the point that, at the moment, they have coverage of the swimming, from China !! How much does that cost ? Oh well - it's not the end of the World - but it does stink a bit !! Never mind......
