So - today is my birthday - "Happy Birthday To Me"........ it's been a wonderful day so far. Pressy's from the kids & a tin of toffee from B - I'll attack that at some point along the ways, not today tho' !!
Talking of B - she has just gone out with ME, to get my 'birthday tea' - a kind of tradition in this old household of ours. Whoever has the birthday gets to pick the 'tea'...... & as I know what the guys like, B has gone out to collect it !! The other member of the family, J is here abouts to keep an eye on me..... but I feel pretty good today, so no problems there !!
I've had a couple of bad nights - but today seems to be OK...... the weather is fine, the music is loud & I've not got too much to moan about as far as this o' life of mine goes !! Heck, it's my birthday, it's a great day !!
The music of the moment is the Gov't Mule discs I did a while back - from their 'Deepest End' DVD.... I really like disc 3 of the set - the 'Voodoo Chile' they do is really good !! I play it over & over.... check out the DVD if you have chance !!
It feels very much like a weekend here - usually ME is out at Uni & we're rushing around - but, today we're all here abouts & it really does feel like a Saturday !! Oh - this weekend is the British F1 Grand Prix & that is worth a recording.... we won't watch it Sunday, but it'll be a good watch later in the week at some point !!
In a little while, the 'Firefly' season is on the box - so I'm going to spend an hour watching that... it has a really good sense of fun about it which appeals to me. I didn't watch it first time around, but - well, it's caught up with me a bit now !! I really am not thinking of doing very much today - a bit of TV, some loud music & time with my family....... life is good !!
I've just had the postman come - one birthday card....... at least my family & 'true' friends love me !!
