It's a wet & messy Wednesday night..... by messy, I mean cold, wet & not very nice at all outside !! Never mind - it's nice & warm here in the house.... and I'm not going anywhere tonight !! Well, apart from bed - but, not yet folks !!
Ok - why "another mess up" ? Simple really.........
We have a little library in the village, and we keep getting told, we should use it - or lose it - which kind of makes sense. But, today - J took a DVD box set back to the place & according to the web site, I still have the thing at home with me !! That's just crazy !!
What makes it worse, on Monday, B dropped off some Cd's & then had to go back, because I was still booked as having them here at home !! It's soooooooo mad..... why should we use the place, if they can't do the job right !! Surely, it's not that hard - it's only a case of scanning a "bar-code" & letting the computer do the rest..... oh well, my life will go on & on & on !! But, twice in one week.... why bother !!
Never mind..... At the moment, as I type these words, ME is sat here with me - she's taking the chance to wrap some Christmas gifts, while it's quiet. J, is upstairs & B has gone out to a gym class. It's all good......
I've not put any music on - which is kind of heartbreaking - but, there is a TV programme on in a minute & I want to record that for B....... it has two of her all time favourite 'cooks' on it & I know she'll enjoy watching that later !! I would much rather have something loud & banging on.... but, not just yet !!
We've been out for quite a bit today... only into town to do some monthly bill paying. It's a bummer, but it has to be down !! We also did a bit of food shopping - only a few odds & ends to keep us going for a day or two !! Still cost tooooo much tho'.......
Also today - well, I've written a letter to the area planning office. If you've read my words, earlier in the week (yesterday) - well, you'll know I wasn't too happy over the meeting on Monday night. So, I've written to the area office, to ask what the heck was going on !! It was the first planning meeting I (think) have ever gone to & to be honest, it was really a bad experience !! If that's what a planning meeting is meant to be like, then there is something very wrong with the system !! I'll let you know what turns up - if I ever hear back from them !!
I also had to laugh at our friend, here in the village.... she moaned & moaned about the planning, but didn't go to the meeting. I called her last night & told her what had happened - she wasn't a happy bunny !! Never mind - I think it was stitch up..... the planning is going thru' & there ain't nothing we're going to do, to change things !! Oh well..........
I wish I had some music on - but, not just yet. I have 3 Cd players here, beside me in the rec-room. Between them, they hold 11 discs.... so, they are usually all loaded & ready to play - mostly with a wide range of stuff........ I've been playing Glen Campbell's 'Goast On The Canvas' Cd..... I didn't think I would enjoy it, but.... I've been hooked on for days now. But, Nightwish, Within Temptation & Dream Theater have also been blasting away !! All good stuff !!
I see my American & Russian readers have been logging on + my German & French readers........ so, you're all welcome to my blog !! I'm just "gobsmacked" how many of you log in.... thank you for reading folks..... I'm glad you're all there !!
My plan tonight is to finish this TV show & then get on with some real music, something to nod along to, for the rest of the evening !! I'm still playing the Rush 'live' set 'Time Machine' & really enjoying that - my friend calls it "Hero Music"..... I'm not sure where he gets that from.... oh well !! It's all good stuff !!
The programme has just ended & I'm now blasting the lasted Nightwish album thru' the speakers... or I was.... ME has decided we're going to watch the Royal Variety Show. Me, I'm giving up & going to bed !!
