Today is a very special day - one of our best friends is getting married !! So, to T & R - we wish you every happiness & all the blessings that God can give you....... I just wish we could be there with you !! But, Utah is a little too far for me to travel this morning - so....... we'll send you our love instead !!
Actually - we would of really love to have been there & kept quiet, someplace outside - to go "BOO !!" as you came out !! Never mind - we'll knock on your door one day guys !!
Ok - it's a Saturday here in England.... it's not a very nice day out side, but - in here, the smell of fresh baked pies & cakes is filling the air as I type !! B is behind me - cooking for all her life !! We have fresh mince pies, apple pie & I'm not sure what else...... if I could share it all with you, I would - just remember, mince pies are for life, not just for Christmas !!
So, I'm typing, B is baking & J is upstairs........ our Daughter (ME) is out at work today. She left about 9am & I think she is staying at her boyfriends tonight.... so, we'll see her tomorrow sometime. Her foot is still sore, from last night (read yesterdays post)..... but, off she went anyhoo......
Apart from the baking, it's been a quiet morning here... well, quiet, as in all I've done is dry a few dishes. Music wise, it's been a very loud few hours !! I've been playing varous Gov't Mule Cd's.... picking my favourite tracks as I've gone along. I love the way they bring other peoples songs to life in their own little way !! The music of the moment is the 3 Cd set I picked up at last weeks record fair - it's the first time I've heard most of it.... I've been playing far too much Rush this week !!
As for other plans this weekend - well.... we'll take it as it comes I guess. Hopefully I'll be well enough to go to Church tomorrow, but - as my back is hurting like mad at the moment, I'll see what I'm like in the morning !! I went to bed early last night & slept like a log.... unfortunately, waking up this morning wasn't so easy !! Never mind.... it's another day & we're grateful for all we can have together.
B is going to be busy this week - she has me to deal with + there are a few meetings she will be involved in..... add to that, weight watchers & Christmas shopping - well, it's going to be hectic !!
Monday evening is the meeting to discuss the neighbours building plans - I still think they will get the go ahead, but.... there are sooooo many people against it, it will be interesting to see what will happen. Even people from other roads in the village have logged complaints against it - so, we'll see...... If the worse comes to the worse, we can always upsticks & move house - but, that will be a very last resort !! But, it's something to think about ....... as a very last resort !!
Oh well - that's it for now - I must away...... I've got lots of nothing to do & lots of time to do it in !! My thanks to all of you who have logged in this week - keep reading !! Until next time......
