Around the corner, trying to rebuild......

Well "Hello" again Worlds.... I see quite a few of you have logged in today...... my thanks, to you all !!

Ok - I was feeling pretty low earlier.... as I said, not 100%.... but, I've had a sleep this afternoon & now, I'm feeling somewhere around the corner, trying to re-build !!  So, I decided to write some more & see how things go !!  It's time to "flap the wings" again & see where I land up..........

It's a little after 6pm - B has just gone out to the last Thursday gym class, before Christmas, so that leaves J & my old self here in the homestead...... ME is out for supper, with her boyfriend & won't be home until later.

I mentioned earlier, that she was teaching some first years today, at Uni....... it seems she scared them a bit - telling them how much work they had a head of them !!  One thing about my Daughter, she is not backwards in telling things the way they are !!  When I get chance, I'll ask her how it went - her text to B, was really funny, the way she explained things !!

That's one thing with our 'kids' - they are not shy !!  They will bite their lips, rather than upset people - but when it comes to opinions, they certainly know their own minds !!  I get into trouble at Church - I'm tooooooo much of a free spirit for some people.... but, if our guys ever decided to come along, I think the whole place would go up in flames !!  We are not your average Mormon family folks !!

We live as Latter Day Saints - but...... there is a limit !!  Honestly - to some members of the Church - there are two ways of doing things.... their way & the wrong way !!  I'm not built like that.........  Oh well - that'll put off my Mormon friends - but, if you know me......you know exactly what I'm like !!  The Church is a wonderful thing & we're all not as bad as I make them to be - but.........

Onwards......  The music of the moment is the brilliant Gregg Allman show that Lady V sent me a few months back.  If ever I'm low - music lifts me up & this Cd set - well...... it's brilliant !!  'Dreams' is playing as I type & it takes me right back to July & our trip to see the man himself in Birmingham !!  The number of people who want to loan this Cd off me is amazing..... sorry folks, get your own copy !!

I re-read the e-mail from my friend, about taking some of my old tapes & selling Cd copies of them at record fairs.  I read it again, just in case I mis-understood - I didn't !!  He really does want me to let him have tapes & then sell copies on........ where is this guys brain !!  There is no way in the World I'm getting involved in that - it's crazy !!  Just asking for trouble !!  Oh well - I do like my music, but I draw the line at some things !! I do collect Led Zeppelin recordings - but, putting tapes out there to sell, that's just dumb !!

For those of you who read this, mainly, for the music I play.... starting in the new year, I intend to do some kind of list of Zeppelin live shows that I have.  Nothing too boring, just something to keep myself happy !!  To give me something to do, from day to day, as it were...... we'll see how it goes.  I'll probably forget about it - me & my lack of memory !!  I, sort of, can't remember what I'm doing tomorrow, let alone next year !!

The Gregg Allman Cd is coming to an end soon - so, it'll be back to "pop-luck" what comes next !!  I think it's going to be Transatlantic's 'The Whirwind' Cd.... well, the bonus disc that came out with it.  It has a few good cover versions on it & bops along quite nicely !!  It's not the sort of Cd that you want to listen to, if you're looking for something 'light' - but, the bonus disc is pretty good !!  I have the 'live' 3 Cd set they brought out & - as yet - I've never played it all the ways thru' !!  With one track alone lasting just shy of 80 minutes - well, it takes some listening to !!

Tomorrow we're going Christmas shopping (I think), tho' it'll depend on the weather - if it's wet & cold, I'm staying in the house........ we could of gone tonight, late night shopping, with all the streets decked out with lights & market stores - it sounds good, but it wasn't for me this evening !!  It really does sound very 'ode English' - but, given how I am health wise & the wet weather.... I'm happy staying indoors !!

Tonight's plan & I do have one, for a change, is to set the recorder up for a couple of TV shows that are on.  We like one, in particular.... it's about the Amish communities & how 6 English guys are out there, learning & visiting them.  It's been a real eye opener - very surprising !!

So, apart from getting myself into bed - that's about it for tonight......... tho' a copy of 'A Salty Dog' is playing as I type & that makes me think I just might be playing some more music !!  Until next time - thank you for reading !!

Bye Bye
