Yep - another week has gone by here in England....... only 9 days to Christmas !! I would give a little "Yipppppeeeee" at this point, but, as we're nowhere near ready for the big weekend (we have two days of madness in England) - well, a cheer would not be a correct thing to do........... a low moan would be more to the point !!
Never mind - it'll be here when it gets here & gone just as quick, as usual !! We did pick up a couple of pressy's today.... & a Christmas tree - but, we are no ways near to getting excited about it !! That'll come on the morning - when the guys get up & open a couple of things.......... now they are older, the madness has faded away a bit !! It's still an exciting time - just a little less mad, now the 'kids' have grown up !!
Talking of the guys - J is upstairs in his Hobbit hole, ME is out at a works 'do' & B has just gone out to the gym & to pick up a few things we forgot earlier on. How we forgot things is beyond me - we went into ASDA & came out over £100 lighter !! Mind you, the freezer is stocked way to the top & the pantry is just as good !! So - food wise, we're on top of things......... as long as I can get all my stuff together, it should all go well !! By "my stuff", I mean the liquid food I tend to live off, from day to day...... it's not brilliant, but it keeps me going !!
Talking of liquids - I've found a flavoured water, that I can just about handle....... blackberry & elderflower. If you get chance, try it out - if my body can handle it, yours should be able to !! I used to drink ginger stuff - but, my Dr's took that little vice away from me - so, I take what I can now !! Onwards.......
It's a little after 6pm here at the homestead - it's been very windy & cold today.... but, not really that wet !! We were thinking about going further today - maybe - to do some more shopping, but I didn't have a great night - so B decided we could skip that. I don't mind really.... I just get very tired now, compared to even a few months ago !! It's crazy !! Makes me wonder how things will be in the new year - we can jump that hurdle, if we come to it !!
Talking of next year - my Wife & Dearest Friend has promised, today, to order the Allman Brothers most recent concerts, after we get passed the Christmas !! She is sooooooooooo good to me, bless her !! She said I could have them, as she was thinking about getting me another Cd player & - as my players are fine - the Cd's will be her gift to me !! See - even if she pretends to hate my music - she loves me enough to get me more !! I can't tell you, just how much I love her - she really is my Dearest Friend !! I'm very lucky.....
So, Lady V - make sure you keep some Cd's back..... I would hate for you to run out before I can order them !! As yet, I've not told B exactly how many it will be - but, we'll keep that one to ourselves & let it be a 'nice' surprise for her !! Hee-hee !! Onwards.........
As we've been out most of the afternoon, I've not played too much music today.... the music of the moment is 'Keys To Ascension' by Yes. Well, it's a 4 Cd set & I'm playing disc 1.... I'm not sure if I'll let it play all the way thru' - I'll see how things go.
Also on the music front, today I've picked up a copy of 'Live At Watkins Glen' by The Band.... 'Director's Cut' by Kate Bush..... 'The Old Grey Whistle Test - Prog Rock' by lots of people & 'Caught In The Act' by Michael Buble' - the last one really being for B & ME, as they both like him !! So - it's been a good day for music !! I get 4 new things & I'm still playing an old Yes Cd - there has to be some logic in there some place !! I'll play them over the weekend I guess......

As for my plans tonight - I'm not sure what I'm going to do.... as I didn't get mush sleep overnight, I might head for bed a little earlier than is normal, even for me !! The trouble is, if I go to sleep too early, I tend to pay the price tomorrow....... so, I'll kind of wait & see how things go. B will be home about 8.30 - so, I'll be here for when she gets here !! I'll see how I go.......
I've no big plans for the weekend - tho' there is a carol service at Church on Sunday night - so, if I'm well enough, we'll go to that. I'm struggling to get to Church at the moment - the Spirit is willing, the body just lets me down !! I'll see how I go on Sunday - as usual, time will tell !!
So - that's my exciting life... well, up to this moment anyhoooooooo. If I'm a good boy, it might just improve as the days go by - if not, the Lord will care for us & maybe, just maybe, the implant might start to work !! That would be good...... as yet, it's still not working - but, as I've said before - it can be adjusted, so here's hoping !!
